#DallasCowboys Fish at 6 LIVE Report: Watt Just Crushed Micah Idea; Break Glass Emergency Signings
Yeah, we might have us a new smidge of Micah trouble. I’m Mike Fischer, your trusty and trusty reporter. This is the fishbowl. That is the star. And inside the star today, assuming that the people upstairs are are working. Right. Um, today they must have got a little down their shoulder, a little little shiver down their spine. And I’m here to explain why. Inside your Dallas Cowboys. Get in, get on, be good. Bring something of intellect to the table. Three items on the fish for dinner menu tonight. Little Mic trouble. Number one, break glass and cage of emergency at training camp. Number two, and three, the thing you knew. What’s going on here? That thing you knew about Pickkins versus the exploration of another wide receiver trade. Let’s dig in. Confirmed item number one. This comes out of Pittsburgh. There’s the six bongs on the wall, by the way, for those of you who embibe. Uh, this has kind of been rumored, but I always thought it was ridiculous. I thought the idea of TJ Watt saying, you know, I’m 31, not coming off a great year. I think I’ll take 4140 million, too. I I think I’ll be the highest paid non-quarterback in NFL history. Diddly diddly dink. What? Cowboys fan. I hear that TJ Watt’s not happy and there’s a trade. No, there’s no trade. The the Steelers have made it really clear that that is not their plan. So, every city, every website and every city is saying, “What about TJ Wat to us, including the Eagles?” It’s not the Steelers plan. Nor should it be. They’ve made all these moves to try to get better and paid all the other guys and now they’re not going to pay their best player and keep him. Nonsense. If you could trade TJ Watt for a comparable player who was younger and cheaper, but why is the other team doing that? I wouldn’t worry too much about a TJ Watt trade uh Eagles or anywhere else at this point. Here’s what you should worry about. If TJ Watt is serious about saying, “I I guess I should be the highest paid non-quarterback in NFL history, then your guy’s going to say it.” And the price just went up. Dallas 21. That’s correct. If if Miles Garrett gets 40 and then TJ Watt at age 31 gets 41, then Micah gets and is there is there enough money to go around? I mean, you know, you’re going to make it work. 40 42 39 35 you’re going to make it work. But Micah is the one who recently cautioned the Cowboys by saying the longer we wait the more it’s going to I mean he said it and now here we are. It’s it’s a situation where the price tag’s going up for Micah and it’s TJ Watt’s fault, but it’s also Jerry’s fault and it’s also David M’s fault. And you know what? Micah’s done a really good job. Micah understands the media. How could he not? He’s got so much practice. He’s done a really good job making him not the bad guy here because he keeps saying how much he wants to be here. And he even says things like, “I don’t need to be the highest paid.” And yet here we are. There’s no Micah trade. There’s no TJ Watt trade. It’s not about that. It’s about each of these guys now. And you can include, as we do in the thumbnail, Trey Hendrickson. Each of these guys going, “I’ll wait. I’ll wait for him.” I’ve seen a lot of national media people saying, “Mike is just waiting for Watt.” Well, they’re forgetting. No. And Watt’s waiting for Micah and Hendrickson’s waiting for Watt. And right now, the Raiders feel pretty good about Max Crosby. Like, we got got ours done early enough. We didn’t have to do it for 40. Had Max Crosby waited until today, he would get to say, “I want to be the highest paid.” Robert Pollson sounds dysfunctional up there in the Jones family suite. Not anymore than usual. MP Jerry somewhat to blame for the record contracts. He gets the credit and he gets the blame. Item two. I have created my Cowboys insider break glass in case of emergency cornerback at training camp list at training camp. Not doing this today. Frederick Sykes, I finally caught Uncle Fish live. Now I can say I had fish for dinner. Cowboys, the Cowboys believe that if everybody here was healthy, they’d have one of the best quarterback rooms in the NFL. Now, that might be a little homerisism on their part if everybody was healthy. But really, think about it. Think pretend you’re them and think about it. And you are kind of them, aren’t you? You got the playmaker, one of the all-time playmakers really, and Trayvon Digs. You have Deron Bland who’s right there with him. You have a first round talent in Ker Elim, the trade from the Bills. And you have the rookie promise of Siobhan Revel who people say had he not had the injury he might have been a first round pick. Maybe if you were healthy diggs with Bland Elum and Rell you you really could say that we’re you could say we’re loaded but wonk not healthy. Diggs rehabbing might be mid-season before he’s right. Even though his targeted goal in his own heart and soul is week one. Rell could be ready much sooner, but he’s an unknown even when he’s ready. Elim really good off season here. But until further notice, he’s the Buffalo Bills think he’s a bust and they they’ve seen him. You haven’t. So, let’s put together and and I’ve called this group now Bland and Blanderon. Get it? What’s the Cowboys quarterback room like? Bland and Blander. Should Dallas make a call for veteran free agent quarterback help? Now, it’s immaterial because they’re not going to, but that doesn’t mean they won’t. Chris West, Uncle Fish, I’m willing to travel from Youngstown, Ohio to see the fish heads collect at the Maverick