Nationals vs. Dodgers Game Highlights (6/22/25) | MLB Highlights

Tony Bump Day, the second one we’ve seen with him in Dodger Blue and he’s, it’s not just a novelty thing. It’s a rubber game of this three game set. They got to win this series, certainly important for this series, but obviously more important just to see how Showe goes out and establish himself in that first inning and Then heading out to the mound to you , think he’s excited to go for a second start. I think he surprised some of his teammates as he exited the dugout quite clear of the rest of the Dodgers in the field. Like, ok, I guess we’re going out his first pitch to CJ. Abrams is grounded to the right side, stopped by freddie one pitch, one out in the 2 to 2 park and straight up on the infield bat’s coming in from shore it in and out of the glove of bets. That ball was in the air a long time. The high sky in James Wood is safe. Yes, he did. And there’s the first Dodgers strikeout for shohei skips away from the catcher going to second James Wood. He’s gonna slam on the brakes there. Thought about advancing to third but with two down heading into scoring position, the most important thing stretch in the 22 swing and a miss strike, three cutter struck him out to strikes out too and he leaves wood at second base. Michael Soroka. 27 years of age, last time out, six innings against the Rockies got the loss just like last week against San Diego to finish in on the mound. Did not go back in the dugout, just stayed on the warning track and made a U turn swing and a foul tip held by Kart Ruiz on an elevated fastball above the zone at 94 miles an hour and Otani has struck out swing and a Miss Michael Soroka struts off the mound. Strikeouts of Otani and freeman in a 123. 1st, Kris will follow was the third pitcher the Dodgers use in Otan season debut last week. Be a lazy fly ball out to left center. This one might be trouble coming in his condo and he can’t get there twice today. So Betts couldn’t handle a flyball in the sun. Went for an E six. Now this one which was in the air for what felt like minutes. Find some outfield turf for josh Bell ahead of a moment too, pushed in the air to right field , Andy Po runs it down and Then Josh Bell off first the throw from Paus over the head of Freddie Freeman. Good work by rushing to back him up. I’m sure what Josh Bell was thinking on that read, I’m not sure what. And he was thinking either. I mean, you know, you get it, you’re freddie right there, you make the effort right there. But that’s a situation where, you know, you’re running in your flat footed the runner at first pitch and a ground ball right back to Casparus. He’ll walk it over to first underhand toss to free, he’ll step on the bag and that will do it. He works around the leadoff base hit back to back two out base runners for the Nats here in the third. Here’s Nathaniel Lowe with two on and two out Lowe squares. One up to deep, left center back is kim at the wall. It’s in play, two runs will score for the Nats. It barely stays in the yard. It goes down as a two run double for Nathaniel Lowe having a huge last two days man with the biceps right there was trying to catch it as well. May have even thrown it back in and they may say that that’s a home run is over home run. It took him a while but they got the call right. And Nathaniel Lowe has his 13th home run of the season, his third in the last two games and it’s three nothing that he finishes off a little bash right there with josh Bell Taung Kim 26 year old from South Korea facing Michael Soroka three nationals and Michael Soroka blows him away on three pitches. So rushing is a board coming up swing and a miss on a ball in the dirt. Soroka strikes him out. That is strikeout number five to end the inning. Michael has not yet surrendered a hit. Here’s the pitch swing and a miss he struck him out on a change up off the outside. So Freeman has not looked himself in this series zero for six with four strikeouts and not playing in the first game. And another strikeout for Max Munsey, Michael Soroka punches out two more in the fourth inning. He’s got seven has not surrendered a hit and the NATS are up three nothing. Michael Soroka is on some kind of strikeout groove over his last couple of starts tied a career high with nine of them in his last outing. He’s got seven through four innings so far here today. Great curveball there by Soroka totally locked up, Andy Pas. He’s got a rotation type stuff, the top of the rotation type stuff. Four straight strikeouts for Michael Soroka. Here is he on Kim who struck out swinging in the third, swung on. This one is lifted to left center and fairly deep heading back to the wall. It is going to be off the warning track and off the wall in the first hit for the Dodgers. Today comes with two outs in the fifth. Now the pitch swing and a Miss blows it by him with a fastball for strike three, a new career high in strikeouts for Michael Soroka rushing at third Otani at second Freeman at first, Dodgers have the tying run on and the go ahead run at the plate. Fly ball. Lucky center on the warning track at the wall and Max Munsey 200 Roger, I’ve been waiting to do it this home stand do it much. Gets that sinker up in the zone. Came back with it after he threw it 21. The bases are loaded once again. Shoe Otani swinging a hard ground ball fair on the first base line in the score is kim Conforto right behind him. Here comes Dalton rushing around second and on his way to third with a bases clearing. Triple is so and the Dodgers lead it 7 to 3 and bets with a be sitting there. The Dodgers have broken through the last couple of innings again. Still nobody out here in the Dodgers seventh won’t see his 10th of the year last inning. He swings. It’s a drive tape right center way back. It does. He’s done it again. Max Munsey with a home run, a three run shot and the Dodgers have opened this game wide. It is now 11 to 3 Munsey with seven RBIs today. Well, that’s something back to back, advance a grand slam and a three run shot on top of it. Otani is up one out, one on Otani launches left center field this ball at the wall. Did that go off of a fan? It’s in play. Rushing is racing around from first to score is looking out there. Not sure exactly what happened at the wall. Oh, no, that’s a fan overturned. It is a home run. Second crew chief review to confirm a home run at the wall in left field. A starting pitcher has a AAA home run and five RBIs. The Dodgers up by 10 in the ninth. It’s #### hernandez. Time Aces are now loaded with nobody out. Garcia ready for the fast one at 79 and he’ll bring in Jacob Young low, a fly ball to the deep left Conforto back at the wall. He makes the play. CJ Abrams will tag and score. Nathaniel Lowe picks up another RB I his fourth of the day throws 30 pitches just 10 strikes one out. So Alex Vesci will try and finish the job. Brady House swings at the first one and skies it down the right field line pa circles behind it tagging is call, throw to the plate. Not in time. Call goes sliding in the Dalton rushing who checks on him and a sack fly from Brady House makes it 13 to 6. Rosario busted that single up the middle. That’ll bring in another Garcia trot home and the Nats now four runs in the ninth inning to make it 13 to 7 check swing grounded to Freddie smothers it on a hop and he will win the foot trot to the bag and that’s a win for L A 13 to 7. They beat the Nationals erupt in the late innings. EK and they clinch the series to end the home stand.

