Reds vs. Cardinals Game Highlights (6/20/25) | MLB Highlights
big series on hand here for the Reds they are right in the thick of a challenging portion of their schedule this is a huge opportunity playing one of the teams in front of them in the division this Cardinal club though just played its baseball high sixth double header and several of their best bouts are out andre Palante looks for his sixth career win against the Reds and his fifth win of the season freda leads it off there’s a little pop toward third easy play for Nolan Gorman soft contact benefits Palante a one down it brings up Gavin Lux as a swing and a miss lux is down on strikes palante struck out seven Brewers in his last outing he’s got his first in the first tonight ellie de la Cruz ground ball too short in between hop bas’s got it they no time and Burley digs it out cruz and the Reds are out in the first and the Cardinals are coming up randy Singer here today he’s got to manage the one and three hole hitters they are the best hitters in this lineup and that is Donovan and Berles donovan third in the league in hitting he is grounded to first spencer Steer plays a fine for his base one away and Alec Berles’s next that script to right center that’s the gap power you’re talking about all the way to the wall berles up to second base a standing double and Berles is he is a strong fella and you could see him reach out there and kind of hook that pitch that was away it wasn’t a it wasn’t a bomber swing it was just I’m going to get the barrel to the ball and make some contact and he just hooks it so here’s one of those men in scoring position situations it’s Nolan Gorman swinging a miss for Seamer up and away strike three singer works around the two out double we go to the second no score reds and Cardinals with Ivon Herrera injured the Cardinals have a hot hitter coming up from the minor leagues just hit for average got a home run driven in seven that one right off the foot of Singer it pops toward the plate he has no play and Si’s back with an infield hit second hit for the Cardinals first leadoff hit in the game so JC gets himself a slider in the other batters box and he just somehow someway is able to get some wood on it bah has 22 RBI’s swinging a miss got a fast ball by him down on strikes pedro Pahz bottom three it’s going to be Victor Scott for the Cardinals we have no score and he is hit by a pitch my goodness the Cardinals have been hit by more pitches that’s the seventh time that Victor Scott has been hit and the Cardinals are getting hit seems like every game brenda Donovan makes good contact he goes on the first move pitch a strike throw to second way high and Victor holds the bag that was quick he’s in scoring position nobody out victor Scott showing off some of those acting skills and the speed a little ouch ouch my toe sorry I’m going first pitch knew that was coming ground ball right to short dela Cruz going to third and Victor’s going to be out on the play so Victor Scott makes the first out at third base well heads up play right there by Ellie de la Cruz this one here just got to know exactly where your defender is he was standing right behind him that was an easy play even with the speed of Vic mason win grounded out his first time that one lined into the left field corner donnie got a late start around second on his way to third benson tracks it down and they’ll be at second and third with one out it’s a double for Mason Win his 13th of the year oh Mason it was a slow road trip for him but a nice start here this is a slider it’s down it’s middle and he drops the head on it and drives it down the line good swing so Berles the hottest Cardinal hitter a chance for a crooked number here adds to center fredel retreats that’ll be deep enough to score a run both runners will tag scoring is Donovan berles’s 27th RBI gives the Cardinals the lead only Show Otani has scored more runs in the National League than Ellie De Cruz grounded double play ball to second donovan feet to win fire not in time david Cruz beats it out and Cowboy that’s a great sign there was a stretch where he was battling some lower half issues a couple of weeks ago i don’t know that he beats that out he does today well that’s a great combination of talent of young shorts stops mason win spectacular arm palante has got to work much harder mentally with runners on base than he does with nobody on board more got him what a pickoff pas got Ellie Delock Cruz and a perfect tag by Berles this right here Jim a thing of beauty it’s a fast ball up pes comes up throwing on the money that was perfect nice snap tag a Palante to work in the top of the sixth inning one- nothing St louis has the lead matt Mlan the second baseman gets it started that one was caught by Pas mlan down on strikes palante with his third punch out here’s Lux he’s playing third base tonight two outs swing and a miss lux just drops the bat throws the helmet down and starts walking out to the field nolan Gorman is struck out he is walked strike three punched him out of the sinker high and tight hardest hit ball of the game the double by Lars Nars last time he has also struck out there it is strike three he’s got six innings one run seventh strike out for Brady Singer one run allowed seven punch outs over six innings da Cruz has grounded to short he’s reached on Fielder’s choice and been picked off grounded with eyes and links through base hit da Cruz a wide birth reds have their lead off man on not always how you hit it but where you hit it this ball cuts right in on the hands of Dea Cruz he hit that