POST-2025 NHL DRAFT PROSPECT POOL RANKINGS!

With every single prospect from the 2025 NHL draft heading to their development camps, I thought it was the perfect time to go through every single NHL team and rank their prospect pools from worst to best. The 2025 draft was incredibly varied and really shook up the prospect pool landscape. So, today we’re going to have some maps and surprises in store for the rankings. So, make sure you guys watch till the end for every single team and every single top prospect dissected. And make sure you hit that subscribe button as we go through the rest of the year, especially with the 2026 draft coming up. you guys won’t want to miss any of the content there. Now, as we go through, I’ll be showing the top eight prospects from every single NHL team. But, of course, the other prospects and all those other positions are counted towards the pool rankings, so don’t worry about that. But, let’s get started, shall we? And go on to, in my opinion, the worst prospect pool in the NHL after the 2025 NHL draft. And it’s a shame because they came in last place last time, but they only had three picks in this year’s draft. So, it doesn’t really put them in the greatest position, but this is where I have the Colorado Avalanche. Now, they didn’t end up trading for Gavin Brinley in the Charlie Coyle deal. If they didn’t, uh, the AS would be by far the worst in the league, but I think Brinley has some decent middle six potential as a great energy forward. Didn’t have the greatest start to his AHL career, but wasn’t really given much of an opportunity yet. I think in the AB system with how much space they have on the wings. Brley, I think, could do a lot of damage. After that, I like Jake Fischer. Had a solid campaign in Denver. Similar to Brinley in his first year in the AHL because Denver was so stacked, kind of lesser in the lineup, but I think he’s interesting. You got Max Karan who coming out into the WHL pretty solid numbers especially this last season 74 game 74 points in 65 games. Then you got Oscar Olison still toing away in the AHL. The defenseman are pretty interesting with Muel Gouv I think being their best overall prospect up to this point. Somebody that in Russia has gotten more and more opportunity each year in the KHL this last season. 15 points and seven goals in 67 games. Not too shabby there. Then you also got Francisco Deachce who they got in the third round this last draft. an overager or at least a double overager, but I thought he was really solid in his freshman season for UMass. So, something to think about there. Then you go into the golden, which I think is the best part of this pool with Ilia Nbakov, an older goalender, but somebody that’s put up some great numbers in the KHL. And then Luca Clotier, I think would be number two. Wasn’t great this last year for Chicago, but the Steel were just horrible. He’s going to Boston College next year, and I think will be a pretty interesting one in that pool. I mean, with how they’ve been able to develop a player like Jacob Fowler, Colier has a lot of potential, too. But really, it’s not a great pool right now. Obviously, the ABS have been contending for a long time and trading a few of their prospects. I mean, Cal Richie was a big one, but it leaves their prospect pool pretty dry right now. On to number 31, the Vegas Gold Knights. And just like Colorado, their contention window has really limited that prospect pool, but they still have some pretty interesting options. You got Jacob Ice Waznjak 55th overall in this last draft. Great goalc scoring, power play ability. But no, I think was worth also a shot. probably would be my 10th ranked prospect on Vegas, but super young from this last draft and a good complimentary role as a centerman this last year, but still some pretty great production there. You got Trevor Connelly, of course, as our former 19th overall pick. Ton of skill. We’ll see if he’s able to put it all together, but not a bad start in his AHL career thus far. Matthew Katford, I think projects decently as a fourth liner in the future. Nothing all that special, but the energy is there and the all-around game is pretty compact. Timas Ernan was somebody that I think goes pretty underrated in this pool, too. really great production for Kingston this last year in 63 games, 90 points over a point per game as well in the playoffs. Not too bad there. Then you go into the defense where I think the only big one is Abram Reebi who’s kind of more of a physical type of defenseman, more of a defensive guy, but still for that not bad numbers in the NCAA, 24 points in 38 games. The big thing though that I think projects pretty well like Colorado in this pool is the goalending. Carl Limb is my favorite. Somebody that was looking like a great pick in the seventh round back from 2021. You see what he’s been able to do in Sweden, whether BDL’s Vetscan or the SHL and this last year in the AHL in his first season in North America, putting a 912 save percentage on the board. Not too bad there. I really like Limb’s potential though as a fringe starter. We’ll see if he has the capacity to be a number one though for Vegas in the future. In case of that, you also got a pretty interesting one in Pavlovich, who was a third rounder