Hopefully a packed house tonight. Saw highlights last night and I am hoping because of the heat was smallish crowd
Hot take: the Cubs aren’t that good.
Why? Their schedule recently has been dog poo.
Since May 2nd, their best series win was May 2-4 winning 2/3 from the Brewers.
After that, they’ve failed to win a series against a good team.
1-2 against SF
1-2 against Mets
1-2 against DET
1-2 against PHI
1-2 against SEA
Meanwhile they’ve had loads of games against legitimately awful teams:
21 game stretch of the Marlins, White Sox, Marlins, Reds, Rockies, Reds, and Nationals.
The only series they’ve won against a team above .500 since May 4th was twice against the Reds (4-2 combined).
I’m not sold on them yet.
