The Marlins, they have won eight of their last 12 and a chance today at another sweep this month, a possibility at some early summer cleaning. San francisco has not been swept at home this season. The Marlins will try to do so here this afternoon, Hayden Birdsong is going to have a chance to help the Giants avoid a sweep today. And Birdsong has not been his sharpest here in the month of June. In fact, his best start in this month came on the first of the month which was against the same Marlins team down in Miami Xavier Edwards to lead it off. He has eight multi hit games this month and a pop up to Adamo said short as he waits and that’s how this game gets started going to bring up Otto Lopez, the three big shortstop with two away in the top of the first against her song that was thrown inside and it hits Lopez after the game yesterday, Logan Webb came out and said, we have to do a better job at protecting our players. Hayden Birdsong finds himself in a sticky situation because he needed to get right about something that wasn’t the Marlins fault. That ball is well, cranked to left field going good, took the home run lead on the team with his 12th in the first. And Ramirez says we’re tied again, buddy. Five nothing Miami four 143 ft. Now he has the longest two home runs on the season for the Marlins. Andrew Kisner two for 24 since coming up to the big leagues 12 and Kisner pokes this one into right center. It’s going to get down base hit. That was kind of amazing. That pitch was a foot outside. So now Jastremski comes up with a runner at first and nobody out strike three called in the four. Seamer. Jastremski didn’t like that call but it did look like it was in the lower part of the zone. Devers had a good swing. His first time up in a two strike count hit a low liner to left center, hit high and deep to center field myers back on and a huge home run from Devers. That one just kept going, man. He pummeled it out to right center field and the Giants are on the board. It’s 5 to 2 2nd home run with the Giants for Devers. We have seen some long home runs in this game today. The Giants have some momentum on their side for the first time in this game and Lee Lights one, it is going to be Sanchez and now Doug Hooley is off and he’s got a chance sprinting to third and he’ll get the stop sign as the center fielder Myers finally got to it. Jong Lee ends up at third. Well, for sanchez, he kind of got a rock and a hard place. Do I go? Do I lay back when he gambled? It did not work out. And that’s an opportunity. A leadoff triple in the pitch to Adam and he lines it in the left field of base. Here comes Lee, he will score easily and it’s 5 to 3. That’s got to feel good. It feels great and it feels great up and down that Giants dugout. And now you get the tying run in the batter’s box after being down five nothing a line drive down the right field line and a fair ball up against Arley. Number one, stopping at third is Adamus pass with a double, just a beautiful two strike swing on a pitch on the outside. And the only way you get to that pitch if you commit, I’m going to go with location Daniel Moskos is going to come out and try and calm junk down, see if they can keep it going. So it is a 1 to 4 put out that pushes wisely to third base, three runs, four hits a sacrifice bunt in 14 pitches punched out in the air shallow left field. This will be interesting, makes the catch runner is coming and now it stops as the throw comes home. Wiseley started coming down and Then stopped. He’s going to bring in the lefty Josh Simpson tough fourth inning for Js. They got the Giants offense going that almost hit him. We already have had warnings on both sides that’s four to Devers. He’s on base for the third straight time and now Ramos gets it at bat against a lefty says a Marquez strike three and Simpson again another good job back to back walks by Birdsong and the Marlins are in business here. I mean, this guy is putting together quite the season, Norby , he finds Wagmans spot too. Rounding third is Eric. He’ll score another two out. RB. I hit for Miami 85. I knocks against spencer Bivens and with one away, it’s Augustine Ramirez who has doubled and homered so far today grounded to third base. It is a fair ball deep at third is a good one. Look at the back swing here with ramirez, you’re going to hear this. The catcher on that back swing right off the head. This series has gotten really chippy and that is a leadoff walk issued by Sean Jelly. Let’s see how this bats Myers up the middle will get a first hand of the series. That feels good. You’re right. That bat, that new bat is a lot better. The corners pinch in. Nick Fortes could be asked to bunt here with the Marlins up by three. Fortes at Jelly, looks at third. He’ll go to first and makes the play great bunt by Fortes Norby to third and myers to second. It’ll be Xavier Edwards against sean Celli. The right. He’s 11 that one hit. Well, now to right field that’s turning on Yastrzemski and that will one hop off the wall, it’s over his head. Norby and Myers score and Xavier Edwards has a two run double. The fists are scoring in bunches. X has been as hot as anyone in baseball over the last week or so. And Xavier Edwards drives in two more and here’s sanchez, another extra base hit too line shot. That’s a base hit Edwards on the liner will just go up 90 ft. Sanchez first hit of the game. He’s one for three entire lineup up and down with the exception of Lopez has a hit, but Lopez has reached base two times and he scored both times and a base hit to right field for Lopez, another run for Miami. Now everybody has a hit three across in this inning and it’s 11 to 5 Marlins in the top of the eighth Lopez 18 for his last 52. Another hit Ramirez with a base hit. Another run will score as sanchez comes in going over to third is Lopez ramirez with his third RB I and now the route is on here in San Francisco in with one out. Here’s will. Adama. Adama had a couple of good at bats line drive base hit into right center field. That’s a good sign. Three hits for Adama. This guy cos who’s got a double and a run scored. He pulls one in the left field base hit Christian cause his second hit of the game make it interesting. So Kisner, he gets the shot and knocking in a couple of runs, ground ball sharply hit the second star though by Edwards and good job by Belloso to get out of it. We go to the night. So here’s Devers been a very good day for Devers at the plate , single two run homer and it was just a thing of beauty. It’s a high fly ball to left starting to carry and it’s off the very top of the wall. Devers is gonna jog into second with a double kind of thought he had one. I do believe so. The opposite field is really amazing. You can see why he had so much success at Fenway. So he’s at second with one out. Ramos has a chance to get his first hit of the day. Beautiful sweeper and a strike out of Ramos and of Arlington. Now one out away from the sweep of Romo Flores coming up for zero for four. Back up, serving back Ortez fights it off and how sweep it is for Miami, a 12 5 win. They take all three games here against the tough Giants.
