Assuming we don’t have Ehlers, how would people feel about this?

we need a play driver on the 2nd line. i don’t watch much canucks hockey but im not sure if boeser fits that role
I’d be happy with Boeser. More of a natural shooter than Ehlers and I feel that is something the second line needs.
I’d love to get him! Boeser was absolute menace in 2023.
If we can’t re-sign Ehlers he’d be the next best thing. His injury history does worry me a bit, but he’s scored 40 before and with the cap going up it shouldn’t be too bad
I love him as a player but I feel like he might end up kinda like Tyler Toffoli did with us, not a fast enough skater and team can’t set up his shot.
Chevy has been pretty high on him in the past though. And better he join us than the Wild. The central loading up so much.

We need to improve skating and compete level of our top 6. Tough to lock in a bunch of years with Boeser.
Im sure he will be an okay player, but him and Toews aren’t exactly rising stars. Chevy just gets stuck on guys and just never lets go.
Boeser seems like a good fit for the Rangers and Jets, but the Jets have more cap space so I imagine they could give him a better offer.

I saw another post worrying how a big contract for Nik would look in 4 years …. Yeesh not nearly as ugly as this hot mess, dude couldn’t keep up with a one legged EP40 in 24/25
I’m sure the locker room would love him, lots of guys who played minny hockey.

I’d rather keep Fly and get Boeser
With Boeser and Pereftti our 2nd line is so damn slow, what 2C can we get with speed?

I do think Boeser would play well with Perfetti
People in here not excited by the possibility of Brock signing here have definitely not seen him play at his best, guy is absolutely lethal and has been a solid playoff performer in the past.
Here is his highlights from his 40 goal 2023-2024 season.
He’s not a zone entry beast like ehlers but he’s a monster of an offensive player with great skills netfront and a great shot. He had a rough year in Van but the ENTIRE TEAM sucked ass.
Like a less physical and more shot oriented Vilardi
Just talking about this the other day with some friends.
If Ehlers is gone, having Boeser is a huge move to fill the hole.
The potential of Brock and Toews on the roster, as depth and leadership to a group we can incorporate more youth in, is a big win for me.
