MLB LIVE🔴 Atlanta Braves vs Miami Marlins – Jun 20, 2025 | Full Game MLB 2025 EN VIVO
just about set to go now and today’s starting pitcher Ronnie Enriquez chris his strikeout rate this year among the best all time he’s truly one of the elite strikeout pitchers in the league i mean strikeouts per nine off the charts so the opposing team they know they have their work cut out for them anytime they’re facing this guy or a guy like this that’s going to get the swings and misses pretty much in a class of his own when it comes to that category ready to go and here is Ronald Akuna Jr just off the outside edge and this one is off and running that misses two and 0 on the ground right side and it finds its way through for ahead solo runner aboard to start the inning batting second the just a simple ground ball the other way that had eyes on it man sometimes that’s all you need to do just let the ball travel put the ball in play and just hope it finds a hole and now it’s the Braves dh Eli White good defender he’s been inconsistent offensively that one’s in there 0 and one enriquez a righty that throws with power 24 years old and he was born in the Dominican Republic akuna aboard here at first with nobody out had a breaking ball misses outside when you’re taking your lead over there at first you got to be very careful this guy on the mountain’s got a good pickoff move turn in the air out towards right center ramirez makes the catch and there’s one gone here’s Bryant Sneakers line up for the Braves and it’s clear the most important job they have today is getting to the starting pitcher early and often no doubt about that that’s the best way to disrupt a game but can they do it certainly something for us to pay attention to in this one partner and now Matt Olsen up to hit ronnie that’s a little bit low man at first one away not even close there ball two two count you really don’t want to give in here you got to work the edges really execute a pitch hopefully you can get back into this count and that is out of play here’s the pitch to Olsen on the ground to first to second for one and it’s over his head throw pulls him off the bag and he’s saved the third base a potential double play ball hit to first is probably the toughest one to execute cleanly that first baseman he’s got a very tough throwing lane to deal with because of the runner headed to second base and a lot of times guys try to throw over or around the runner which can really mess up a throw like that still definitely an error though two on one out and now it’s Atlanta’s cleanup hitter Austin Riley clips the corner strike one [Applause] breaking ball misses down and away way to lay off that pitch down he’s looking for a ground ball to get a double play and out of this jam two on one out and it is two and one tough spot right here a couple runners on two ball count you can’t nibble but you have to execute and finish your pitch if you leave something out over the plate it’s going to bring in some runs and there at the knees it’s two and two he’s gone off speed he needs to elevate here with two strikes out of the zone just miss this is a situation where the hitter is looking for something up in the zone that he can get his arms extended what you have to be careful of is that pitch that’s up that’s in on your hands that’ll pop you up in the infield and that’s exactly what the pitcher wants got him huge strike out there certainly a strikeout situation right there the infield playing back and this pitcher has to step up and get the swing and miss really nice job of attacking the hitter at the plate pretty big two out at bat coming up now here comes Ozuna up to the plate definitely scuffling at the dish lately under the Mendoza line so far this month swing and a tapper that rolls foul [Applause] that missed by a lot ball one runners on first and third two away [Applause] nope that’s inside it’s a big opportunity right here but I love the way he’s slowing the game down he’s shrinking his zone making sure he gets the pitch that he wants to hit two on two outs strike two and there’s a real chance they get out of this without allowing a run [Applause] [Applause] swang at a highf fly ball well struck senoha raging back towards the wall onto the track and he makes the catch one hit one error in the inning but they wind up leaving two now the Marlins will see what they can do no score back here in Lone Depot Park and starting this one Chris Sail singing he’s kind of a road warrior yeah I definitely say so you know some guys shrink a little bit on the road they’re so used to just you know having the comforts of being at home and having the fans behind them but this guy seems to thrive in adversity and being in hostile environment so when you have a player like this on your team that goes out there and competes you definitely like your chances away from your home ballpark [Applause] xavier Edwards the leadoff batter as he looks at ball one that one 95 missed up top two balls no strikes in today’s