Why Everyone Is Talking About Jalen Williams and Jaden Ivey!

think about this for a second jaylen Williams right 6’5 super athletic played point guard in high school and college loves to get downhill explosive finisher at the rim extremely high motor much improved three-point shooter does that sound like anybody on our team jaden Ivy this is where we see him go you know how much of a hard worker he is ivy is going to be a superstar in this league one day if you look at the season stats Jaylen at 215 and five steel jaden right there at 174 and four in a steel i still don’t think people realize how talented Jaden Ivy is or how good he’s going to be i want to be clear i want to be fair jaylen Williams is a baller he’s all NBA defender but after seeing the defensive improvement from nearly all of our guys last year there’s no reason to think that Jaden won’t become a good defender in time i think we would have seen a lot of what we saw last night from K Cunningham and Jaden Ivy they sorely needed that other playmaker alongside Kade the Knicks defense was solely focused on slowing Kade down it’s the same thing we saw the Pacers do to the Thunder but it blew up in their face because they had Jaylen Woods he made him pay for it the same way I think Jaden would have made the Knicks pay for trying to do that and the effort that he does give on defense which he never really gives credit for even when Monty Williams was here he still was given that effort that’s why we were so flabbergasted when he wouldn’t get on the court and just having the luxury of having two guys who can play either guard spot that’s hard to guard the Pacers they have two guards who can do both i think people are overthinking this next year I’m expecting this back court to push to be one of the best in the league they have the formula they just need the reps they just need the time just like Callie and Nimhart need a time just like Shay and Jaylen needed time jason Tatum and Jaylen Brown 78 years until they got a title fan base was screaming every year to break them up over there and look at that paid out for them our back work is fine man

Jaden Ivey and Jalen Williams are both electrifying young guards, but each brings a distinct blend of skills and strengths.

Ivey absolutely has the athletic and playmaking ceiling to match or even exceed Williams. However, his journey will hinge on developing a consistent jumper, improving basketball IQ, and solidifying his role within the Pistons’ system.

Williams carved his path through efficiency, length, and two‑way polish. If Ivey can similarly refine his shot, decision-making, and defensive instincts, there’s no reason he can’t end up in that same orbit—or beyond.

  1. Jaden has real potential and we have a bad habit of not trying to develop players before giving up on them and it has always historically backfired

  2. The Lord will take Ivey to that superstardom and greatness as long as he’s doing it for His will. That injury was a test to see how committed he is to this, and I guarantee God will bring him back better than ever. It’s all so the Lord’s name can be said in front of millions one day.

  3. Here’s the major difference that it will be important that the Pistons and fans keep in mind when watching his development. He is a natural off-ball scorer who was not a point guard in college. Similar to Stephen Curry at Davidson, he was at his best moving off ball and developed his on-ball game over time but was unlocked when Draymond allowed him to be off ball more. If Ivey embraces scoring off ball for the Pistons he can unlock this entire roster because when he is on the move he is damn near unstoppable with his speed with and without the ball. Putting the ball in Ausar, Duren, and Cade’s hands to facilitate to him can create an element of the Pistons’ offense that makes them unstoppable. (Video coming soon)😉
