you know when you look at the first two games of this series I mean I look at it as I have the feeling that we gave the games away instead of the Marlins taking and winning it and so that’s what’s frustrating about these first two games of the series so nothing you could do about those first two games but you can have something to do about this game and and uh it’s about playing a clean game of baseball you know not giving extra outs to that team and and doing the little things to win games and this team’s capable of doing that the pitching matchup is an intriguing one eduardo Rodriguez since he has come back off the injured list has looked maybe the best he has at any point with the Diamondbacks and specifically his last start six shutout innings five hits he struck out 10 white socks if he continues this play I think it’s going to change the narrative about Rodriguez since he joined the Diamondbacks and the way he’s been throwing the ball in his last three starts
well there’s one thing the Dbacks really need him they need to lean on him especially in this game here and it’s a critical game not just because winning the game but you need to start building a little momentum you have the Giants coming in for the next four games and that’s going to be a tough series and and you want to feel like you’re not just limping into that series you want to do something to win and and Rod the way he’s been throwing the ball maybe he’s getting to that point where he’s completely healthy and he’s executing his pitches and now the confidence is rising and now you’re looking for a good performance
meanwhile you look at a guy like Cal Quantro he sounds like a veteran because he’s been pitching for a while he’s only 30 years old so still plenty of miles left on that arm and he might not pitch the deepest into games but he’s been really steady as of late signed a one-year deal you look at his last seven Candy one and three record an erra under four and he’s only allowed three runs or more over those last seven starts twice so the Marlins know pretty much what they’re going to get on a given night when this guy takes the mound
i mean this you nailed it right there you know he’s not a guy that’s going to strike a lot of guys out he’s not a guy that’s going to walk a lot of guys he does a decent job keeping the ball in the ballpark you know what you’re going to get one thing where he has really struggled is that been against right-handed hitters they’re hitting 368 against him and eight of the 10 home runs he’s given up have been to righties so hopefully this will uh hold true in this game the Diamondbacks can you know they can put a little bit of a hurting on them and look for as much as the Diamondbacks have struggled so it seems in the win loss department the offense just continues to be excellent they were able to score seven runs yesterday they did it on a total of 10 hits only one of those hits was a home run they’re kind of going back to building the inning and that’s something you’ve talked about before when it’s the guys working together passing the baton from one player to the next that’s when this offense is at its best and that’s what it’s been the last couple days here in this series
yeah it certainly is nice to have a mix of that right it’s always great hitting the long ball and you know knock it out hit that three-run home run and and uh you know get on the board real quickly like that but also it’s important when you play in tough critical games to be able to do it and generate runs by moving guys over getting them on moving them over you know if you have to get a bunt down if you do a little butt and run a hit and run whatever it takes do get that sacrifice fly do those things because that’s how you win really close games and the defense it just has to be better for the Diamondbacks it wasn’t the case out of the gates yesterday and the Dbacks ultimately paid the price at the end
yeah that was frustrating you know we’ve talked about what a great job Brandon Buck did really striking the last three guys out in that inning after giving up two runs could have been a big score but still those two runs did come in and you know when you end up playing a close game like the Diamondbacks did and losing an extras then yep that really does come back to haunt you

