I hate this contract bc it walks him right to free agency if I’m not mistaken. I would’ve gone up in value for term absolutely
2×3.625
Darche stays COOKING.
About what I expected. Not bad!
Hell yeah brother
Do you think Darche didn’t want term or he didn’t want term? Was hoping we could lock him in for a bit longer, this brings absolutely everyone up to the two year line (except Lee and Pageau of course)
AWESOME. When everyone else shit all over this kid i suspected he would pan out pretty good and he has. One of the more effective forwards the last year or so. Good job hanging on to him at a reasonable price.
REALLY liking what Darche is doing so far.
Great deal for both sides. Should be very good value the next two years for the Isles and then they’ll still have him as an RFA after when he should be in line for a nice pay raise if he keeps developing.
was hoping for 4, but he took a great price at 3.5
Perfect
Perhaps our brightest spot last year and consistently one of our best players. I would not have minded an extra year or two – but this kid is a keeper
Love it. This deal says to Holmie, “now go prove it”. I think he will.
I expect similar for Tsyplakov. Maintains maximum flexibility. If he emerges as a 30-30 guy this year, instantly becomes a top tier trade asset. If not, even at 20-20 thats good value and lets them see if he takes a step year after.
I was very skeptical of this pick initially but my god was I wrong. This kid has improved year over year. His defense is so strong for his age. His scoring touch is clutch and I’m here for that toothy smile. Love Simon
Man I was really hoping we’d give him an 8×8 tbh
Excellent news for a player that seems to get better every year.
Wild how he and Kaliyev diverged, I was pretty annoyed we didn’t take the latter.
Fuck yeah, love Holmie. He just keeps getting better
Rfa still after two years?
See now this I like. Any word on tysp?
I like this a lot
Amazing. He was a bright spot last year for sure and keeps improving every year
