NHL Free Agency: 3 Hour LIVE Stream! Join the conversation starting at 10am.

Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Happy happy Canada Day everyone. Hope you’re doing well. Listen listen listen. When I was making this uh stream, getting ready for it, I was fully prepared from some for some shocking news. But nothing, absolutely nothing prepared me for what just broke. News just broke. That Brock Basser’s back, baby. 7.25 million times seven years. Yes, you heard that right. That is absolutely insane. How did we pull this off? I have so many questions, so many things to think about, so many um conversations to have. I’m pumped about today. We’re going three hours, three hours long on this Canada Day. If you’re watching this live, post your comments, your your questions here. We’re going to get to them. Also, just a reminder, I have a couple guests coming out and I am absolutely thrilled to have them. Uh Tyler from the the line change is going to be here at 10:30 a.m. and then at 11:30 I have Kucks and Uncensored joining us. This is going to be an action-packed day. I was saying to my wife this morning, she’s like, “What are you going to talk about for 3 hours? Are do I’m like, “Honey, I don’t think I have enough uh time. I could talk for six hours about all the things that are going on. There is so much happening in Vancouver. It’s absolutely bonkers, everyone. It’s absolutely bonkers. So, I am shocked by this news. And there’s also breaking as as it breaks down, I’m going to start putting actually I need to add one more. Did you guys know that the LA Kings just signed uh Corey Perry to a uh was it 3.25 million deal times one year? That is that’s wild. So, I’m calling these ones significant UFA signings. Okay. So, Vegas gets Mner, Florida gets Bennett and Marshon. Uh Vancouver lands Besser. The Kings get Corey Perry. And so, some of them are extensions, some of them are. So, as they come in, as they roll in, uh we’re going to be diving in. We’re going to be diving in. So, Coach Rob Willie is the first one in the building. Steuart Dixon or Steuart Dixon Stuart Baker uh is absolutely uh pumped about this this signing. Uh nobody saw this coming. Nobody saw this coming. We’re going to be talking about Demco. We’re going to be talking about Garland. We’re going to be talking about everything that’s happening in the NHL. So, welcome everyone. Welcome to the stream. It is absolutely stellar. So, if you’re watching this later, uh, please feel free to put a comment in as well. It’s great to have you here, whether you’re here live or later. Live or later. That that right, that’s good. Two L’s. Okay. So, I I’m pumped. I can’t believe that we we have Brock Besser coming back. It makes no sense. It’s also awesome. It’s weird. Literally last night I talked about I did made a video called and I should bring up this thing because I’m probably going to reference it to to it a number of times uh today is I literally did a video on Brock Besser last night called the Brock Be Oh, okay. I got to move off. Coach Rob, you sorry. You got to move off just for a second so you can see this banner better. Uh I just did this video last night. Brock or Brock Besser debacle and how the Canucks have just smashed this made this awful. I can’t believe that this has happened. I cannot I I thought he was walking. He All signs said he was walking. All signs, right? It was crazy. It’s absolutely crazy to think that Brock Besser is still with the Vancouver Conucks. So, I know I’m going to dive into this conversation with Tyler, with Kox Uncensored, but let me give you a few of my quick thoughts before they come on today. Okay, we still need a second line center. Okay, that’s just a reality. But getting Brock down to 7.25 25 million is I I can’t believe we got him from 8 million down and then and then on top of all of it we didn’t we broke on the fiveyear deal and now extended him for seven. So that is what shocks me the most about this this not that we got him for less not that we signed him but we signed him for seven years. He would not do 8* 7 but will do 7.25 million time 7. The logic is still the same those last two years on his contract. What is he going to do? Is he going to produce? Is he going to produce a high level? I am actually kind of concerned about this and also very thrilled at the same time. This makes not very much sense to me as a GM like putting on the GM cap. Okay. It doesn’t make sense to me, but as a fan, this is great news. As a fan, it I I it means Brock’s here for life. That That’s what it means. So, oh my goodness, this is this is honestly shocking shocking news. I I to say most of the fan base did not see this coming would be an understatement. I mean like who’s like only the girl the the fan girls, the Brock fan girls that are all in there. Oh, Brock and his hair, you know, they’ll be like, “I knew it. He was always my man.” It’s like, girls, you don’t have a shot. Sorry. Sorry. Don’t start to bust your bubble on Canada Day. Oh my goodness. They’re the only ones. They’re the only ones. I still believe. It’s like, “No, he’s not coming back.” Well, these ladies are right. Apparently these ladies are right. So I cannot believe that Brock Besser is back 7.25 million times seven years. What a turn of events everyone. So that means there’s who else are we going to sign? Like nobody. We have no money. And and can we even afford that? I thought we only had $7 million. Let let’s let’s see what happens here when we do this. I We’re under the cap, right? Oh, we only have $500,000. $556,000 everyone. That’s That’s what we’re at. Okay, we we just I want to show you this. Let’s just go do the whole Puckedia thing right now. Like this. Oh my goodness. Okay. So, you got So, at the top here in green, as you can see, right, you’ve got you’ve got um you’ve got the $556,667 remaining in our current cap. My guess is we’re going to be making some trades. That’s my guess. Um, Demco signs for 8.5 uh times 3 years. Brock 7.25 time 7. Garland gets 6 million at 6 years. We got Baines on a 2-year deal. Uh, Breeze on a one-year deal. And there’s more. There’s more. Where are the rest? All transactions. Uh, where did it go? Okay, they’re not showing them all. Let’s go back. Okay, let’s go back. Okay. Uh, yeah. So, this is what the team looks like, everyone. This is what the team looks like. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. I am completely surprised by this. Did Did not see this coming ever. This was not on the radar. Say goodbye to PSUR. I mean, what are we gonna do at center everyone? Okay, well, I’ve got some ideas. We’ll be talking about them now. I need to start making graphics for this for the show now that this has happened. But th this is absolutely wild. What just happened? Wow. And it is so hot here in my office. This is crazy. Okay, this is absolutely crazy. So, uh, good thing I have my H2O today. Got always got to stay hydrated when you’re streaming. Okay. I I feel like I need to talk like the guys that are going to come on. They’re going to want to talk about the Conucks. So, I need to talk a little bit about the other signings. Okay. So, uh, as you can tell, there’s monster deals that are happening and and I’m getting messages like you wouldn’t believe cuz I don’t have time to look right now, but Oh, uh, the Flyers just signed the backup for the Flames. Uh, is it Vladar? Vladar, Vladar, Vladar? I don’t know. That’s how I say it. I don’t know. That That’s crazy to me. Um, Gerv Gervikov just signed $7 million to the Rangers and the Rangers only have $6.1 million in projected cap space. What? Say what? So, Garvichev was isn’t Yeah, he was uh Gav Gavricov. No, Gavricov. Sorry, because I’m going to butcher this name. This is nuts. Seven years, 7 million. Wow. Did not see that coming either. And I can’t even pronounce the name. So, Nol Jules signed for one year, $950,000 with the Philadelphia Flyers. That’s a great move, I think, for um not only the Flyers to have depth, but Rick Tocket loves him. Loves him. Um so, wow. I don’t know. like s uh Steve Dangle podcast network just said seven years seven more years of Brock Besser and Adam Wy who is oh CEO head of content partnerships he said this this deal is straight up awesome Vancouver should be thrilled just signed with the New Jersey Devils a 4-year $3 million contract everyone this this is I know This is not breaking news, but he is good buddies with with Conor uh McDavid, right? So, four years, $3 million with the Devils. That is so interesting. So interesting. Um and then, uh Janat gets signed up with the Boston Bruins. I don’t know the the contract numbers. Some of the hockey hockey sports podcast that I follow on Twitter says, “Are we all 100% sure the Oilers are going to make the playoffs next year?” I mean, what? Losing Perry and Brown and Kane. Huh. Yeah, it’s a good question. Nick Cousins signed a one-year deal with the Senators. Wow, there’s a lot there’s a lot going on. Forever a kuck, man. Forever a kak. I wonder if I can post this. Um, I wonder if I can post my Twitter feed right now as I’m going down. Can I do that on here? How do I do that? Slides, video, share screen. Can I share screen? Like, I want to do it in um, so it’s like me on one side and the person on the other. Like, what is this? What’s this do? Uh, nope. That’s not it. Okay, sorry. I shouldn’t be doing this on the fly. Um, I I’m shocked. Okay, I need to get some comments here because all you guys and girls that are here, is this great? This is great. Um, Garland and Demco extended as expected. Is this all the Canucks are doing? Alfred says there has to be a trade. No, because Brock Besser is staying in Vancouver just like Carol has reported. This is so many people are are happy with this news. Um I don’t think Vancouver is going to sign anyone else. Um but but in saying that, hey Philip, good to see you. We have no cap space left. Um Big Hog Hockey is absolutely pumped. Um the Beer Baron is pumped about Brock Besser. What a day to start the What a way to start the day. Absolutely. Um, cousin Vinnie is in the building. This is awesome. Man alive. Man alive. This is crazy. Big Hog says the the Oilers are absolutely cooked. Lost Ironson, Perry, and Brown. They can’t and Kane and they can’t even get their goalie. So, they’re cooked. Yeah, Demco signing with Vancouver. All the I All my Oiler friends were like, “You we should go get Demco.” It’s like, “We’re not trading Demco to you. You’re crazy.” A lot of people are glad we didn’t lose Besser. Uh Bradley’s in the building. Good to see you. Uh cousin Vinnie, no oiler talk here because please, they suck. Vancouver always rocks. Let’s go. Uh Justin, why are we running this back? I just don’t understand. Wasn’t last year painful enough. I thought we want changes. I think we tried. I think we tried, honestly. And uh we were like, well, what are we going to do? What’s this team going to look like without a scoring right winger? You’re right, though. And it’s like we ran out of money. It’s like we ran out of money. So, um yeah, this is crazy. Uh Perry’s going to lose the his his next cup final to LA Kings. Book it. Mark’s in the building. Good to see you. Uh Shannon here says Shannon’s here. So, Shannon, good to see if you’re here. Um, yeah, he he’s he signed $3.4 million contract with the Bruins. He’s not worth that. He made 2.1, I believe, last year. So, yeah, Demco has barely played in the last two years and Brock has no one to play with. I know that that’s true. It’s not over. Listen, Justin, and all Canucks fans, listen to me right now. It is it is July 1st. There’s a lot of time between now and the start of the season to make something happen that the trade rumors are going to be start flying now. This is going to be absolutely insane. But Prince Charming is back. Absolutely. Um, yeah. So, oh, Shannon is on the way. Okay, sounds good. Uh, oh, Alvine is cooking. Chef Cook Alvine that I’m still Can can you s if you smell what the chef Alvine is cooking? Okay, Kelly’s here. Gave gave Brock a goodbye ovation just to resign him for that tea that term. I know. I know. It doesn’t make sense. It doesn’t make sense. Bring back Bennett. What are we doing here? What’s the plan? Just stay. I think there’s a plan. They’re trying to do it. They they had they I think we’re on plan D or plan E. That’s honest. My honest take on that. Beer Baron likes that. Uh I’m calling it Meow Florida uh versus LA King Stanley Cup. I I think there is going to be a trade happening. We are now Cap Crunch. We have to make some kind of deal. Um, Carol’s very happy and everything did not everyone else didn’t get him, right? Uh, Beer Baron says, “The funny thing is the the best person to clear up uh for Capace is Evander Kane.” Wow. Uh, guess Yeah, we’re losing Sudter now. No, he’s Suitor’s Sun Sooner. Sudter is a goner. Absolutely. Uh, Rod is excited about the Demco signing. Uh, I agree. Healthy Demco equals playoffs. Let’s go. Let’s keep the hope alive. Quinn Hughes as second line center as per Jim Rutherford. Okay, that’s awesome, man. That’s awesome. Uh, oh yeah, I I’ve got a I’ve got some pop show. I don’t know if how many I have left actually, Rob. I’ll have to check it out. Trade Lankanm bring up Arty. Um, I’m okay with that. I’m okay with that. Didn’t they try to convert uh Huggy to center? Oh, I don’t think so. I saw Stan Kovven at the golf course here in Cam Loose yesterday. That’s cool. That’s cool. Demco coming back, baby. We are set and goal and our defense is set. All we need is another center for cheap. Jieven is in the building. Good to see you. Yes, we still need a second line center for sure. Um, imagine we lost Besser to the Oilers. I I can’t imagine that. Tyson, just woke up. Let’s go, Besser. Yes, absolutely, Tyson. I am pumped. I am pumped. I don’t know if I did I text that to our family. Um, let’s see. Let’s see. I messaged so many people this morning. Uh, I’m pull my Did I I I must Did I text? No, I didn’t text our family. Uh, if I even have a textar family, they wouldn’t they wouldn’t get it. Um, they wouldn’t get it. Uh, Nick Cousins’s not related to me. I love it. I love it, man. Okay. Um, I got to figure out a way how to put this feed. I wonder if I can do this. Share screen. Okay. H. Uh, I’m just going to I’m going to refresh. Refresh. Wow. Okay, I want to show you guys this. This This is interesting. This is really interesting. Okay. Uh, Big Head Hockey posted this. Kuck lines next season. Evander Kane, Patterson, Besser on the top line with the Brusk, Heedle, Garland, Joshua, Beluger, Sherwood, Holander, Ratu, and Connor O’ Conor. I actually don’t mind that, guys. I actually don’t mind that as long as Heedle can stay healthy. I don’t love Heedle as our second line center, but that’s probably why they traded for him. I hope we still go get [ __ ] from the New York Rangers make a trade there. Then it’s Hughes, Cerronic, Peter, uh, DPD. No, what? Oh, no. Marcus Patterson and Meyers, DPD, and Vlander. Demco, Lankan, and Xers are Leer Macki, Manchini. Uh, the Canucks back. I’m I’m reposting this right here. This is This is This is I’m gonna say actually this is not as bad as I thought it would be. Playoffs, baby. That’s what I’m going to say. No, I just said Brock’s back, baby. Isn’t that what I said? uh playoffs. Uh let’s just do let’s do question mark like this and then say 100%. Okay. And then believe all capitals everyone believe in blue. Let’s go. Let’s go. Okay. Let’s do it. Let’s do it. Okay. This is too good. Go connect go. And I’ll just put that as the thing right here. Okay, here we go. Uh, we’ll do we’ll do it this way. This make it look a little cooler. Done. Done. Done. Done. This is awesome. This is awesome. Okay. Signed. Okay. Got to got to stop sharing this. But of course, I have uh cousin Vinnie’s comment still there. for the whole stinking tire. And why doesn’t it default to this? That’s what I want to know. Oh my goodness, guys. That is that is something. Hey, that is something. Okay, let’s go home. Let’s go home. Look at this. Look at this. This is beautiful. Now the notifications are coming in. Here we go. Oh, Joe is already liked it. Big Hog has already liked it. Let’s go. Okay. My voice cracked there, I think. Let’s go. Okay. Anything? Oh, hot take. Hot take hockey is on the bleacher report. Are you kidding? Well done, buddy. Good job. Was Frank Cavelli. Hey, look at the big board. Brock Besser’s gone. He’s in Vancouver. Look at all these other guys. This is nuts. Okay, happy Canada Day for us. Everyone, look at this. Oh, I should I shouldn’t have the sound on or else they’ll probably flag me for it. Remember this goal. 12 seconds, 10 seconds. Shoots. Got it. Let’s go. Oh, this is awesome. This is awesome. Okay, this is so dumb that they always use these sensitive This is sensitive content. Love this gun, man. Tommy, love it. Love it. Okay, there’s not lots going on there, but man, I am still in shock. Absolutely in shock, everyone. How did we pull this off? Okay. Oh my goodness. That was a Oh, Dell says overpaid for Demco. No injury discount. Yeah, the injury discount Dell is three years getting paid hellbuck money. Uh well, everyone’s going to get paid more than hellbuck coming up. So, cap’s going up. Yeah, you Tyler, we’ll talk about this when you’re on, man. Tyson says they only ha they have to trade for a center where they trade uh money out now. Uh good thing they didn’t sign one because prices are nuts. D’Vorak got 5 million. Right. Right. Oiler fans were all hyped for Brock and Demco. Now they’re acting like they never wanted them. Exactly. Fitness king says they better not trade Sheila or I’m going to the GM office and raising hell. You know what it it’s almost they are going to trade him because if you don’t you lose him in in uh on uh waiverss. So yeah. Yeah. And unfortunately happy EP 40day not. He is he is uh the Vancouver Conucks did what they did. Guys, this is it’s kind of sad if you ask me, isn’t it? Kind of sad if you ask me. I mean, it’s like this is the opportunity we had, but you know what? If if he bounces back, I I’m I’m honestly happy with this deal. Um I’m not surprised they didn’t trade him at this stage. Uh last week has been nothing really to to to report on. So, uh we’re we’re quote unquote stuck with with EP40 and good, the bad, the ugly. Hopefully, uh we win a cup with EP40. That’s my hope. Ah, Shannon, you are here. I like Kane coming to Canucks and the 15th pick player, Coots. Uh, sorry, don’t know how to spell his name. It’s C O Ts. Coots. Coots was the player. That’s right. Okay. Um, I’m not going to do your comments, uh, Tyler, just because, um, I’m going to talk to you about these things. So, uh, Monty says, “Not happy with Besser and Demco signings. Garland is great. Trey Demco is now likely and an impossibility. Uh, he is a great goalie. When healthy, never healthy when it matters. Besser is overpaid.” Wow. I wouldn’t say he’s overpaid. I just think the term is long. V bold. You can stay if you like it or don’t like it. You’re well. Anyone’s welcome to say whatever they want here about the Canucks as long as it’s with in good taste. Uh Elfren, do you think all the signings we’ve made so far have would be enough to keep Quinn Hughes happy, increase his chance? Yes. Yes, I do. But uh you know what’s going to help him by winning this year? Like winning games? That’s going to do it. So uh why did the Conucks sign Demco? Um, do we have money for it if if he’s injured this season? He’s not injured. That that that’s what it’s saying. Okay, let me just uh can we get a refund of GMCO? Yes. Yes, if he gets injured. Yep. Uh, I know where the customer service desk is to take refunds back. Okay, Shannon, great questions. Let me just quickly answer them. Uh, we did have the money. He was injured last year. They are declaring by signing him that he is healthy and they’re excited and he’s ready to go. Can we get a refund for Demco against injured? Yes, he can put on LT IIR. And that’s what the probably the plan is if he can’t go. So, okay. Carol says nine change line change. What do you think uh of the best year? Okay, he’s going to be on in second. Um I don’t think Besser is overpaid. I think it’s a good contract. I just don’t think he plays well without a playmaking center. That’s a great po point. These aren’t moves. These aren’t good moves to keep Quinn. I don’t I I don’t know. Uh Big Hog Sammy Blaze is not coming back. They let him go. So, I mean, I hope he comes back, but I think he’ll go to somewhere else. Um okay, it’s Blade, not Blaze. Sorry. Uh, I wonder who will sign it is I I I don’t know who that is. Winning will keep Hughes in Vancouver. Absolutely. Would you want Rossi or Granlin? Yes. Yes. Absolutely. Absolutely. Uh, if you get either, I would go Rossi. Um, that’s that’s true for me. Um, gotta be next. Gotta be Sherwood. What do you mean? Kak era Sherwood that he’s going to be gone or signed. Resigned. They’re going to resign him. Simon, good to see you. Happy candidate to you as well. Um, what time are we at? Oh, we’re at 10:30. I got to get I got to get uh I got two more. No, Jason, thank you for your service. Canuck joining Talket in Philly. That’s right, Steve. Okay, I got to bring on our latest guest, our uh first guest, the uh guest extravinaire. Okay, I don’t know how do I gonna how am I going to introduce you, Tyler? Um the greatest line change podcast in the history of podcasts. Tyler, welcome to the stream. I don’t know if that was good enough or not.