well you definitely have to keep the ball in the ballpark against these guys cuz they swing and they swing hard rod has given up 11 home runs in his 66 and two/3 innings even though lefties hit for a higher average against Rod righty’s hit for a high average but they’re the ones with the slug they’ve hit nine home runs of the 11 that he’s given up so got to keep the ball down try to get your ground balls and stay out of the middle of the part of the plate
we certainly saw towards the end of the game last night the running game really benefiting the Marlins how well do I and Herrera work together and trying to limit guys stealing bases well I think that’s just a common practice with a team you know that has nothing really to lose you know they’re going to come at you any which way they’re going to swing hard they get on a base they’re going to be aggressive they’re going to try to steal bases they’ll probably try to hit and run if they get a chance they’ll do all the little things to try to upset the defense of the Diamondbacks they saw what happened at the beginning of the game yesterday they knew that the Dbacks were back on the heels of their feet they’re probably going to take it to them
we will see if they can fend off the sweep now an important game for the Diamondbacks as they try and get back to over 500 otto Lopez ready to lead off and Eduardo Rodriguez the line of the first pitch is swung on and fouled back and away we go first pitch at 111 the counting and one i
think it’s important for Rod to be that striketh thrower these guys like to swing the bat so good quality strikes now the 01 that fast ball is upstairs one ball one strike the count lopez a massive day yesterday in terms of the offense and a huge homer in the eighth as now he swings and lifts a fly ball down the right field line no one’s going to get to it and it lands just in front of the netting one ball two strikes that count i think the success of every pitcher that goes out there is really going to be we talk about getting ahead in the cap but it’s really you know being strike one and being one and two more than anything once you get yourself to one and two counts this is when you have a chance to expand the zone a little bit and make that hitter go after the pitch you want to get them out with road trip for the Marlins started in San Francisco so far Lopez is 10 for 22 two homers two doubles and now he gots gets jammed pardon me and fights it off foul one ball two strikes to count eight homers 38 RBI you said it well this is a team that’s playing like they got nothing to lose as the one two is low and since then all they’ve done is win they’ve won six in a row they’ve won seven of the last eight and they’re trying to pull off back-to-back sweeps of teams in the National League West none of them being the Rockies you know I think that’s been the one impressive thing about the Marlins is you know they’ve done it against the Giants now they’re doing it against the Dbacks rolled over to the left side it is Peromo who gloves and throws to first and a better start here one batter up one batter down and now here comes the designated hitter Augustine Ramirez well nice pitch great result purdomo when he got that ball he really set himself and made a strong throw right across the diamond to pave this kid Ramirez has been impressive i’m sure not too many Diamondback fans knew much about him as he swings and lines it foul right side they count nothing and one as we mentioned he made his debut in the latter part of April he’s only 23 years old and he’s got the ball in Chase Steel this year we heard Steve Zinsmeister talk about it on the pregame show cuz now the 01 is low one ball and one strike look you hit it over 110 miles an hour you got it flush 115 that is like you’re now one of the elite power hitters higher than one too high it’s two ball and a strike that’s why you have to check your hat two balls one strike to count 12 homers he’s driven in 33 and now the two-1 pitch ramirez swings and fouls it off the mask of Herrera two balls two strikes the count just kind of checking on Herrera that foul tip came right back and got him flush in the mask herrera chooses not to wear the two-piece catcher’s helmet it’s more of the traditional hockey goalie mask there’s a 2-2 there’s a swing that ball is tagged out to deep center field thomas is going back looking up and over his head it’s off the center field wall it kicks far away and now Ramirez going to make the turnaround second he’s going for third the throw not in time and a one out triple as that ball was kissed at 107 mph almost sounds like it’s average for him 106 miles an hour 107 but he just he drilled that ball i mean Alec Thomas turned around immediately and just went right to the wall and still couldn’t catch up with that ball’s head well above where he was at that’s the first career major league triple for Ramirez and though Oracle Park is known for triples alley Chase Field is known to produce quite a few triples as well the infield is back gberto Hernandez another rookie at the plate and he with a late swing and miss is down to the count 0 and one
we’ve been talking about the strikeouts that Rodriguez has been getting this is a time where you really want to get one got a guy in third base the infield’s playing back other than Suarez at third so a ground ball is going to get a run in not a huge amount of games played for Hernandez as this 01 missed inside one ball and one strike to count this is just his 20th game but I mean look through 20 games or at least 19 guy’s hitting .345 with an OPS at 900 1-1 another swing another miss rodriguez seems to have unlocked a hole up and in on Hernandez and the count now one and two
oh that’s right i mean that’s exactly where Herrera wanted that ball to up and in he got it right there
i want two swing and abyss it was all high fast balls and it was all swing and miss as there’s now two down here in the top of the first inning
got it up there right to the target once again they just were pounding that area just like you had mentioned you got another big swing and a miss there that’s a great look there that sort of reverse camera angle and now here is the first baseman Wagaman and he takes low for ball one wagaman has just basically every coach’s dream when it comes to approach against left-handed pitching up the middle to the right side as this 1 is again low two balls no strikes a big guy and you’d think that he would really kind of let it go really use that leverage that he has but it he looks more like a contact type hitter at least what we’ve seen in this series two balls no strikes swung on he got jammed weekley grounds it to third suarez bare hand pickup fires it over the head of Pav Smith and it one hops over the railing a run is going to score and it’s going to put Wagaman at second base credit Wagaman with an RBI infield single and Suarez now in the double digit errors that’s his 10
yeah he was just trying to make a play right here just a do or die and he made the play but just didn’t get the throw in the right place and it sailed over Pavven’s head and Augman now in scoring position extremely tough play for Suarez and now here is Dane Meyers and he takes a called strike alex McKay calling balls and strikes in this one brew Chief Alan Porter at first jim Wolf is at second and Chris Seagull over third here’s the 01 swung on and fouled nothing at two here on Meyers another guy in limited opportunities is hitting over 300 on the season not a huge power threat but we certainly saw how well his speed played especially stealing those two bases in the ninth inning no balls two strikes rodriguez set rodriguez throws and just getting a piece as Meyers using the same strategy he did against Hernandez trying to go upstairs and that’s where he’s had a lot of success that four seamer up high why not guys get those swing and miss and weak contact stay up there one- nothing Marlins two outs top of the first and here comes the O2 pitch in the dirt skips to the right of Herrera and Wagman will get to the third be a wild pitch and dropped the breaking ball of the slider and just a little bit too low and Pereira tried to block that ball he wasn’t trying to catch it but that reverse spin on the slider kicked away from him runner at third two down and the one two high that time two balls two strikes and now Rodriguez unfortunately going to be another high pitch first inning we saw Font have to throw over 30 and Rodriguez now sitting at 23 pitches here’s the 2-2 and he missed low full countdown now

