Trade Rumors INTENSIFYING… – WILD Rangers Trade Update | NYR News

trade rumors are continuing to intensify leaguewide and we have a wild one to go over today as multiple insiders have reported that a young star in the league will be traded by the end of the week and Chris Jury is involved in everything leaguewide according to multiple reports he has his hand in every single cookie jar we’re going to break down what this means for the New York Rangers heading into this week’s NHL entry draft and free agency next week in this episode of Rangers Digest but before we do that a quick reminder to hit that subscribe button about 74% of you who watch these videos are for all your daily New York Rangers content but like we’ve been talking about and even Brett’s touched on in a couple videos himself and some of the videos we’ve done together and live streams JJ Pra by all accounts he will be traded by the end of this week and it sounds like Chris Jury has his hand in not only that cookie jar but other cookie jars around the league we’ll touch on that in this video as well but let’s jump right into a couple rumors reports there’s a lot flying out there around the league right now and this is from Vince Marco and this was a couple days ago but this new quote is or this quote is new I should say and there’s new reports as early or as late as this morning uh coming out that you know this is going to happen he’s going to be traded this week and the Rangers are involved and you can see from Vince McKano excuse me i do believe the New York Rangers are one of many teams interested in JJ Purka that iron seems to be getting hotter by the day as well on there was another report that I don’t have here but apparently and I said it off the top Chris Sher’s hand is in every single cookie jar he’s in on everything was the quote chris is in on everything which is impossible but you know what they mean he’s in on a lot of things now I thought this was incredibly interesting this came out just an hour ago at the time of this recording and the Sabres could try to pry Will Coulie out of New York in return or even Braden Schneider but it’s hard to see the New York Rangers parting with either to me for the Buffalo Sabres to acquire JJ Purka giving up Will Culie makes no sense the only guy I would trade Will for is like Conor McDavid at this point which sounds ridiculous probably from the outside looking in if you’re not a Rangers fan but would be like Conor McDavid or maybe Jason Robertson at this point i wouldn’t trade Will for JJ Purka no chance and even Braden Schneider if you were to trade Braden Schneider in a trade that included JJ Purka Bo Byron has to be coming back the other way it has to be a way bigger trade than just a one for one or anything like that so Will Coulie being included in this is absolutely ridiculous will Coulie is going to be signed this week uh if that doesn’t get done my entire outlook on this team heading into next season like if he gets offer sheetated or something my entire outlook for next season of Chris Jury everything changes in that moment immediately that would be horrific but I think that it’s going to get done uh later this week and again to go on you can see that instead someone like Keandre Miller might be more plausible especially if the Sabres trade Bo Byron or buy out Matias Samson there’s a lot going on in Buffalo and I wanted to get into that because if you take a look at we’ll get into some of the specifics in a second some of the contract stuff uh and of course the Rangers have a lot of salary cap space right now but they still need to make a few signings but I did want to touch on this that you know if you take a look at the Buffalo Sabres lineup a lot of very interesting pieces right now byum looks like he’s on his way out powers there on the left side you got Delene over there samuelson making quite a bit of money they just signed him to a a massive contract extension just a little while ago sounds like Samson kind of wants out of Buffalo power’s not happy right now delen’s obviously the captain of that team but they got a lot going on in the left side there somebody’s on their way out and if you were to add Kandre Miller to that mix making $7 million I don’t know if that makes too much sense for them either unless there’s another piece involved uh both ways from the Sabres and the New York Rangers in this trade i would love a Ryan Mloud type on the New York Rangers as a third line center but I think the Rangers have already made their bet in terms of some of the depth and some of the moves that are going to be made and obviously I don’t think the Sabres want to give up Mloud because they have no center depth so that’s going to be very interesting to keep an eye on as well and you can see salary salary cap is going down by the day but here’s some interesting storylines going into this week and why I think that Keandre Miller uh is for like Kandre Miller is going to get traded right and you know what first round pick is Dre going to send to the Pens we’re going to find that out this week as well the Rangers are going to be trading Carson Susi this week if they don’t that is a disaster make no mistake about it that is not great that money needs to be moved out to sign Will and does Drury land Purka or a different big name and it could be Purka and again for Keandre Miller could make some sense it could absolutely make some sense if they’re moving off of a guy like Samuelson and of course Bo Byum who looks like he’s on his way out of Buffalo as well so it could make again like I keep saying some sense now the reason Keandre Miller is going to be traded because I see a lot out there about why would you trade Kandre Miller for the sake of trading him i don’t think you should trade him for the sake of just getting rid of him you have to upgrade in his absence you have either trade free agency whatever it is you have to upgrade in Keandre Miller’s absence but here is the reason it sounds like by numerous reports it is Frank Sarah Valley but there’s other reports as well that apparently going back to his time in Pittsburgh uh there were reports or you know somebody has some intel that Mike Sullivan was not a huge fan of Keandre Miller’s game not a huge fan of that player so again it looked like at the start of the off seasonason the Rangers might have resigned KAR Miller to maybe a bridge deal something with a lower AAV but at this point he is going to be traded he is not going to be on this team next year and it’s going to happen this week it’s happening this week carson Susi is gone this week keandre Miller is going to be traded this week everything has to get done before or at the draft essentially before free agency to free up the money necessarily necessary excuse me to go sign a Vladislav Gaov let’s say for example so there is going to be a lot of movement this week and then again if you make this trade think about this for a second you have JJ Purka here 68 points in 77 games and like listening might be included there’s been a lot of rumbling about that maybe not necessarily in this trade but maybe traded another trade this is from the same draft by the way a definite upgrade on Lafrenir he is 68 points in 77 games on a horrific Buffalo Sabres team and he’s projected as you can see here to make $7.3 million could be a little bit more maybe $7 million if you look at Kandre Miller he’s in the same boat $7 million right so would you rather have Kandre Miller for $7 million or a guy who puts up almost a point a game in JJ Perka for $7 million or $8 million i would I I know which one I want and then with the the rest of the salary cap space you could go out and get a you know number one defenseman a guy who can play like a Gavricov who can play with a Adam Fox and it looks like Gavricov could end up signing for $7 million in New York he wants to come to New York so again if you take a look at the advanced analytics Burka not offering too much in terms of defense right there is um you know a lot to be desired there in terms of defense but great offensive player and if you take a look at Keandre Miller uh you know his advanced analytics too you can see here that in terms of the defense he looks similar to JJ Purka offers a little bit more offensively but man he had a tough year his decision-making is just not there we’ve talked about it at Nauseium does not have the hockey IQ throws pizzas up the middle of the ice at the most inopportune times when you need to shut it down and win a game so this is a guy they need to move off of at this point and and Louie is speculating that maybe the Rangers want to move into the top 10 they can trade him maybe to Nashville i think that is some wishful thinking right i think Nashville wants to use their pick i know there’s reports that maybe they’d look into trading it but at the same time if you look at what Nashville did last offseason it’s turned out horribly so there is a lot going on right now but again um you know Keandre Miller at this point is going to be moved this week carson Susi is going to be moved and I believe that the Rangers with the cap space available from uh Carson Susi are going to sign Will with it so it’s going to be very interesting keandre Miller again it’s not going to be KAR Miller for JJ Perka straight up that won’t work but trade rumors are intensifying leaguewide and I would not be surprised if Chris Shere pulls off three massive trades this week let me know how you feel in the comments about a potential Kandre Miller for JJ Purka trade again probably wouldn’t be one for one probably be a bigger trade but maybe you can get another piece out of Buffalo and maybe you can dump some salary as well if you’re the New York Rangers could be