game not that many fast ball counts but hitters still in the back of their minds they’re looking for one two change up call right there excellent pitch selection to go with swing and a miss and that’s strike two this guy’s got such a good sinker as a hitter you’ve got to look up in the zone if you look down you’re going to be chasing stuff in the dirt [Applause] and a swing and a miss at the slider in the dirt in time to get him one away in the strikeout man it’s so difficult as a hitter to get on plane with that pitch it’s breaking down and in and you’ve got to find a way to match the plane and if it’s nasty like that one bite at the end most times you’re swinging over the top and walking back to the dugout here’s the rookie right fielder Augustine Ramirez off the mark there and that is ball one sale he gets a lot of swing and miss and he keeps the ball in the yard not to mention the fact not too many hits either even some of the best guys in the sport are going to give up home runs from time to time and he’s an exception yeah and even with those home runs if you’re throwing strikes and keeping base runners off the paths then those home runs are solo shots but to this point he hasn’t had to worry about it lays out buddy can’t squeeze it no throw and he reaches safely you look at what the elite guys do they strike hitters out they limit walks and they limit the ball going out of the park lopez otto Lopez the next up for the Marlins [Applause] the kick and the pitch runner goes little chopper rolls foul yeah all you want is a guy like that take the ball every fifth day go out there hand it over to the bullpin perhaps in the seventh inning or later on the ground left side six four three it’s a double play and that’ll do it for the inning end of one and we’re still scoreless al back here in Miami here is Aussie Alb’s update albz is playing on the road so you know that means he’s been facetiming with his pet fish this guy owns a few home aquariums and it’s no secret he likes talking to his fish when he’s away in fact Alb’s had cameras installed so he can check on the fish anytime he wants next offering is in for a strike ricky Holiday our umpire behind the dish known as pretty fair umpire for both hitters and pitchers yeah I think that’s right Bo there is a little inconsistency on the corners of the plate you can’t always be sure how it’s going to go with those borderline pitches as the game progresses [Applause] chris do players ever change their approach in meaningful ways based on who’s umpiring or is it good to just be aware of tendencies so you’re not that surprised i’d say the latter because pitcher got to pitch to his strengths regardless the hitter’s got to hit to his strength so you’re aware of it but you have to just hunt for what you can handle just off the outside edge as the game has moved along we see more and more information supplied by teams about the umpires i’ve been in clubhouses where they have pictures of all four guys nicknames hometowns and as well hobbies listed just so you can kind of small talk the umpire a little bit that’s great come on right side and it’s through for a hit they saw a lot of pitches in that at bat and found a way to win the battle batting seven the catcher Shawn here’s Shawn Murphy misses outside and it’s one and0 nobody out runner at first [Music] and that’s off the outside edge and the count is 2 and0 kicks and fires and a foul ball makes the count two and one [Music] [Applause] [Applause] swing and a tapper gets the catcher by a step that’s a good piece of hitting right there the job was to move the runner up and give your team a chance to score the go ahead run that’s exactly what happened so you better believe your teammates are happy with you after that at bat michael Harris II stands in now and watches strike one line drive and that should be extra bases headed for the plate he’ll score mission accomplished there as he picks up the RBI to give him the lead that pretty much split the zone down the middle and those are the ones where you got to make them pay one out runner at second Nick Allen next up for the Braves and that drops in for a strike [Applause] swig and a miss as he was out front that time one out and a runner at second here in the top of the second cuts on it and misses that’s a strike out slider got him for a strike three well take a look at the three pitch sequence here pretty simple in terms of putting them away at the plate once you’re ahead 02 as a pitcher you can really expand the zone and see how aggressive that hitter is going to be trying to protect and battle and right there clearly he was in swing mode but all you can do is hope to foul that off and here is Ronald Auna Jr he’s one for one lent off the game with a single swung on belted that one’s back there tattooed to Tater Town and gone it’s his eighth home run of the year and they boost their lead it’s 3 nothing he ambushed him right there Siggy yeah swinging on that first pitch and I think losing