  1. That fan that missed that homer needs to take a shower with his glove and wrap a ball in it for a few days. That pocket had o hinge reaction to pocket that ball. Just a little trick i learned from Steve Garvey in the 70s. Best way to break in a new glove and create a hinged pocket.

  2. Even thought the dodgers won, it was a mistake letting Hernandez pitch. He did terrible pitching the only thing he did was give points to the Nationals, no offense

  3. Ohtani is tooo inconsistent, he strikes out more than he HITS, AND HE CHASES A LOTTA BAD PITCHES, FRM ALL THE MONEY HES GETTN PAID, THIS SHLD BE TH OPPOSITE, LIKE WHEN HE PLAYED FOR THE ANGELS, NOW WHEN HE CMS UP TO BAT, UR KINDA SURPRISED THAT HE GETS A HIT KZ HE SEEMS TO STRIKE OUT A LOT, THERE, I SAID "OUT LOUD"WHAT EVERYBODYS BN THINKNG

  4. With all the $$$$$$$$ spent, is this really the best team $$$$$$$$$$ can buy. The fielding is, even more bush league, than the NYYs in the World Series. 🤪🤡 snoozzzzzzz!!!!!!

  5. Kim Hye-seong doesn’t belong in the majors. Putting him in center field is a huge liability. He makes way too many mistakes — he runs toward the ball but doesn’t catch it, just getting in his teammates’ way. Remember when Yamamoto had to step on first base himself?

  6. The starting pitcher has a triple, a home run and 5 RBI’s. Once the Dodgers get Snell and Glasnow back, the Dodgers can finally start ruining baseball…🦄
