Hope everyone’s doing well. We got game three of this series between the Athletics and the Rays going down on Wednesday. You know, we saw the G uh game one, the Athletics pulled out a nice six to4 win. You know, in that game, the Athletics came out strong. I think the score was four to zero. Tampa Bay Rays or the Tampa Bay Rays made it pretty interesting. They tied it up, but really the Athletics just played played a better ball game. Um they hit the ball more consistently in that one. They were able to score some some runs late and then Tampa Bay just couldn’t keep up. So, shout out to Ace for picking up that win. And when you look at this Tampa Bay team, you know, we saw them go on that hot streak. uh beating some very good teams, winning on the road, winning at home. But we saw them going to Baltimore on the weekend. They lost two out of the three games in that series, and then they lose game one of this series. I’m not saying that Tampa Bay is going to go on a little bit of a slump, but it definitely seems like they’re coming back to a baseline. They’re coming back to earth a bit. We’ll see how it plays out. I’m recording this before game two, so I don’t know what the result of that game will be. But for them to lose game one, they were what, close to minus 200 favorites in that game. They had their their ace Drew Rasmusen on the mound for them to lose that one. A little bit concerning. You know, this really isn’t a a race team that I’m I’m rushing to the window to back right now. Um especially after that performance. When you look at this pitching match up, I think this is a pretty even pitching match up. You got Mitch Spence on the mound for the Athletics and Ryan Pepoid on the mound for the Rays. You know, Mitch Spence coming in with a what’s his erra? a 382 erra is actually pretty damn impressive because you got to think he pitches, you know, half of his starts, well, probably more than half of his starts in that really hitter friendly ballpark in Sacramento. And his splits show that on the road, he’s a actually a really good pitcher. I mean, on at home, his RA is a 565. On the road, his RA is a 231. So I think if Mitch Spitz, you know, pitched for a team that didn’t have to play in such a hitter friendly ballpark, he would actually be a damn good pitcher and his erra would would reflect that. So I actually like how Mitch Spence has looked. Ryan Pepoid on the other hand, he’s coming off a start in that weird game where, you know, the Orioles put up 22 runs. He allowed four earned runs in that game. Definitely not Pepioid’s best start, but I think Pepu’s still pretty pretty solid. So honestly, I think this is somewhat of a even pitching matchup. And with an even pitching matchup, with the way the Rays have been playing over their last few games, I’d rather attack some plus money here. That’s my ideology in this one. I’m going to be on the Athletics. If you don’t want to get involved with that bullpen, because I understand the Athletics bullpen is sketchy. Maybe a Athletics first five could be a play, but I’m just going to take the Athletics on the money line. You know, I liked how they looked in game one. Um, and yeah, and just a matchup that I think is very even. I rather have some plus money. So, I’m gonna be on the ace. Give me the ace on the money line here. Not my favorite play. I will say that. Not my favorite play. Probably not a game I’m gonna bet. I’m really having troubles finding an edge in this one.
