This has Ed Rogers written all over it. There has been an MLSE power struggle for years. MLSE owns the Raptors and Toronto Maple Leafs NHL teams (maybe the soccer team too). MLSE is headed by Larry Tanenbaum and Ed Rogers the head guy at Rogers who is a large telecommunications company in Canada. Tanenbaum who is a big Masai fan had a controlling stake and Ed didn’t like Masai. Last year Rogers finally bought a majority stake in MLSE.
