REJECTED ROSSI Canucks TRADE Offer!!!

hey everyone welcome welcome welcome to Kempner Conucks my name is Rev Trev today we’re going to be diving into trades the Conucks have talked about Jim Rutherford has expressed that we are going to be Now look at me we uh they I’m a fan i pay big money to go to games to uh buy the merch so I’m going to say we okay I’m going to say we we are going to be aggressive this off season to get a trade done and maybe it’s trades the reason why I believe that we’re going to be in the trade market um is because free agency i don’t think we’re going to land one of the big fish like Matt Duchain’s already resigned i don’t think Brad Marshon comes to Vancouver i don’t think Sam Bennett comes to Vancouver i think Nikolai uh Eers or Eers Ellers is going to be No Eers that’s right uh Nikolai Eers is going to be um going to Montreal that’s my guess but I would love him in a Vancouver uniform don’t get me wrong especially if we lose Brock Besser which it looks like we’re going to be doing so I I have big question marks of like how we can even make it uh be competitive if we just dived into the free agency market so they’re going to the trade route and and the big news this week has been that uh Rossi has been one of those guys that is sitting there and not appreciated in Minnesota and we have made an offer and the offer got declined so we’re going to talk about that today we’re going to talk about why it’s been declined and what’s going on there because Rossi has sat there and he’s upset about the play time he’s had 60 points this year only got 11 minutes of playing time um things didn’t go well for him in the playoffs and so he’s he’s done they’ve offered him five time 5 million a year times five years cuz they want to keep in the organization and he’s like no thanks so here he is he’s like “I want to be on the move.” Okay I want to be on the move so okay he’s on the move let’s just say I mean we know that we know that not just Let’s just say he is going to be on the move even though they want to keep him apparently he wants 7 million AAV times 7 years everyone and the Vancouver Conucks are saying “Okay we’re okay with that.” because it’s a 23y old centerman with a lot of skill and this is these guys are hard to find and you got a disgruntled one and you might as well say hey he needs a new uh chance at new new scenery so apparently there was two different things that the Canucks offered one is that they offered a roster player plus our 15th overall first round pick and they declined the question is if that is true of what has been reported is who was the roster player is it Joshua you know Dakota Joshua is it Neils Holander um I’d highly doubt it would be Sherwood is it Bluger who is it who is it that’s going to be going from Vancouver to there that is a huge huge question by the way everyone I’m sitting here uh in my truck i’m getting ready i’m was just getting uh looked at today um but I’m sitting here thinking about this Rosie deal and it’s disappointing because this is the guy I think as Kuck fans we’ve wanted target and a lot of people are critical of him because they’re saying listen he’s way too small he’s that guy you don’t want on your roster he’s that guy that you don’t want there because at the end of the day is he gonna move the needle but I’m telling you want skilled players people like he’s too small you got Person and then you got Rosie now and and I get it i get that conversation everyone but what is what’s the what’s the other alternative duchain’s already been picked up let’s be honest he’s not coming to Vancouver i would love it for him to come to Vancouver uh Brock Nelson’s already been um picked up by Colorado re extended with them like the the the list is going lower and lower i guess the only other option I mean I mean are you okay with it being more than that a roster player and a 15th pick now the other reports are that Vancouver just offered only that 15th overall pick and some of you like no I’d rather have the pick well those picks take two to three years to develop so I’m okay with moving that pick to get a guy like Ross Rossi who’s now walking into his third NHL season this is the exact time you want to get a guy like this but that that’s how long it takes and may maybe sitting there and having that pick would be in the best interest of the Canucks apparently the Canucks and the Calgary Flames are both open to moving that now I if if we cannot make a trade for Rosi let let’s be you know a lot of a lot of people are wanting that that deal with Buffalo with JJ uh Purka and I mean that makes sense with Bo and Byron that makes sense but what do you have to give up and that I think that’s a massive return coming back reports today from Rick Dollywal is saying that hey we are going to need Sorry we are now in extension talks with Connor Garland which I I’m thrilled a lot of Kak fans have suggested to me they should trade Connor Garland for Owen Tippet i don’t like that offer even though Owen Tippet’s a bigger guy he has less production um I like I like what I see in Garland i think he’s a fan favorite i think fans want to keep him he he lacks the size yeah but he’s got the grit he’s got the determination he’s he’s a skilled player and he’s way cheaper they’re talking about extending him what does that look like is it going to be more than 6.2 if it is move him for Owen Tippet but I don’t think that’s going to happen i think that’s just Canuck fans thinking about it thinking about talking how much he loves Garland that whole thing i don’t think that’s going to happen so what is going to happen what are the trades who’s on the block is Lucker Mackey on the block is it is it um I mean any of those AHL guys right is it DPY um I wouldn’t want to move him but you got to move some you have to you have to give up something to get something good right like at Manini uh you just start throwing in what what would people want off our team and starts getting murky like I don’t think we’re going to be thrilled about trade but man if it was Joshua and the 15th pick and we get Rosie would you be happy if it was Neil’s Holander in that would you be happy I I don’t know I think I would be I mean what if Rosie ends up being like some kind of lesser version of Celabbrini and Badard and I know those guys are super skilled maybe this is a bad example but like 60 points in his second NHL season everyone like think about that he’s going to get way more time in Vancouver i I wish we could pull this deal off that is something I really really really want us to do but maybe there’s another deal and I I’ve thrown out this one i’ve talked I I’ve done this uh trade video series for a while just go to my lives on um YouTube and you’ll see them all there but I’ve talked about even trading uh EP40 and if we could land a guy like Dylan Larkin for EP40 but the JJ Pur uh Purka and um and Bow and Bum wouldn’t you think they would want Person in return i would think so but the problem is we don’t have a centerman now and we need that centerman and that’s why Rosi was that guy that was like “Yeah that guy that guy fits the bill that guy fits the bill.” So interesting conversation hey the other crazy news is that the Canucks have circled back to talking to Pia Sudter about a contract extension talks had ended and you know what i love this guy depends how much he wants i think he’s going to get a lot of money on the open market i mean he’s he can do he’s a versatile player he plays penalty kill he can play center he can play on the left wing i I think he’s a guy that you want to look at but does he kn move the needle enough to be able to keep Quinn Hughes to be able to contend for a Stanley Cup i I’m not sure but if there’s no other options and how much would you feel comfortable with i’m under the assumption that it would be more like around the $4 million range but if it’s five I I’m not sure I’m in on that that’s a lot of money now I think we’re all going to be surprised on July 1st what people are going to be signing for it’s going to be huge money stupid term it always is in free agency but especially this year with everything going up the reason why I bring up this video is it’s disappointing that we didn’t get the deal done with Minnesota it does not mean it’s over for that deal to be done i’m really hoping we can but what do you think the Canucks should do how who would you want to give up to get a Rosie to get a Larkin to get name it cuz like let’s be honest we like Heedle but he’s a third line center who has injury history and we’re trying to play him as a second line center i I don’t know i don’t know if that works for us anyways thanks so much for watching i appreciate all the support we’re going to