Oh, that was perfect, man. That was perfect. All right. How you doing today? Uh, I can barely talk. Like, I’m still shocked. That was like what the best stuff was like an hour ago. I mean, I’m already what, five videos deep and it’s not even 11:00.
Wow.
I haven’t I haven’t slept. Since when? Yesterday.
Yeah. Yeah. I I didn’t sleep. I’ve been up all night trying to get things ready. I mean, this is my first uh July 1 since I started the channel, so I’m I was hyped for it. I want to get a bunch of graphic stuff done for it, and I’ve been up all night doing that. And then I figured uh I’ll do that uh Brockbuster Goodbye video. And uh Jinx, they signed him. So,
And when did you release that video? Was that yesterday? I think it was I want to say maybe just after 7 a.m.
this morning.
Yeah, this morning.
Oh, that’s why I haven’t seen it. I was watching your other one.
Uh I can’t remember which one it was now.
Oh, the uh best
Oh, the Kyu one. I was watching that one this morning.
Yeah. Well, I’m glad to have you here. Okay. I I need to hear your thoughts on Brock Besser Demco Garland. go. I want to hear what you have to say about these.
I’ll start with Garland. Um I’m hyped for Garland. You know, I obviously we knew about it what within the last week that it was leaning towards that. Um I was like, yes, do it. I absolutely love Garland. I was a little surprised by the six time six. Um but at the same time, you know, lock them up. You know, Garland’s a leader and definitely pleased with that. Um, Demco I’m okay with. Obviously, I love Demco too, but obviously there’s that spec, you know, not speculation, but you know, hesitance because of his injuries.
Y
um I did think eight, what 8.5 was a little steep. Like I was not expecting that.
No,
I was actually expecting more term. Uh so I’m I’m happy with three years for sure. I’m I’m I’m okay with that. But the money I was like, yikes, that may not age well, but at the same time, if he’s healthy, that’s a steal right there. And it puts him in the top four highest paid goalies as well. It’s wild to think about, right?
Yeah. Like, okay, so from a production standpoint, um, it doesn’t really make a lot of sense, right? Mhm.
Because if he’s if he’s he’s had one Vzna Trophy candidate year, he’s had a few glimpses of amazingness. Like, don’t get me wrong, I love him, but like 8.5 million for the production level is surprising to me. But is that surprising to you? Because I don’t know. I get why. Like, I totally totally get why. Um, but it’s it’s wild, don’t you think?
Oh, yeah. Absolutely. Like I when they initially started talking about like, oh, there’s going to be an extension, I thought they were going to start at maybe little like maybe a little after five, six, like, but I did not expect 8.5. When I saw 8.5, I was like, whoa. like that is I don’t want to call it an overpay because if if that’s healthy like non papius injury demco that is right in his you know wheelhouse.
Yeah.
But because the injury it’s like eh you know what if he gets hurt um you’re going to have to deal with that for the next three years. But they do have that safety blanket in both seaw and blankin. Although now I think this basically means COVID is being traded. Um
yeah, you’re probably right.
Yeah. And Lankinan has his no move clause kicked in as of today. Um and then Demco has a no move clause starting next year. So and I doubt they would trade Demco after signing him to this. So,
yeah. I mean, maybe if you get a smoking deal, but like how do you how do you pull this off, right?
Yeah. I think I saw um who was it? I think it was Cam Robinson sent out a tweet earlier this morning saying first off, the Canucks are now tied up 13 million in their goalies between Lanken and uh Demco. And then he also sent out a tweet about um between Garland, uh Demco, and Lanken. That’s 20 million right there. Just those three. And then Florida has that type of money with Marian, Eblad, and I forget the third person. I mean, he’s not wrong.
Yeah. I saw that tweet and I was like, “Wow.” Like we paid the same amount of money that Florida paid for those three for Garland, Demco, and just Lanken just alone,
right?
I thought that was interesting.
Yeah. And it shows where the two different franchises are at, right?
Yeah. Yeah. Uh Alfred’s right. I believe it was Bennett. Yeah,
it was Bennett.
It was the third along with Marian and
Yeah. Yeah. Bennett, Marant, and uh Eblad. That’s crazy. That’s crazy.
Yeah, that that Marshian contract blows my mind.
It It It’s totally shocking to me, too.
Yeah, I saw that at work yesterday and I was like, “Huh?” Like Like
why would they do that?
Money? Sure. Six years? Like he’s going to be 43 when when that contract’s down?
Is he going to even still be playing at 43?
It doesn’t make sense. It doesn’t make sense.
But, okay, it does make sense. Like, well, it is what it is. You know what I mean? And so, like, we’re gonna we’re going to be fine, you know? We’re gonna we’re gonna like one of the guys said, “Oh, well, they’ll just buy him out and year three, but you’re going to buy out like six million for three years.”
That’s bad business, isn’t it?
But then here’s the other thing, Kyler. This is actually the one that I keep thinking whenever I say that statement in my mind, it always comes up and goes like this. goes, “But if they win two more cups, who cares?” Great point. Very good point.
What What if they win three more cups? Even if they win one more cup by signing him, it’s like you you’re considered a dynasty now.
You know what I mean? Like, you might have already been considered a dynasty before this started. I don’t know. It’s wild to me, man.
Alvin’s got a good point. He brings up Jogger. So, I guess that’s a good comparison there. He did. Where? Oh, where we are.
Oh, yeah. I mean, is he gonna is he going to honestly uh
play that? I guess he is. I guess he is. And And I made that video a while ago. I remember I don’t know if you watched that one, but it’s the the one about age doesn’t matter anymore. Yeah. Yeah, I saw that one. Yeah.
And that that one is I mean, apparently that’s that’s the case. So, Well, clearly Maran really liked it in Florida. And uh I think I’ve seen some is it comments or tweets? I forget where, but something about DQ. Apparently, he really likes DQ in Florida.
Yes. Yes.
So,
that is so funny, man. DQ. Well, I I I mean, it tastes good, so what are you gonna say?
Yeah. Yeah. I can’t argue with that. Uh, betting players still sticking around, Angelo says. What do you think about that, Tyler? Um, I don’t know. I’m was not the biggest benning guy, but hey, he he brought in Besser, the likes of Besser and whatnot. So, okay. Hey, at least he did something, right? Bringing in Besser, drafting him. So,
yeah. Oh, for sure. For sure. I I I agree. I agree. Um he he did actually what’s crazy is he did a lot more good things than we realize, but he the bad ones stick out. So like the OEL one was awful, but it’s we got kept Garland.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That’s what I keep saying about the OEL deal is yes. It sucks that we’re paying that right now,
but hey, we got Garland out of it. So
yeah, exactly. Okay. Okay. I’m not liking this backdrop on the here that I’ve made. So, I’m I just made a new one while we’re sitting here. Let’s see if this works. Does that look better? No. Yeah,
it’s okay. Okay. So, sorry. I I those things matter to me. I don’t know why. Um but so wait a minute. Roland says you can’t buy out contracts for 35 year old players. Is that true? I don’t I don’t think that’s true. H um okay, wait a minute. Alfred says ice cream from DQ is the best. Now I I think that that it’s good. Okay, but it’s not great. It’s not great. What’s that place that you you can go and you can put all the toppings on and it’s like it’s got real ice cream. Dairy Queen, I don’t think has real ice cream. It’s like iced ice cream or whatever. It’s like whatever that stuff is. It’s uh my family knows. We used to always go there.
Huh? Menches.
No, it’s Anyways, I I’ll I’m going to text my family. They’ll they’ll tell me. All right. So, um Anyways, so what do you think? Would would Gary Queen be in your top three, Tyler?
Um yeah. Yeah. I mean, I’m not really a big fan of the McDonald’s ice cream. Not that I really go to McDonald’s to get ice cream. Um but
but is Yeah. But there actually I wouldn’t even put McDonald’s ice cream in my top three. Um but there is a Dairy Queen just down the street from me. So um
yeah, it’s good. I mean I’m not a huge ice cream uh cake fan, but my family loves it. So
So yeah.
Yeah. If I’m if I’m going to go to DQ, I’m going to go for the for the ice cream cakes over.
It’s not It’s not BaskinRobins. It’s not there. Even though that’s good. That’s good. Don’t get me wrong. That’s probably in my top three. Um, I just texted my wife. She’ll get back to me hopefully. Actually, unless she’s just not looking at her phone. It is a hot day today. I don’t know about you, but I am overheating in my I’m This is where it’s usually really cold. Like, I’m so freezing and I’m like, man, this is crazy. Is it hot where? Like, is it hot in your room there?
Uh, not in this room right now. I have a fan blowing, but uh yesterday when I
Marble Slab, boom, Coach Rob Willie, sorry, my bad. Marble Slab, the greatest ice cream place ever. Yeah. Just texted me. Marble Slab. Marble.
Yeah. Yeah. When I got home from work yesterday, I was absolutely drenched. So,
yeah. And did you just work an eight hour? Uh, eight and a half almost nine technically.
Um,
yeah, it was hot yesterday. It was awesome.
I guess summer’s here.
Yeah, Darren Dreger just tweeted something four minutes ago about Bum. Uh, basically saying things are percolating around uh, Bum. Trade conversations are happening with Calgary, Vegas, LA, and St. Louis.
Wow. For Byum. And then a offer sheet is being contemplated for by Kucks Digest just messaged me and said, “Tidy work from Alvine and Jim so far today. Very happy with what’s happening.” And I said, “Who’s our second line center?” Well, you can rule one guy off and that’s Nick Buchad just signed with the St. Louis Blues,
right,
on a two-year deal.
Is that Do you think that’s breaking news? You think that’s a significant like that? I’m glad to know it. Don’t get me wrong, but on my banner on the bottom says significant UFA signings. Wh which ones are worthy to put on that banner? That’s what I want to know. But but that’s good news to know. I’m Thank Thank you for sharing that with me. Honestly, like Ethan Bear is signing with the Islanders on a two-way contract is another thing. So there’s a lot going on. I I want to know what Sorry. Sorry. Did you say his eers that signed?
No, it was uh Buchad a centerman. Someone that we could have that we were possibly looking at.
Yeah. As an option. Uh it says here that uh Nikolai Eers believe the Canes, Capitals, and Lightning are among the teams uh in on him right now. He’s doing his due diligence today, which is smart. Absolutely smart.
Hey, what do you think I Here’s the question for the day, Tyler. If if uh Brock didn’t resign, but we signed Eers, do you think the fan base would be happier or or or saying why didn’t we just sign Brock?
Um I don’t know about happier, but I would think they would be happy. You know, obviously we were talking a lot about Eers um a while back. You know, I know it got pretty quiet on the ERS front, at least when it comes to the Kucks, but yeah, I I think a lot of people um thought Eers was a bit of an upgrade from Basser. Um despite his, you know, him being a little bit injuryprone himself, but I think a lot of people were saying like he’s faster than Besser. Um he scores a little more than Besser does, too. So I think they they would have been satisfied with uh eers. Um Sensei Dean says, “How much cap space do we have now?” We have, according to Puckedia, we have 500 thou just over 550,000. That’s it. I don’t know how that works because we just gave uh Brock an extension, but um Oh, no. I guess that makes sense because No, we only had 7 million. Yeah. Okay. Yeah, that that’s what it Yeah. So, it’s right. It’s right. Uh, Bing Tang Warrior, good to see you, by the way. Uh, what’s the future of for Bluger and Joshua? There’s 6 million right there. There’s a lot of rumors out there right now that Joshua’s on the trade block. Not sure how if it’s just a rumor or a report, but I think the Conucks do got to move out some kind of money somewhere. So, we’ll have to see. What do you think, Tyler?
Yeah. Um well yeah I heard that rumor about um Joshua being the player that the Canucks offered to the Wild for Rossi.
It wasn’t confirmed. It was just a rumor that uh actually I believe it was Whitten told me about that and I thought that was interesting. I was like they said no to Joshua. Um little surprised by that but I guess they want somebody who’s maybe a center uh maybe a top six center for Rossi. Um, speaking of Rossy, I did me jokingly mention obviously we still need that 2C, which brings me back to Rossi. What if we traded Kane for Rossi? They want a roster player, but he I know he’s not a center, but Garren wants a roster player.
