  1. I really feel bad for Harris tbh. Wasn’t expecting his game to fall off a cliff when he came over here and hopefully another team will pick him up and he can bounce back and continue his hockey career in the NHL.

  2. Best of luck to Harris.

Only silver lining here is that we got rid of 8.5mm in cap for 2 years and less locker room issues, which is all that matters, I guess.
What a disappointing end to what started as a really exciting trade for PLDiva.

The Laine we all saw in Winnipeg never materialized here and I personally wonder if he will put up numbers like that again

  3. Insane that we basically lost a 40 goal scorer for literally nothing just because he has the mental fortitude of a 5 year old

  4. We paid Colorado 2 picks and a B+ prospect for their cap dump. We added a 2nd rounder to give Laine to Montreal. Brutal.

  5. You win some you lose some. Sometimes you pick up Werenski’s next defensive pair off of waivers, sometimes you trade Brandon Saad for Panarin, other times you turn a 3 overall pick into Laine and then into a guy who you put on waivers.

  6. he was actually very good down the stretch when they put him with gudbranson, but clearly the org likes christiansen more so whatever

  7. Unrelated. Does anyone feel like the jackets are trying to get players traded here or FAs and they are just saying no? I feel like we’re trying to get pieces and everyone is saying no.
