so could the San Jose Sharks be signing Mitch Mner to a contract this 2025 NHL off season well here on the screen is a tweet on X from NHL rumor report which says Chris Johnston the San Jose Sharks are going to make an effort to speak with Mitch Mner I don’t think that I don’t I don’t think that’s their ultimately uh something that this doesn’t make any sense I don’t that that’s ultimately uh something that makes the most sense for them per TSN 1050 So Mitch Martner is a very coveted name this off season A lot of reports indicate him wanting to go to Dallas or Vegas this off season I would even throw Los Angeles into the mix as well as kind of the three teams that I would keep an eye on uh to sign Mitch Martin to a big time deal But there is teams out there like the Blackhawks the Ducks and the San Jose Sharks which are mentioned here that can probably put together the most lucrative offer financially speaking because of how much cap space those teams have So the Sharks want to get better and they have cap space If they wanted to throw like a gigantic offer at Marner they very well could Like for example if they wanted to throw let’s just say like a four-year deal for like $15 million for example A four-year $60 million contract they could do that Now through Mitch Mner and his camp do you want to go to San Jose potentially like it’s a smaller market It’s a good place to live Um the weather’s beautiful Um the team is on the rise Like they have some legit pieces Minelabbrini Will Smith etc They have a bright future But if you’re Mitch Mner are you just gonna sell out this offseason can go to whoever gives you the best contract hit the market in three or four years then cash in again potentially Uh the state income tax as well uh in California is pretty high So his cost of living of course would be pretty high there And the Sharks would have to pit just an obscene amount of money which they could definitely do I’m not going to throw it past them there But as I mentioned before I think Mitch Marty wants to win and go to a team with no state income tax So I’d keep an eye on you know the Vegas Golden Knights and the Dallas Stars as probably the top two destinations for him but also with throwing the Kings in there as sort of a third team to keep an eye on So what do you guys think a San Jose uh Sharks contract for Mitch Martyr looks like as I mentioned before could it be like a three or a four-year deal for like 14 or 15 million bucks it very well could And truthfully speaking that’s probably the only way the Sharks would be able to land him if it came down to dollars and cents So leave all your thoughts down below As always thanks again for watching and I’ll see you in the next one