one off the label but he hit it in a perfect spot thank you very much cruz aboard tyler Stevenson next big crowd at Bush salutes Andre Palante and the Cardinals who lead by a run another quality start for Brady Singer who is on the hook scott Barlo enters well without Ashcraft in the bullpen Barlo is the one that will step up into those duties 3-2 pitch ball four pes is aboard with one out and he got hit again that’s twice victor Scott’s one-1 on the foot and a bad miss walk hit batsman walk the Cardinals have loaded the bases without a hit so it’s there for the taking for Mason Win little flare into center base hit one run scores victor will stop at third mason Win proves me right two strike hit to extend the lead after fighting off the sweeper it’s the sinker that he’s able to get the hands to just dumps it into center and drives in a much needed insurance run the Cardinals still not done yet so another lefty Nolan Gorman is next and the 3-2 pitch it missed outside a basis loaded walk the Red’s bullpen has hit a batter they’ve walked three and they’ve given up two runs to make it a three nothing game infield hit for Sajius first time strike out and fly out the rest of the night little chopper hit to the left side and the peg the first low thrown rock one run is in here comes win he will score standing up and the red skip rep two more Cardinal runs chip right on Q you talked about the defenders being out there on their heels been waiting around for a long time you put the ball in play you put a little pressure on them to make a play lux over at third base gets the chopper on one hop he’s got all day tries to run and gun though and just can’t make a good throw just amazing isn’t it as Lars Nar’s the ninth man to hit in the inning long left center field a base hit gorman scores nbar goes the other way boy is that a good sign no you hit the nail on the head that is a great sign right there for Lars Newar a slider from Sion this thing spinning up near center cut a little bit more insurance the line drive the other way for New Terry Francona goes to his bench he pinch hits Santiago Espenol for Will Benson one two sets to center field long run for Scott he can’t get there lead off hit for Espenol trovino has flyed to left he is walked opposite way that’s a fair ball that curls corner stops out at third for Espanol that’s a team leading careerhigh 16th double and the Cardinals block the throw in and Espanol takes off and scores that was a failure there getting the ball in from right field espanol had fully stopped at third base and the shut out is silenced it’s now 6-1 riley O’Brien with right-handers coming up next tries to wrap it up with the Red Birds ahead by five swing and a miss riley O’Brien was terrific so was the Cardinal pitching staff man on a night when they needed a great start and some timely offense that’s exactly what they got to start this home stand in a great way

MLB announcers: "punchouts" has become so common it's time to go back to simple "strikeouts."
Keep em coming fellas
Winner winner chicken dinner baby! Let’s keep it going Cards and win this series tomorrow.
Yes it’s exciting to win games but let’s wait for the cub series before we start yelling
If we can take 2 out 3 against cubs that will be huge cubs would count as great team and I’d in wanna hear any excuses from cub fans cause it’s annoying and delusional
Great game! We heating up at the right time
Love when Gorman gets reps at 3rd

4️⃣ game winning streak 😀😀😀😀
Great to see A big crowd and some fun baseball. No matter how this year ends up the future is extremely bright. Plenty of strong young pieces on this roster and Wetherholt, Bernal, Church, Baez, Matthews, Hence, and Henderson all look FANTASTIC. 5th pick coming up. The next 5-7 years are going to be fun.
Make that 4 in a row! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
This is an important stretch for the cards.
I love me some warm biscuits !!!!!
Should've been a 1-0 game to Cardinals regardless, but the Reds, as always against the Cards, can't get out of their own way and throw away any chance they may have had
Oh, here we go again, lol! They kept saying the Reds had this division this year & yet the Cardinals are their cryptonite! I believe the Cardinals could lose 100 games & have just 49-50 wins & 20 of them would be against the Reds! I hope the other players will start to play with the same enthusiasm & efforts as DelaCruz! Well, to be fair Español plaid well, but they need to get the bats going!
Those Cardinals "city" uniforms look like shvt. The Cardinals are a great franchise, with great tradition, no need to gimmick it up.
Saggese with the Matt Carpenter vibes 👀
Your welcome lol…we gave you that game and wasted Brady's pitching. Thats the reds this year.
Jordan walker made 2 outs in the bottom of the 7th. We need to move on
Woo Go Cards!!!!
the MLB app has been pretty inconsistent with my updates, i saw it was 1-0 Cards then later saw 6-1 and thought "No way the Reds came back." but i looked closer and saw "The Reds still trail the Cardinals 6-1"
gave myself a heart attack, big win
It was The Deds that showed up tonight. Hopefully, we get The Reds back tomorrow
That pitch hit the dirt not the player that's is cheating
Cardinals are at it again cheating
Cards just 4and half games back of cubs 🤷🙅🙆
It think they should trade Jorden Walker
i like it when the cards hit, but that wavy thing they do upon reaching base? Maybe should be reserved for really big, game changing hits–looks little league (I know I'll get roasted for this).
yesssir go cardnals lets go