one over the fence is exactly what he had in mind as well that one was a hanger and pitchers typically don’t get away with making a mistake like that and right there he made him pay base is empty with two away eli White next up for the Braves first offering misses badly for ball one [Applause] just missed Enriquez maybe a little less aggressive on the mound right now after that home run chris yeah it seems that way you know guys they can come out feel good but then all of a sudden get touched up a little bit and they start trying to throw instead of pitch they’re not trusting their stuff yeah that skips in the dirt well he’s been good for the most part is it going to take someone going out to the mound to maybe refocus him a bit they’re all partner every pitcher is a little different i I liken it to you sometimes you come in and you’re not as focused and I kind of do what it takes to get you on track and then you have a great show uh so perhaps it’s the same with him nobody really wants their rhythm broken up but sometimes they need a little pickme up it’s been a little bit of a shaky inning but he’s still in a good spot to get out of this thing without giving up any more runs he’s just got to turn the page and go after this next guy [Applause] and it’s fouled away white leads off first with two down to the inning that one to first he takes it himself to the bag and that’ll do it bridge pick up two on the long ball it’s now 3 nothing back after this on the show we head to the bottom of the second now here’s the cleanup hitter for Miami Arberto Hernandez hernandez well after putting up a nice inning on offense got some runs across this is where you look for the starter to go out there have a shutdown inning don’t give that other team any hope n you just hope that he can get through this inning get the bats back up there while they’re hot a three-0 lead is great but you can’t get too comfortable got to stay aggressive keep attacking hitters try to cruise through this ball game a swing and a miss and that’s strike one just threw that fast ball by him elevated and if you’re not looking up in that location very difficult to catch up to especially with that velocity one ball two strikes fights that one away still one and two that’s foul off to the right side keeps the AB going swing and a ground ball up the middle sends it to first that’s one out in the bottom of the second i love how guys at this level are able to slow the game down whether it’s in the batters box or on defense and right there that was a good job of knowing just how much time he had we talk about that internal clock he was able to gather himself get a good grip and make an accurate throw across the diamond and now for the Marlins Eric Wagaman and first offering is fouled off headed towards the corner auna on the run tries to make the play but it’s fouled one out space is empty that misses the zone it’s a ball in two strikes two strikes count just missing off the plate there according to the umpire and out there on the mound maybe trying to get an explanation can’t say he’s convinced but it looks like he’s accepted it on the ground into the outfield base hit so a man aboard now with one away really nice job staying up the middle with his approach he didn’t try to do too much with the pitch just shot it through the infield and at the play for Miami Connor Norby and takes low for ball one sail delivers and that drops in for a strike and he chases that one below the zone knowing that the pitcher wants a ground ball double play opportunity here you’ve got to lay off pitches down in the zone right there swinging at that pitch that’s a no no that misses and the count is even two and two really close pitch down around the knees there and you could see him asking where it missed probably doesn’t agree but it appears he’s ready to move on to the next pitch and down on strikes he goes now two away oh nice job right there he struck him out twice the pitch before looked like it was strike three doesn’t get the call bears down throws another quality pitch for the strikeout at the plate Nick Forez and the first pitch misses for ball one sail ready and that’s fouled off [Music] on the inside corner for a strike on the ground right side he takes it himself to the bag and that’ll do it marlins leave one they trail in this one three nothing now pitching forward we’re back to start the third and there’s a new arm on the mound jansen Junk just trying to keep this one close here and this is where a bullpen can give their players a chance to fight back into the game [Applause] here is Austin Riley went down on strikes his first time through riley miami first pitch misses you know these Braves doing a good job of simply getting the bat on the ball in this game and the numbers back that up and here’s a stat for you Boo they’re making contact with more than 85% of the pitches that they’re swinging at it’s pretty special stuff not so good if you’re out there on the mound marceluna marcelo