by the Knights in last year’s draft, but huge size at 6’7,97 pounds and something that hasn’t taken off in Russia yet, but has gotten a good amount of time in the KHL. and I think it’s a matter of time before he does very well there. So, in terms of the tandem going forward, that’s really the best part here. At number 30, we go on to the Edmonton Oilers. A team that hasn’t really been able to draft too high, but I think has done okay considering their draft positions and how many picks they’ve been trading. You got Sam O’Reilly, who I think projects pretty well. It’s just as bottom six energy forward. Matthew Seavoy, who has all the skill in the world. I’m hoping he’s able to get this chance this next year. We’ll have to wait and see on that. Tommy Laneer, like it’s a third round pick. Super smart centerman as well, kind of like the Sam O’Reilly, though not quite as intense. You got Maxim Berserioskin who has been fantastic in the KH over the past few seasons. Big size and big scoring ability. We’ll see how he projects. On the defense, Boeaki, Paul Fischer, two very smart defenseman. I I think Boei more projectable, but Fischer also has a chance of making it. The goalending I think is also quite solid, too. Emil Vinnie is a big one. Second rounder, a last pick in the second round of last year’s draft. Big size, but something that’s always done a decent amount. I mean, hasn’t been able to play too much this last year, but I think still protects very solidly. And then Samuel Json is somebody that in the fifth round back in 2022. Big size and has done pretty well for himself this last year in the Alvinskan a 922 save percentage against really good pro competition coming over to the AHL. I’m excited to see how he does. On to number 29. We go into a pool that I think is declining quite a bit especially once Eastn Cowan ends up graduating. But here’s where I have the Toronto Maple Leafs. And I think they have some okay depth but really not a ton that sparks much inspiration to me. on the four group. I did like the first two picks in the fifth round and William Bell and Nancy Bell a lot more of a simple physical player. Nancy really good playmaker that just didn’t really get all that rewarded this year in Owens sound. Of course, Eastston Count is the main one on the four group. A ton of intensity, a ton of speed. He’s going to be a lot of fun. Mir Slavalinka I like as well as kind of a skillful but also grindy I think fourthline center of the future. On the defense Ben Danford is going to do what he does best just blocking down the defensive play. I’m not sure how much offense there is there, but I think he’ll be just fine in a bottom pair role. Noah Shawick I like a ton on top of the physical base he has. He’s super smart when it comes to defending against the rush, keeping the game simple. Thought he should have had the world junior team for Canada, but it is what it is. I also want to give a shout out to Victor Johansson who was a fourth round pick for for Toronto last year. plays for the same organization that they got out of Tenis Luke Colblar this last draft, but I thought he’s been pretty solid this last season, especially in the junior 20, picking up some massive offensive totals after putting up eight points in 34 games the year before that. Got a taste a cup of coffee in the SHL, too. So, we’ll see how he turns out. And then the goalending side, Dennis Hillby is big and puts up some good AHL numbers. All around a bit of a disappointing pool compared to where it was, but a lot of big graduates are a reason for that. Now, let’s go on to the Tampa Bay Lightning. And I will say after this is where it starts to really jump up in terms of the prospect pool quality. But Tampa is a weird one because I didn’t really even love their draft class this last year. But three of the prospects still ended up inside the top eight for me. So it it shows the lack of depth there. But first you got Ethan Zada on the four group who I think is just going to project very well as a four offline center. Very smart and has some decent puck handling when he does have the puck on his stick. But there’s not a ton of pace there and I think just projects more as an overall balance penalty kill type of forward. You got Benjamin Roson who they got in the fourth round of this last draft. Double overager, but hey, sick stats in the league and pretty decent at the U8 U20, so why not take a bet on him as the coward of course is by far the best though. I don’t think he’ll be on Tampa Bay for too much longer, so take it with a grain of salt. Ethan Goce is fine. I like him. He hasn’t made too much progress since his draft year, but I think he’ll be okay. Jack Finley, big boy, drafted in the second round a few years back. Also progressing in the AHL decently. Dylan Duke, I absolutely adore. He’s somebody that has also been in the AHL this last year in his first full season. 