You mean Ander Kane that we just signed?
Yeah. I mean, I would do that.
Yeah. Trade Kane for Marco Rossi. You got your 2C and you can be done. Yeah. So, okay. It makes sense. It makes sense, but there’s no way the Wild are going to do that.
No.
With his age and he’s got one year left on his deal. You think they’ll do that?
No. No. I It was just a little
just an idea.
Yeah. Spitball that I thought of.
Yeah, that’s fine. That’s fine. Uh, Kellum, which you might be right, Kellum Heedel is our 2C until we make a mid-season hockey trade if we are good enough. That’s a great thing. Japan 4 seems to be a little upset. Aline should get fired now.
Um, you know what? This kind of comment, these kind of comments are honestly going to be getting more and more traction if we don’t have success in the future here at present in the present and then in the future for sure. Uh, Michael says, “I really want to see how health how a healthy Joshua will come back this year. Would be a shame if they traded him.” Yes. Yes. Unless you can upgrade, then see you later. Like, it’s it’s the business of sports, right?
Mhm. Uh, 2C Kevin says they signed Ratchu for two years. That kid is is better than Horvat on faceoffs. Okay. But is he better than But is he at Horvat’s level for the rest of his game? because that’s that’s like Horvat is the classic second line center, right? That’s what every team is looking for a Horvat, right? So, I don’t know if Ratu is there yet, but I mean that’s why he got drafted high though, Tyler, right?
Ratu is was was supposed to be a second line center. Can you imagine? Could you see him developing in into that role like or is it only a 3C guy for in your mind? Um, I could see that be like his ceiling being being a a 2C like like eventually maybe in a few years he could get to that. But I’m not quite sure if he, you know, will or not. But I do think that is his ceiling for for Ratu. I think I even said that a while ago that he could possibly down the line eventually become a second line center maybe further along in his career depending on if you know he produces he could even maybe even be may not necessarily on the Canucks but a firstline center like five maybe six years from now. Wow. Yeah. Um, apparently Connor Garland just said, “We are not surprised at all seeing Brock resign today. We are all in touch with him the last few days.” Wow, that’s cool. I love that. The the teammates getting in there. Come on, man. Come back. We need you. Uhoh. Jacob Doodle is going to be upset. Anthony Mantha reportedly signing with the Penguins.
That would have been nice to have his size. E Tyler. Yeah. Yeah. I was actually kind of looking at him, you know, before all this Besser stuff happened. I was like, Anthony Mena, he’s a big tough guy. We need more toughness. No, we can’t just have one tough guy in Evander Kane. Need, you know, at least maybe three or four. But that’s I’m surprised he’s going to the Penguins. I am too, man. I am too. Oh, I guess that was probably because of money, right?
Like, this is your chance to make your money. You You haven’t made a ton of money in the NHL yet. Like, you I don’t know. Maybe he’s made more than I think. Maybe I should bring that up. Um cuz what is he Pittsburgh? Oh, it’s not a done deal yet, so I can’t What is he Detroit? He’s on Detroit currently.
Who? Mana. He was with Calgary. No, not this year. is with Calgary. Yeah.
What? Let me just see that. Yeah, he was with Calgary. Man, you’re so smart. That’s why you’re here.
Yeah. I mean, gotta keep me in line. Okay.
I’m just doom scrolling right now. So, doom scrolling. Uh oh. There’s lots of doom. Okay. So it says his current contract is 3.5 million. So Oh, he’s made a lot of money. He made 7 5.7 million for one, two, three, four, five, six seasons, Golden Knights, Capitals, Red Wings, and then he ressigned with the Red Wings or he had okay that sorry, his contract went 863,000 for three years. entry level. Then he got paid by Detroit 3.3 for two years. Then jumped to 5.7 with Detroit and that’s the extension that went 1, two, three, four, five, six years and then he made 3.5 with Calgary. He has made a lot of money. He has made a lot of money. Okay. All right. So people are mad at Japan for Okay. Japan for Listen, I I I like that you you said that. Okay. Uh, lefty all around says, uh, Besser looks like he’s already lost half a step, and that means he’ll be even slower going forward. That’s that’s that’s possible. Callum says, “Go someplace and get happy.” Okay. Uh, let let me see. Let’s see here. We got other ones. Shannon’s asking him, “What’s he smoking?” He doesn’t No, he shouldn’t be smoking anything. No happy pills. Okay, Shannon. But here’s the thing. Here’s the thing. Dell comes in to save the day. He says, “Japan 4, I agree with you. Trading Miller, keeping EPA 40 is a fireball offense.” That is actually a legitimate comment, but you know me, I’m a JT Miller fan. Uh I believe you are as well.
Um but uh may maybe that’s that’s the thing, right? And Japan for 100%. Okay, let’s see. Kevin says this, Tyler, uh, without JT, we got Kane, Sherwood, and perhaps even Blle. Uh, but if someone gets Yeah, I don’t know. I don’t know. I don’t think they’re bringing him back. So, um, Gox offered our first and a young guy, but Bill Garin wanted a roster player. Yeah, that’s surprising, huh? And we didn’t get Rossy. Uh, Bla just signed with Montreal.
Dang it. on a one-way contract. Yeah.
Oh my goodness.
I’m pretty upset about that myself as I really want to play on this Canucks team after that Abbey playoff run.
Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely. And also big hog hockey is also breaking news right now too. That’s great for for BL. But uh but Michael is trying to bring us back to reality. Sammy Blle isn’t a unicorn. they can find another guy like him. But what did he sign for though? That’s what I want to know. That’s what I want to know. But why would he
doesn’t say money, it just says one way. And uh Montreal apparently signed Kappo Kakinan, the goalie the Abbottzford would beat in the finals. Yeah.
So now Sammy Blake and Kacan are on the same team. Yeah.
Just wow. Okay. So, okay. Going back to the Alvine conversation. Okay. He’s sitting there and he’s saying, “Kuck fans, at the trade deadline, if you saw what I got offered for Brock Besser, you would have ran me out of town.” Ran me out of town. So, he says, “No, we’re going to stick with them. Maybe maybe our owner says, “No, let’s try to make the playoffs. Let’s go. We need to try. We need to put our best foot forward. Try our best. We ran into injuries. Couldn’t pull it off. You know what I’m saying? So, so hindsight 2020, if you would have said to me after the trade deadline, don’t worry, he’s resigning with Vancouver. Then I would I wouldn’t have been upset. But because he was walking, I was upset. What’s What’s your thoughts now? hindsight 2020, all the drama, what what Alvine said, do do you just wish that we had moved on from him and and just went another direction or do you are you happy that he’s back?
Um, well, I’m definitely happy he’s back. Um, but obviously I was under under the impression he was as good as gone.
Yeah. Or else I wouldn’t have put out that video earlier this morning. Um,
I’m I’m going to watch the video all the way through just so you get another view. Okay, I appreciate that. Um, yeah. No, I I’m happy about the signing. Um, but yeah, with Albian’s comments, I I think I posted this in the chat. What if all along it was a swerve? And maybe I mean I don’t think Alvine’s comments were a swerve, but maybe Brock was trolling all of us and he was going to sign regardless. He just wanted to wait till the last minute. Just a little idea I had in my head was going like cuz that was relatively fast that signing. Um like Brock didn’t even last an hour on the open market. So, it really made me think, you know, like was he going to do it all along? But that might be wishful. Oh, not not wishful thinking. That might be, you know, just me just being crazy and still trying to process this, you know. Um, but I do think um that that comments from Aline did, you know, bother him. Uh, obviously, I mean, obviously it bothered me, it bothered a lot of Canucks fans as well. Um, and then, uh, Albian went and did it again at the draft. Uh, stuck his foot in his mouth with that comment towards, uh, Coots. Um,
yeah, refresh the the stream with what he said.
Uh, I believe he said something along the lines of, uh, welcome back to the other side of the border or something along those lines. Yeah, I heard him say that and I was like, what are you doing? Like, sh you should be congratulating him, not making a sly little comment about the border, especially while we’re going through stuff in that area. Um, and then yeah, he got booed because they were in LA. So, but yeah, your first thing you you say to him should be, you know, congratulations. you know, you kind of made it about you and not him, which is to me is wrong. And I think someone even tweeted saying, “Yeah, um, Coots even kind of like gave him an odd look and what felt a little and he looked uncomfortable.” Um, but yeah, I I thought that was bad. And especially um if people can hear you and you say that, if it was a private conversation, then okay, no one can hear it. But the fact that people are tweeting about it, saying he said this, he uh might need uh to go talk to PR and be like have them write stuff for you to say and then you read from a script. So I agree. But what’s wild is it’s it’s Rutherford is the loose cannon and Aline Rutherford must be wearing off on him, man. because I love it. Like give a microphone to Jim Rutherford all day, all all night because that guy is
it’s he’s the new John Don Cherry. I I like I I love it. It’s like the content that you and I make from his content al comments alone is worth the price of admission, man. Telling you right now. Oh, breaking news. Brandon Tan of
three years 2.5 million. What? That’s it. to Utah. Man, that’s a guy that Kuck fans would have loved to have.
Yeah, I just saw that. And yeah, hey, uh we talk about Patrick Alvine cooking. Utah is cooking.
Totally.
I mean, them getting Purka. Wow. Like, oh, that one hurt. Obviously, I really wanted Purka, but the likelihood of us landing Purka obviously was very slim. Uh but good on Utah for going out and getting uh Peter, especially at what they paid for him, too. Um and then of course them having what was it the no the fourth overall pick was it? They had Yeah, something like Yeah, they had the fourth pick. My goodness, this is crazy. Um, yeah. So, so Utah’s Utah’s looking better. Utah’s looking better. I’m with you, man. They They’re in a tax-free state and they got the fourth they moved up to the fourth pick. Like you were saying, they’ve they’ve land I thought they were going to land Mitch Mner, but they didn’t. Um, but we’ll see what they do here. That’s okay. Uh, this one here, I believe Brock was waiting to see if they’d EP40 and possibly change his asking price. If they trade EP40, I don’t know. Um, well, here’s the thing. Uh, I do think what Tyler was saying here is is important. Um, is important. Now, maybe I can change the view here so it’s a little better for us here. Let’s see if I can do this. Nope. Um, this is the one I want. So, uh, okay. If we think about why did Brock wait till now to sign, he must have in this last week. Listen, everyone’s kind of contacting. I don’t know why teams are allowed to contact before July 1st. Don’t know how that all works. But if you think about it, Tyler, he’s obviously been contacted by other teams and they’re offering him deals and nobody’s offering him maybe no one’s offering him the money he wanted. No one’s offering him 8 time 7. Maybe maybe they’re saying we’ll do seven or even if they said 7.5* 5. Maybe that’s what it really come down to. like at the end of the day they’re like or or it’s the same amount and he’s like I’ll just stay in Vancouver. I don’t have to move. I love it here. My I’m going to retire here. This is where I want to be. Maybe maybe that’s what happened. Like he he went and said they’re just not offering enough. Maybe. Yeah.
I mean it’s so hard to know. Do you have them on speed dial? I don’t Maybe maybe Kuck has him on speed dial. I don’t know. I um maybe I mean I wish I had him on speed. I’d probably be blowing up his phone going, “Hey, you made me look like a bit of an you know ass with that video earlier. Now I got to take it down.” No, I’m not actually going to do that. But I mean, even with the Kyu video, I was kind of like saying like, “Bye bye. Bye, Besser. Bye, Besser. We want Kyu.” Actually, that video did actually very well. I was a little surprised.
Yeah. Well, Kyru is is a person that the Kucks want.
Kak fans would love to have him. So, that’s why I was like, well, I’m watching this one. So, um yeah, man. There there’s it’s interesting what’s going on. Lefty says, uh, I mean, he is a smart player, good sniper. I just don’t like the average salary and the length of the contract. I don’t mind the AAV. I just don’t love seven years. I like five, but that’s just me and uh it’s not my money. So, I have to remind myself that Alvine is a puppet to Alvine is a puppet is is a muppet to Aline’s both should be fired. What to Rutherford? Oh, Rutherford and Elvine are like, are they the the old muppet guys? That’s a that would be a good one to make. I might do that. Um, okay. Heedle ain’t done yet. Look, we only have to put up meager amount of offense to win next season. We reassess at Christmas and land a big fish or tank for drafts. We are going to be better. It’s possible. Illum people are going to call you crazy for this statement. I’m telling you right now, you might be more accurate than uh people realize. So, um, but says you Utah Mammoths are going to make the playoffs next year. Tyler, do you agree with that statement?
I could see it. I I could see them maybe I don’t want to say squeak in, but I definitely could see them like making a run for it for sure. Absolutely. Especially with that they have been able to land so far and they’re only just getting started now. No, it’s only day one.
Yeah. Yeah. Who’s their goalender there? I think it’s Vamela. That doesn’t give me any confidence. But no, my goodness. My goodness. This is Yeah. I I mean, if you look uh let’s let’s go there. Let’s go to um nhl.com and get to the standings. Okay. We got to figure out how the Vancouver Canucks can get to the playoffs. Okay, let’s do that. Schedule scores. Where is there’s is there not standings somewhere? Teams. Those are stats. Yeah, here we go. Here we go. Okay, so Tyler, we’re gonna we’re going to need your help on this. How do I how do I pull this off? I’m going to share screen and get this going. Okay, let’s see if this works. Can you see that? Yep. All right. So, we’ll just go with the Western Conference if we can. All franchises. Nope. Maybe not. How do we get this? Okay. Score, schedule, news, fantasy, players, teams. No. No. Standings. Found it right here at the top. Okay. We’re gonna go conference and we’re going here. Okay. So, Winnipeg was number one. Um, so basically, let’s start at the bottom. St. Louis, Minnesota, Edmonton, Colorado, and LA Kings. Out of those teams, because the other three probably are shoeins. I think Edmonton’s a shoein, too, but maybe not. Um, Vancouver, Calgary, and Utah all just missed the playoffs, right? So, which who do we leaprog? Minnesota, St. Louis? That those two might be the the ones, hey?
Uh, yeah. I mean, I could definitely see us leaprogging Calgary. Um, yeah, maybe St. Louis or or Minnesota, we could leap frog. Um, and then obviously I could see Utah leap progging Calgary like being like I would not be surprised if uh Utah is right on our butts uh when it comes to the playoffs or like right behind us in uh in a playoff race. Um we may actually even have to possibly compete with Utah if we were like lower in the standings and fighting for a playoff spot like we were this past year. I could see us going toe-to-toe with uh or rather battling with Utah for a playoff spot. Yeah. Um Alfred says Utah uh ended the season one point behind us in the wild card race. Yep. Yep. That’s right. Um Japan for is is on the opposite view of me. We’re definitely not making the playoffs this year. Okay, that’s fair. It’s fair. Ke Kevin says Edmonton and Vegas will fail. Ducks and Utah will make the playoffs. Canucks in two, replacing LA. Okay, wait a minute. So Edmonton and Vegas will fail. What does that mean? They’re making the playoffs with those teams. They’re not not making the playoffs. Like fail in the playoffs, fail to make the playoffs. I come on, Kevin. If you’re saying what you’re saying, uh, I understand that, you know, Mr. Magic has a point here. Uh, Oilers are not going to be as good. Uh, you think they get to 100 points this season, Tyler? I I think they do. Uh, yeah. I mean, I Yeah, I I’m going to go ahead and go out on a limb and say, yeah. Um, even though they like what, um, Mr. Magic mentioned uh you know Cory Perry’s gone. They lost they just lost three players. Um and they still have Skinner and they still need to go out and get a goalie. Um but yeah, they obviously with them re resigning like Buchard and whatnot. Um yeah, I you know they’re always a shoein for a playoff spot. I’m not necessarily going to say they’re going to be in a top playoff spot, but they’re at least a shoe in to at least make the playoffs. Yeah. Well, and right now they only have $4.5 million in their current cap space that they didn’t they don’t have Corey Perry on there anymore. Like, oh, it’s cuz they signed Buchard to 10.5 million, which is insane. Yeah. Don’t even get me started on that. Yeah, that was awful. Um, well, but you mean he’s got to make more than nurse, right?
