Did Cam Ward Throw a Practice Interception on Purpose? My Theory
would Titans quarterback Cam Ward really throw an interception deliberately during practice did he do that is he that insane of a competitor or am I the insane one for suggesting it look I know it sounds crazy but I have a theory and I’ve got evidence welcome to the Music into why I think Ward might have actually sabotaged a practice rep in his first NFL mini camp if you don’t believe me if you think I’m crazy at least hear me out and if you still don’t believe me after I present my case let me hear it in the comments let’s just start with some context during the Titans final mini camp practice last week Cam Ward threw an interception in a seven-on seven drill it was a bad pick across his body back to the other side of the field straight to linebacker Cody Barton now normally I would say this isn’t worth dissecting okay practice interceptions happen all the time and the Titans coaching staff has even encouraged the quarterbacks to try stuff in these periods to see what they can get away with and how far they can push the envelope but I don’t think Cam Ward was just trying stuff with this one i think he may have intentionally thrown that ball to Cody Barton let’s connect some dots here’s my evidence point number one we know Cam Ward is an insane psycho level competitor we don’t have to look far for evidence of this everyone has said it in fact just last week Calvin Ridley posted a video on his Instagram story of a broken pingpong paddle in the Titans locker room hey take your ass on you got money get your fat ass i got him breaking it that’s my belly bro i got him breaking it i ain’t even get in the shower ward broke a paddle because he lost a game of pingpong this guy hates to lose so why would someone this competitive intentionally throw an interception during practice well let’s get to point number two you may have heard about the internal offseason competition the Titans are running this year brian Callahan split the roster into eight teams all competing against each other with points awarded for various achievements including big plays during practice like interceptions and the competition was extremely tight heading into the final day of mini camp i think we got three teams maybe a fourth team sort of in the running on this last day two teams are only separated by a point here and on with one one to play so it should be pretty competitive that sets the stage for point number three on the play in question Ward had no one to throw to after buying time and rolling out of the pocket he extended the play but nobody was open in fact no receiver was even in the area which makes it a little more suspicious now I wasn’t at practice to observe this for myself but Paul Kaharski was and he couldn’t fathom a reason why Ward would throw it where he did take a listen to him describing this play on the latest Paul Kaharski podcast he had a lot of time he rolled out and he threw back across his body the inadvisable throw that every fan knows you shouldn’t make every quarterback knows you shouldn’t make every receiver knows you shouldn’t make every defender hopes that a quarterback makes there was no receiver in the area in the middle of the end zone except that Cody Barton was standing there waiting for the throw and caught it very easily for an interception it was a deathly play and check out all of PK’s great work at paulkaharski.com okay right none of this explains why he would throw an interception on purpose let’s get to point number four ward himself completely wrote off the interception saying it didn’t even count as a turnover the first one 707 I’ll count that it’s not real football that’s how he talked about this interception after practice but it wasn’t the only interception he threw that day take a listen to how he describes the second interception the second one I should have side armed it i don’t know why I did some generic stuff sounds like that one counts a lot more and not just because it was a team period is it because the first one was thrown on purpose is that why he doesn’t count the first one in fact later in this same media session he brought up the second interception again not even thinking about the first one i’ll be in the house and I’ll just think about a play a bad play i’ll probably be in the shower think about the pick and so and that’s not all that he said on the matter it turns out Cody Barton who intercepted the pass is on Ward’s offseason competition team i’m glad I throw it to Cody to have six points for my team all right you may see where I’m going with this whole thing but bear with me cuz I have more evidence to give maybe you don’t believe Ward would care that much about the offseason competition i mean it’s meaningless right we don’t even know what they’re competing for however according to Brian Callahan the players are actually taking this competition very seriously and they’re being extremely competitive about it i’m really happy with how the program went and again I think you can you can ask the players how they felt about it but I think it kept our competitiveness high all right let’s put it all together the Titans are deep in the throws of an offseason competition and there is no competition that Ward is okay with losing the guy broke a paddle because he lost a locker room game of pingpong okay Cam Ward probably values winning the offseason competition more than winning one rep in a practice period that he describes as not real football 707 i’ll count that it’s not real football the player who got the interception is on Ward’s offseason competition team have six points for my team and the play itself before throwing the pick it was pretty much a dead play no receivers open no other comprehensible reason why Ward would make that throw he could have easily just dumped it out of bounds and I know what you’re going to say this is what Ward’s interceptions looked like on his college tape he had a bad habit of sometimes throwing the ball across his body to the other side of the