NHL Warmup & Gear Breakdown | Dallas Stars | Jake Oettinger & Casey DeSmith
my name is Chris Dudo and I’m the goalie gear snob and this is my final warm-up and gear breakdown of the 2024 2025 NHL season so yes my name is Chris Dudo i’m the emergency backup goalie and this was the basically one of the final games I was at and I was filming the stars here to kind of break down their gear so while I did serve 41 home games this year and I got to see them a lot this is just one time that I did film them and I’m very excited to be able to talk about them and talk about their gear but before I get into that I just want to say a huge thank you to the Dallas Stars organization for trusting in me to work with them for the past 2024 2025 season i worked a lot with their skills coach the equipment staff uh the trainers i mean every guy that was injured this year that had to come back to get cleared I worked with them whether it was for two skates three skates 10 skates 12 skates that spanned a month or two i mean I was out there a lot with these guys um when Jake was at the foreign nations faceoff I was there during those practices i mean I did a lot with the team this year and I cannot thank uh everyone on the the basically like the management side enough for trusting in me and of course huge thank you to the players for still just kind of treating me like one of the regular players and scoring on me like they would with any of the other guys so I did just want to give one final shout out to Jeff Reese their goalie coach who was super cool to me this entire year and got to work with me a lot and share some tidbits and information to Jake and Casey you guys were fantastic to work with this year and to Stan the skills coach i mean he overused me quite a bit uh but I was enjoying a lot of those practices so thank you to everyone there but now getting into the gear we’re going to start with Jake Ainger who interesting interestingly enough made the switch to Bower Fly Light Pads this past off season so he basically has worn an ultrasonic the entire time that he’s been in the NHL dating back to that first cup run in 2020 uh in that bubble year uh and then he switched to Hyperllight twos for a small tiny little bit of time ended up getting hurt in them ditched them went back to the ultrasonics now he’s back wearing the Fly Light he made that offseason change right before the beginning of the season of course he still has a shadow graphic across the pad glove and blocker but he’s using the Fly Light pads and then the ultrasonic glove and blocker that he has never changed away from despite what Mr bower tells you then he’s also using Vaughn SLR3 NHL spec pants a Brian’s Optic 2 chest Bower Hyperlite 2 wrap sticks that are actually a 2X Pro Core with his very unique trigger grip built in there he’s also using a Bower profile helmet painted by Dave Art and Drew two-piece skates with the Bower Vertex edge holder interestingly enough he also uses a Von cup van knee pads and a Von padded shirt that he cuts in half like a little bit of a bib that kind of wears an extra neck guard that he also wears uh underneath of his pastel rough neck neck guard looking at Casey to Smith here he is using a lot of True Gear kind of a lot of other gear I would say is standard for a lot of the NHL goalies so he is using true PX5 pad glove and blocker specifically the 600 glove and the 595 blocker with OPI angle inside of it he’s also using Von SLR3 NHL spec pants a CCM Pro NHL spec chest with a CCM Pro neck guard underneath which is kind of like that half shirt uh then he is also using True 9X4 sticks and then the playoffs he did switch to the smoke sticks and then he is also using a Pro’s Choice helmet with a gorgeous kind of train track style paint job uh paint job on it i really like how it came out here then he’s using true two-piece skates with a stock shift holder and by the time this video has come out uh the Stanley Cup has been raised uh although I wish it was the stars i wish their run went a little bit deeper i just can’t thank them enough for being super cool to me and working with me this entire year and I can’t wait to see what happens in the future so now that I got that all out of the way let’s enjoy this warm-up of the Dallas Stars featuring my friends Jakeer and Casey Deith heat hey heat hey heat heat heat hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey heat heat hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey Hey hey hey hey hey hey hey perfect perfect perfect perfect perfect perfect perfect cody perfect heat heat n me oh hey If you like this week’s warm-up video please make sure that you subscribe to the channel as I upload new videos every Wednesday and if you want to watch more NHL warm-ups click that playlist right there
