The St. Louis Cardinals Get BLANKED AGAIN! What Is Happening?!
Well, that was miserable. Hey, it’s JD from Locks on Cardinals. And for the third game in a row, the Cardinals failed to score a single run. They get blanked by the Pirates five to nothing and get swept in the series. The failure to hit with runners in the scoring position is the root of all this evil. It has gotten to Defcon 1 territory, folks. Cardinals had leadoff doubles in the first and second. Can’t get them in. Had a one-out double in the third inning. Can’t get them in. The Cardinals were 1 for 10 on Wednesday with runners in scoring position and two for 23 in the series. Terrible. Not having Ivon Herrera, Wilson Contreros, and Nolan Aronado in the lineup doesn’t help the cause. But still, time after time, they fail in situations to simply move runners over to give them a better chance at scoring. The Cardinals have been shut out five times in their last eight games. And that’s not a blip now. That is a trend. And now they go to Chicago to face the Cubs. And you think playing in Pittsburgh was tough, how about Wrigley Field on a holiday weekend with the home team at first place and their arch rivals Reeling.
