  1. We got youth that needs to step up, but man, I would’ve been in the camp of keeping JvR

  2. Im literally crying over this news, i thought he was so important to our team last year and he was one of my must—re-signs

  3. I am highly disappointed in this one! I didn’t expect a long contract, but seeing him go sucks

  4. I am not too surprised by this. We have too many young players that have got to step up. KJ and Fantilli both took huge strides last year.

Need to see Chinakov wake up a bit more. Hope he got his injury figured out.

  5. Wasn’t he a healthy scratch down the stretch? It was clear he didn’t have a future here as much as most of us me included like him

  6. Going from JVR to Miles Wood feels like a step down and we are paying more for Wood.

I get we have players in the pipeline that need to step up as someone else mentions here, but it makes me question why Wood was even part of that trade.

From what we read this year, JVR wanted to be a part of this Columbus nucleus.

  7. Funny. I seem to remember a lot of people in here bitching like crazy when we signed him last year.

Can’t wait for Charlie Coyle to pull the exact same shit and prove all these guys wrong.

  8. I was really hoping we would keep him :c  Wood feels like a step in the wrong direction imo.

I liked him before but after he left money on the table to help us out after the worst thing that can happen to a team, I think I have a brand new appreciation for him as a person.

  9. Damn. He had some real clutch goals and was such a solid netfront presence. Feels like maybe Boone and Vrony are the only ones who like playing there we’ve got on roster.

  10. There’s a guy who sits next to me who brought his 5-year-old granddaughter to a few games last year. She spent the entirety of those games chanting “J-V-R” at the top of her lungs, stopping only to cram Jet’s pizza into her food hole.

Pour one out for that little girl.