Bar. Friday announcement on a big get together in season watching party Maverick Bar in DFW. Come on. They’re not going to call now. They’re going to get to camp and then see what they have. By the way, this is not a unique position of the Cowboys. You I I can cite at least five other teams that I’ve seen that similar story in the last week. Eagles, we’re going to wait on this guy. We’re going to wait on that. You know, it’s okay. DB Cooper, Uncle Fish Premium, sidebar, why don’t they increase the roster size for game day? Let me tell you why. What? Now, I’m not saying they should have 90man rosters. Why is there Why are there activives and inactives on Sunday? Why aren’t there 53 guys? It’s illogical to not have 53 guys. It only hurts the team to not have 53 guys. And it hurts those guys over there that were hoping to play all week. Here’s why. Because the NFL players association has never thought to go, “Hey, NFL, get rid of that. It does nobody any good.” Used to be called the taxi squad. Remember that? There was a taxi squad. Then we made it a practice squad, and now we got inactives. Why? You got 53 men, but you have to decide that seven of them don’t get why. And the answer is the NFLPA has never had the brains, the balls, or the muscle to think to insist on getting rid of the inactive list. That make any sense? Can you imagine? We got 25 healthy baseball players. We’re ready to go. Sorry, you only get to play 19 of them. Why? Here’s my list of four. Stefan Gilmore, our old friend Gilly pedigree, won the NFL defensive player of the year award in 2019. That was a long time ago, but you know what have you done for me lately, man? You leader in the locker room, played hurt, good player. He’s going to turn 35 in September. He’s a comforting name, but that age is a little concerning. Next, Asante Samuel Jr. He’s only 25. He’s coming off a couple of nasty injuries. He doesn’t want to sign yet. He wants to get healthy and I I think he thinks that if I can prove I’m healthy, I’ll get more money. He’s going to undergo a medical check at the end of this month. I think that’s why he’s choosing to wait. He was a second round pick and he’s 25. Got to see if he’s not hurt. So, there’s a good reason to wait on him. Item three, guy three, Rasul Douglas, physical player. Uh, 2023 had five interceptions and a pick six in Buffalo. But he turns 30 next month. Why didn’t they keep him? By the way, please do hit the like button. It tells the algorithms on YouTube the kind of cowboy programming you like. I think it helps me uh it might help pay the light bill in Marshia’s mansion and it gives me warm fuzzies. Rousul Douglas except why don’t the Bills want him and item four. Mike Hilton is 31 and he’s going to want to get paid. So yes, Curt S, you’re right. Give the young players a chance. That’s what they will do. young players is how you beat young cheap players is how you beat the cap. If if you can find a million-doll starter and he’s just as good as a $10 million starter, it’s a no-brainer. And if one of them’s 23 and one of them’s 33, that’s a no-brainer, too. Hilton’s 31. He’s all over the field. Really good in the slot. eight-year career, 13 interceptions, 12 sacks. I mean, he’s a quarterback who records sacks. He’s a tackler. Cover, tackle, slot, blitz. I think he’s waiting. I don’t think teams are waiting. I think he’s waiting. I think he’s thinking, I don’t need to go to the first week of training camp. I don’t need to go to a mini camp. I I’ll I’ll I’ll I’ll be ready when I’m ready and I want to get paid. This is a break the glass emergency cowboy list for me. Hilton Rousul Asante and Gilly. Uh take out your number two pencils and scribble those down. And item three, and I’ll close with this because it’s date night. So, uh, Rashad Baitman comes out this week and says, “Yeah, I the Cowboys Cowboys were trying to trade for me and the the Ravens told me about it, which is cool.” Um, speaking of Cowboys trades, Michael Evans, why is ESPN still pushing this about a Kyle Pitts trade to Dallas? I will take Kyle Pittz if you’ll give him to me. But forget the reputation. Watch him play. Kyle Pittz is not better than the tight end you already have. He’s not. He might be cooler. I don’t know. But he’s not better. Actually, uh, Big Biscuit’s pretty cool. He’s got a good nickname. He’s got a semi-famous, attractive sweetheart and he made a Pro Bowl here when he was healthy. Kyle Pittz is cooler. If you told ESPN, if you told some people at ESPN, do a story on Kyle Pittz getting traded, they go, yeah. If you said, do a story on the Cowboys tight end getting traded, they’d go, what’s his name? So Baitman in in Baltimore comes out and says, “Yeah, the Cowboys were trying. I’m glad it worked out here.” Of course, you got a new contract there. Here’s the question and here’s the fun that we can watch now. because I’ i’ve watched Rashad Baitman and I’ve watched George Pickins and in terms of which one I’d rather have, not even including the money because Baitman just got paid, not even including the money, George Pickins is a complete another level than Rashad Baitman. So, we got to work through the baggage. You got to cross your fingers on that. And we don’t know what’s going to happen contractually ne when it comes his time or if you let him go and take the comp pick. But the Cowboys do deserve a little credit here. They picked and poked around and they picked and poked the right one. Baitman, you stay in Baltimore and you get paid and you’re a little bit above a Jag, I think. Pickings, you come to Dallas and you might be a star. Fish out.

