How Lamar Jackson Is Building More Team Chemistry | Baltimore Ravens Final Drive

[Music] [Applause] as the Ravens gear up for what they hope will be a Super Bowl run in 2025 quarterback Lamar Jackson is setting the tone both on and off the field one of the biggest takeaways from offseason conversations with Jackson and wide receiver Z Flowers is a renewed emphasis on building team chemistry outside the lines we know we we know we where we supposed to be and where we supposed to end up at at the end of the year so it’s really on us and we we we talk to ourselves we talked to like L come in and talk to us about meeting after like this year he want to do a lot more meeting me and he want to do a lot more team stuff he want to do a lot more personal stuff with us just to get that that team camaraderie um on a good level that initiative from Lamar isn’t just talk in May Jackson and Flowers were seen working out together in South Florida before OTAAS even began that kind of extra effort during downtime has become a hallmark of Jackson’s leadership especially during the summer break when players are free to train on their own in previous years Jackson has gathered receivers in Florida for workouts a trend that could continue this off season especially now with a group that includes Zay Flowers Rashad Baitman and DeAndre Hopkins just I I feel like just bonding bonding with my guys help us out a lot more you know just on the field just picking each other brain being around each other a lot more we’ll probably know what what one of us is thinking ahead you know like we on the field something going on he already know what I’m thinking i don’t got to say too much you know look over there I got dehop now bait these guys you know they know what I’m thinking without me saying too much and that’s going off the field you know so that’s why I want to get my guys together just things like that small things like that it’s no secret that the tightest teams the ones that train together go to work together and trust each other on and off the field are the ones who compete in late January and early February and Lamar Jackson understands that and based on what we saw during OTAAS and even mandatory camp the culture around the Ravens locker room just feels increasingly unified heading into training camp and that’s not by accident jackson’s evolution as a vocal leader and off-field connector may prove to be one of the most impactful storylines of this season for a team like the Ravens with championship aspirations it’s not just about what you do between the whistles it’s about the bonds you build in between and Lamar is making sure those bonds are unbreakable that’s it for me today we’ll see you back here tomorrow [Music] [Music]