Zuna coming up to hit 0 for one with a fly out to center and a big swing and a miss first pitch strike right there for him he’s going to have to do that consistently if he’s going to give any length to his skipper swings and misses and it’s nothing in two [Music] hard ground ball base knock so they get a man aboard with a one out single still able to come through behind in the count right there he got that front foot down and pitch recognition was on point pretty impressive for an 02 count azie Alvi’s up to the plate singled and scored his first time and that’s too high all one no strikes the 10 swinging a foul back and that’s out of play instead of letting the hitter get his arms extended tied him up a little bit slightly up slightly in that’s the third fair ball they get it in quickly so first and second now one out that’s back to back singles for him just found a way to slap that ball down the third baseline that’s really excellent back control and it kind of goes back to all those drills you see hitters do off the tee where it’s placed in different spots that was just nice so here’s Murphy now that one missed [Music] pitch misses there and it’s 2 and 0 he’s getting a little frustrated out there on the mound getting hit around a little bit let’s see if he can settle himself down [Music] at 96 that pitch is in for a strike well I think that pitch surprised all of us right down the middle doesn’t get a swing not very often you see a hitter lay off a cookie like that in the air pretty deep out to center field and there’s two down [Applause] now batting the center fielder Michael Harris here’s the center fielder Michael Harris i second one for one with a double and a run scored atlanta first pitch doesn’t find the zone swing and a hard hit grounder to third fair ball rounds third headed for the plate the throw is offline and he’s in to score and it’s 4 nothing wasting no time he’s two for two now on the night and just a triple and home run away from the cycle seriously we’re starting with this already first and second two outs so now to the plate for Atlanta nick Allen 0 for one he struck out swinging last time that one finds the zone strike one traffic on the bases with one already in we’re here in the top half of inning number three and it’s even up that’s ball two [Applause] and a curb misses outside first pitch strike from the pitcher but then no panic at all by the hitter very patient showing good discipline now he’s in the driver’s seat with a 3-1 count fouls one away and now three and two i wouldn’t throw him another breaking ball try to go again with a fast ball slightly elevated he just having a hard time catching up swinging a foul ball at the plate they’ll do it again [Applause] spoils a two strike pitch and he’ll see another ah ground ball and that’s through the infield azy flying around third throw is offline and he scores and the lead is up to five back to back base hits he kind of rolled over on this pitch a little bit but he got enough behind it to shoot it through for a knock and you’ll take that anytime you can get him to find a hole back to the leadoff spot in the Braves lineup now the leadoff spot for the Braves ronald Auna Jr squirts away a little bit counts one and0 [Applause] he swings and fouls one off [Music] [Applause] and that one off the outside edge two outs couple of base runners at first and second fall off foul [Applause] swings through it and that’s a strike out so it’s two runs on four hits no errors and a couple left on we head now to the home half of inning number three it’s the Braves five and the Marlins nothing and we’re back as we go to the last of the third now the left fielder Kyle Sters sale back to work strike one going to really need to hang in there with that front side against this left-handed breaking ball and he boots it still fires to first but it’s not in time base hit man at first and here’s the rookie center fielder Javier Senoha and first off is fouled off [Music] miami swings through that one out in front that time quickly in an 02 count you’ve got to figure out a way to shorten your path to the baseball put it in play somewhere then you got a chance in the dirt [Music] and sail deals fights it off he’ll see another sters on at first nobody out on the ground two ball to second that’s one throw to first safe he’s good now it’s the Marlins leadoff hitter Xavier Edwards he’s 0 for one and ball one he’s great hitting the ball the other way and that pitch did a good job to straighten him up a bit mission accomplished up and in and that’s ball two tap foul at the plate upstairs three balls one strike [Applause] on the ground the third might be two offbalance feed there’s one double play and that’ll do it for the inning no runs one hit no errors and no one left on to inning number four it’s the Braves five and the Marlins nothing and welcome back to the ballpark now it’s the DH Eli White white white 30 years old now and he’s usually in the outfield today he’s the DH on the ground