Mhm. Okay, so Mr. Mal says Vegas also lots uh Petra Angelo. Yes, but the thing is they went and got Mitch Marner. So, I don’t know. I think that’s amazing.
So, Dylan says Utah was on our butts last year. They were the same team. They got better. Yeah. I mean, I guess the argument is Conucks didn’t get better. Oh, no. actually. Okay, think about it. So, are the Conucks better today than at the end of the season? I mean, we added Kane and depends on how many Abaser guys play well, but we basically have the same team. We lost Sudter. Speaking of where is Sudter going to land?
Yeah,
that’s another story. Sorry, I I just got that was squirrel.
No, that’s okay. That’s good. They they said um well obviously we don’t have the cap space to sign sutor so I think you can consider him gone um even though they said it would go down to the wire and it’s not even noon yet but I think if they are wanting to resign sutor they’re going to have to move out some money um so ain’t done cooking yet so but
well if we make a trade Right.
Yeah. Uh Justin says, “We are a wild card team again. Oilers, Vegas, and Kings are ahead of us.” That’s fair. That’s fair. Now, there’s injuries that can happen. Uh things that can happen. So, we’ll see. We’ll see. I’m not I’m not ruling it out yet. I’m not ruling it out yet. Um Wow. Okay. Kevin says Oilers in Vegas have goalending defense issues and fail. Okay, but what does that mean fail? Like don’t make the playoffs fail. Don’t they lose in the lose in the playoffs? Okay, I I’m okay with that. I don’t know. I I don’t think they’re going to they’re not missing the playoffs, Kevin. You got to You can’t be saying that. Uh Michael says, “As flaky as Skinner is at 2.6 million, it’s hard to beat the value.” Really? That’s all he makes? I got it right here. Yeah. 2.6. Pickard only makes a million. That Okay, that is crazy.
Mhm.
Damn. 3.6 million. We decide Devco for 8.5. Lincoln makes more more than both of those goalies.
Yeah. And the Canucks have 13 million tied up in goalies,
but I don’t mind that much. So 10 more million for the Canucks compared to the Oilers. Yeah. And they went to the finals. Okay. But they lost. Okay. Let’s let’s use Florida as an example. Okay. By the way, Florida is minus 2.175 million below the P the cap space right now. Just saying. They’re over the cap. They’re over the cap. So they’re going to have to make they’re going to have to move out some money.
Okay. So, their goalending situation right now is 11 basically $11 million. 11 million. Dang it. Okay. It’s frustrating. I mean, Broski is awesome. So, let’s just let’s just
How much of that is uh uh Sergey of that 11 million?
10 million.
He’s the second highest goalie paid goalie in the league. Shurken is uh the one that’s higher 11.25 million.
So yeah. Yeah, I know. Exactly. The nurse and Buchard accumulate for 20 million. That’s what you can pay those guys that when you’re paying your your starting goalender 2.6 million. That’s it.
Uh Justin, we talked about that. Maybe no one wanted Brock just at the deadline. That’s possible.
Could be. could be.
I mean, if you guys watched my video from last night, you would have saw the stats. It’s it’s not good, everyone. It’s literally not good. The the Brock debacle is is not good. Um, he scored 40 goals. This is high. Not this year, last year. And he’s never scored more than 29 goals in it. was his rookie season, bro, that he got 29 goals and he’s been under that his entire career. Now, part of it is injuries for sure, but I say he’s like he’s a 30goal guy with the potential of scoring 45 when healthy with a good centerman. That’s my opinion. I completely agree on that. So, yeah, we added Kane and lost suitor. Yeah, that’s a that’s true. Um, we could have goalie issues as well. Maybe. Maybe. I don’t know. What What’s the goalie issue for us? That Demco is not healthy. Lankin’s not bad.
Yeah. Yeah. Lankin’s good. That’s why when people are saying like, “Oh, trade Lankin.” Don’t do that. I mean, well, one, he has a no move clause, so you kind of can’t even though you can still work around the no move clause.
Yeah. But after the season he had last year, I wouldn’t trade him. Um especially what if Demco gets hurt and you got to rely on COVID. Um yes, he was fantastic in the playoffs uh for Abby, but you don’t want a repeat of last season because they trusted CEOs and look at what happened. Um although I do believe he’s learned from that, especially during that Abbeby run. But yeah, so Se not not Seov’s Lankin is your safety blanket for Demco. Um, and obviously going into this season, uh, from what I’ve heard, Demco is healthy. Um, last season he was obviously injured for most of the offseason with that, uh, knee injury. So, if he has a healthy off season, I think he’ll be okay at least to start the season. Uh but then it’s just you know essentially a matter of time before he hurts something you know whether it’s a knee or you know pulls a groin or something like that which is very common for goalies. Um but yeah I think it’s he could very well and I hate to use this term for him but he could very well be a ticking time bomb when it comes to an an injury. Um, but obviously I want to be optimistic that he’s going into the season healthy uh a lot healthier than he was last season. So perhaps we might see Demco of two years ago to start the season, right? And and this point is to Angelo says not better, it got worse if PD is the same again. Yes, PD has to bounce back. There’s no doubt about it. No one’s arguing that. Uh, I’d think that, okay, so he he only had 45 points, but what people don’t remember is he played only 64 games. So, let’s just say on a bad season, he plays a full 80 games, 82 games. Okay. What he gets, he’s got to get at least 60 points with those extra games, right? Mhm.
And then, do we make the playoffs? Possibly. possibly.
Yeah, I I know it’s right now 60 for 11.6 million. Huge fail. But what if he scores 80 or 90 this year? We should be making the playoffs unless no one else on the team scores, you know? So, I don’t know. Like what what do you expect what do you expect Kane Patterson and Brock Besser line to do? Like what what are those guys going to get? Do you Does does Brock get back to 35 40 goals? Does Kane like what how many points does Kane put up? Does Kane even play on the top line? Maybe it’s Hoglander. I have no idea.
Yeah,
there’s so many question marks, Tyler. Mhm. I I actually do find that line quite interesting. You know, Pey, Kane, and Besser. I mean, because if you think about it, Kane’s a playmaker, right? You know, he’s he’s good at, you know, getting digging the puck out of the corners and getting it to somebody who’s open. Maybe that can help Brock as well as well, both Brock and Pey. And maybe we’ll see an an uptake in goals for both Brock and Pey. Um, but also I believe they also talked about Kane being a netfront presence. Yeah.
So perhaps Brock and PD could rack up the assists and just have Kane in in the front of the net and just, you know, pulling the old uh Koosmano from a couple years ago and just standing in front of the net and getting those deflections. Yeah. Sorry. Go ahead. I am intrigued to see that line. If that is that line, I’m intrigued to see how they uh mesh and what the chemist the chemistry is like. The other thing that people don’t talk enough about is that Brock Besser actually is great on the boards. He wins puck battles, so that’s that’s an important piece. So does Garland. Uh so that’s good to know as well. But I mean, if you don’t, you don’t really do well in the NHL if you if you ask me. So, um, Justin says, “If we are out by Christmas, is Alvine fired?” Maybe, maybe. I don’t know. I don’t know.
Maybe they just say it’s uh it’s a um he was dealt a bad hand the whole thing. I don’t know. I mean, how do you do excuses? Uh, Sensei Dean says, “Would you trade heronic and get who whoever from Florida will have to cut?” Uh, what do you mean? If you tra Oh, trade Heronic and get whoever Florida has. Okay, so this is two different deals. It’s not trading heronic to Florida. Yeah, I mean, maybe. Maybe. We’ll see. No, I think I heard it was Rodriguez that they might be looking to move out. Okay, that’d be awesome. That would be awesome. I like that guy. Um, Shannon Cap friendly. Thanks. That used to be what it used to be. You got to go to Puckedia. Puckedia is the new place to go, I think. Um, but you can do whatever works for you is fine. But, uh, Philip Besser is going to have a bounceback season. Book it. What does that mean? I guess he has to. He scored 25 goals, 25 assists, 50 points. If he doesn’t, we’re screwed. Excuse me. Okay, Michael. I don’t think that uh that’s that no one wanted Brock. It’s not that it’s not even lunchtime. They already signed the contract. Brock may have lost his nerve and cave. Possible. Very possible.
Possible. Very possible. Yeah. Goalie depth is one thing we do have. I agree.
Uh Dylan says Marcus Patterson and Heronus contracts are looking mighty fine today after all these Dmen contracts we’re seeing. Yeah, that’s that’s fair. It’s fair. Okay, so Brian says, “Pretty much same team, Kane instead of Sudter, but overall EP40 will be a big deciding factor if he bounces back or not.” Yeah, absolutely. That’s what we’ve been saying this whole time. That’s that’s a good take. Um, but he also says he really likes Heedle. being a player myself and analyzing his skill, his speed and movement and uh and generates doesn’t generates uh just doesn’t quite have the finish, but he can make a decent second line center. I I mean that’s the goal and hope, right, Tyler? What do you think? You think he’s a second line center or he’s a third line center?
Um I think he has the potential to be a second line center. It’s just those the concussion history that really blurs that at least for me. Um like if he’s, you know, completely healthy and has no like concussion history, absolutely. I I think he has that potential, but it’s just those injuries, it it I’m skeptical about it because of the concussion stuff. I mean, I think people uh forget he’s only 25 years old. Um,
yeah.
And he’s already had like five or six concussions, which is insane to even, you know, blurt out. You know, 25 years old and you’ve already had six concussions. You know, you’re essentially, well, beforehand they said he was one bad one away. Well, I think if he gets one more, he’s he’s done. Um, depending on the severity of it, of course. But I do think he has the potential. I’m just hesitant to trust him, you know, to be able to do a full season without at least getting uh concuss. So, yeah. Yeah. No, I hear you. I hear you.
And I just really want Rossi, too. I just really want Rossi, too. So,
yeah. But what’s he going to cost?
Yeah. That’s
I I Okay, if it’s Joshua, well, can’t it can’t be the 15th overall pick now. No, next year’s 15th overall pick, I don’t think you trade that pick
because if you’re in the McKenna,
if we if we struggle, we might want to tank for him. And next year’s draft is supposed to be stronger, so they’re probably going to want to keep their uh first round pick for next year.
Yeah. All right, man. It’s been great having you here. You uh it I’m so thankful for you, man. This has uh been a blast. And so I want to just give a big shout out to Tyler here. Um uh give a give a like to the line change everyone at line change van. Is that how it is?
Yeah. Yeah.
He he pumps out a ton of content. His thumbnails probably are the best thumbnails in Vancouver. Uh content creation and that’s saying a lot cuz there’s a lot of good thumbnails out there. Uh, but I love you. You grinded. You stayed up all night grinding, making videos. That’s crazy, man. That’s crazy. Any LA last uh statements, words that you want to share with them? Uh, well, thank you for inviting me on. This is great. It’s obviously been a while. Um, uh, but yeah, no, I’m just pumped for my first July 1. No, obviously to the point where I didn’t want to sleep. Um, but yeah, I I do take a great pride in my thumbnails. Um, I I think I sometimes focus more on those than the actual content. It’s hard not to, right?
Yeah. Yeah. I mean, and I I think I feel as though I’ve found a rhythm with or a style, I should say, for the thumbnails and I just want to keep it going and obviously I’m still tweaking with it, you know, occasionally. Um, yeah. I know. I absolutely have a blast doing those thumbnails, especially if I can come up with something like quirky like with the uh Kyu. I I’ll admit I tried to go a little clickbaity with that to
maybe get some views and it apparently it seemed to work. Uh considering uh I I mean I haven’t checked it today, but last I looked it was at over 400 views.
That’s awesome.
Yeah. So,
yeah. Thanks for having me on. Appreciate it. Um, I’m going to go scour and see if there’s any more topics I can do.
Sounds good.
I mean, I I mean, I may as well keep going on on videos. Uh, there’s probably a good chance I’m actually not playing softball tonight, so I might actually hop on to Russell’s stream later.
Sweet. Um, so yeah. Awesome, man. Well, thanks so much for being here. Everyone, hit the like and subscribe, not only to this channel, but es especially to the line change. That would be great.
All right, man. like and subscribe to Campnark. You you pump out some great stuff, too. I love watching your lives. Um, obviously once the season starts, I’m going to try and start getting into lives as well. Actually, on that note, I think I’m going to go live tomorrow for day two. So, be on the lookout for that. Sounds good. All right, man. Have a good day.
All right. Thanks for having me. See you.
Yeah. All right. We’re going to take a quick twominut break. I can’t wait to have Conucks Uncensored with me as well. But thank you, Tyler from Line Change. That is really good. That is really good. It was interesting stuff. Uh I’m excited about uh this day, this three-hour live stream. For all of you that are here, just give yourselves a pat on the back right now. Thank you for being here. I’m going to dive into uh more content in just a couple minutes. Looking forward also to having Kox and Censored with us. Uh it’s going to be wild. It’s gonna be fun. It’s gonna be great. And I got to remove Data. Want to pick? Dick. Dick. Dick Dick. Dick. Thanks for sticking around. We have uh just under 200 people here in the live stream and uh so thankful on Canada Day July 1st that you’re sticking around hanging out talking about the free agency. This has been great. Um three-hour live stream. It’s crazy. Um but we got lots to talk about and I want to introduce my new guests here. Uh Whitman and Jordan from Kucks Uncensored. Uh I’ll move this so it’s a little better. Oops. Oops. I just took you guys out. My bad. My bad. Okay. Okay. Got you guys in. Got you guys in. How you guys doing today? Happy Canada Day.
Happy Canada Day, Rev. Good to see you. Good to see you grinding it out today on three hours. Holy. Good for you. We’re uh definitely admiring that and glad to have all these people here with you and have and you having here with us.
Yeah. Yeah. What a great day. Great day to do this and great day for the for the connect so far.
Yep. Absolutely. And it’s been wild. That jersey is sitting there in behind you guys.
Uh it was it was going to be worthless a few a little bit, but now that thing is worth a lot. He is going to be a kuck for the rest of his career. What are you guys’ thoughts about the shocking news of Brock Besser coming to Vancou coming back to Vancouver extending a seven-year deal 7.7 $7.25 $25 million. This is insane. Um, yeah, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Well, I’m uh I’ve always said that Brock Master was my favorite Kuck right now besides Queen Hughes. So, I was pretty happy. You know, the whole season Bro, we were saying that, you know, the whole time we were saying, “Okay, Brock’s probably gone. Brock’s probably gone. He’s not signing back here.” But
like you said this morning, okay, you just never know until until uh until it’s official. It’s not official until it’s official. So, I’m pretty happy. I mean, he had a little bit of a a slower not as good year last year, so we took a step back, but so did the whole team. But, uh, yeah, I’m glad that I could still wear that jersey out. Absolutely.
Happy. Um, I think that uh Brock Ber resigning is a is a great move. um especially for that like obviously the the the term could be a year or two too long but the like the the cost per year is is that’s a pretty good deal. Um and and with the inflated cap and everything like that that’s it’s going to look look good, right? So that’s what I like about that deal. Uh or the Brock Besser deal, it’s it’s pretty solid and and him and Eers were like the best two free agents out there and we got one of them. I mean, he’s our own, but we we got one of them. And and now you have Besser and and and Kane. And I think all of a sudden finding a top like other top six forwards won’t be is not as as big of a task anymore, right?
It’s still a huge task, but it’s easier when we have Brock back.
Totally. Yeah. Let’s just hope Let’s just hope he can run back into form back to the Brock that we know.
Yes. and all that. You know, it’s after it just seemed like the problem is it just seemed like after we lost Miller, you know, he lost his buddy, he lost his setup man. So, we just got to find someone who’s going to be able to get him the puck so we can shoot.
Yeah.
Yes.
