The deal is a very good one. I was hoping anywhere between 5-6 million for him, without thinking about the cap going up.
With the cap going up, I saw someone put that after a couple years, % wise this will be equal to about 4.8 million in today’s terms which is a steal.
He’s 25 too which is huge. Most of his prime will take place on this contract.
Plus we all love Romy, most importantly so do the islanders players and especially Sorokin.

Wonder why no protection this year? Almost feels like he is more likely to be dealt at the trade deadline with that proviso assuming we are non competitive.
So half full NMC, and the 2nd half is modified. Sounds about right for those deals.
This is a player that actually deserves a NM/NTC. Let Darche Cook!

Such a terrible deal. Overpaying a replaceable guy.