to the left and that one finds its way through and the leadoff man aboard the batter the first baseman Matt Ols and the batter now Matt Olsen bowl for two in this one that’s down and in ball one no strikes rudder at first with no outs here now move to first and he’s back safely inside two and one miami that one off the mark three and two now battling here as he fouls it away [Music] and that one is lifted in the air senoha flashes the leather on the run and catch every day during batting practice these outfielders get about 10 minutes of balls in the gaps they practice this and when the game comes they make the play perfectly here comes Austin Riley riley that’s in there and that’s strike one [Music] [Music] to the right side boots it and they get the out good recovery wasn’t easy following the misplay the left fielder number 20 Marcel Ozuna here’s Marcel Ozuna right through there for a strike that one finds the zone 0 and2 now and a bat like this is almost over as it begins in this situation you have no idea what the next pitch is going to be you just got to hope that you can make contact misses now one and two well he’s not afraid to fall into a two strike count knows the strike zone very well so much so that I think umpires will look at him and determine whether it’s a ball or strike if he swings or not runner at second two down top half of inning number four twins and misses it’s a strikeout tied him up on a fast ball inside one left for Atlanta but they hold a five nothing lead back here at Lone Depot Park bottom four down the number two hitter Augustine Ramirez ramirez swinging a foul straight back here comes the one and there’s the ball was a good pitch there really had some run and finished little up and end just on the edge and that’s one of those if you swing at it a broken bat as you jog back to the dugout the 2-1 hammered but pulled foul here’s a 2-2 tap dances out of the way of that one he should get a pretty good pitch to hit here with the three-hole hitter coming up if he’s walked so now three and two and it’s fouled off they’ll do it again [Music] bounce to the right olsen handles the chance he’ll do it himself lead off hitter retired batting shortstop Otto Lopez otto Lopez the next up for the Marlins he hit into a double play his first time up you talk about elite defensive players especially in the middle of the diamond and this guy is at the top of the list and the first pitch misses for ball one and you played behind guys and they loved having your speed out there defensively one of the things that we talk about is how much pitchers enjoy having those elite defenders behind him and the one thing about that is speed never goes into slump and defense shouldn’t either hittingwise you can struggle you can lose your mechanics but the thing that you can do consistently every single game is play great defense if you’re talented in that way and this is what this guy does and that’s in the dirt two down and that’s down and away tried to back door him with that slider right there but just missed off the plate good pitch though [Music] now a high-fly ball out to left center ozuna ranging after it makes the grab for the second out up next for the Marlins the designated hitter Arberto two out space is empty arberto Hernandez the next up for the Marlins grounded out his first time up come on Miami swing and a highf fly ball out towards right center field under it is auna to make the grab and that is that back here in Miami and now it’s the switch in second baseman Azie Albies check swing called strike you know these Braves really impressing me with the quality of their bats in this one it’s been fun getting a chance to see him go to work it looked to me like they really wanted to get to the starter early get him out of the game before he settles in so I’d say mission accomplished and down on strikes and he’s registered three Ks in this one now it the catcher now it’s the Atlanta catcher Shawn Murphy and that’s outside and that’s ball one [Music] that misses off the outside edge that one is upstairs base is empty one away and we’re in the top of the fifth and he walked him on four pitches perfect just came apart right there four pitch walk and guy at the plate was not going to help him out by swinging at something out of his own one gone runner at first next to hit Michael Harris the second that one misses that’s five straight ground ball left side could be two over to second for one on the first double play and that’s the inner offense held in check there home half of the fifth coming up it’s the Braves five and the Marlins nothing we head to the bottom of the fifth and now for the Marlins Eric Wagan eric Wagerman they had a foul ball you know these Marlins just aren’t putting great swings on the baseball in this one they’re trying to find ways to drive the ball with some authority but it’s just not happening for him so far zero extra base hits in the game so it’s been tough for him to get anything going and he grounds