And then, have you guys heard this news yet? Brock Besser gets a full no movement clause for the first four years of the contract, no trade protection in years five to seven. What’s you guys’ thoughts on that? I’m good with that because I I I I know I have this rule for for me for forwards anyways fors and defenseman like obviously anybody can play well up to any age like just think about like you know Perry in a different way ovkin in a different way but I always think a player is good up until about 32 and then after that you know historically production declines. So, I I’m just a fan that he’s gotten protection up until 32 and then after that if he’s not good anymore or whatever situation we’re in, we have the option to move him. That’s what I like. Yeah. And like the whole time like our whole even with our oldest video, our second podcast, you were saying something like uh well players who are not as a fleet of foot or fast, they don’t age very well, right?
So, this is good. I think you know we’re not stuck with stuck we don’t have to be we have options at the end of Besser’s year Besser’s contract so you know if he’s
he could be a trade ship at the end of those years when he’s getting a little older and probably not producing as much. I was always saying hey that 40 goal season that Brock got yet last year or two years ago now that’s probably not going to happen as as often anymore right
so I think it makes sense. Yeah. I I don’t know. I I like it because I mean so four years. Was he is he 28 right now or 29?
I think he’s 28. I would say 28.
Let me just see right now.
He is drum roll please. 28 years old.
Yeah. So 28 years old. Uh four years from there it’s kicks in right now basically. Yeah. I mean
that that’s not a bad deal but it’s a it’s not it’s okay. So it’s a no movement clause. He cannot be traded in the first four years. But then it turns into a 15 no team 15 no trade list. So So that’s half the league. Yeah.
Yeah. So that gives him a chance to
Yeah. He controls his destiny.
It gives him a chance to go back to Minnesota for his last few years of his of his of his career
if he wants.
Yeah.
Everyone was convinced he was going to Minnesota and I just kept looking at the moves Minnesota made and I was like, I don’t think they have room for him. And then Yeah. Do you do you guys think that um that really he wanted to stay in Vancouver or the offer is not great everywhere else? And I think there’s a part of it that wanted to there’s a part of him that probably wanted to stay.
So, he tried to wanted to make a deal for him. But, you know, if I was an NHL player, right, I would try to and if I was going to free agency and I just came off a 40 goal year, I would probably want to test the market, see what everyone else is trying to offer. That’s just only the smart thing to do. His agent is probably telling him to do the same,
right? So, I think I I would think that there was probably some want to stay in Vancouver a little bit. He probably likes it here.
All right. Even though they’ve even though uh they traded Miller away as his buddy, but I think he really likes to be here with Hughes and Phoebe.
Yeah, I think he likes to be here with his teammates. Like Demco posted on his uh Instagram or something, he’s so happy that Besser’s back. And uh something else that I do know, I I don’t have the connection directly, but uh Vesser’s um girlfriend is from here and uh had Vesser been traded, she was willing to make the move. That’s what I I’ve heard cuz I I have a coworker that know like works with them uh or knows them uh has the connection and um they yeah, they said that uh the girl girlfriend was ready to move with Besser had he been traded, but his preference was always to stay. I’m not saying his girlfriend’s the main reason he’s here, but uh he he really liked it here and he probably never wanted to leave. He just felt disrespected this year, right? That’s that’s the big part of it as well.
Okay. But it’s weird that they caved on the on the term. It’s like they were only going to do five years, right?
Yeah.
We’re doing seven and it’s like, well,
we could have had this done a long time ago. Definitely. Well, it seems like they caved a little bit on the term and the money, right? Because we thought he was going to get 8 by8 somewhere.
Oh, I thought he was going to do 8 by seven. Like he from he want the Canucks offered 8 time 5 8 million times five years
and then but but he says no, I want 8* 7 is what he really wanted
and and that’s where they the the talk stalled from what I mean I’m not I’m not an insider but uh that’s what I keep hearing. Right. So, well, that’s how negotiations go sometimes, right? You got to give and take. And I guess here that’s is this is where they met. Exactly.
I’m glad they were able to meet here because uh if you thought of uh if you heard about the Zidor of the the Canucks um you know played the game as you do in negotiations and then by the end of it Kucks offered Zidor of what he really wanted at the end, but because he felt disrespected, he’s like, you know what, I’m not taking it. and then you went to Boston instead. But you know what? Here they they they did what they needed to do and then at the end they gave in a little bit and gave a little bit more term and they got Ber back.
And you know how 2020 the Zidorov one like may maybe we saved ourselves there because of the amount of penalty penalties he took this season and all that kind of stuff. But I mean I just miss his physical presence, his domination,
his intimidation factor. um he played his best hockey in Vancouver. He in any other uh city uh there. So I I do like that. I I think that it’s interesting that they played hard ball with him and it’s like wow. It’s like what are we doing here? So it is what it is. So
Jordy, okay. Interesting. So yeah, I I’m so so interesting what we did there. What do you guys think about the Marcus Patterson deal now? It it looks so much better. Like I think it was already pretty good, but then I think just look looking at what other people are going for. I I think this is such a good deal. They hopped on this one early and it it looks like it’s paying off.
So some comparables got signed for for le for for more
for more. Okay, good,
good, good, good.
Hey, he got signed for cheaper than Tyler like years before. He 5.5. This is what I kind of like about this uh management team. Yeah.
They get the ball rolling. They get stuff done early. So, you know,
it looks like they put jumped ahead so they don’t have to overpay for somebody.
Okay. So, it’s looking like a better deal now. Amazing. Amazing. Yeah. Right. Um
you know, we sometimes we sometimes crap a lot on this management team, right? You know, they haven’t made the the best moves all season, right? But they do some really smart things. They show their experience. Their experience comes through when uh you know push comes to shove here.
Wow.
Totally.
Yes. Totally. Um okay. So LA’s making a few minor moves as well. Cody Cece is four years $4.5 million. So that’s that’s decent. Um any other moves that happened today that you guys are kind of surprised about? Um,
I mean, obviously the Demco news is like shocking.
Yeah, dude. I
I’m right. Right now, as of this moment, Suda hasn’t signed anywhere yet, right?
Not Not that I see.
Not that you know of. And what’s that guy that didn’t he ever get 40 points and he got what, like four point something today? Like that the center? Yeah, I don’t. Freak. I If I look him up, I’ll know. But someone in the chat might actually know. Someone signed for 4 point 4 point something. It was one of the centers that we were checking in on.
Oh my good. Oh, with D’Vorak.
Yes. And I was like, what? He got that. Then what suit are you going to get?
How much did he get? Is it 4.1 or 4? Yeah, D’vorak. 4.1 or 4 point.
Yeah. It was something ridiculous.
I was like, are you kidding me? DV O R A K.
Yeah, I’m gonna I was like, are you Oh, we’ll find out in a second here. He’s on.
I can’t remember where he signed. Was it Philly? Could have been. Where is he?
Yeah. 5.4 million
for one year.
5.4.
5.4.
1 mil. Yeah.
Not even four mill. It’s 5.4.
Yeah. One year. Freaking guy never broke 40 points. But this shows how shallow the pool is, right?
No.
So what a suitor go
I don’t know you want to sign for that much
dude that’s insane
dude since we have all our money in goalending now it’s
well when I saw that when I let’s go back to the deco signing. When I saw the deco signing I like holy cow what the hell I did not I didn’t see this coming. 8 mil.
Is that 8.5?
8.5.
8.5
for a guy who’s just gonna get injured
for three years.
Oh my goodness.
Three years after this. That’s crazy. So, we just signed Lankin into five 5 million. Basically, what Demco was getting.
Yeah. And now we give Demco a raise after he barely plays half the year.
They’re banking. They’re banking on him to stay healthy. Right. Yeah, that’s that’s literally what it showed.
Uh I don’t know. I hope I hope I hope they know what they’re doing because Okay, so what does that mean for Seas now?
I mean gone.
Is he gone?
I think he’s getting traded.
Got to be traded. He’s got to be traded.
I I I got to make a prediction. I think him and Joshua are going to be a package.
Oh, okay. You heard it here first.
I They They got to get rid of Capman. Wants us to be more positive, guys. Okay. What what’s the positive take we can take? Okay, let’s Here’s the positive take.
Yeah. Weren’t we positive that Weren’t we happy that I didn’t say Didn’t I say I was happy when we we signed Besser? I’m happy about that.
Um I’m happy that he’s I think I’m happy that Demco signed. It means that
that they’re that they believe that he’s healthy. That’s very positive for me. I think if the if the if Demco’s healthy, we have a very good shot at
making the playoffs. I think he’s an elite top five, arguably top three goalender in the NHL.
Um, so that’s good. My concerns are we still don’t have a second line center.
But if you want Heedle there, uh, if he stays healthy, basically there’s big question marks. Will Hedle stay healthy? Will Patterson bounce back? Will Joshua bounce back? Will uh Demco stay healthy? Like these are legitimate concerns. So we can say this. This is not it’s not a criticism. It’s just facts. We can be positive all we want, but we have to look at what the facts and the real what the uh what the reality is. That’s a lot of questions going into a season, man.
Like for for a team to to contend or to be uh to be a contender, you can’t have that many questions. can’t have that many questions about health,
right?
Yeah,
health is key, man. Yeah.
I don’t know. Like, um,
health is wealth.
Yes, exactly.
Wait.
Um, question about the demode. I have a question about the demode deal.
Yeah.
Does he have trade protection in that uh in the new deal?
Uh, I’ll bring it up right now.
Okay, awesome.
That’s what I would want to know. Yeah, he must have. Hey,
he must maybe like like for uh Brock’s deal, he has a few
no movement clause for any of the years. Wow. He can’t be moved these three years. So, pop Letas or not
and neither can neither can Lanin and for this year or next year. Demco is officially uh available to be traded this season only and then after that he cannot be traded when his new deal kicks in in 2627. Lanking cannot be moved for this year or next year.
And then he’s got a year. When we say this year, Rev, are we saying this coming season or this past season 25?
So 20. Let me just bring it up. I’ll show it to you so you guys can see it. My apologies.
Um, right here. Boom. Dang.
Okay. So as you look right here this season, okay, 2012 26, Demco has can be traded. It was just like the PE feel
then everything kicks in after that. Okay,
gotcha.
Then Lankin has cannot be moved this year or next year without the player approval. Oh man, I that is an interesting development that I did not see. Well, yeah. It’s uh Well, I mean, I I don’t blame I don’t blame teams for doing that. And, you know, of course, the players want protection, right? But I don’t blame teams for doing that. You know, stuff can happen.
Yep.
Yeah. Like, what I I just don’t get why everyone’s got one. So basically they’re committing like like look at these guys, you know, like Marcus Person has a has a no movement clause for three years.
Yes.
Philip for the next three years or like why? Well, I think think about it this way, Rev. Like we were having trouble signing free agents. Vancouver is maybe not so much of a destination anymore. So that’s how they need to sweeten the pot for these guys. Hey, we’ll give you trade protection and maybe other teams aren’t willing to do that. Other teams may not have to do that. Yeah. May not.
I wonder if I wonder if like what if a team says we’re not doing any no trade clauses anymore, right?
And just say, you know what, you want to play here, we want you to play here. Will people come? Uh, it depends on the market, right? Depends on where it is. depends on, you know, I think I I get the feeling that, you know, like you like you were saying earlier.
Yeah.
Like Florida’s more of a destination now. Of course.
And there’s more positives more positives to be to playing in Florida.
Yeah. You know, back between 2008 and 2013 when we were pretty good in making the playoffs consistently, I know a lot of teams took a lot of Canucks took um team friendly deals and things like that. Then it was, you know, cuz people wanted to win and build a culture. And uh I I just hope one day we are able to get back to that. Kind of like what Florida’s doing now, locking up their top guys. They’re taking less to stay to be in a winning environment.
Mhm.
I I really want that to happen for us.
Oh, we did have that back in our heyday.
I know. I want I want it to come back cuz you know, right now these are these are, you know, tougher times and and uh hope that we can get back there.
Yeah. So, Jonathan Duan just signed with the New York Islanders. Two years, $4 million. Uh, this is a interesting because is Duan a center? I
think so.
Or is he a winger? Why do I not know this? It’s hard to keep track of everybody. Left wing, Colorado,
30 years old. Four million bucks. That’s not bad.
It’s not bad. It’s It’s all right. It’s not He can play center as well. They say he’s a left He’s a left wing and a center.
Yeah. Interesting. Very interesting. Okay. Uh Angelo says she loves is going to Buffalo. It’s possible. Uh Evander Kane uh 91 says, “Trubbs boy Jules followed talking to Philly. Great move for Philadelphia.” I I don’t know. Like he’s a depth defenseman. He played a ton of games for us. All the all the hate on Jules, it’s like we had injuries and thank thank goodness we had him because at least he could hit. I did he did he lose a couple games because he he went in and hit a little bit too much? Sure. Sure. We’ll I’ll give you that. But for $775,000 playing uh as the sixth defenseman on how many nights? Like he was playing like 40 games a year at least. Some I think he even played 50. That is amazing. So I I mean I know everyone bugs me because I like Jolson, but what what else do you want from this guy? It’s a good seven. You’re one of the very few people who I’ve heard speak positively about uh about Noah Jul.
Well, for sure he’s Yeah.
Mhm.
So I I don’t know. It’s kind of weird if you ask me that peopleike for 1 million. Holy forever. Journeyman James Van Reamdikeke 1 million with Detroit. man, he’s been around forever.
Breaking news. Um, but yeah, you’re right. Like, these guys are are aging. Well, I don’t I don’t get it. I don’t get it. How do you stop making a million?
Where has time gone?
Right. This is nuts. Yeah. I mean, I I feels like age is irrelevant. I should bring that up and throw that on there somewhere. I can’t believe Rockb’s back. I’m still in shock. Like
I want to put my Brock jersey back on now.
Put it on. That That jersey is nice, man. That is a really nice one.
I want that color, actually. That’s the Yeah.
Oh, those are hard to find, though.
Yeah,
I know. Remember I told you I was going to I was going after that Demco one.
Yeah,
I offered the guy 125 bucks for it. And he’s like, “No, no, I’m not in a rush to sell.” And I’m thinking, man, if if Demco gets traded, that thing’s not worth anything. And then and then uh and so he took it off of the off like it’s not even available right now.
Oh no. Okay. Well, you had your chance, Ram. You had your chance.
I know. I know. I love Jump though.
So Well, okay. I want to fall back. I want to get back in love with Demco. Okay, let’s let’s just see if he can do it. See if he can get back into my good books. Well, and and this comment right here probably expresses what you feel like has to perform or he’s probably gone. Well, he’s not gone. He he’s he’s on no movement clauses, so he’s not getting moved.
But but healthy Demco’s awesome. That’s the only thing. None of us are sitting here going, I don’t like Demco. They’re saying I don’t like that that injury that he had was the only injury I believe it was a hockey player, but maybe it was a goalie has ever had.
Like he did he have like four different injuries last season?
It was like a soccer player that had the same injury. Yeah. So
I I’m a huge Demco fan. Like I’ve got I think rookie cards
when he’s not hurt.
Yes.
Yes. Yes. I I I say the same thing about another player I really love. Just so that people know.
I really love Sami Salo when he wasn’t hurt.
Yes, me too.
I really did. I I’m telling you, I really did.
Right. It’s it’s it’s like the comparable right now. I love Demco if he’s not hurt.
And we you obviously, you know, wish him to to not be hurt, right? Both for the player and the person.
Yes, I hear you.
I hear you. Okay. Alfred says, “Do you think we could be running into a similar situation where where we sign players to no movement, no move or no trade clauses and then years down the road we ask them to wave their clauses?” Sounds like Gillis. Very well. Could be. Sign players know. Yeah. I mean, it happens, right? We’ve seen it happen all the time. Is it can’t be just a Canuck thing.
No,
I’m sure players have done that a lot. Mhm.
Right.
Well, okay, let’s let’s use the example like of of Marner, right?
So, so literally they have a deal in place for Rantin and he vetos it. I mean, that is the worst option. If the Toronto Maple Leafs got ranted in right before the deadline, there’s a great chance that they beat Florida and they go on and win a Stanley Cup. That is how massive that deal was.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And here they are. And and it’s like, man, that’s why I don’t like these no movement clauses, but I get why players want it.
