The 1970s Expansion class seems to be cursed. Both have had just terrible management and luck for many, many years. Both with no cups and not much hope for the future at the moment 🙁

What is with these zoomed in highlights across all sports? It’s absolutely infuriating. I’d like to see the whole play not just the guy with the puck/ball.
Like, you can’t even see the goalies on these goals.
…That and the 2006 Cup — or at least a trip to the finals.
It was the Caroline Hurricanes vs. The Buffalo Sabres except with Rochester Americans’ (their AHL affiliate) defense and minus the NHL’s top PP point scorer through 2 playoff rounds — who they lost to a dirty east-west hit which, in true Buffalo fashion, was not being super punished at the time but quickly became a big penalty and routine suspension right after.
Yeah, every team plays hurt in the playoffs, but that year always stands out due to the sheer number of guys taken out, and impact players at that. That huge pile of injuries and yet it still took the Canes until the last minute of a Game 7 to lock that series up. I’ll never not wonder “What If…”