one to the right side he steps on the bag one up one down he’s doing a nice job of keeping the ball out of the air lets the defense work behind him with another ground ball good execution and up next for Miami Connor Norby struck out looking at his first at bat sometimes you have to keep chipping away until you break through but it’s a lot easier to put runs on the board when you have runners in scoring position because they put themselves there next offering in there for a strike and the count one and one the 1-1 is fouled off and a swing and a miss down on strikes that K is his third of the game he’s locked in at the plate when he’s using the whole field he was out in front there just needs to let the ball travel a little more and his timing will be back on track good pitch for the strikeout come on man you can do this for in the box now no balls in a strike wow that’s 89 on the gun and it’s a change up it’s like good hitting if you’re looking for it but because of the speed differential between the fast ball and that pitch really hard for a hitter to get on time with it two out space is empty next off down in the dirt swinging a miss sail picks up the strike out and one two three go the Marlins still looking at that five nothing deficit and we’re back start of the six john Shami with Chris Singleton and leading off Nick Allen miami jump back to work a short stop takes the ball miami’s bullpen with some action anthony Bender the right-handed sinker baller he looks to be readying himself foscher a hardthrowing right-hander up as well [Music] in the air center field senoha settles underneath it hauls it in and there’s one away now batting right fielder Ronald Aun back to the top of the lineup Ronald Akuna Jr next up for the Braves he’s already homered here in this one that one in 95 missed up top one and0 and another ball two balls no strikes next offering is in for a strike [Music] and a foul ball sea strikes him out for the second time today oh you know that’s got to be very frustrating for this guy he knows the strike zone extremely well and you know what good hitters are not going to compromise is he’ll take that punch out but ultimately stick with his plan and have more success than anything else two down base is empty eli White the next to hit and a first pitch fast ball is in for a strike fly ball to right ramirez coming on brings it in with a nice running grab and that’ll do it nothing doing here this half 891 scheduled in the bottom of the sixth it’s the Braves five and the Marlins nothing well we go bottom six at the plate for Miami kyle Stard that one’s in there strike one he’s pitching well but not throwing a ton of first pitch strikes usually doesn’t work out for success but you can never predict baseball the 1-1 swings through that one for strike two and it really looks like these hitters have been in between with their timing today good fast ball excellent slider but they’ve not been able to commit to one velocity and stay there really love the pitch sequence right there i’m telling you what catcher on the same page right now javier Senova the next up for the Marlins come on Miami that one misses and that’s ball one next offering pop foul off to the right out of play one down base is empty hit on the ground to short allen sends it across to first two up two down now batting second base Xavier Edwards here’s the second baseman Xavier Edwards a switch hitter batting right and first offering is fouled off and delivers outside bull that’s out [Music] that one fouled off two and two that wasn’t an easy pitch to hit it’s much easier to do damage against mistakes but that’s not what that pitch was goes down looking nothing doing for the Marlins it’s 5 nothing now pitching for Anthony Bender gets the call from the pen well he’s been a really tough guy to take deep this season you usually have to string some hits together in order to get to him here’s Matt Olsen down 0 for three in this one matt Olsen miami first pitch misses that one missing inside [Music] tapped out in front of the plate in plenty of time to first and Olen is set down the batter the third baseman Austin Riley and the batter now Austin Riley 0 for three a fly out a ground out and a strike out [Music] first pitch doesn’t find the zone one no strikes and he takes a strike not close with that one and a count two and one pulls that one foul still two and two after the foul ball on the ground right side into the outfield base hit so a man at first and next for Atlanta Marcelo Zuna one for three and the first pitch misses for ball one let’s go Miami and it’s even up to Ozuna good approach right there you want to get something just a little higher that you can elevate stay out of that double play so a foul ball makes it one and two [Music] swing and a miss and he got him and there are two down and here comes the batter number Alby’s to the dish aussie Albby and that clips the inside corner and a strike in there [Applause] [Music] [Applause] swing and a