I continue on who are the Winnipeg Jets, what do they need, and who should they add?

Feel free to add your 2c, any comments or questions are appreciated.

  1. I was pretty keen on Granlund/Suter. Sounds like Suter is going to sign again in Vancouver though, and Jets are unlikely to win the bid for Granlund who I think might be more interesting stylistically as a potential center ***with*** Ehlers as opposed to replacing him. He was great in SJ with the young dynamic skaters they have there.

At the end of the day as a Jets fan I don’t feel like I have the luxury to expect anything great from FA, and if we make an underwhelming move like Boeser I can’t really judge Chevy for that.

Strong chance the Jets if anything will get the leftover scraps.

I am going to be so heartbroken if Ehlers leaves.

  2. If they choose poorly I suspect media/fans will chase Perfetti out of town by the end of the season. Toews can do no wrong in some eyes and somebody like Boeser would be used on the top powerplay and get his points there. Eventually they would put somebody like Barron or Iafallo in his place and bump him down to the 4th line since the Jets would never use him on the 3rd line. I might be a glass half empty type of person.

  3. Any thoughts on Jeannot for 4th line duty? It would be nice to have another guy to handle things to take the pressure off of Lowry. It seems that was a big part of having Stanley in the line up. With Jeannot there would be some support along with Schenn.

  4. How bad does Ryan Graves grade out? Looking at the Pens roster you’d have to assume Dubas wants to clear as much dead weight as possible. Assuming Ehlers walks does a deal for Rust or Rakell plus taking on the negative value Graves contract make any sense? Stanley or Schenn going the other way plus pick / mid prospect.
