  1. Please dont fuck this up philly, sincerely. The league is better when phillies competitive

  2. Fuck all the conversations about whether people get drafted to teams or cities they want… kids like VJ get to literally change their families lives.

I hate he’s a 76er but i hope he has a long, healthy career & can continue to do himself & his family proud. Some things are bigger than basketball.

  3. One of my favorite stories of the night. My favorite part was his fellow Bahamian, BUDDDDDYYY, coming out to hug him and his family. I loved his family and how much they obviously support one another.

  4. Philly got another dawg, just need the health throughout the season now

  5. That was a great interview, really emotional! Rooting for you VJ, Congratulations on this awesome accomplishment

  6. between VJ, Mccain, and Maxey the sixers are stacking “players i want to hate because they play for Philly, but just can’t”

  7. Man….I hate Philly. But I so want this young man to succeed! This draft class got tales!

  8. This young man is going far, Philly has acquired a wholesome trio of killers in Maxey, McCain and now VJ

  9. So rooting for this kid. Go live a great life sir. Get it all. Stay humble.

  10. I think the sad thing is how people can live with such poverty in an apparent first-world nation and their way out of poverty is in a path that is unrealistic to pursue.

  11. It’s surreal how these success stories are celebrated and the amount of dystopian poverty in the us is still fine. Financial motivation is a strong tool.

  12. Congrats young dude. With heart like that i’m kinda digging the jimmy comp. I have a feeling this guy is one of them that will stay locked in and not forget where they came from.

  13. My guy just be responsible with your life changing money and everything will be alright. I’m still trusting the process with you guys! Let’s go!

  14. You did it, bro. You got drafted. You can take care of your family now.

    Who’s cutting onions? God damn.

  15. We got a green here Philly. I liked him more than Ace by a hair but, this young man showed his heart. This is a W for us fans on draft night!

  16. I didn’t know much about him until recently, but damn if he doesn’t seem like a good dude. Hope he has a long career.
