that he just couldn’t handle it y maybe you worry about that guy in the playoffs but he does have a history of being decent in the postseason i know it was a bubble year so a bit different but again   1. Jg Pageau would be a perfect fit on the Oilers, right handed centre who is very good at faceoffs and kills penalties. If they can get the islanders to retain a little he would make our center depth elite

  6. Find a play that causes the panthers problems and put him on a line with j skinner. Don’t matter who we got in any position if we can’t counter their god damn forecheck board play and pressure

  13. Watch Edmonton trade Kane to Florida for a 5th and 6th round draft pick, so Kaner can play to his truest potential with Bennett and get away with it by the refs

  14. First off Oilers need to clear cap space and roster spots to make any outcome work. I'd start with trading Kane, Henrique, Nurse(Trouba got traded Nurse can too), Bouchard and Skinner( to St. Louis for Payako and Binnington plus something ) seems fair and trade Pickard somewhere too. Also, I'd like for them to get Kostin back.

    Then to Free Agency to try and get Husso, Ekblad, Provorov, Gavrikov or even Perbix(at least 2 of these D) and if you still have cap space, add Kuzmenko and Drouin for depth.

    Finally Oilers should look to the NCAA and USHL for more 'A quality' youth since they keep letting theirs go… I'd look to sign G Alexander Tracy and D Mac Gadowsky and a few others too.

  19. Don’t get all the Kane trade talk. Missed the whole year and still looked ok for first 3 rounds. Also only 1 year left, they can wait a few months and get rid of him next March

  21. This team reminds me of when the Canucks had Dan Cloutier. Everybody in the league knew we needed a goalie but our GM. Looking from the outside, what cost the oilers was several huge mistakes by defensemen and some bad moments by Skinner. If they had a couple more Ekholms instead of Nurse and Bouchard, then Skinner would be fine. If they're committed to staying with those two guys playing that many minutes then they need a Vesina goalie. Demko probably would have won you the cup this year but can he stay healthy? Who knows. I see Nurse as Tyler Myers with no discipline. I see Bouchard as another Mike Green. Dynamic, valuable players, but who's going to play defense?

  28. Alex Tuck, this is a a fantastic swap out for Kane, on a line with Draisaitl? Hearing Panthers Bennet/Ekblad & even Marchant want to stay in Florida, meaning they are willing to take a discount….. yet Drai did not take $12.5 over 8 years (you know 16,15,14,13, 12×2, 10×2. If Bouchard does not take same as Nurse & McD same as Drai current deal the Oilers will not be competitive…. teams win if they have support (or they have a superstar on the LTIR tkatchuk !)