This nonsense gets old if you want Parsons sign him, if not trade him. Just dumb
Are we already missing Jordan Lewis?
Jerry and Stephen are Morons!! Why do they always want to pay players more than they have to!! Totally don't Understand!!
And that’s exactly why Micah has waited to sign!!!
Cowboys front office, especially both jerry and stephen would have been fired 20 years ago. They are the definition of inept and insane. They don't seem to realize this isn't 1990's anymore. They have been using the same failed, old, tired policies for 30 years with the same results. How in the world did jerry succeed in the business world? He is an Al Davis clone, and that's not a compliment, the bloom is off the rose!!! 🙄
Shut up, dumb topic
Who gives a shit Fish, they’re all overpaid
This is why your love of the dumb ass “deadlines make deals” quote is so ridiculous. Bottom 5 front office in the NFL….and that’s being generous. Keep pouring the blue kool aid, though.
Fish!? Question! What are your thoughts?
So Micah is getting quarterback money eventually. He would probably to prefer two separate 4 year deals to capitalize.
But why don't the Jones's try to give him a QB type deal that is heavy on years & guarantees to make it more team friendly and possibly signable now. 10 year 375 million.
Much better than going through this BS twice just like they did with DAK.
The angle is he's not actually a quarterback. BUT we'll pay you like one. Micah gets all the money. The team is better per year.
Micah was blowing smoke he was ready to deal and now it's gone up in smoke
When was last "genius" Jerry/Stephen trade or negotiation they pulled off… I'm waiting
There's one certainty in the NFL every new contract at every position is the new benchmark.
You think that they would have learned a lesson with the DAK contracts
This whole Watt contract is Bullsh, nothing has happened.
Micah has also said he doesn't have to be the highest paid non-QB was he lying then, walking back on his statement now saying it will cost more.
Is Micah really worth the trouble?
Either stand behind what you say or admit you lied
wonder if they will finally learn the wait a see method is NOT helping us win.
If Jerry and Stephen mess up the Micah "thing", I will not care any more for my boys. Jeez, what are they doing besides looking like idiots.
I’ve been asking myself this question for like the longest time I should get rid of it 53 guys’s 53 guys
Not healthy – why we ARE "loaded "- Jones bargain shopping…. can't escape it. JJ is cheap (or is it SJ). Pays stars because he has no choice, in reality
That's what they always do. They want the extra attention (marketing) it brings. It works for constant media attention and marketing, but not for actually building a team…
So sick and tired of the bizarre Jones approach to negotiating contracts. Looking forward to Mr. Jones heading out to that big Glory Hole in the sky. Maybe Stephen will sell when he's gone
Another great breakdown! You got my attention and earned my subscription! Keep up the great work bro! I'll be sure to watch all your past vids and look forward to watching your future vids too! Thanks for your time and effort. I believe Dak will have a Pro Bowl type of season due to the better o-line coaching, run offense which will open up the play action, which will open up the pass game. Not to mention Pickens getting open cuz you can't double Lamb and Pickens. Hopefully get Turpin going in the slot or out the backfield. And get Blue going in space. Defense could be easier if they constantly score & play from ahead. I believe in this coaching staff from HC calling plays, OC making sure Oline & run game improves & DC fielding a tough, disciplined defense while turning our LBs into studs. Could be a very memorable year. #DC4L #GOCOWBOYS
Hell no! I don’t consider myself them. If I was the GM we would have been in at least 3 NFC championship games in the last two decades! The joneses are part time amateurs!
AWWWW NAW JERRY BETTER KEEP MICAH 💯💙
Jerry is clueless as usual
When has Micah sniffed 20 sacks?
Kyle Pitts ceiling is much higher than Ferguson's. The coaching and scheme is what the problem is there cause Pitts is a top tier athlete and route runner. Atlanta has failed to use him properly. I know this sounds like a hot take but if he ever gets in the right situation everyone is going to see.
The scary thing about Elam is apparently in Buffalo, he did the same thing. Flashed during camp, faded when the pads came on.
So hold out anointing him until the games get real.
It wouldn’t surprise me to hear that Jerry offered Micah $40MM but his agent passed. TJ Watt is the reason why it makes a lot of sense to wait. Why rush to $35MM when you can wait and make $42MM? Seems logical to me. Jerry’s problem is he is always a year too late. Micah should have been the highest paid player LAST year.
Dak is Trash 😂