40 points, 20 goals in 62 games. I think the future for him is very bright as this energy bottom sixer. Conor Kirk I like a lot too. University of Minnesota these past couple of seasons. Solid score. Really rose up to the occasion this last year with 39 points in 40 games. I think could be a really great AHL. We’ll see if he actually has NHL upside. But I like Curve as a pro. And then Caleb Peele who they got in the seventh round of this last draft. I mean as an overager goalie. I think he’s all right. Madison was kind of a weird team defensively, but still put up a great record and looked pretty good in those games. The save percentage isn’t sparkly clean, but I I think he’s a decent goalending prospect. But yeah, not the greatest in the world. Obviously, Tampa is not going to do legendary with the picks that they have available, but uh still I would like a little bit better. I have a couple favorites, but once I as a Coward is gone, it’s going to be a lot lower. Now, we move on to another Florida team here in the Florida Panthers. And I got to say, considering how successful they’ve been over the past three seasons or so, they shouldn’t really even be this high in terms of the prospect pool, but I think they drafted just very smartly. This last draft I also liked out of them, and I’m not even including a player like Arvad, who just missed this list. But first on the poor group, he started with Shamar Moses, who I like a lot. Some of the tools are there. It’s just putting them together has been a bit of a question mark. But this last year for North Bay, 48 points, 61 games. We’ll see where he goes from here. Jack Divine is the huge one. to me one of the more underrated prospects out there. Probably a top 50 guy for me as a former seventh rounder. He has been absolute dynamite for Denver and this last year came into the AHL especially for the playoffs for Charlotte and looked really good especially down the stretch in the Calder Cup playoffs and in the Calder Cup finals. So I think Dine has a really fun future and is by far the most interesting in the Panthers pool. Be’s got Grace and Sachin I think projects pretty well as a fourthline center. Lennus Ericson pretty similar especially with the smarts he has. You got Sandis Balmanis who just continues to improve year after year and in the AHL this last season. Phenomenal statistics for somebody that is coming in for the first time. On the defense, Maf Shervin is a ton of fun. Luda Viance also has been progressing well over in the SHL. And on the goending side, Tyler Muslick, I think, is decent big size and really covers the net well and has gotten better every single season, especially with this last year transferring to Yukon and looking pretty good there. At number 26, it is time for my favorite team in the Dallas Stars. They don’t have a fantastic prospect pool, but still some interesting options there. First, we got Cameron Schmid. They got in this last draft, third round. I have my issues with his intensity, some of the physical attributes, but my goodness, when he has a straight line to skate through, he’s one of the fastest in the class and the goal scoring is a massive part of things. They were able to develop Stankovven, even though I think he was a lot more projectable. So, I’m pretty confident that they’ll be able to do something. Go Schmidt here. I think Brandon Gorinski as well in the fourth round. This last draft isn’t a bad bet either. I liked him a lot for Calgary this last year. I think also fills out more as a fourthliner though compared to Schmidt’s top end talent. Emil Hemming I think is interesting. I think he could be good on the power play someday. Good in offensive opportunities, but I just don’t think quite gives me as much as I quite like, especially for where they drafted him. But still an interesting prospect to take over. Antonio Strange, I just hope he works out someday. Man, he’s been so much fun to watch in Texas being one of the best players on that team. We’ll see if it actually ends up happening. But I don’t think the Stars are going to give him much of an opportunity, but I still adore him in the way he plays. On the defense, Christian Cyro, similar position where I don’t know if the Stars will give him too much opportunity long term, but a lot of offense to bring there. So, he always has his heads up offensively. So, maybe he’s able to find his way into the lineup. George Begarass solid in the NCAA. Aaron Manidian, I absolutely adore the way he plays the game, how smart he is on the ice. And Tristan Petruchi, I think, projects pretty decently as a six, seventh type of depth defenseman. Nothing is special in this prospect, but they’ve got quite a few decent names. Guys like Schmidt, guys like Keming, though bring some interesting potential to tap into. Next up, let’s go on to the Boston Bruins. A team that is improving pretty steadily year after year. And with this draft, I think saw a pretty big jump. This is the only team I think on this list that every single one of my top eight prospects, they’re all forwards. So, a little more balance in the future might be necessary, but for now, it’s pretty sick to see. Of course, James Higgins leads by example. You also got William Moore and Dean Ltoros. Basically every single BC centerman in existence. You got Will Zeers who I think will be a pretty interesting one traded of course from the ABS. You got Fabian Lee Cell whom I’m hoping gets a big opportunity this next year. Frasier Minton I mean projects pretty well as a bottom 6C. Christopher Pelosi the same thing. Dons Lock Melis is somebody that I just absolutely adore his