field yes but in those instances Ward had receivers in the area even when he didn’t get the ball to them there was at least somebody he was targeting he just overestimated his ability to get it there paul Karski said there was no receiver in the area there was no receiver in the area and also this is a red zone drill they’re not that deep it’s not like he couldn’t get the ball far enough downfield no no no he wasn’t throwing the ball to a receiver he was throwing it to Cody Barton because this was a very tight offseason competition at stake one that the players were taking very seriously so isn’t it possible at least possible that Cam Ward the ultimate competitor who hates losing I got him breaking it simply decided to give his team six points to try to win an offseason competition you have six points for my team some of you might also be wondering if you’ve really been paying attention this off season would Cam Ward’s team get points for this cuz Brian Callahan did say a few weeks ago if a player throws an interception to another player on his own team that those points would cancel out well Brian Callahan also said before this last practice that they’ve done a lot of tweaking to the point system to make it more fair for different positions so it’s not impossible to think that getting an interception is actually worth a lot more now than it used to be and Cam Ward even said you have six points for my team now I’m not saying this is true okay this is just a theory but the pieces kind of fit together and if it is true that means Cam Ward is an extreme psycho level competitor he’s willing to go as far as throwing a practice rep to win an offseason competition now if this is true and I’m Brian Callahan I kind of love it i wouldn’t tell him I love it in fact I’d tell him never do that again take every rep seriously but behind closed doors I kind of love it my quarterback is a psycho level competitor who will do whatever it takes to win and guess what Titans fans that’s how Cam Ward’s going to play on the field too doing whatever it takes to win as the quarterback of the Titans so there it is that’s my theory ward cares so much about winning a meaningless offseason competition he’s willing to throw an interception on purpose during practice time i know it’s a stretch but like I said the pieces fit anyway I’m not saying Ward definitely threw an intentional interception i’m just saying isn’t it possible am I crazy or do you think I might be on to something here it’s Ward’s competitive nature the context of the offseason competition his own dismissive attitude towards seven which he said was not real football it all points to this possibility but what do you think drop your thoughts in the comments below is Cam Ward so insanely competitive enough that he would sabotage a practice rep just for a chance to win this offseason competition or am I reading too much into it thanks for watching everyone if
Breaking down a WILD theory that Cam Ward might have intentionally thrown a practice interception last week, and why he would have done so…

Timing of this is funny after PK did a mini tirade against out of state Titans media people
This video is completely ridiculous and I love it! Also, I think your theory is not only plausible but is likely correct.
top tier tinfoil 😂
He definitely threw an INT on purpose. Go watch the Cal postgame interview.
Playing ping pong in a towel is nasty work😂
👏🏿 👏🏿 👏🏿 👏🏿 👏🏿 👏🏿 . I kinda had the same thought. Lol
I def think he did it on purpose 😂
Stretch, or not, you made enough of a case for me to take it as a complete fact. 😂
This is Sherlock level investigation. Great work man!
Great content! Following ! BUT this is major Glazing. Mariota was just as competitive and we all know how that went.
Lol yea Cam's super competitive but he wouldn't like a cheap win like that
Come on guys havent you heard completion percentage in OTA's is the end all be all proof that someones hall of fame bound. Shedeur sanders went 13 of 13 and suddenly people are fitting him for the Hall. Hell I even read some idiot saying Shedeurs OTA already had the Titans regretting not taking him lol. It's gotten ridiculous how much the national media focuses on a 5th round pick Shedeur while at the same time ignoring and disrespecting Ward. As seen in their schedule where they weren't given a single prime time game. This is very unusual. Hell Bryce Young and the Panthers got 2 prime time games.
My dude!
be back in the states tomorrow. Titan Uuuuup
Love it! Yall are quickly becoming my favorite titans channel!
🔥 TITANUP ⚔️
Wheres Melo. Wtf
I thought you were crazy. Now I believe in this theory 100%
Cam literally said your right thats crazy man, this guy is making me think we are going to have a good season, Titan up.
Good video man! Cam has me excited for Titan football again!
You’re absolutely correct
Cheats to win!
I normally don't comment but this makes the second video you have made that I really enjoy. I appreciate your perspective.
I love this theory, good work Graver!
Totally plausible, when the video started I was like “only reason I would believe this, is if Cody was his teammate” that was a td in Cam’s eyes
I don't believe that in any way. Not going to sweat it now. The regular season will tell the tale.
I could see him doing this. Especially after him mentioning the six points for his team.
LOVE the theory 😂😂😂 I thought you were crazy crazy, but I see the vision 😂. My only thing is do we know for a fact they’re on the same team? When I heard the “6 for my team” I assumed he jokingly meant Cody Barton is a Titan so we would have gotten 6 lol
Justin buddy, I hope, for your mental health, Titans have a good season 😭
I really do hope Cam Ward is that nuts! If he is, the season could be very exciting, and possible a breath of fresh air from last year.
This is insane and I love it
I can't wait for the "Did Cam Ward Throw 3 interceptions to Derek Stingley Jr on Purpose? My Theory" video
The titans helmet is spinning with the force of Justin's titans fanaticism. Great vid gracedigger!
