  4. Come on Don, wake up! All the significant moves are getting made…… I’m so sick of always being “in the running” just for once this offseason can we actually get to the finish line on a big move?

  5. There’s no way they didn’t get better offers than this with how many teams need a true starting goalie. Verbeek just giving out the friend discount. Seriously though, I guess the no salary retention might be what pushed it over the edge.

  9. Mrazek sucks, but he’s better than Elvis, let that sink in. Anyone crying that we didn’t make this deal obviously doesn’t watch other teams and know that. Ducks don’t want a bum as a backup. Believe it or not, we CBJ fans are not the only people that know Elvis is subpar, everyone else knows it too.

  10. What are we doing? It’s baffling if we didn’t offer more than that. It’s pretty obvious this roster needs immediate help at goalie and RHD (and every team in the league could always use another elite forward). The draft picks (sort of) addressed those needs, but both of those players are years away, they’re not helping the 2025-2026 Jackets.

    I didn’t hate the trade yesterday, those guys should help, and I don’t really care about what we gave up, but neither of those guys really moves the needle. They just shore up the 3rd/4th line.

    This team is on the precipice of being good, and I feel like it’s a disservice to not give them a serious talent injection. Right now, I’m mildly annoyed, if they still haven’t done anything two weeks from now, I’m going to be pissed.

    Now if they do something nuts, like signing Marner or trading for Robertson, I’ll do a 180, and start worshiping at the altar of Don.
