#DallasCowboys Fish Report SCOOP: Shavon Revel story is FALSE

important uh got a uh phone contact today just now from the Dallas Cowboys asking me what the hell is going on with the media the national media and its report on Shannon Revel Jr the prized rookie quarterback and the suggestion that he’s had an injury setback diddly diddly [ __ ] what i’m Mike Fischer your trusty and trust reporter doing half-day work here uh on the Fish Report and at cowboys.com uh I’m sorry at cowboyscountry.com and and we’ll call it out by name uh it’s the national reporter Albert Brerier at Sports Illustrated and he is in print and online saying that Rall has sustained an injury setback uh this is stunning news he of course is rehabbing coming out of college um they the god boys drafted him knowing that that was going to be the deal that he was going to rehab the timetable is not firm um whether or not it’s training camp or the regular season that’s unknown and the Cowboys are wise to not completely pinpoint that yet but the Sports Illustrated report suggests like like now right now that Rall has had an injury setback and I think in the conversation it was talked about uh a little bit of an injury setback or something so here comes the text here comes the communication from the Cowboys from the people that are very involved in this going no where do they where are they getting this there is no setback there’s no little setback there’s no big setback there’s no change in the timetable nothing happened negatively to Shannon reveal nothing completely made up um some people have come to the defense already in fact one person inside the building is kind of saying maybe maybe SI meant the injury setback from when he was in college but that doesn’t make any sense why would you come out with a breathless report today saying “Hey I had a setback.” Yeah like a year ago yeah we we know that somebody goofed up and somebody goofed up badly john Wallen says everything’s about clicks I guess but I don’t think this is like a an accident on purpose i don’t think uh SI and Albert Brerier made this up on purpose i don’t think they just goofed um I think and nobody inside this building and we’ve believe me we’ve been hustling here nobody inside not this building nobody inside that building inside the Star knows what he’s talking about so somebody miscommunicated something uh it sent a few people into a bit of a panic probably sent Cowboys Nation into a bit of a panic too by the way thank you for hitting the like button here as we do this and subscribing to what we do and reading cowboyscountry.com nathaniel just because it’s a slow news day doesn’t mean they have to lie about the news it’s weird to me that you would go with this and not check check and check again because this is kind of a big deal the Cowboys are counting on him to be a player they think they’ve got a a budding star here certainly a potential starter uh in fact a healthy Rell changes the way that secondary looks you you can do more with Don Bland you’ve got Elum obviously um and we’ve talked about the the size that this kid brings at 6’3 195 and he seems bigger um you put this guy inside put that guy outside uh you don’t you can spoon feed him a little bit and then of course eventually hope hopefully during the season Trayvon Diggs comes along so he’s in the plan somebody just said “I should have put this out this morning i should have put this fire out this morning.” Man I’m not in the mood to swear i I get to everything as fast as I can get to it but let me let me teach you a lesson about how we do it if we were just grabb around here then we would be doing what they just did cuz they grabbed this so I’m going to I’m going to take my calls i’m going to take my time and we’re going to get it right do you mind i didn’t think so uh 75,000 fish heads in Cowboy Nation understand the way we do it here shame on the national media for I making this up or getting it wrong or misreading their text or something uh but they created a mess here and as soon as I can as soon as I could get to it I’m cleaning up the mess taking out a big mop and fixing it and I’m doing it for you and I’m doing it for me you can read more about this at cowboyscountry.com and more about everything uh including why they didn’t sign Jer Alexander but why they did just sign another former Packers cornerback and why they just signed uh a defensive lineman who’s got a history of being a playmaker as well go get some of that at cowboyscountry.com and then hang out with us every morning here this week when we continue our series on the Cowboys Mount Rushmore position by position fish out