top of the second inning one- nothing Marlins have the early lead connor Norby is going to lead off norby four homers 23 RBI’s on the season first pitch he swings and fouls it back was right down the middle by Rodriguez norby like many of his Marlin teammates having an excellent road trip offense has been the big thing as Miami has rattled off six straight wins the 01 there’s a swing and miss another high fast ball and the count nothing at two it might not be the really high bo but he has some life with that fast ball especially at the top of the zone the Marlins have been on a ridiculous runcoring pace as of late i’ll go over the go over their last four games for you as this O2 too high but after winning the opener against the Giants 4 to2 they won the second game 8 to five the finale 12 to five does this one two pitch Norby takes high again two and two the count and then obviously the two wins against the Diamondbacks in this series nine runs and eight runs respectively in two oneun wins they’re averaging almost 10 runs per game in their last four here’s a 2-2 now there’s a swing and a liner foul it’s almost like as if it’s become contagious to that lineup you know they start scoring some runs and I mean it’s not easy to score runs in San Francisco in that ballpark it’s tough you know little different story here at Chase Field but still they’re hitting the ball two two pitch there’s another swing and another foul by Norby there’s probably a more eloquent way to put this something that you’re kind of talking about here but as much as baseball especially today with some great research tools that we have at our disposal the things we can count as that 22 is low there is still such a emotional and human part of this game that can’t be discounted or discredited that really you can look at wins and losses and see where those human elements ments participate 3-2 swing and a miss lengthy at bat but Rodriguez finally gets the strike out boy right down the middle too that was just a cut fast ball and Norby looked like he just swung right through that like he saw it but just missed it nick Forz getting his first start of the series the product out of Miss and he takes a strike called the edge to count nothing in one for spends a lot more time as a defensive replacement and kind of as the backup with the emergence of Ramirez’s bat the 01 swung on and fouled no balls two strikes

suarez leads off here in the bottom of the second calantrol first pitch and he missed inside with a fast ball one ball no strikes to count quantrol last year the entire season with the Rockies prior to that had spent a majority of his career in Cleveland now the pitch he missed outside two balls no strikes suarez 25 homers 67 driven in as now this 200 pitch swung on and fights it off foul

one two and Lopez fouls that one there’s a real skill kind of what you’re hinting towards being able to to put guys away when you get ahead to two strikes a lot of guys can get to two strikes but have a a hard time getting that third one as the one-two pitch swung on and another lazy popup this one into shallow right mccarthy now coming in he’s got it two down a lot of it has to do with that is pitchers have their out pitch and the really elite pitchers have two out pitches and so when you constantly get ahead you can go to your you know one of your out pitches and get a guy and you have some pitches that all right well it’s you know it’s a good pitch but it’s not a swing and miss pitch and for when he gets ahead that high fast ball his has been really tough to hit augustine Ramirez with a healthy swing and miss count is nothing and one mel Kelly has a fantastic change up gallon’s got that great curve ball you know they all have you know good fast balls but there’s always a pitch that a pitcher has that is his go-to is a punch out pitch the one and that one too high bags and Marlins are tied at one dbags trying to win avoid the sweep and put an end to the Marlins sixgame winning streak that is now the 1-1 pitch swung on and missed guy who swings as hard as he does I have to imagine the more he’s up here the more he’s going to see fast balls like that in and up where it’s just hard to catch up to unless you’re cheating
yeah he’s going to have to make an adjustment no question about it soon as you get a couple of bats where you have trouble with that pitch boy it gets around real quick