miss struck him out pulled the string on the change up no runs one hit no errors and a man left midway in inning number seven and it’s time to stretch it’s the Braves five and the Marlins nothing and welcome back to the ballpark bottom of the seventh and now the right fielder Augustine Ramirez seems like the hitters are struggling with their timing today kind of caught in between that sharp fast ball and the nasty slider i’d like to see him settle on a consistent pitch the Braves bullpen has some activity raphael Montero preparing to come on if needed ruiz also getting ready swing and a miss nice change up one ball two strikes that one missed hit on the ground to the right side and he takes it himself for the out the batter number six shortstop Otto Lopez otto Lopez will hit next this pitcher has done a good job of disrupting the hitter’s timing with the mix of pitches and changing speeds you want to keep that front foot inconsistent for the batter their swings are hesitant and that’s exactly what you want on the mound ball one there next pitch is outside definitely a frustrating day for the offense but when they look at it this guy’s had his best stuff painting the corners working on the edges and changing speeds just a difficult one you typically count and that’s way high and the count is three and one he hasn’t fallen behind in the count like this all day he’s in danger of walking his first batter right here next offering is in for a strike base is empty one away here the bottom of the seventh fouled off again and it remains three and two right side and Akuna able to make the grab two away now batting the designated hitter and next is the designated hitter Arberto Hernandez swinging a foul straight back two down nobody on foul ball there the lefty closing in on 100 pitches that’s towards center harris has a beat on it makes the grab and that’s the inning now pitching for Calvin Foch taking over on the mound i think it’s got to be a little tough coming in out of the pin when your guys are trailing so big on the scoreboard just doesn’t have the same intensity to it but he’s got to find a way because these batters count the same for the stats obviously regardless of the score catcher and here’s the catcher shawn Murphy he’s built his reputation as one of the top framers in the sport and first off Rang is fouled off he’s a bullpen arm that keeps the ball in the ballpark but obviously out of the bullpen you’re looking to limit home runs yeah and that’s why he’s such a high leverage arm just doesn’t matter for him he looks at attacking the zone and attacking hitters regardless of the situation [Music] and that misses yeah the count one and two one ball two strikes the count and they’ll do it again good job to fight that one off [Music] on the ground right side and foul ball and a one-two gets a piece there we’ll do it again also really good at bat what I like about this guy his bat stays in the zone for a long time gives him the ability to foul off tough pitches and there’s a fly ball deep right field that one is back grabs it right up against the wall up next for Atlanta the center fielder Michael now in for the Braves Michael Harris II [Applause] breaks his bat and pops it up norby snags it that’s out number two the batter number two two out space is empty nick Allen digs in now off the mark there and that is ball one signs of activity in the pen for the Marlins calantrol up and throwing alcantara warming up as well two outs and a swing and a miss one ball one strike that one not close and it’s two in one just missed ronald Auna Jr would be next if they can extend the inning and he’s homered already so I’m sure he’d love a chance to do some more damage here that clips a corner full count [Applause] that’s a good at bat right there he was down early in that plate appearance works the walk man that’s a tough one to take on the full count but I guess he saw it really well it’s a really nice plate appearance here’s Ronald Auna Jr at the plate he’s already homered in this game in for a strike 0 and one some hitters are just more confident they can track that first pitch out of the hand of the pitcher they don’t care if they fall behind 01 [Music] that one fouled off allen off of first with two away outside low and the count is one and two strikes him out limp it’s a sweeper and it worked so no runs no base hits no errors and a runner left last half of the eighth coming up it’s the Braves five and the Marlins nothing now pitching back now new pitcher on the mound as we roll into the bottom of the eighth Raphael Montero and he’s had a really hard time throwing strikes so far this season his walk rate is up there among the worst in the league for relievers wagamin stands in here takes ball one low one and0 off the plate and the countdown now two and nothing he’s clearly trying to work him away here both pitches off the plate if you really want to put the ball in play you’re going to have to stay back and drive it to the opposite field