MLB Highlights | Yankees vs. Blue Jays – July 2, 2025

[Music] down the right field line. It is a fair ball. Here’s Jimenez. Here’s Springer. Guerrero stops at third. It’s a tworun double for Alejandro Kirk. Infield back for the Yankees. And now Addison Barger. Straight away center gone. [Music] What a start for the Blue Jays here tonight. Five batters in. It’s five to nothing.
Right off the bat, really a good approach to this baseball and it just really stayed up and out over the plate. as he
now Schneider. And Schneider hits one high and deep to left. And that is going to go. This is unbelievable stuff from the Blue Jays right now. Barger and Schneider each homering on the first pitch.
Middle you have to lay off cuz it’s going away. This one started at him and it came right back over to the middle of the plate. Best version of yourself up and down to the order.
Lament with a ground ball to short and the Yankees turn the double play. End of two here for the Rogers Center. Seven to nothing for the Blue Jays. Few weeks before anybody caught up to him. So, I’m back to that little toe tap now. A little more abbreviated.
Look at this. Off the glove of Warren and safe at the plate is Wagner and Jimenez into second. And when it’s going your way, it’s going your way. Up the middle, a base hit. Dominguez is going to get the wave and come to score. And the Yankees are on the board. This one’s lined into right. It’s another base hit. Vulpi is going to come in to score. Around to third comes Lamew. And that’s four hits in a row. It is now 8-2. High in the air to deep center and off the wall. The throw back into the infield. One more run is in. An RBI double for Judge who just missed a homer. Highf fly ball deep center. And it’s gone. Stanton with his first home run of the season. And the Yankees have scored six here in the fifth inning. to drive it. And I think that’s answered your question. You’re seeing diminished pitches. And now we are. Back to him. Ground ball backhanded. There’s one on to first, but not in time. So, it’ll be a fieldielder’s choice, an RBI, and it’s a one-run game. And a ground ball right to short. Bulby to second and on to first. A double play. A big hit in this game. A two-run homer in the first. He’s also flyed out twice. And he lifts this one to right center. It is gone. A two home run night for Davis Schneider. And it is nine to seven. And it’s hit a mile to left field and the Yankees have tied it. That’s the gamble. There is a reason why he’s the greatest hitter on the planet. Every pitch Jimmy threw, it got Aaron back into the count. And if you don’t execute, he will. Obviously missed his spot too with where he wanted that breaking ball. Of course, it’s about execution, but in this situation, [Applause] he gets one and it bounces away and in to score is Springer with the go-ahead run. Line to left. That is a base hit. And Guerrero comes in to score to make it a two-run lead. And the pitch and it’s popped up right near the plate. Kirk is there. Gives way to Guerrero. And the Blue Jays win the ball game. [Music]

The Toronto Blue Jays continue to roll as they secured the series win with an 11-9 victory over their division rivals the New York Yankees.

  1. Blue Jays from the 3rd inning to the top of the 8th inning were looking a lot like the Leafs, finding unimaginable ways to choke in a way only Toronto teams know how to. Feels weird that we ended up winning, even weirder that weโ€™re now first in the AL East.

  2. We got a championship team right here. I don't know if we can pull it off but our offense is more than capable. Beating the Yankees 3 in a row like this and putting up 28 runs against them is pretty crazy. We do need more home run hitters though I think if we want to take it to the next level

  3. Why did Sportsnet cut their highlight package from 8 to 10 minutes to 5 or 6? This is useless. So much interesting content just ignored for the sake of brevity or to get it out before the MLB channel?
Guess I'll just have to wait for the MLB highlight package from now on.

  4. If anyone from Sportsnet is reading this, please make this video longer, 5 mins is too short. I now watch the MLB vids which are 11 minutes and perfect without watching Jays in 30. Thanks

  5. Thank you to John Schneider for managing a good Blue Jays team for a 3 out of 4 series win against the Yankees. Also, for being a good manager. Hopefully, the Blue Jays can get a sweep.

    Let's Go Blue Jays ๐Ÿ’™

  6. Pitching to Aaron Judge as the tying run in the 8th inning is so beyond unnecessary and reckless.
The guy is the reigning two time MVP, who pretty much hit 30 HR before July.
Oh, and he hits .350 with a 1.200 OPS, just for shits and giggles.
And, as donโ€™t wanna hear the lefty/righty match-up nonsense.
Plus, this was Yimi Garciaโ€™s first appearance since missing like 6-weeks with shoulder injury.
Terrible decision making by a Manager with a history of such.