a new pitcher for the Diamondbacks as we mentioned before is right-hander Ryan Thompson thompson on the season that continues to throw the ball so much better especially over the last month now has a two-2 record and a 475 ERA to be his 35th appearance he comes into the game Candy with a runner at first and one thing you brought up in the series opener on Friday Thompson that long sort of delivery to the plate almost a guarantee that Meyers is going to steal that’s a long delivery because he likes to you know throw at that low arm angle takes a while for that arm to get down there and we are going to see a pinch hitter as down of the game is catcher Nick Forez here is Jesus Sanchez and the first pitch is just inside does Alex McKay i’m not so sure i think good pitches can be good pitches and still be strikes look like a strike to me now the Dbacks have been handling Sanchez up in the top of the zone once again those high fast balls he’s been very vulnerable to those

and I’m guessing they don’t want to bring us in to face him to let Thompson do his thing try to get another ground ball and set first pitch and a breaking ball flutters in there for a strike guy with a ton of power at the plate here is the 01 noah throw to first and back safely onto Lopez now the pitch runner goes the throw to second and not in time and there’s safely Lopez another stolen base attempt and another successful steal for the Marlins it’ll be his ninth very very good throw by Herrera this time sitting up on the outside part of the plate gets the ball down there just maybe drifted a little too far you know towards the right field side but it looked like he beat it anyway and now this pitch outside it’s two and one very nerve-wracking for a manager when it just looks like your pitcher struggling to throw strikes the two-1 and that’s outside ball three nowhere close with that slider thompson’s lost it this inning

well the key is you know where he had trouble yesterday was you know getting the leadoff guy out i think that’s his main goal right now get this first guy out of the out that kind of sets up the inning for him
two balls no strikes that fast ball was high command has been a bit of an issue in the back half of this game for Diamondback pitching here’s the 200 from Peaks and that’s going to miss inside three balls no strikes not a great start no it looked like he was taken all the way also i mean Myers has some good speed you got to make him work his way on three 0 taken for a called strike all the way it’s now 3 and one now the 3-1 pitch and that missed low and inside ball four he walked them that’s now five walks in the last two plus innings
well the last three innings has been leadoff walks they’ve been able to pitch around let’s see if he can get a double play ball myers has been very aggressive on the bases and first pitch is too high connor Norby ball one can’t defend a walk two-1 got to get a ground ball here here’s the one pitch swinging a popup first base side that’ll fall out of play one ball one strike count double barrel action and the Marlin bullpen josh Simpson the lefty calvin Foch the righty starting to get loose as now the 1-1 is at the knees excellent pitch the count one and two now you can get him to chase the ball a little bit you don’t have to come over the heart of the plate take a shot at one of the edges one two swing and a foul rush to Heater in at 95 and we’ve seen a number of these right-handers when they go after that pitch a little bit in off the plate they get jammed it’s resulted in the weak ground ball left side one two swinging and a miss chased one out of the zone and a nice bounceback strike out for Beaks boy it sure was a change up well off the plate in fact it was even tailing away from Norby and hard to hit that ball where that was located and now here is Jesus Sanchez the left on left matchup that Tory Lavell was specifically hunting when he brought Peaks in throw over to first to check on the runner he’s back in there safely one on one out the Dbacks lead by one in the eighth and the pitch to Sanchez a strike fast ball outside edge the final phase of the 2025 Pro Spirit MLB Allstar ballot is now live make Catel Marte an All-Star by voting at MLB.com/vote beaks goes inside with a heater and Sanchez fouls it back nothing at two kenny it seems like after each pitch Beaks is looking at his pitching hand not really sure why he’s doing that but I imagine if he had a blister or something that could be one reason why you’re constantly looking down at your thumb or your finger he’s just threw balls out switch balls here’s the O2 and he bounced it oh what a block made by Herrera that was A+ and Meyers has to stay at first base

