Do they expect Don to just go out and just start blowing cap space and making stupid moves?

If you think Don isn’t working around the clock, planning shit out, I don’t know what to tell you. Carolina is where they are right now because of Don. The man is making his calls.

We all know what this signing is. It’s Brendan. He’s an AHL depth signing, has history captaining Cleveland, and just in case we need to call somebody up if there’s an injury, he’s there if that happens. We can’t just leave Cleveland with nothing….and lets be real Owen Sillinger is still probably gonna be out for a bit, and Luca Del Bel Ba Bing Bong Bambino Bazinga probably spends a significant amount of time with us this year much like Python did last year, at least at some point.

It’s a good signing and I’m happy with it. Some of you probably remember two seasons ago, when we were absolutely riddled with injuries, he came in.

We put him on the third line with Olivier and Voronkov. While he didn’t necessarily score a lot, he was still out there finishing checks and doing damage. For an AHL signing, we could certainly do a lot worse. I genuinely don’t know what Twitter expects.

I saw people throwing a fit because we didn’t make a trade for Zegras. Like come on dude. We just got rid of Laine. We don’t need another guy that gets injured all the time.

Plus I feel KJ is turning out to basically be a better version of Zegras anyway. Ok rant over.

  1. I for one, would be stunned if he didn’t make the roster! Jokes aside, we build a team slowly. Look at Chicago for example. They got their star. Does 1 single guy win games night in, and out? No. More often than not, depth does. I trust Don Waddell.

Also don’t put so much stock into Twitter. They’re all braindead or bots. Or braindead bots. I got off because all it did was make me angry, and I was only on the sports side lol.

  2. There’s a bunch of people that saw we had a great run last year all things considered and think we are a few big moves away from a cup. We definitely are not. I’d rather slowly build a team with staying power than blow everything on a superstar that will only be here a few years then we are back at the bottom. I want a dynasty, not a playoff run.

Yes. I see this at lot on r/Gunners when the transfer window opens. I do get it a bit because you see teams doing things and you get antsy. The problem is they assume the team is doing NOTHING but of course things are always happening behind the scenes.

I feel confident we’ll get the **right** pieces that fit in time.

  4. He is really going to need to do something on the back end. It’s looking more and more like Provorov and Fabbro both could walk and that leaves a massive hole. Its really going to be critical to have a plan B to fill in the hole with NHL experienced defenders.
