well he Yeah his team lost in the Memorial Cup but my team won that year That I’ll say that was super important And it was big for me to be a winner and come into the draft as a winner So for him to have the accolades and to have that with him and the MVP of his league and be the player he is carry himself like he does Slick little smile with that sweet suit as well He’s going to be bringing a lot of swagger as well to Utah I I mean that all that stuff is super important So very impressive pick here by Utah

well we do believe he’s a game changer It’s uh he he can do everything He’s a he’s a two-way center that can provide offense and he can he can play defense and he just watching him down the stretch He put his team on his back as a 17-year-old and and he led him down the road to a championship and coming out of the Quebec League and uh it’s hard to get centerman He he’s one of the good ones and we’re really looking forward to him coming into Utah What’s that like to hear

All right thanks Alish Yes the first ever pick for the Utah Mammoth and he joins TJ Ginla who they took sixth overall last year They’re building something special in Utah as we await Nashville about to make the fifth selection I just want to wrap up on day like what kind of competitor is this guy as a young guy his older brother Elliot say you know they’re playing road hockey they’re playing pond hockey Oh yeah I’m the Montreal Canadians and Caleb was having none of that You know I’m going to be Milan Luchich of the Boston Bruins So take that Elliot That’s the type of competitor has He’s had that since he’s been a young boy and that’s something that all NHL teams talked about Absolutely loving this guy and everything he can do on the ice
Taking another look at some of the awesomeness from Caleb Day one of my favorite players in the draft class He’s got a little bit of Jonathan Hubedo in him when Huie was a young Panther when I was in that organization He’s got that look about him where he can look off a defender and make plays ranked wide slow down see what’s available

That’s a walk off It’s nuts But I look at their team right clayton Keller Logan Culie Dylan Gunther across the board on that top line Hatton you go down the list Purka who they just added as well Bill Armstrong and they have so much draft capital cuz they they’ve a lot you know slotted all these picks that they’ve traded for Uh you have the draft capital and now they’re getting the players and the draft prospects They’re all coming in Uh a big future in Utah Nashville again on the board and maybe no team really more disappointing than Nashville this past season right 30th in the NHL after we declared them winners in the offseason because of that great free agency
