so could the Golden State Warriors be trading away Draymond Green to the Detroit Pistons this 2025 NBA off season well here on the screen is a snippet of an article from footboom.com the link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself but it says the trade proposal in this imagined trade Detroit would acquire Draymond Green while Golden State would receive Detroit’s second round draft picks in 2027 2029 in 2031 although giving up multiple future picks the staggered nature of these selections helps protect the Pistons from losing too much at once notably Detroit would retain his 2026 first round draft pick which looks valuable as the team continues to rebuild so I actually disagree quite a bit with a lot of things mentioned in this trade proposal now first and foremost I know Draymond Green’s value isn’t exactly as high as it would have been during his prime but it still is relatively high in my opinion i can’t really see a world where if Draymond Green were to get traded that first round draft picks at the very least wouldn’t be heading back to Golden State in return also too you have to make the money work financially speaking as well so you’re going to have to add a player um to make the salaries work this way but uh I actually do agree that Draymond Green if he were to get dealt uh this off season would be a pretty good fit on this Pistons roster the Pistons surprised a lot of teams last year and a lot of people out there uh by making a playoff push and truthfully speaking having a really good team uh Kate Cunningham Jaden IV VSR Thompson uh these are awesome players and if you want to add a veteran to this group especially a defensive anchor like Draymond Green with championship experience and a player that plays hard each and every night this could be a pretty good thing from a locker room perspective and Draymond Green of course I believe he is from Sagena uh which is in Michigan so a bit of a homecoming for him so to speak so I like the destination for Draymond Green if he were to get dealt i like the fit that this uh Pistons team would have with Draymond Green on the roster but as I mentioned before I don’t think three second round draft picks is enough it would probably have to include some first round draft picks and some roster players heading back Golden State’s way but uh so you know based on this trade scenario this would be a slam dunk in my opinion for the Pistons to make but as always leave your thoughts
