it’s unbelievable i mean something you’ve always dreamed of as a kid so it’s kind of a crazy feeling there’s not even feelings right now for me i’m shocked and I’m so excited and such a great organization i actually know quite a few of the guys so I’m so pumped
what are the conversations like with the team you know back at the combine and things like that yeah 100% they were they were awesome they’re awesome to talk to and um super nice and we had a good good talk there and I think uh put herself on a good first step there and I think just transitioned well and it was Yeah it was awesome
usually you got to win the Stanley Cup or the Super Bowl to say you’re going to Disneyland but they’re taking a few minutes here how about that little touch and uh just the kind of serendipity of it being you know down the road here
yeah 100% i mean that’s that’s awesome and I got two younger sisters too that’ll that’ll love that coming as well and there’s I think 30 of us here so there’ll be so many people that love that and I think it’s awesome that they do that and I’m I’m I’m so excited for that
see it just sort of makes sense with your last name the song that you chose uh you know to to be able to be at Disney cars all that sort of stuff just what is that that’s kind of fun right it’s a makes like a a good connection
100% i mean especially going here with Disneyland right here i mean it’s it’s it’s pretty fun picking the song i kind of just uh throw uh thought I’d throw something fun in there but uh yeah 100% i mean it’s it’s cool to be able to go here and uh have that as my last name but uh yeah it’s it’s amazing you’re more of a beach guy or a mountain guy
uh I’d say a mix of both i I I love hot weather so that that’s awesome but I I I like uh I like a bit of the cold from back from Saskatoon just lived there for so long i think I’ve built some of that but uh I’m a bit of both i love I love the beach don’t get me wrong but uh got a bit of both in me so
you mentioned Becket Senica you didn’t have quite the reaction he did did you have an indication they might pick you
um I Yeah a little bit i mean obviously not the same as same as him back then but uh yeah I think I I I was really hoping to go here and I was so happy to to get chosen here but I think uh yeah I figured a little bit uh depended on what they were going for but I was I was like I said so so excited
