well well well i am sure the Cowboys have disappointed some of the Dallas Cowboy fans with their last two signings in the last couple of days the Dallas Cowboys everybody knows we had injuries in the quarterback room and people were hoping the Cowboys were going to go out and get Jy Alexander the Cowboys I mean they did get a Green Bay quarterback but it wasn’t Gyro Alexander the Cowboys instead got little known Robert Rochelle calm down Cowboy fans i have a video about that go look at why he was brought in so a lot of people have also been saying the Cowboys need a one tech even with them saying they believe Mazy is going to take a step and people are saying the Cowboys need depth and I’ve already said the Cowboys are not going to be able to put the depth that everybody wants at every position well the Cowboys did go sign some depth they went and signed a defensive tackle nope it wasn’t DJ Reer who everybody has been clamoring for instead it was another little known defensive tackle by the name of Perry Winfrey who in the world is Perry Winfrey let’s talk Cowboys we’re about to talk facts welcome welcome welcome cowboy fans and cowboy haters alike i’m the G and I’m the still don’t really have a clue of who he is i went and watched a couple of videos on him i’m going to let you watch some snippets of those videos in case you are not familiar with him but uh I was shocked because Perion Winfrey has actually been in the NFL before let’s go over here and look at this article and then we’re going to look at a couple of video snippets so let’s look over here on Athlon Sports it talks about the fact that the Cowboys signed UFL standout Perion Winfrey it says the Dallas Cowboys are hoping to continue their luck in signing players out of the uh out of the UFFL the Cowboys have gotten three very good players and two of the three are now superstars in this league the Cowboys got Brandon Arbory out of the USFL we already know Brandon Arbory can kick it from the parking lot the Cowboys went and got Cavante Turpin one of the fastest guys in the NFL and one of the best quote unquote gadget players in the NFL the Cowboys also got Josh Butler who was showing a lot of promise and it looked like he was going to be this crazy success story and then he wound up hurting his knee so the Cowboys are saying hey four times why not go back to the whale again and so now they have went to go they went out and signed standout all UFL player with the Birmingham Stallions Perion Winfrey let’s read a little bit about him it says sources confirmed that the Cowboys are signing defensive tackle Perry on Winfrey after an all UFL season with the Birmingham Stallions this spring it says after a standout college career at Oklahoma i didn’t even know this guy was that big at Oklahoma it says but he had a standout career and I I think I got some I can show you on that winry was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL draft he was waved after one year with the Browns uh before being picked up by the New York Jets the following season he spent much of of his one-year contract in 2023 on the injured reserve or practice squad before becoming a free agent and testing out his skills in the US let me tell you something i believe he went to two of the worst franchises that you can go to cleveland Browns and the and the New York Jets they’re just not good franchises to me they just seem to have I mean look at the debacle they have going over in Cleveland right now i mean they have what four quarterbacks uh four quarterbacks and actually they have five signed Deshun Watson to this insane deal and now they have what joe Flacco Kenny Picket uh the kid they drafted Shador and Shador Sanders of which we all know Shador Sanders should probably be their starting quarterback but I I I hope actually Shador gets out of there but I digress i would never want to go to Cleveland and I would never never want to go to the New York Jets a very dysfunctional uh organization and so who knows haron Winfrey may very well come to the Cowboys especially with the coaching staff they have right now and he may very well turn out to be a stud for the Cowboys and be a very good run stopper it says here the 6’3 290lb approved his pre-draft pedigree by earning all league honors in the spring after joining the Stallions in October of last year he says he comes to the Cowboys and previous ties to the coaching staff i think that’s a good thing during his time on the Jets practice squad he worked with Dallas’s new defensive line coach Aaron White Cotton who seems to be very good he also reits with former New York teammate and fellow defensive tackle Dak Prescott doppelganger Solomon Thomas who signed with the Cowboys earlier this off season so hey I’m telling you man Perryon Winry may very well turn out to be really really good he may very well turn out to be a part of the the you know be that one tech that veteran quote unquote I don’t know veteran I mean he came in what 2022 but he may very well turn out to be that depth that cowboy fans are looking for so let’s check this out i found a video talking about him let’s find out you a little bit hyped up when you when you look at it really really has you rooting for this guy check it out everything’s at stake this is my last opportunity to do what I need to do to get myself to that next level knowing that if I don’t do what I need to do that I’m not going to be able to take care of my son and I felt that feeling before i know what it feels like to not be able to take care of your family and I don’t want to ever feel that feeling again failure is not an option peron interview take one marked it’s a movie [Music] on game day I wake up in the morning and I’m just really excited you thinking about the game all day and you’re a little bit nervous but you’re a little bit anxious it’s important to channel those emotions and when you need to use that emotion in the game use it right on top of Zaandre White now what a tackle by Peron Winry my name is Perion Winfrey i