They traded a problematic WR to bring in a problematic DB. Who hates his new teammate. Meanwhile JT is getting shafted. Tomlin, a highly respected coach and individual, is done after this year
It wasn’t a single trade, that did this, it was just the whole off-season
I wouldn’t be shocked if Tomlin finally gets the boot after this season

None of these players are elite, but the Pickens-DK swap probably evens out in the end and I’d say Ramsey > Minkah just based on positional value.

DK Metcalf is absolutely better than Pickens, if you watched the Steelers you know this. You are talking about guy who caused trouble off the field as well. A guy who didn’t want to play because it was “too cold”, a guy would absolutely make some remarkable catches, but also when doing so, fumbled quite a bit as well.
Fitzpatrick was a ghost last year, I do see this trade with Ramsey fairly equal and trying to have these guys in different environments to get the most out of them- but they also got a decent TE and target in Jonnu Smith.
This trade made the Steelers a win better, so you can be looking at 11-6- is that enough to win the AFC North? Nope, but a good enough opportunity to put them in position to beat whoever comes out of the AFC South.
I’m gone if the Steelers had all pro RBs, WR and QB all on the same team. Oh wait.
