WWE’s Bayley announces both of the San Jose Sharks’ first-round picks | 2025 NHL Draft

well we’re going to find out the Sharks picking at number two the commissioner with the call [Applause] it It’s time for the second pick in the NHL entry draft making the selection for the San Jose Sharks is someone born and raised in San Jose she’s a WWE superstar and two-time WWE Smackdown champion i give you Bailey [Applause] thank you so much nice to meet you nice to meet you thank you hello Los Angeles hockey fans it is a huge honor to be here tonight and a huge honor to represent my San Jose Sharks hey you better watch them booze all right so without further ado with the second overall selection in the 2025 NHL draft the San Jose Sharks are proud to select from the Sagena spirit Michael Misa ah so it is Misa an elite offensive talent we’re beating the clock look at that thing back there all those funky
twigs gary Benton with the Shark second first round pick of the night [Music] making the 30th selection for the Sharks we have Bailey again
hello i’m I’m getting a little emotional back there watching all these dreams come true congratulations to everybody so far this is so much fun to be a part of but uh with this big title on my shoulder we have another dream to make come true so with the 30th overall selection in the 2025 NHL draft the San Jose Sharks are proud to select from the Prince George Cougars Joshua Ravensburgen [Music] all right all right all right weeksy so chalk that up just two southpaw goalies now they traded for Ascarav last year he’s a southpaw very promising young goalender for the San Jose Sharks to get Ravensburg from Prince George Cougars who as I mentioned early in the show has some similarities to Logan Thompson big rangy he’s worked exceptionally hard to become the number one goalie up there in Prince George it was not handed to him by any stretch also little fun fact him and his friend helped save somebody in a chairlift as well when they were skiing so a very astute young man
he’s worked exceptionally hard props to him here
and only 5% of NHL uh goalies are southpaws so a bit unusual
and the Caps have two of them
there you go
yeah it’s your point
my comparable with Demco um you know prototypical NHL size you see that 65 very rangy naturally fills the net doesn’t have to move a ton but he utili utilizes that size effectively so you can see almost those really big saves with that range um and his ability to make that spectacular save is really what stands out he had second most wins in the WHL with 33 this season
six shutouts this year too
just tal you can’t leave him on that on go to the second round yeah got to pick him
why not he’s now absolutely absolutely
we see I’m curious i’d love to tap into your expertise here cuz I remember Kosaw and Wallstead getting drafted the first round
still waiting for them to get regular opportunities in the NHL like how have you seen attitude the last couple years evolve over drafting goalies
i think they’re still split they’re still split on what the development path looks like they’re also split now a little bit more on size now this trends back to tall big rangy goalie but Dustin Wolf has busted the mold here

  1. Bayley is incredibly professional and talented – she has put in the work recently turning her body into a wrestling machine of performance. She has my respect and deserves another push past the ones in the women's division that want everything handed to them
