Why do the Celtics always get picks out of these trades. This fixes a need they had and they got compensated for it.

It’s hard to believe Simons fell off that bad. He averaged 23/4/6 on 43/39/93 shooting splits in 2024.
Blazers threw in two 2RP’s to make this happen.
I think Celtics got a steal. I wasn’t even sure that Jrue was a positive asset. He’s making $35m/per for next 3 seasons. He will be 37 years old in final year of deal.
Celtics got under the 2nd apron and it didn’t even hurt them that much. FFS!
Bucks are at such a disadvantage when it comes to coaching and the FO smh.

A washed Jrue with a terrible contract for an expiring with picks? How?
If Portland didn’t have a decent young core, this would be a fireable offense. Traded Dame, Simmons and 2 2RPs for Jrue Holiday and a few 1st round swaps.
No idea how Stevens had them convinced they deserve draft capital back for giving up Jrue. Unreal.
