what’s going on everyone chris from pickdogs.com here with your free pick in the Los Angeles Dodgers versus Washington Nationals major League Baseball matchup going down Friday June 20th 2025 just a reminder if you haven’t already make sure you subscribe to our channel and smash that thumbs up and if you’re looking for my best bets games that I love head to pickdogs.com click the premium picks tab at the top of the page it’s a great time to do so we’ve got some MLB action on the board for this weekend as well as some WNBA action too so make sure that you jump on board remember to use the promo code pick at checkout and get 15% off your purchase we’re also on the hunt for 250,000 subscribers here on our YouTube channel i appreciate each and every one of you that’s helped us get to where we are today but if you haven’t already hit that subscribe button by now please do so it’ll help us reach that milestone and we’ve also got products for those who make big bets and for those with big bank rolls those looking for more of a VIP experience where you’re going to get things like late alert plays closer to game time where we’re going to track line movement for you try to get you the best possible number compared to the closing line so if that sounds like something that you’re interested in text the number on the screen for more information and let’s find out if it’s right for you but let’s get to this one between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Washington Nationals for the Los Angeles Dodgers it’s Clayton Kershaw listed as the starter in this one the the Washington Nationals have McKenzie Gore listed as the starter in this game going to be a great pitching matchup here at Lefty Lefty Battle and you know the thing about the the uh the Los Angeles Dodgers sending out Kershaw here is that Kershaw the pitcher that I was worried was going to start to really show his age and so far the only place where Kershaw has really shown his age so far this year has been in his pitch counts i mean he’s been a guy that normally goes 81 82 pitches but last time out against the San Francisco Giants those 81 pitches were enough to go seven innings of three hit shutout ball and was able to hold hold down the win for the uh the uh the Dodgers in that one my concern for the Dodgers was that the bullpen kind of let it get a little bit uh not dicey but they let it you know they let some damage occur they won that game 11 to five despite Kershaw leaving the game after seven full shutout innings and um I said it was just not a good look for uh for the Dodgers bullpen there but I think Kershaw could do decent enough damage here to be able to hold it down for the uh the Dodgers in this one he faces a Nationals lineup that in the last two weeks against left-handed pitching has an 18.6% strikeout rate their batting average is around the league average the team OPS numbers are below league average as are the isolated power numbers so I think that the Nationals could be held in check here and realistically the Nationals entering Thursday’s action have been dreadful um 10 straight losses now McKenzie Gore has been a bright spot for this rotation he’s gone he’s had quality starts in five straight outings but the thing is is that as a team the Washington Nationals have gone just two and three in those five starts a lot of it because they don’t give they haven’t been able to give Gore much run support despite a 1.45 erra from McKenzie Gore in those outings he’s gotten one run of support or less twice in that five start stretch and he also has to contend with a bullpen that over the last seven days has a 6.59 ERA that’s just outside the five highest in baseball over the last two weeks they’ve given up 10 home runs which is a league high over that that seven day stretch which is a problem especially against this Dodger this Dodger lineup that is still very potent and the Dodgers in the last two weeks against lefties you know still very solid in terms of batting average you know they’re top five in baseball and batting average their team OPS numbers are top 10 their Babip is is top five so I think they’ll be able to get to Mackenzie Gore for just enough here and be able to do enough damage off of this Nationals bullpen to be able to get themselves a win on the run line here i’m going to go with the Dodgers on the run line in this game and that’s going to be my free pick but just a reminder if you haven’t already make sure you subscribe to our channel and smash that thumbs up and if you’re looking for my best bets you can find those at Pick Dogs Premium while you’re pick Dogs check out our betting tools they’re 100% free they’re the best betting tools in the business and tools that you want to make sure that you have in your back pocket when you’re making your best bets for the day’s action thanks for watching see you guys