and that’s downstairs and now 3 and 0 so definitely a little wild right out of the gate well it could be a little tough coming from the bullpin mound to this mound but you’ve got to find a way to get ahead in the count quickly he hasn’t we’ll see how this at bat turns out that one misses so a lead off walk well that’s a really good take right there and that’s just mentally prepared knowing that if it’s not on a TE you’re going to take that pitch because you still have one more strike to work with not easy to lay off but he did an excellent job in that plate appearance connor Norby the next up for the Marlins norby not having as much success with the bat here at home as you see the splits cut on and lifted in the air har is racing after it and there’s one down the catcher number four Nick Forz and now for the Marlins Nick Forez come on Nick and that one fouled off the Braves leading by five here in the bottom half of the eighth inning and that misses at one and one movement in the bullpen aaron Bummer getting ready to come in for manager Brian Snicker so a foul ball makes it one and two ground ball up the middle that’s a base hit quick throw back in lead runner holds it second with one gone now batting the left fielder Kyle Kyle Sters the next up for the Marlins let’s go here come on [Applause] that one finds the zone that’s strike one really good job in this spot to get ahead in the count he’s going to have to continue finish off this hitter that one outside and the count is one and one [Applause] swing and a popup foul territory for the catcher pulls it down and there’s two gone now batting center fielder coming Javier Senoha the next up for the Marlins he’s been really clutch with runners in scoring position this season so they’ll have to be extra careful in this matchup let’s go Miami pop foul out of play off to the right swinging a miss at a slider well you got the hitter already chasing that nasty slider if you’re on the mound you just want to expand the zone right now get a swing and miss and get through this at bat pitch misses outside and count one and two two on two outs [Applause] and there’s a ball [Music] got him looking for the strike out a controversial called strike three to end the inning now pitching for we’re back it’s the top of the ninth and there’s a new pitcher on the mound calantrol he doesn’t get a lot of strikeouts compared to other relievers so he relies on getting that soft contact and the defense doing work behind him they’ll have to be on their toes with him on the bump eli White getting ready to hit eli White [Applause] that misses ball one [Applause] and another ball and that eats him up now batting the first baseman Matt here’s Matt Olsen 0 for four with three ground outs and a fly out and first offering is fouled off [Applause] called strike right there miamiy’s bullpen with some action valente Beayoo up and loosening in the pen [Music] [Applause] fouled off and they’ll do it again [Applause] swaging a bouncer handles throws to first now one gone in the ninth now batting third baseman Austin Riley austin Riley at the plate [Music] [Applause] oh he doesn’t get the call and it’s one and0 [Applause] that’s hard hit on the line seda makes the play and there’s two away here’s the left fielder Marcel Ozuna marcel Ozuna [Applause] in there for strike one [Applause] in there at the knees no ball two strikes [Applause] [Applause] cuts and misses it’s a strikeout one hit one left to the bottom of the ninth we go top of the order do up it’s the Braves five and the Marlins nothing back now as they hand the ball to a fresh arm to start the bottom of the ninth jose Ruiz and you know bullpen guys can struggle sometimes when they’re called upon with big leads because it just doesn’t have the same intensity as a tight game so we’ll see how sharp he is mental toughness matters in situations like this as well so back to the top of the order now at the plate xavier Edwards 0 for three with two strikeouts and a ground out missed inside with the curb [Applause] bunting and it’s in the air murphy throws to first in time just got him on that one perhaps he rushed just a little bit didn’t set the angle as the infield was back right there and that’s pretty much a gimme for a blunt base hit just didn’t quite put it where he wanted to right there [Applause] swing and a ground ball out to short throw on to Olsen and the Marlins with just one out left the batter number six shortstop Otto Lopez so two down now and here is Otto Lopez [Applause] right back to him on the mound on first ball game and the Braves use three pitchers to combine for the shut out sometimes it takes just getting away from home players can sort of come together connect a little bit more than they do when they’re at home with their families and that can breed to success on the field as we saw in this game today excellent win by this team 5 nothing the final in this one for Chris Singleton and our entire crew i’m John Shami saying so long what the move
