Winn streaking home from 2nd on a sac fly almost perfectly mirrors Ozzie doing the same thing in the ‘82 Series.

A World Series day game. I forgot about this happening
Surreal to see a World Series game being played during the day and in my lifetime! If I’m not mistaken G6 of the 1987 WS (boooo!) was THE last daytime World Series game played. I wish they’d bring it back.
That’s pretty crazy.
It’s neat seeing clips like this of the ‘82 series pop up every now and again. Knowing my cousin (way before my time) was playing right there. Not featured in this clip but he was the Cardinals catcher and awarded MVP that series. I never got to meet him, he passed away when I was young. My aunt n uncle (his parents) flew out to visit a few years after. His dad wore a Kansas City hat 🤣
Winn would be pleased by this. Ozzie Smith, if I understand right, is his favorite baseball player. It’s why he chose number 0 on his jersey.

Awesome, thanks for sharing!
[Harrison Bader did something similar a few years ago.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8BvLLz277CA&pp=ygUeSGFycmlzb24gYmFkZXIgc2NvcmVzIGZyb20gMm5k)
I’d forgotten that was a 2 RBI sac fly! That’s rare.
The main difference between this and last night’s play is that Gorman Thomas actually knew how many outs there were, PCA just had a brain fart.
I’ve seen enough, Winn is the next Ozzie Smith.
Well, not exactly. This center fielder knew how many outs there were at least.
Love this! I watched Winn score last night, and my dad said he remembered Ozzie doing the same thing in ‘82. So cool to see the video!