Teams teams just discard people like they’re assets instead of human beings. And so I I understand why they’re doing this, but but that rent and deal alone is worth like wow that that is crazy that Mner and then not only is that Mner basically walks and then he says okay I’ll I’ll do a signing deal like getting what they got back from him is like really okay they got something.
They they got something though, right?
Is that Nicholas Wah or something like that?
Yep.
Who is that guy? Like I don’t know a thing about him
and and I’m not trying to be disrespectful to him. I’m sure he’s like a decent guy, but like like when I don’t know your name,
it’s like so is you’re just like are you a third liner, fourth liner on some you know what I mean?
Yeah. Are you Patrick’s son?
I don’t know exactly. And I’m not I I I know this is going to come across so disrespectful, but like I obviously I’ve seen him play against us on the Vegas Golden Knights, right? But he’s never been a guy that stood out
and so that’s what you get for Marner. So it’s basically a bit of a salary dump.
It’s like I don’t I don’t understand it.
Yeah.
Yeah. He’s a he was he was what like a 17 goal guy um in Vegas I think something like that.
Wow. Well, salary dub. Speaking of that, that’s what I kind of felt when we when we got uh Kane. I was like, why did Edmonton let go of Kane so easily? Is he damaged goods? Is he bad in the locker room still? I was questioning all these things and then then the point came to him that they they needed to dump salaries. I’m like, “Okay, fine. I get it.” Mhm.
But I like getting Kane here, I was like, “Oh, okay.”
Yes. One thing I I thought about this, right? I don’t know about you, but when we got Kane here, I was like, “So, you traded JT Miller to get a certain type of player out of the locker room from PD, but then you bring in Evander. I know. I was thinking the same thing. I was thinking the same thing.”
Yeah.
The thing is, will Evander Kane have the guts to go after Person in the locker room? Is it that I’m from this area? I’m a real fan. Like I’m like, you know what I mean? I’m a fan and a a player. I I don’t know. I don’t think he’s going to be that guy. He’s got one year left on his deal. I can’t see him causing problems with Person.
Yeah. No. Well, I mean, you would think not. You would hope not, right? Yeah.
Yeah.
Pay was injured the whole year.
Yeah. He only played the playoffs. Did he produce? Did he He scored He scored
12 points in 21 games. Six goals, six assists, I believe.
Not bad.
It’s not bad.
It’s not bad.
Uh they have the same jersey. They have the same jersey. Nice. Uh four is really happy today.
Uh in the chat, he’s been really positive about the Canucks. Um I love it. Uh he was injured the whole year. Yes. And then he played in the playoffs. So I don’t know if we’re if if Kane’s injured the whole year for us and plays in the playoffs because we made it, I’m I’m okay with that. I don’t know.
I’m down with that. But I think it’s more like was he really injured or were they doing that whole LTI thing? I have no idea.
Circumventing the cap.
Yes.
Just saying.
Yeah, Eugene, you’re right. Kane has grit and size. Okay.
Yep. That’s what we need. Also says defense needs to do better in Vancouver for Demco or he’ll get injured all over again. Uh someone uh Calvin said that Jules bumped Demco and broke him. Like what? Yeah, took a dive and tried to draw a penalty. Oh my god,
that is so nice.
Took a d drive a penalty and then he got injured. Yeah, don’t get it twisted. Kane is Canadian. He’ll probably be more forgiving than JT Miller. Getting to the nationality there. Oh, that’s controversial.
That is uh that’s true. You know, I don’t remember that game, Kelvin. Last year was a blur.
So,
okay, boys. So, uh let’s go back to let’s I I want you to look at the lines, okay?
I want you to look at the lines
and I want you to tell me
what do we need to do, okay? So, you probably saw the retweet I did
on uh the big the big head hockey for the Lions this season. And um this is this is crazy if you ask me, right? Um what do you guys think about about this team going next year into with this lineup? I know that we’ll probably somehow make some kind of move here, but here it is. Uh Kane, Person, Besser on the top line with De Brusk and uh um
Keel and Garland, Joshua Bluger, Sherwood, and then the fourth line, Hoglander, Ratu, Drew O’ Conor, and then the the defensive pairings look fine to me. Goending looks fine to me, but what what do you guys think about this? of the lander. Um, in a perfect world, I still think we’re short one center and one and one top six forward. But we have to at least get that that center. Even if we’re not going to get the other top six forward, we need to at least get a center. Like I think Hedo would be good on the wing and I think whatever whoever we bring in should play with the brusk and then you can have Garland there if you need but Garland’s also really really good third liner that can carry that that line but if you need Garland there for the for the second line that’s also okay. So, that’s what I think. And, um, goalending top five. This defense, if we had it all year, I don’t know. Would you say it’s in the top 10? Top half goalending.
No, the defense.
Oh, defense. Sorry. Sorry.
Would you say it’s 10 to 15?
Sure. Sure. Let’s do 10 to 15.
I I would say they’re around 10 to 15. And then that’s and then right now the forwards like this is where it comes down to like if we make playoffs or not, right? Like if like what type of center are we getting back? Is it is it a really good center or is it just okay? Um and then are we going to get another forward for insurance? Like this is what it comes down to, right? But uh it’s the defense and and the goalies, they’re looking good on paper. Just we got to get those forwards. But yes, I I would like that. Now, just just looking at this with Besser, it looks so much better.
Yeah,
it just looks so much better.
I’m going to make a prediction. Yeah,
I think Person uh EP DP40
and Lander are going to take a big step this year and really step into their own as uh as top six forwards. So, I like their defense. It’s looking good. Well, the only thing about the Vlander deal is that I isn’t he just going to play in Abbottzford this year or is he gonna make the club? Oh, um
I hope he makes the club.
I I would guess that it’s going to be Manini in that spot
who also look good for Manini.
I think Mancini should be there instead of Bander knocks the socks off at training camp, then of course he could be there, right? But you have Mancini there just in case,
right? totally forgotten man
and and also let’s just say Mancini and Willander don’t do well that’s why you have forbert too right
defense defense is defense Steph is looking good a lot better than last year last year no dehar no susi anymore oh thank goodness right but um forwards I I one thing I wanted to say here was um we can swap between Garland and Sherwood anytime here for third and second line we know that Garland he’s you know He’s being paid like a second liner right now, but he’s probably best suited as a third liner. And why not bring back that Joshua Bluger and Garland line? I wanted to see that all year last year. Hopefully Dakota is back to where he was uh two years ago.
Yeah. And we see Dakota, Bluger, and and Garland back together. I I want to see that again because brings back good memories for me. Yeah. I mean, I I don’t think anyone’s complaining about the goalending and the defense. It’s the lines.
It’s the lines. Okay. So, you said we need another uh top six center and a top six forward. If that’s the case, so who’s the forward that you remove out of that? I guess we’ll go back to this just so you can see it.
Yeah.
Um uh so Kane, Besser, De Bruss Garland. Which one of those? Oh, it’s going to be Garland for you. I know it. Um, you know, because they resigned Garland, I think the optics would be terrible to trade him, right? So, I think just looking at this list, if you could, I would try to get rid of Keo. Uh, and then Joshua and Buger are rumored um to to um, you know, be trade chips. Those would those would be the guys that I would try to get out to get some cap to try to get at least one of the players that we need, but preferably the center. But before we resigned Demco and Garland, that’s that’s where I thought the money would be coming from to get that top six forward we needed. If that made sense.
Yeah.
But because we locked in Demco and Garland now you’re going and and we’re up against the cap, we you have to get rid of a combination of Bluger, uh Joshua, and maybe Hoglander because those are the guys that cost money or you can free up some cap. That that’s how I I see it. But um hey, you know what? Kucks the management knows more than us. They chose to resign Demco and and Garland. So this is the path that we’re gonna we’re gonna go. It’s going to be interesting. Gonna be interesting. Oh man. Uh Japan for ask who’s scoring. So cuz uh cuz Kevin said Hovlander, Pey, Besser, uh the De Brusk, uh Ratu and Kane, then Joshua, Sassin, and someone else. So
I like Sassin. I like Sassin.
I like Ratu. But yeah, this Hogy PD Besser line is interesting. I think Hogan is probably going to take a big hopefully he takes a step this year from last year. Kevin wants us to trade Garland. No, before that.
And then Ryan wants us to move Hoglander.
Yeah.
Alex wants us to trade Drew O’ Connor and Heedle. Yeah.
Yeah. I wouldn’t mind getting rid of Heedle.
You see how like the people are also naming like all these other guys. Like we have to almost do this, right? Yeah.
Like who else can you get rid of, right?
Yeah.
Well, and what can you get for a guy like Heedle? Like I don’t think you can get a lot.
No,
he’s probably not even gonna pay.
Suspect Tojito. No.
Yeah. Okay. Here’s here’s this one. Okay. This is actually and I don’t think he can because of no trade clause unless he says yes. But if you traded Heronic for a center and Manchini slots in with Hughes, then you got So the the the right hand side though gets really weak. It’s Meyers, Manchini, and Vlander. Are you guys okay with that walking into the season? No,
I like heroic. I like Heronic there because because Wanderer’s not proven yet, right? So,
it would have been easier if Wanderer was proven at this point
for sure.
But, uh I’m I’m good with keeping her.
And you’re taking a you’re taking a gamble ini, right?
Yeah. Like he’s still pretty young. That’s heronic’s hard to replace.
Yeah. As long as he doesn’t get hurt.
What about this? What is What are the chances? Actually, there is no chance
because uh Coots is going back to Seattle this year. That’s been confirmed. So,
uh even if he has a really great Young Stars tournament and a preseason, he I don’t think he doesn’t go back to Seattle. It’s all about development. It takes two to three years to make the NHL as a first round pick.
Uh especially anything past top five
in the draft. So if you think about, let’s just use him for example. So he we picked him what 15. He’s going to play Seattle next year. Then the following year, I don’t even think he makes the big club. He plays in Abbottzford and then he plays in the NHL on year three. That’s my prediction. But what do you guys think? He will he get to the big show before that? Um I think the proper path is to have AHL development. do the junior years,
do AHL for a year or two and then come up but you know
in saying that there are exceptions like his player comparable Bo Horvat who made it in this second year I think
right
right so there there’s also hope
it’s possible
and they brought him along pretty nicely they scratched him some games they started him on the fourth line and then eventually moved him up I think Horvat had 25 points his first year and then 40 the second so there is a path but I much prefer the path to be juniors and then a season or two in the AHL before coming up.
It’d be cool if he made it to the big team right away, right? Like we said, we saw Horvette do that,
but
you know, obviously to be better to be safe.
Yeah. Yeah.
Okay. So, apparently, uh Patrick Alvine has talked about free agency. Says some of the players that we talked to expressed their interest of playing in the States and not in Canada. Wow. Sorry. Who who expressed interest in playing in the States?
He said some of the players that they talked with in for the free agents wanted to be wanted to be be in the States and not in Canada,
right? Okay. Uh it’s come something similar to what we, you know, heard from the media, right? It’s it’s very very similar. Yeah. I mean, unfortunately, unfortunately, I don’t want I hate to have to say this, but fortunately being in Canada is not the bee’s knees all the time,
especially for some of these players.
Well, like some people can’t handle being a Leaf, right? Because the pressure is huge.
The pressure there’s definite pressure and some guys just want to be low-key.
Yeah.
And, you know, hide from the media.
Yeah.
It’s a tough sell. I would think it’s a tough sell sometimes. For sure. If it was me, of course, I’m a Canadian and I grew up here. I would love to play in Canada. Mhm.
Right. We know, we all know that there’s less and less Canadian players in the NHL now. So, makes sense.
Yeah. Now, on the trade market, Heedle is not worth anything. We know that.
Yeah.
But, I would think
he might be on the LTR. I He He is I don’t know if he’s healthy yet right now. These are great questions that people are asking.
Yeah.
You know, is healthy?
Yeah.
Yeah. We don’t know the answer to these questions. It’s just they’re good questions to ask. Uh, is anyone looking at Pia Sudter? I don’t know who’s interested in PSA. I’m shocked he hasn’t signed yet. Like, why isn’t he signed? Uh, maybe he’s really unrealistic in his thing. Maybe other teams are looking at other players and if they lose out, then they move to Sudter. I don’t know. What are you guys thoughts about Sudter? Why he hasn’t signed yet? I think maybe his agent is is uh is maybe overselling him. Maybe he did have a good year with us and it was a breakout year. So, some agents like to say, “Hey, look, this guy’s going to break out.” So, I think maybe the Conucks are just playing on the waiting game to see if anyone bites on him. And if they don’t, then they’ll go in and give him the deal that they think he’s worth for. May maybe he’s secretly still talking to the Conucks.
Yeah, could be a whole another just saying, “Hey, like it’s all good if you move out some some uh cap and then maybe I’ll come back.” Maybe.
Maybe.
Yeah. Yeah. We cuz we say whatever we said cuz everybody thought Vessel was out the door and then he came back.
Exactly. The whole year we were saying expect Vesser not to be back next year. So
never say never, right? Never say never.
Okay. So Callum’s upset. He’s saying I’m not positive enough people. Okay. The Conucks didn’t do flaky trades. We still have Elander, DPD, Leer Mackey, Manchini, and we added Team Canda Captain. Okay. So Callum Callum, listen. I want to be very clear about this channel. Passionate, realistic, honest. That’s what I That’s what I offer. That’s what I offer. So sometimes speaking the truth comes across as negative.
Exactly.
It’s not wrong to be critical.
It’s not wrong to be critical. It’s also not wrong to give praise to some people and give credit to people who play well. Uh example, EP 40 terrible for the last year and a half. Okay, I told you guys that I’m gonna rip into this guy until he he proves proves me wrong and I want him to do well. Okay, completely agree.
I just I’m just gonna just call him I just want to be very very clear and there’s other people in this channel like we can only be positive. No, no, that’s that’s craziness. But I do agree with you. We have some prospects here that are that are hopefully going to take a step and I’m I this is the plan. Abbottzford is the plan. Okay, at this stage with our roster, Abbottzford is the plan. So, those guys have to take a step. If they don’t, we’re we’re in a bit of a jam here. And let and I’m just being honest about that. So,
so just want to be clear this comment, Callum. I mean, Rev, are you being that negative? I don’t I haven’t seen you being that negative. Oh, I know it. It’s just that that I understand that people want to say, “Hey, you don’t connect.” I I’m literally the crazy one right now. I’m I am saying like I people are saying you you’re on the crazy pills or whatever. I don’t even I say no to drugs, kids. Okay. So, but but here’s the thing. I’m the one saying there’s a good chance the Canucks make the playoffs this year. No. Who else is saying that? I I might be the only guy. You might be, you know what I mean? So, it’s okay. I’m not mad. I’m not I just think it’s interesting.
Uh, but I agree there is a lot of positive things coming in the pipeline and I like that
for sure.
But, um, there are huge question marks at this stage as well.
I wanted to address this because I saw someone else in your comments saying that they’ll unsubscribe from our channel because we’re too negative. But, I did want to I did want to uh respond to that. I guess like that’s fine. If you if you want to unsubscribe to us because you think we’re too negative, that’s fine. You know, we are going to talk about the Canucks, how we want to and how we feel about it. And I this is how I feel anyways. I don’t know about whit, but I want to just this is how we feel and we should be able to say how we feel. Yeah. Yeah. And and you should it’s your channel. Do whatever you want. Um, but I I think you uh like Kox uncensored and Kempner Kox are channels that want to be have realistic takes, honest takes,
and I think that’s a really really good thing to do.
Um because like I don’t think we’re going to win the Stanley Cup this year. In fact, I might be out to lunch about us making the playoffs, but I really hope we do because I want so desperately that Quinn Hughes stays. That’s what I want. So the the the health concerns of this team is giggantuous. It’s huge.
