  8. Getting rid of legal gambling just drives people to illegal gambling, day trading stocks, or using vpns to gamble in other countries where’s it’s legal. Regulation isn’t the answer.

    First thing you can do is raise your kids right, second thing is check in on your family and friends. Outside that, accept that vices are something man has struggled with since we first fermented alcohol.

    To put this in perspective, what is a population we all associate with suicide? Veterans, right? The suicide rate for veterans is 1.5 times higher than the general population.

    You are 10 times more likely to commit suicide becoming a gambling addict than you are having fought in a literal war.

    Getting ride of these fucking gambling adds and heavily regulating the space, is literal suicide prevention. Its fucking disgusting how out of control this has gotten.
