number on the screen for more information and let’s find out if it’s right for you but let’s get to this one between the San Francisco Giants and the Miami Marlins the San Francisco Giants sending out Hayden Birdong for the start in this one while the Marlins will counter with Jansen Junk and Junk was solid in his last start i mean his first start at the major league level since 2023 it was five innings of one-run ball gave up five hits and five strikeouts in the win over the Atlanta Braves and they managed to get it done now they take on a a Giants or sorry he takes on a Giants lineup that um you know has not been all that effective as of late if you look at San Francisco’s numbers against right-handed pitching in the last two weeks this is still a uh San Francisco team that you know on paper still has a 257 batting average their team OPS numbers are decent just outside the top five their isolated power numbers are above league average and high walk rate at 14.2% low strikeout rate below 20 but I still have my concerns about this uh this San Francisco Giants lineup just because the the run production isn’t consistent the offense hasn’t been consistent i mean entering uh Wednesday’s action they had scored three runs or less in five of their previous seven games and it’s just an offense that you know sputters at times it’s been a reason why you know they’ve had some inconsistencies as of late losing six of their last nine entering Wednesday so I think Jansen Junk could have a decent enough start here on the other side Hayden Birdong you know three in one record a 3.25 RA coming off of his worst start of the season five runs allowed four earned on seven hits uh gave up a home run as well against the Boston Red Sox and I just think the Bird Song isn’t for me you know a minus 170 minus 175 pitcher is in this matchup i mean the Miami Marlins have been able to hold their own against right-handed pitching in the last two weeks you know they’ve their their numbers haven’t been spectacular in terms of isolated power but their team OPS numbers are okay you know they’re not that far off of San Francisco’s and the Marlins are hitting 269 so it’s just a lot of small ball a lot of singles but a low strikeout rate below 20% in their own right and I think that like I said I think that Hayden Bernong is a little bit overpriced in this matchup uh I think Jansen Junk could do enough here there’s just not enough of a difference in the bullpen form for me right now to say that this is a justified price for the San Francisco Giants you know the Miami Marlins you know in the last seven days their bullpen erra 2.49 the Giants are at 2.45 so I’m going to take a shot here with the Marlins plus the one and a half runs i might sprinkle something on Marlin’s money line as well but I just think that like I said there’s just there’s not that much of a gap to where I want to lay minus 170US 175 with the Giants here or even chase a run line to get any sort of value so