well he certainly did he had a pitch to hit there but he just overpowered him right down the middle maybe just a hair elevated but more seamer right by him and now two down for Liam Hicks another left-handed hitter the Becks have a two to one lead we’re in the top of the eighth and a step and a throw to first check on Meyers you could really see the value in that last at bat of Beaks holding on to one of his disengagements was Meyers just having a hard time really getting a good read on that delivery as this pitch too high and now it seems like Meyers rather than trying to steal is more trying to distract the pitcher and maybe chip away at his command and focus
yeah he’s not getting a good read on beaks at all 10 in the dirt two balls no strikes beak’s going to get a new baseball here little conversation now between Peaks and Alex McCay the home plate umpire seem pretty amiable yeah seems like they’re buddies were you ever buddies with an umpire later two and0 the count and another throw to first that’s the final disengagement well the Dbags might be inviting Meyers to try and steal takes an even more aggressive lead duo pitch and just too high

just feels like the Dbacks have not gotten too many borderline pitches today well that’s one of the reasons what you know you’re all over the place it’ll be a four pitch walk that basketball is high second walk issued this inning this is kind of remarkable the Marlins last base hit came with one out in the fifth inning and it was by Javier Senoha as pitching coach Brian Kaplan comes to the mount senoha going to be the man at the plate with runners at first and second since that single the Marlins have had seven base runners all of them with walks that’s incredible and another thing that’s incredible is that the Dbacks have prevented all of those walks up to this point from scoring oh baseball you seem to show us something new it seems like every day cory Lavell probably getting an ulcer right now watching the last two innings i was going to say he’s getting grayer by the second that’s not a managerial thing he can’t make these guys throw strikes no
he’s like the rest of us just hopes that these guys can find a way to come through you would think so a 239 hitter coming into play today one for two with a walk and the first pitch Beaks missed high again this is looking a little bit like how he started when he initially walked Meyers everything it seemed to be up and missing into right-handers myers at second Hicks at first the pitch in the dirt it’s now two balls no strikes there’s nobody up throwing in the bullpens the Dbacks they’re not even considering a potential four out save for Shelby Miller yeah this is all beaks here he missed with that one for ball three three balls no strikes to count you know you talked about the offense for the Marlins being contagious it feels like there’s a contagion right now running rampant through Diamondback pitching since the sixth inning three balls no strikes and here it is that right there high fast ball for a called strike of course was going to take it he might even take this pitch all the way i wouldn’t be surprised especially being the number nine hitter now the 3-1 and that’s taken for a strike quarterline pitch goes the way of the Dbacks and it’s a 3-2 count the advantage for the Marlins it will allow both runners to run here and a gap shot could easily give the Marlins the lead got to make a pitch the 3-2 and that was a foot short of home plate another walk it’s the second consecutive inning the Dbacks have issued three walks and now here comes one of the best hitters in this lineup for the Marlins Otto Lopez with the bases loaded
a lot of the pitches that he’s been spiking has been his change up doesn’t have a good feel for that one just get it out any old out will do here ryan Thompson tried to go two innings he threw 29 pitches 17 balls as the first one to Lopez is inside for ball one and now you got Jaylen Beaks sitting at 26 pitches he’s thrown 15 balls so two of your key relievers more balls than strikes 10 there’s a strike another high fast ball and that’s going to make it one and one

i believe that is John Curtis bases are loaded and now the 1-1 and I’m not sure what that was a change up two balls one strike that was about helmet high missed over the middle of the plate
yeah just having a difficult time with that pitch he’s almost just kind of become one pitched i mean one pitch that’s it the two-1 swung on and a base it into left field and the dam is finally broken meyers will score hicks trying to score behind him he does both runners take the extra 90 and now the Marlins lead it three to two with two outs in the eighth inning sooner or later the walks are going to get you and that’s what happened that ball wasn’t hit that hard but because of all the walks it’s just a little flare base hit it scores two but also when Guriela threw this ball home and missed his cut off man then Lopez is able to advance in the scoring position at second base also it’s a two-run single now here is Augustine Ramirez and the Dbacks there are going to intentionally walk Ramirez to load the bases and it’s going to force a lefton left matchup for Kyle Sters dangerous move but when you’re having trouble throwing strikes but Sters has got to be in a very aggressive mode right now with you know the bases juiced now Beaks isn’t a guy that’s got a big sweeping breaking ball like Bakas did it’s basically fast ball change up and he hasn’t shown the change