If Dempo Demco doesn’t play like lots of games due to health, if Heedle is he’s our second line center right now. If he’s not there, I don’t know who’s feeling that. It’s It’s literally goes Person, Ratu, uh Bluger, and uh who’s the other guy? Uh
Assassin. Assassin. Or it could be I I mean that is that that’s what we’re talking about here. That’s what we’re talking about. It’s crazy.
It’s like driving a car that has broken but refurbished parts that you don’t know when they’re going to break down. Like why would you do this? It’s not a smart thing to do. But you know this is the hand that we’ve been dealt with. We have to Yes. We have to stay positive and hopefully that everything works out. But I don’t know. I wouldn’t put the I wouldn’t bet the farm on that kind of thing.
Well, uh, Rev, I I want to ask you this. Um, if we don’t do anything, okay, let’s just say we don’t do anything, this is the team we’re running with. Okay. And I use the the the Rutherford quote, if everything goes right, we’re a playoff team.
Yeah. If everything goes
If everything actually goes right with the exact team, do you think we make the playoffs with the exact team if we don’t add a top six forward or another a center or a second line center? My answer is cancel Rutherford because he’s speaking the truth. I’m joking. Um, so no, you know what? He was honest and everything went our way and we made the playoffs last year. Everything Yeah.
Yeah.
But for a team in Vancouver for everything to go right with the toughest travel schedule
Yeah.
the chances are low. Okay. Yes. If Demco was healthy all year, we probably would have made the playoffs.
I’ll say that.
I check out Demco all the time. But if he was healthy, we probably would have probably at least made the playoffs. I think so. He would have given us the three wins that we need to make it. He would have. I think so. Anyway,
so G has a really good push back for us. Okay. For especially for me, it’s the playoffs. How is it? Is is signing Evander Kane enough for the Knucks to be a contender? Where is the division? Why would Hugh stay? Okay, I’ll tell you why. This is my opinion. Because uh I don’t I don’t think uh the question is that Vander Kane doesn’t necessarily push us over the top, but if you have a healthy Demco, that alone is almost good enough to get us there. Okay. But you have Heedle’s got to be healthy. Um there’s got to be good C uh Person has to bounce back. It just it’s not even a question like and I’m talking like I’ll keep the bar low. I’ll say 80 points. Okay, 80 points. He’s got to bounce back to 80 points. If that happens if like think about it last year we every single significant player on our team got injured. Every single one. And so how do you win? How do you make the playoffs like that? You just don’t. So, uh, now you’re I didn’t say contender. I said we make the playoffs.
I I would not be surprised if we make the playoffs and lose in the first round.
But if we could find a way to win a round, that’d be awesome. That’d be awesome. I’d be very happy with that. But that that’s how I think. Am I off, guys? Am I nuts?
Well, let me ask you this, Rev. Do you think Quinn Hughes is happy just to win a round? No. I he wants to win the whole thing. But but in saying that, in saying that, I don’t think if we make the playoffs, I don’t think he leaves.
I think he says, “Okay, we’re building again.” We just had an off year. Yeah. Because like honestly speaking, even if we don’t get the two the two types of players that I think we need to get and that management wants us wants to get themselves, if you get one of them this year, the the next off seasonason, you can totally get the other piece and then we’re pretty much set cuz the defense and the and and the goalending is already set, right? So, if you just add those two players, we’ll be okay. That’s how I see it. I think we don’t always have to focus on just this season, right? Like like it’d be great if we made the playoffs and made around, but uh there’s all there’s next season to fix it. And I think for the longest time, every offseason we go into, there’s always like three to four pieces to add, but I think going to this one, we have two left. Does that make sense? Yeah. Yeah. Callum says, “Uh, for Conucksifying Success, we got an Abbeby fourth line and kids playing up and down the lineup on entrylevel contracts. vets better show up or or to the airlock. You know, that’s a good point. Uh the one guy we haven’t talked about is Carlson yet, everyone.
Like,
yeah,
what if Carlson takes a step?
That guy’s money in front of the net. Like, he’s he’s good front of the net. Well, I think that the fact that the Abby connects did so well, that’s that’s some really good positivity for us guys. Like, that’s good for the future. if we have injuries or something, we have players that can come back and make the lineup and hopefully make a difference. Yeah, I like this comment from Calvin. Not to mention Kak Uncensored is named uncensored for a reason.
Thank you, Calvin.
Your buddy uh Japan Flor says the same thing. Um uh can you imagine if you change your name to Kuck Censored? Um um okay, I like what Kevin has to say here. I really think uh all we need is Sassin, Ratu, and Carlson to come up and be golden.
I mean, that that’s a big jump for sure, but if they all did that, boy,
I just what what bothers me about this line or these players is that they might be able to make the NHL, but do they produce at a level that makes a difference in a game? Uh we’ve seen Carlson play for us and he had a couple moments that was good, but it’s it’s a different game. Like AHL, NHL, it’s a big step. So, do I want to see them progress? 100%. Will they? Up to them. Up to them.
Yeah.
Would love for this to happen.
I really like Ratu. Keep saying that. But he shown me he showed a lot the last the last the end of the season last year.
Yeah.
Looking forward to seeing him more.
And Ry Baines is uh is is also here too, right? You resigned him for two years, right? Yeah. Yeah.
He could take a step.
Uh Phillip, he’s he’s drinking my Kool-Aid. We’re definitely making playoffs.
The playoffs. Well,
you heard that first year.
We We got to hope.
Yes.
Playoff time around here. It’s fun.
Yeah. Um, so Chris asked, “Does Jet Woo get a get a shot as a seventh Eman?” Did they re They didn’t resign him, right?
I think they qualified him.
Oh, they did.
I think they did. I mean, I could be wrong, but I think I saw that.
I completely forgot about him. I I wish I I wish he gets some games.
I wish I I want him to I just want to see what he looks like. Give him a few games.
What? Oh, he’s he’s half Asian.
Give him a few games.
Yeah, they qualify him and give him a few games. Him and Topppilo got qualified. Okay. Yeah, but I think he’s an AHL guy. I don’t think he’ll ever crack the NHL lineup. My personal opinion. Uh, line change says, “Besser, Garland, and Demco are very close with Hughes. Locking up long-term can help to keep Hughes.” I like that comment. Well done. Yes.
Plus winning, of course.
Yeah, we got some.
Um, okay. So, uh, uh, we we got some love in the building here. We got some
Alred. Alfred, thank you.
Alfred, we got to get you on the show, man.
You’re next.
Yeah, I think you’re next. Alfred’s next.
Yeah. Okay. So, so, uh, let’s talk about the rest of the league here, guys. So, Mitch Mner ends up going to Vegas. Couldn’t believe it. Like, that’s a massive signing. I thought I thought a team like Calgary should have really pushed for them. And the reason why I say that, they have no elite players other than their goalie. Um and and that’s even questionable at this stage as well. Uh he’s borderline what I call elite and maybe he’s very good. Uh they don’t have any stars.
Um so what do you guys think about uh Marner landing in Vegas? Oh man, I think Vegas can be a powerhouse. Like adding Marner is pretty good. Like you can say all you want that he could have been a problem in Toronto or one of the core problems, but you you add him as as a as a piece to Vegas. Like that that’s pretty that’s a pretty strong team, man.
Oh, Vegas.
That is scary.
Vegas sounds like they’re loading up and they want another cup.
They’re scary.
Yeah, scary. I mean, I’ve always thought they were scary, but now obviously they’re even more. Who’s there? Is Aiden Hill their silver their goalie? I’m not sure.
Yeah, he is.
Yep. Yeah. Yeah. He’s solid. He’s actually from Vancouver Island, Komox area.
Crazy. I didn’t know.
I I have I had a coworker who’s literally related to him and she’s like, “Um, I think my nephew uh is doing well in the playoffs.” I’m like, “Yeah, he won the Stanley Cup.” “Oh, yeah. Yeah, it sounds like he’s going to bring the cup or something.” She said to their I don’t know. Is that is that is that important?
Yeah. Yes, that’s a big deal. Yes.
Oh my goodness. So,
what’s Toronto gonna do now? I mean, okay, so they don’t have Martyr. Do they sign anyone of significance? No. And I thought they were going to go after Brock Besser. I I if you would have said, “Where’s Brock going?” I said, “He’s going to Toronto Maple Leafs.” And I am shocked they didn’t go get him.
Right.
Wait, is Eler still out there?
Apparently.
Like, why is he not actually? No. He doesn’t want to go to Canadian team, I don’t think. Wow.
I I don’t think Elers wants the Canadian team.
Cass has had his fill of the Canadian winter.
Yeah, I think so. That’s what I heard.
Definitely Winnipeg for sure.
It’s Winter. So, is he trying to go to the States then? Probably. I heard he didn’t want to go to a Canadian team. That’s what I heard. But, uh, Conucks are trying to run it back. Is that That’s all the big headlines right now. run it back. All right. Well, we’re going to see if this strategy works. I mean, we we might be might be might be the right strategy. We’ll see.
Well, I mean, if you say run back with the team, you also have to remember that we didn’t play with the D core that we played with all year. We only played with it like that last quarter of it. And we were way way better. Like our winning percentage was way higher with that team
with that decor with DPD in it.
So, think about it like that.
I agree.
Yeah. I saw this too. Um
Mhm.
Uh he he wanted to he wants to play with Montreal because of line A. Uh that that’s possible. Uh I’ve also heard what uh Tyler and I talked about this in the first segment together
that Eers was uh was um I think we talked about it. I I mentioned it on the stream. I don’t know, three hours going by. Um uh Carolina would be a great landing spot for him. I know all the Jet fans are upset that he’s that he’s leaving. Oh, for sure.
Yeah, I would be too. Yeah, maybe he stays in Winnipeg. What if he stays?
Never thought of that. Pick pick prick fetty we trust from Winnipeg. I’m assuming one for y’all. Yeah, that’s a cool jersey by the way that he’s got. I love those Jets like all white ones like that. Those are cool when they had the white out. That just looks so awesome.
That white out.
Yeah. By the way, boy, speaking of jerseys. Okay. Yeah.
So, I I don’t know if you follow that hockey jersey company, whatever, and they do all those like big uh you pay $85 US, and it’s a mystery box. Oh, I’ve heard of that. Yeah.
I I’ I’ve been trying to get a stinking mystery box. I’ve been every time they do that I post. So it was 11 minutes in yesterday and I posted my size
and didn’t get I have not gotten back. I’m like I just want to get one of those because it’ be so fun and then you know me it’s going to like find out it’s going to be something it’s gonna be the flames and I’m going to be like losing my mind. But but like if I if I landed like a a Connor Bard uh Blackhawks I’d be like this is a I don’t I don’t even want I don’t want a signature. Okay, I just want I saw a guy, one of the Kuck fans pulled a black uh goat head Buffalo Sabers Dominic Hassik. I’m like, are you kidding?
It was awesome. Yes.
Wasn’t that the That’s the other Kuck guy on TikTok, right?
Yes.
Can’t remember. I can’t remember his name. Yeah, I know exactly what you’re talking about. Oh, that would be so awesome to get
like if you guys did it and and if like say you got a
like I think they were doing Schaers um jersey from from uh college. I mean that would be cool. Oh yeah.
Yeah.
I mean there I just I keep doing it. They never they never email me. I should check my emails while I’m saying this. Hey, look. I got it. No joke.
Wouldn’t that be awesome? Awesome.
You will have to do an unboxing on your stream, man. Oh yeah.
Yeah. I did the one for the Bertusi jersey. People like that one.
Yeah, totally.
Oh, I love that. Busuzi. Yeah. So, um, you guys are big jersey connoisseurs as well. You always are sporting them. Can I ask you a question? Where did you guys get the the Quebec Nordics one and the Northstars one? Where did you guys end up buying those from? Um, so a few years ago, well, back when the CCM jerseys were still a thing, yeah,
they were they were retailing on all different stores. Now it’s very hard to find them. And those CCM ones, they’re way better quality than the ones at uh the Roger Hardy ones. I think they’re out right now, but they were on a site called sportsk.com. I don’t know if you ever gone to there, Rev, but they used to have a vintage section, so I bought the blank ones. So I bought the blank Nordics. I bought the blank Northstars one for and they were 707 75 US plus shipping.
Yeah. So then uh Yeah. So I got those two blank. Pretty good deal. And then I had a jersey guy, local jersey guy here that I used to go to. He would give me deals on on the the numbers. So I would he would he would be able to customize any any jersey.
Oh, you need to get me in contact with that guy. Well, the problem is I would ref, but uh he’s gone he’s not in business anymore. He tells me I’m only doing it part-time. Oh.
So, I’ve been in I I I message him every year just in case he goes back into business. So, once the season starts or maybe a little bit before, I’ll give him I’ll give him a shout um and see if he’s still doing it. But, yeah, because I have still I have a few blanks that I need to uh to get done. Yeah. Yes.
Okay. Can Clay’s in the building, everyone. Yes,
it’s a lot to hope for. But if Okay, don’t be negative Clay. Just be careful, but if Clay or if, sorry, if Pey stays healthy and JDB, what’s it
Debras?
Is that De Brusk?
Man, like what is it? Clay, are you acting like the young people now with the ribs and all this stuff? You got all these like Okay. Uh Jake De Brusk and Brock Besser and EK was which get that’s Kane
all score 20 to 30 goals. We’ll be okay.
We’ll be okay.
You know what, Clay and Rev, since we need so much hope, okay, I am willing to go to church to start praying for the Canucks.
Perfect.
All right, there you go.
All right. I’m I’m willing to go I want to go to the hockey gods and and God himself. Well, just pray for health.
Yes. Health for everybody, especially the Canucks. Yes.
What just happened? 10.5 million formid
for Nate Schmidt.
Are you kidding me?
He didn’t Florida. There’s no way. This is getting crazy.
What is What is happening?
Where is that?
We got to find I don’t know where that is. I can’t see it here. Well, I’m not seeing it on the on the track.
3.5 million annual AV.
Holy cow. Yo, Clay Clay got you. Clay got you. Clay got you. Go to church.
Clay got you. Clay’s got you.
His mission is done. His mission is done.
I love it. I love it. It is so good. Oh my goodness. Definitely always guys stay healthy everyone.
Okay. 10.5 million for three years.
That’s 3.5 per year. Yeah.
Why are we paying for health when healthc care is free? Oh my goodness. This troll health care is free mean that you’re healthy. This is like this is medic med medic 101. I love it. Calvin, we need to get you on the show, too.
The Mammoth just signed him. The Mammoth got him.
Mammoth. Oh, the Mammoth. Dude, they’re making moves, man.
Yeah.
Didn’t they get JJ Pra? Is that right or wrong? I think so.
I think they did, right?
I think so.
Matt is joining the Seattle Kraken. One-year deal. That’s nothing. Sorry. I thought it was shocking news. Worth 1 million a year. Oh, well.
Yes. Rev, what do you think of the Mammoth logo and jerseys?
I love them. I love them. Now, the I wanted um Yeti. That’s what I wanted.
You wanted Yeti. Yeah.
But, uh I think they did a phenomenal job on the logo.
Um the jerseys look awesome.
Awesome.
They do. They look
the logo. I really like the the the how they did the U with the tusk. I think that’s so cool. Happy Canada Day, Clay
or Extend Americans Day. Yes.
Um,
yeah. Uh, Eugene, uh, Utah is going for it this season. That’s pretty cool, uh, that they’re trying. We’ll see what happens.
Oh, those poor Phoenix fans.
Yes. Uh uh Shannon, I’ll send you a message. We’ll we’ll talk. We’ll talk. Don’t don’t give up on YouTube channels yet. We’re we’re uh we’re just being honest and we’re having fun.
Please, Shannon, don’t give up.
Ice hockey,
not floor hockey, right? Ice hockey.
She’s a dieh hard fan. I love I love Shannon. She’s great. Her So, um
she’s been on our streams before, too, and had a good time. So,
yeah, she’s great. She’s great. Yeah, thank you.
Um, Lion Chain says Utah logo is amazing. I agree. I love the Seattle jerseys and their logo, too. I think they did a phenomenal job.
