BREAKING NEWS: Evander Kane Traded To the Vancouver Canucks
the edmonton oilers have moved on from a vanderane sending him to the vancouver conucks in exchange for a fourthround pick the first big move that the oilers have made this summer and one of many that we’ll probably see here in the near future funnily enough the fourth round pick they got back from the vancouver canucks was the pick they traded to vancouver to get vasili pod kohl’s in which was also the pick they got from the ottawa senators in the ruby javventi trade earlier last summer as well if anakin leaves the oilers play him 161 games in the regular season 62 goals and 111 points but we’ll all remember him for his playoff impact playing 68 games having a huge impact on the team in the 2022 run obviously we all remember the infamous sevenfinger pose he he did down in la when he forced game seven for the edmonton oilers as they continued on to the western conference finals 42 points overall in the playoffs for evander this whole purpose of this trade wasn’t for the oilers to obviously gain assets for the draft as a positive but it was to it was to get rid of some cap space so they shed 5.125 million in cap space which takes them over just over 17 million obviously a busy summer ahead like we said evan bushard needs to be signed you probably want to go find a goalie some top six help as well which is ironic after getting rid of a vanderane but he’s an aging power forward in his last year of his deal a player who had an impact in the playoffs this year up until the stanley cup final first couple of games were great and then gradually just fell down a little bit and i think that came to the end of his time for the edmonton oilers and again pretty solid run here for vanderin he had this message to the fans on x to the fans thank you for embracing me and showing unwavered support throughout my time in edmonton roger’s place was always electric and i’m proud to have played in front of such a passionate fan base and the hockey city my family and i have built some incredible relationships that will last forever he also had some messages to his teammates and management in edmonton as well you can go check that out on his ex account uh vancouver canucks general manager patrick alvine had this to say about vanderin vander is a physical power forward who will add some muchneeded size and softness to our group we like the way he wins puck battles along the boards and handles himself in dirty areas in front of the net ivander moves well around the ice and has proven to be a productive goalcorer in the nhl we are excited to bring him back home to vancouver and our staff looks forward to working with him this upcoming season so there you go evander kane traded to the vancouver canucks for a fourth round pick which works out to be the 117th overall pick this upcoming draft which means the oilers now have four picks coming up this weekend in the nhl draft so stay locked in to oilers nation or here on youtube subscribe we’ll be live for oilers nation every day later

It’s really only 3 million in space if Bouch is 10.61 million and Freddy is 4 million, when they do sign
Something we all knew was going to happen, going to miss his grit/toughness & willingness to stand up for his teammates and fight. His talent & skill level are under appreciated imo. Can score & make plays out of nothing by just going to the hard areas like the corners & front of the net. Happy for him that he finally gets to go home to play in front of his family, friends and fans there. Just wish it was a straight across trade for Demko Thatcher. Oh well I know that it was a necessary cap dump so it will work out good for both. Good luck Kaner except when playing against the Oilers of course. Sure is going to be interesting now that the Oilers have to play against him so often. They better sign Frederics. Just saying.
Will miss kane.
I will miss the hockey player but not the baggage
Oilers fall off is going to be crazy
Finally will not get to see stupid penalty’s 🙌🏼 and misconducts. Finally
Surprising smart move
Imagine if They bring him back at 50% retained at the deadline 🙈
He will be remembered for 'old ways' and PIM in the 2024/2025 SCF. Good riddance.
He was never really a true team player, it seemed always about himself bringing fancy cars to games.
Cap move to resign Bouch, get a goalie, help to sign Fredrick and get a more $$$ for a top 6 winger if possible. Next up to trade is Arvidson… Thanks to Kaner for all he did while here though
Thats a trade i do for a goalie or use at trade dealline
Smart move by the Oilers
He was my favorite player
Enjoy the rebuild EDM bums. McDonald's is being traded next, to Vegas.