yeah it’s a good way to start your number nine hitter with a lacing base hit to right now you got the top of the order this is where you could do some damage don’t have to try and get it all back in one swing talked about it in the open the offense in the first two games look they put up big run totals eight runs and seven runs respectively and they did it in large part by racking hits together here’s now Purdomo the first pitch is too high one ball no strikes count so far today Purdomo is 0 for three perfect time to get that first knock as the one from Foscher is low two balls no strikes to count anything positive now for Purdomo a walk is just as good as a hit right now posches two pitch and that is going to miss 97 off the outer third three balls no strikes the Dbags they have been handing out walks like Halloween candy in this game and now they’re hoping the Marlins can do the same three 0 pitch taken all the way for a strike it’s now three and one
purdomo’s really one of the best at really being able to draw a walk probably taking this pitch he’s now set and the 3-1 inside oh that’s called a strike well it was there for Tommo trying to influence the calls a quick bat flip didn’t work one on nobody out and now time going to be called here had something in his eye it would seem the 3-2 pitch from Foscher and that is definitely ball four what an at bat by Purdomo he draws the walk now there are two on and nobody out and here is Catel Marte right guy up with a couple guys on base you couldn’t write this up any better and we are going to see a mound visit infielders only marlins with a six-2 lead they just hung five on the Dbacks in the eighth inning now the Dbacks looking to counter punch here yeah they’re off to a good start first and second nobody out this is where you need to avoid the ground ball you don’t have a ton of speed right now on the bases and Marte with a hamstring issues if he rolls over to the right it could very well be a 463 double play huge gap though in right center yeah they’ve been working him away o’shea ready the first pitch and Marte takes a fast ball downstairs one ball no strikes o’shea struggling to throw pitches in the zone 10 pitches six balls been a remarkable lack of command here today
it really has been a 10 there’s a swing and a bouncing ball to first just foul Wagaman he was all over it defending the line and Catel with an even one ball one strike count a nice wide open gap in right center for Catel see one shoot out that way one ball one strike and now Foscher he throws and nowhere close for that one way too high i mean that was three feet too high he’s got a great arm i mean it’s coming up there at 97 but not even close to the zone that time
two and one the count here’s the pitch catel bounces it to first it hits the bag and somehow finds the glove of Wagaman a fortuitous break for the Diamondbacks the ball bounced right at the very edge of the first base bag and quick reflexes wagamman knocked it down and took it to the bag himself oh that could have been a big break for the Dbacks i mean hits the top of the bag he barely gets his glove down in time baseball gods weren’t with the Dbacks on that one second and third a base sid would bring the Dbacks likely to within two here is Paven Smith with one out and the pitch to him is fouled back high fast ball the cow nothing and one you don’t really just want the sack fly right now you want a base hit you want to keep this thing going it seems like Foscher is going to stick with fast balls and it all comes down to whether or not Paven can get his timing down the 01 and that fast ball missed outside one ball and one strike herrera at third pommo at second six-2 Miami we’re in the eighth and now the 1-1 haven takes high again two balls one strike
well if you walk right here you got Gino on deck and he’s no stranger to grand slams
no he is not well Diamondback has ever had four grand slams in a single season here comes the two-1 pitch swung on towering pop up left side out of play and the count now two balls and two strikes two and two the count huge at bat for Paven and he come through in the clutch o’shea he throws and it’s off his glove it goes to the back stop herrera he’s going to score a wild pitch that brings home Herrera and moves Pernomo to third makes it a 6-3 ball game that was like a 7 foot high breaking ball that never broke i mean way upstairs and Herrera reads it perfectly he scores to keep the momentum three and two count the tying run on deck as the pitch is swung on and fouled amazing that he went to a cutter there and landed it for his strike i mean how many cutters has he thrown in this inning
i think that’s the only one I’ve seen
i agree a little shocking but he got it in there i have no idea what’s going to happen next i’ll call it a walk here’s the payoff swinging a miss swung at all four oh it was another cutter and this was nowhere near the strike zone pav kind of unlike Pave chase the ball out of the strike zone i mean it maybe started at the low inside corner but then the whole time was running further and further away from the strike zone but when the mind is made it’s hard to change here is Gino now first pitch swung on line drive left field that’s a base hit huge two out single by Suarez it brings home Peromo and the Dbags are back to within a couple very nicely done by Gina he just knew he was going to do something this at bat got a slider away maybe a cutter away and it’s a little base hit to left didn’t hit it real hard but he hit the perfect spot