Uh, I guess out of the new ones, like a lot of people are doing really cool designs nowadays.
I guess for me, the ones that I don’t like is Anaheim’s all this the orange stuff. They’re like, “Oh, look at this.” Hold. I’m like like this is a It looks like barf. Like it’s like orange barf. Like just saying I like how they brought back the duck logo, but they needed to go back to the original colors.
Yeah.
No.
Yeah, that orange one is
because if you think about it, the other ones that were like Jagaras ones, that was definitely that those were cool.
The black ones.
No, they’re the the white and they had like purple on them.
Yeah.
Yeah, those are they need to go back to the old purple. The old purple and olives.
Yeah, those those are nice.
Those are very nice. And like uh even the Whalers ones, every once in a while I’m like, “Oh, that’s kind of nice.” I don’t know. But I don’t I love Wher stuff.
I need to get a Wher jersey.
Harford Whartford.
Gonna get like a Ron Francis of the Minnesota.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah. I want to I want a green uh Ron Francis Whalers with the with the pucky.
Okay. You guys know how I’ve got like definitely got jersey addiction issues, right? So,
oh yeah,
my next I my next jersey I want to get is the the one I sent you guys, the the white skate Gino Oic.
You gotta get it.
But I’m also considering going and getting a Abbottzford Canucks She Loves jersey. Oh, that’s pretty cool. The Abbisford Canucks jersey is pretty pretty good, too. Pretty good.
Green or white, bro?
It’s a championship, right? Like it’s the guy MVP. It’s the It’s the whole embracing what just happened. Like I don’t know.
Yeah.
Do they have uh do they have a finals patch for AHL?
Yes.
I don’t know. They should.
That’d be cool if they do and you get that on that. Yep. We We can find it. We can find some by Oh, by the way, I’m I’ve got you guys overtime here. You guys are only going to be here till 12:30. I feel bad. I’ve been keeping you. No worries. You guys got to go. But um
I love having you here and uh you guys do a great job. So there’s no there’s no pressure to leave unless you need to leave. But uh man, I I just want to give a big shout out to you guys. I’m a huge fan of you both. I love what you’re doing on your channel. I love how much content. And listen, if you guys have not followed them on Instagram, on Instagram alone, they’re worth the follow. you should follow them on Tik Tok. Um, but but watching their videos on um YouTube are great as well, but I I think your little uh your little stories and reels on Instagram are like they’re they’re amazing. So, I always look forward to them. And every once in a while there’s a surprise. I’m in them and I’m like, “Hey, that’s me.” And and I not that that that is that doesn’t sway me honestly if it’s if I’m not in it. They just do a great job. I love it. Um, I should we should add Japan 4 on here, too. He’s just too funny. I should have brought him on, too.
Well, thanks for thanks for the kind words, Revan. And of course, thanks for having us on on your stream. We love being here with you. And, uh, yeah, thanks for giving us a rub here. Uh, we’re putting out stuff daily. Um, Wit’s doing a really good job with the infographics. I mean, we’re we’re we’re tag teaming it, but a lot of the ideas is coming from him and we’re we’re working on them together. Um but yeah, if we’re we’re trying hard to get out stuff on the daily at least.
Yeah. Uh just to keep everyone engaged, you know, and you know, just back to the topic, we’re just speaking out the truth. We’re speaking out what we feel all Kuck fans are thinking and feeling. And you know what? Sometimes the truth might hurt. If you don’t like if you don’t like uh some negativity,
don’t follow us. But if you do like if you do like um you know us telling the truth and you want us to see what most Kuck fans or a lot of Kuck fans are thinking. Yeah. Give us a follow and give us uh give us give us a shout.
We’re happy to we’re happy what we’re doing and we’re having a lot of fun.
Yeah.
But yeah, you have anything to say?
Yeah. I Yeah, I really love doing this and just connecting with the people, creating things and having people engage. I love the community. love uh everybody that we get to uh you know work with and hearing um everyone’s opinions. That’s what this is all about.
Um I think that uh
you know we we’re happy when you know the Canucks do well and you know and sometimes maybe they make a move or something that’s not that’s not that good. Um and and maybe you know you might not feel good about it for for a couple days, but I think it’s totally okay to to voice that. Like I think one of my biggest ones was I didn’t really I wasn’t a huge fan of the Vanderane trade at the beginning. Like I was like devastated for the first two days, but that I’m I’m like I was devastated. And after the second day, I started telling people that this is actually not as bad as it looks, right? I started telling people that myself, but originally I didn’t have that take. I I honestly didn’t have that take. But afterwards, I I it changed up, right? And it’s okay to have that emotion at the beginning there, right? Just right. It’s it that’s just how I felt. So, I said it. And whether it came across as negative or or or positive, like that’s, you know, people can can can take it how they they they want. It’s okay. We just say what we need to say. And um thank you for for um being around and supporting us.
Let’s just say this, okay? The Conucks season last year wasn’t the greatest. We all know that, right? I mean, yeah, we barely missed the playoffs,
so there wasn’t many things to be positive or happy about. So, believe you me guys, as soon as the [ __ ] start playing better and being good and making the playoffs, dude, you will see us singing their praises and being the biggest fans because there’s a lot to cheer about. We will cheer when there’s a lot to cheer about, right?
Absolutely. Anyways, we we got to get going here. Thank you again for the time and thanks you guys uh for watching us and uh again, Rev, thanks for having us.
Yeah, you’re welcome. My pleasure.
All right, have a great Canada Day, guys. Right. Happy
day everyone. Have your day rev. We’ll see you soon.
Great. Great. Yeah. I love having these guys on everyone. These guys are amazing. So, uh, so thankful. So thankful I have Tyler on before. Um, I talked to Kut Clay. He was he was going to come on, but uh some things changed with his schedule with his family. Um, yeah. And then uh I was I was on uh Doodle Hockey uh yesterday, day before. I love the collaboration that’s going on. Nothing is perfect does a great job. Um I think I might be on his show Wednesday night, which is tomorrow night. Wow, it’s all crazy. So, there’s lots of great collaboration that’s going on. So, make sure everyone Okay, I want to get into this comment here that I saw. Where was it? Oh, Nino, listen. You’re right, man. You called it last night on the channel. Signed Brock Besser for 7* 7. Put an A on his jersey. I’m very happy to bring Brock back. Me too, man. That’s why uh like I am I am I I don’t mind the deal. I’m This is just I I’m still in shock that this has happened. I’m still in shock this has happened. So, it’s pretty crazy. It’s pretty crazy what’s going on. Um just got a message from someone. Okay. Oh, no. That’s from my wife. Okay. Um yeah. No, there’s there’s lots going on. So, all right. Um, let’s see what else is in the chat here because there’s like why isn’t Suitor signed yet? That’s my question. Where is where is that? So, the New Jersey Devils signed 31-year-old UFA Connor Brown, who used to be on the Oilers, to a 4-year, $3 million cap hit. Wow. The Oilers wouldn’t give them that, eh? Okay, so on uh Kuck’s talk right now, Sportsnet 650 just tweeted, “There was zero chance you were going to get a more efficient use of 7.5 million. This was the best case scenario for Vancouver Conucks day.” And they’re talking about the Brock Besser resigning. Um I’m surprised that Toronto didn’t go and get Brock. I I think that’s a bit of a fail on their point, but maybe they just don’t want to lock up for that long. Maybe that’s what they want to do. So, um, yeah, happy candidate, Eugene. A lot of people are got mixed feelings on Rossi, but uh I’m I’m still I’m still okay with him there. Um, oh, we were talking about line change 585. I there’s I think Do I have a picture of me and Tyler together on here? Nope, I don’t. I need to put I need to add that one. You and I hanging out together, meeting at the Kakian. That was awesome. I loved it. Loved it. Um yeah, thanks so much Japan for I appreciate you. Um, okay. Kevin says, “It’s funny that with Besser’s with the Besser news, I’m way happier with the Kane wi happier with the Kane signing.” Yeah. I mean, it’s pretty interesting. Pretty interesting. Uh, yeah, it seems like as connect fans, we’re just sitting there going, we’re all a sudden okay with this. So, uh, who’s interested in Sudter? I I don’t know, man. I I thought there was a number of teams. I’m shocked that he’s still on the board right now. Uh, the only reason I asked why is because I seen him trending on Twitter. Yeah. No, I get it. I get it. Kucks in August are interested in in Sudter at 1.8 million. Yeah. Drew to the Islanders. That was that was surprising. Rev, you have to be 5’11 if he’s 5’8. No, I’m I’m uh I’m six feet. Yeah, I’m six feet. Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely. Okay. Let’s just let’s just see if there’s any any new news coming out. Uh yeah, this Matt Murray news is not is not really great. Um if you ask me, it’s just not good enough. Where are the guys? Okay, let’s see if I can go to Puckedia and go Puckedia. Uh, free agents 2025. Now, let’s see. Nope, it’s this one here and then I’ll bring it up for all of us here. Yeah, Granland’s still not signed, everyone. I’m going to I’m going to bring this up so you guys can see it. This is who’s still available. This is craziness. Craziness. Oh, I shouldn’t do it that way because then you can’t see it. Nope. Whoa. It’s even worse. There we go. So, that’s where we’re at. This is crazy. Granland still available. Cap hit was 5 million. Eer was 6 million. PS Sudter only needed 1.6 last year. Russ Rossovich. I thought that was another guy that the Conucks would be after because he’s the centerman. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Okay. Friend just just messaged me. Oh, the happy Canada Day text message just came in. Man, this is craziness. everyone. Brent Burns, Olivesson, Skinner, Orlov, Manapenny. I like that guy. Teams didn’t go all in. Didn’t go in all in. Wow. Um, it would be nice to sign Sudter, but if we can’t, we will be okay because Evander also plays center. Does he? I don’t think he does. I think he only plays on the wing, but maybe maybe you’re right. Yeah, this this one was a crazy signing. So, and I don’t know if uh they lost him yet to Carolina, but let’s let’s see. Let’s see see if there’s anything new that’s come in. Uh, I’ll just stop sharing this. I’ll just check that out again. Any new news? That’s what I want to know. Come on. Still the Matt Murray stuff. Come on, guys. There’s nothing going on. And a lot of people thought that there wasn’t going to be a lot of good things happening, but then Vancouver Conucks fans, we’ve got a treat. So, I’m going to add now to the banner because um I didn’t like I have the the significant ones and I had UFA signings. I’m going to put now significant signings and I’m going to add and add Demco goes 8.5 million. Everyone still surprised at this deal times three years. Uh and um and Garland Garland gets um 6 million times 6 years. Anyone else that I need to add, guys, to this list? It’s almost 1:00. The the the trade deadline’s almost done here. Not trade deadline, free agency. My apologies. Oh, and I just realized I made a mistake. Anything sing Oh, the the Schmidt deal. Where did he go again? Utah. Utah. Schmidt. Which is just insane if you guys think about that. Like who why would they spend that much money? We had him. Eh, we totally had him. Where is that news? It is right here. Oh my goodness. My wife is recording me doing a stream. Yes, I’m doing a stream right now. This is it. This is me live. Be me live right now. This is what I’m doing on Canada today. All right. Big smile on my face. Okay, let’s go back to Utah. No, I thought it was 10 million. It was only 3.5. That’s not sign. What? Where did I see 10.5? Must be wrong on that. 3.5 million times what? Three years was it? That’s not bad. I I’m totally okay with that. Yeah. Times three years. And I’ll put that in there and we’re good to go. All right. Let’s see. Let’s see this new ticker here. Okay, nothing is perfect is in there. I’m just here to like the video. Stuck at my day job. Yeah, I’ll be I think I’ll be able to be on your show tomorrow night, man. Looking forward to it. I Everyone hit the like and subscribe for Nothing is perfect as well. Um Dollywal on X says, “Grandlin decision holding up things in the center market for guys like Sudter.” Makes sense. Makes sense. I heard the new CBA that they can only get him only get $1 million from original contract. So suitor could only get 2.5. Um I don’t know if that’s true. I don’t know if that’s true. Yeah. Poor Russ. He’s got to work. That sucks, man. Sucks. Okay. So there’s lots going on. There’s lots going on. The Demco news, the Garland news, the Basser news, like Vancouver has stolen the show on free agent frenzy. That is nobody saw that coming. That is I got to make a I got to make a I’m going to make a little video on that. Um maybe right after this is done. So yeah. Yeah, I got that uh Rome as you can see on the bottom there. I just got it there. Utah, right? That’s good. Kevin says Besser to Conucks is the best signing in the last eight years. Wow. That’s a good question. Well, yeah. Person wasn’t. No, Quinn Hughes. The Quinn Hughes sign is better. Your sign on the left should be better placed so it’s readable for us. Uh, well, it’s because I moved these. I put the Canada guys up right now. So, normally normally like you just look at it here, you can see it better, right? But I wanted Lango and Crosby. It’s Canada Day. So, yeah. But I appreciate it. I’m also redesigning this whole thing going into next season. I’ve got an awesome plan. I can’t wait. My wife’s going to help me. It’s going to be great. Lion signs with Buffalo for two years. One. Wow. That’s small but might be significant. What what are they doing in um Detroit? H interesting. Interesting. Um people are saying on Twitter, uh people freaking out about Alvine saying that they’re going to run Pey and Heedle as the one and 2C. It’s literally July 1st. There have been no trades. There are there were virtually no free agents available. Let things shake loose. Teams will be making adjustments all summer. Just wait and see. It’s true. That’s a good point. I’m going to say I’m I’m going to respond. That’s a great point. Time will tell. Okay. And then I got to I got to have some kind of thing about uh a GIF with time. Uh, that’s awesome. One. Got the Jim Carrey going. It’s awesome. Um, your sign on the left should be real for us. Okay. The other one. What about the jersey? What do you mean? What do you mean? By the way, guys, this is um this is uh Crosby jersey. This is the Eric Lindros jersey. Team Canada. Two of my favorite favorite jerseys right there. Um yeah, they they are amazing. They’re amazing. Not on your shelf. Uh sign on the wall. Okay, I need to scroll up. Just seeing what you guys said. They took care of uh their own business. Now it’s just the center position they need to fill now. Yeah. Really? And in all honesty, that’s what it’s at, right? That’s where it’s at. Sign on the wall. Oh, cuz I need my jerseys to come down farther. Yeah, I know. I couldn’t I couldn’t get them any further down. Oh, here. I I know. I like that. How’s that? Is that better? That better? Yeah, that looks better. Shoot. I should have done that from the beginning. Oh. Oh, well, it is what it is. Looks good now, eh? Okay, let’s see if there’s any other news that’s come out. Uh Alvine said on about Brock Besser, Brock is a leader and a culture setter in our locker room and we’re confident he will continue to play an important role for our team moving forward doing great work both on and off the ice. Oh, I like that. Like that. If I ever hear Alvine disrespect him again, I’ll be on site. Okay, that’s what this person says. Um yeah, you should give him the A. You should give him the A. Give him the assistant captain. The Kings are going nuts. Corey Perry, Cody Cece, Anton Forsber, D uh Dulom and Armina Armena. Armina. Yeah. I don’t know. Is Is that great? I don’t know. That doesn’t really sound amazing to me. I mean, they’re additions, but it’s not like I’m going to get like super pumped about it. Anyways, interesting. Interesting. All right, everyone. It’s 1:00. It’s been 3 hours. Uh I know something’s going to come out in the last few minutes. I feel like I’m I’m uh good to go. Uh we’ll we’ll do something higher. Uh, still still can see the sign on the wall. Uh, oh, you mean this one? This one right there. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Says, uh, I am a hockey fan with fire in my heart. Okay. Uh, and ice in my veins. And I think No, I think that a jersey is high fashion. Stanley is synonymous with sacred. There you go. There you go. That’s the one. Yes. Yes. I guess I should have put it farther down. Yeah, that’s a good point. I’ll probably end up doing that. It looks good in my office right now. Like the way it is designed, but and these these are pretty cool. I want to make sure I don’t knock this over. These are awesome. Like when the connect score and you get one of those things. It looks really dirty though.