play for the Birmingham Stallions at defensive tackle [Music] on game day I take my socks off and I immediately walk on the field barefoot i broke my foot in 2023 so I really just started being barefoot a lot grocery store see I think this may be one of the reasons what what stumped this guy’s career he may absolutely be great with the Dallas Cowboys we should be I don’t know if we should be necessarily excited but I I do think maybe we should be excited with what this guy could be i I mean I like this film we’ll watch a little bit more of it but I’m going to put the link in the description so you can watch it in its totality gas station it allows me to just warm my feet up the right way and get grounded to the earth i just started to really look into grounding and why I felt more connected to myself and why I felt more connected to the earth and I started to realize that grounding reduced stress so it just allows me to become at peace with myself growing up in the projects shows me that not everybody has an easy life the adversity that I went through section A housing hand-me-down clothes EBT food stamps trying to figure out when our next meal was going to be but football could be my way out i’m just telling you man this guy man he’s one of those stories and I’m sure that Brian Shottenheimer was attracted to his story i mean this guy seems like he’s another one of these guys that could be hungry man he’s trying to make a name for himself he’s trying to get back into the league and he could very well turn out to be another Brandon Aubrey or another Cavante Turpin let’s check out Manny Dubs manny Dubs has a little bit of tape on him we’ll check that out then we’ll close this video out let’s dive into the film now first off let’s talk a little bit about Perion Winfrey this is a guy that is going to be a defensive tackle for them now will he make the team that is in question but uh played a little bit of time in the NFL did move over to um you know a different league not not the NFL and actually played really really well now when he did play for the Cleveland Browns he actually did show a little bit of potential and here’s a play right here eye formation they’re in 21 personnel two running back set one tight end where they’re going to just hand this thing off to the left he’s more of a two gapper okay so look at this play he’s going to go through an initial double team throw that guy off him right and then be able to disengage off this guy i mean absolute monster of a player on Peron Winfrey you guys need to understand obviously you have OSA right who they just signed you have Solomon Thomas you have Ernest Brown and now you have Perion this is a guy um that is not guaranteed a spot on this football team but man the potential is through the roof another guy i mean when you look at the Dallas Cowboys and what they’ve done this off season they have added a ton of just young high potential versatile type of players payton Turner right you talk about Donovan E to the defensive end uh Jack Sandborn Kenneth Murray Ker Elon who’s already starting to look like a really good player for them right aon Rimfrey is not much different man he’s got potential to be a really good player here in the NFL i mean look at this this just shocks me every time going through two offensive linemen disengaging and then throwing him in the back field i mean beautiful job right here by Perion one of the major reasons why the Dallas Cowboys said “You know what we need to make this guy a priority we need to sign him on a roster.” Last season the Dallas Cowboys ranked 28th in the NFL so almost dead last when it came to stopping the run they allowed about 4.8 yards per carry they allowed one and a half rushing touchdowns per game in 29th in the NFL again almost dead last in terms of rushing yards allowed per game they could not stop the run to save their lives peron Winfrey specializes in stopping the run here’s another one right hand off up the middle disengages and clogs up that gap right great job again him and a teammate watch this thing one more time so he gets to the inside again another double team here rips through fights forward and drives back great job let’s Let’s see his eyes on this play keep his eyes on the back field the entire time i mean it’s a great job man great job disengaging i’m all in on this signing even if he’s a depth addition a guy that can rotate in maybe in the third strength or fourth unit dude having a run stopper like this could be huge massive now before we get any further into this video guys I do ask a big favor make sure you guys hit that like button if you haven’t already personnel if you guys don’t understand personnel essentially that first number whether it’s 20 or if it’s 10 or if it’s 11 that first number is always going to represent the amount of running backs in the back field so we got one running back here and then we have one two three tight ends okay so you got 13 personnel there you go uh that in the these cases you want a lot of guys up here on the box and on the line of scrimmage because they’re most likely going to run the football right so here we go again this is from I believe 2022 this film again he spent some time um outside of the NFL but here’s another run handoff look at Winfrey man always fighting always working always trying to find leverage believe he’s right here okay right here on your football screen i mean first of all gets his guy on the ground right and then boom always so locked in the running back always trying to make a play and he does right here great job by Winfrey once again if it’s a running down put this man Cavonte Turpin has turned out josh Butler was on his way uh and of course we got the superstar Brandon Aubrey we got two of the three two out of three superstars maybe he could be number three and Josh Butler again he gets healthy maybe he’s on his way but again I’m not mad at this i mean it’s very low risk it doesn’t mean the Cowboys aren’t going to do anything later on but now you got another