career arc. You see what he’s able to do after signing from UMass this year. Got 12 points in six AHL games out of nowhere. I don’t know how it happened but I’m hoping it continues somehow because that would be pretty sick. But I think in the Bruins case, far better than what it was maybe 3 or 4 years ago, still some room to grow, but James Hagens and the crew certainly are making it a lot better than it used to be. Onto another team that has improved a ton in their prospect pool over the last couple of seasons, we go on to the Pittsburgh Penguins. And especially with them not really being too concerned about Stanley Cups in the next couple of seasons, we might see Pittsburgh really improve the prospect pool as well. But in terms of the four group, it’s really outstanding so far. You got Ben Kindle as a high upside swing. Bill Zanen and Will Horov I think is two really projectable bottom six centers in the future. Rucker McGrody just like Horov another um Mitch uh player. McGrod of course I think will be a solid complimentary middle six piece. Tander how has a little bit of greenness added to that lineup. You got Billy Quinn who has just been outstanding. I mean in the AHL and the league of these past couple seasons has been unbelievable in terms of the scoring ability. So a lot to look forward to there. You also got on the defense Harrison Brunicki who I think just projects well as a number five number four skating defenseman and then Yol Blungquist as the goalie though Sergey Murave has also been really good in that Penguin system. So I wouldn’t really debate between either. They’re both very solid all goalending prospects. On to number 23. We go on to the New York Rangers who I think prospect pool wise have actually gotten a little bit better since the NHL draft and it’s good that I waited to make this video. You go into the four group. Malcolm Spence is a big one from this last draft getting him 43rd overall. I think he’s just going to be a feisty, energetic thirdline winger for them and a great one in that role. Gabe Bro is going to be fantastic if he gets a little bit faster too. This guy is the limit with the brain that he has in him. Unbelievable sense with the puck. You got Brent Offen there as more of a physical threat on the wing. You got Brody Lamb as a fantastic power play score in the future, I believe. But then you go into the defense, which I think has quite a few good options now because you have now Scott Morrow coming from the Carolina Hurricanes in the tray of Keon Miller. Morrow has his question mark still in terms of the positioning. He’s kind of like judge Miller actually a little bit where sometimes he can get caught a little bit flatfooted defensively. I want to see him be more engaged with that body actually use his physicality more but in terms of the production and the actual play on the ice. I mean in the instability he was terrific and in the AHL he’s been a prolific scorer there. So I think maybe at his max he’s more of a mid pair power play type of D but I’m hoping the Rangers give an opportunity. You also got Shawn Barnhill for some grit. EJ Emory the same thing. Drew Fordscu as some some balanced hockey defensively. And overall, I think this pool is actually just pretty balanced. The defense especially, some good names to look after. And now we go to the Rangers rival in the New Jersey Devils. Just a smidge above the Rangers, though I think the teams are basically tied in my pool rankings. The forward group has some ups and downs, but I think it was really improved by this last draft getting the trio of Fonder, Keven, and Hilstrom. Fondric and Kean a lot more exciting when it comes to the puck skills, but Hilstrom, I think, just rounds out as a perfect bottom six center with his smarts and maturity physically. Lenny Hamo is going to be a really good scorer, too. Loves to find that space. And in the LIA, you see the dynamic play. My goodness, I’m really excited to see him as maybe an under the radar Calder candidate for next year, though maybe more likely is in the AHL. Our city grits, another one that just got signed recently, has been a dominant player in the KHL for years now, and I’m really excited to see him for the Devils next year. On the defense, Anton Sallay, Sheamus Casey, some good electricity there. And Muel Eager as the goalender, one of the more underrated prospects out there. blew the the blew everybody away really coming into the NCAA for BEu. Fantastic there. Really turned that season around for them and has a bright future in goal. On to number 21. Just barely outside the top 20, I have the Ottawa Senators. And this is really boosted by a fantastic 2025 draft, but honestly, a couple of solid picks over the last couple of seasons. Bruno is something that I absolutely adore. guys know him as a sixrounder in this this draft, but I I think when it comes to the finishing ability, how good he is at finding space, I just see him as a really effective power play player in the future and a really solid third liner. Steven Holidayiday is something that has had some fantastic scoring in the AHL so far in his first full season, 51 points in 71 games. Has always been a pretty underrated prospect in the ends pool, but I think continues to be. I absolutely adore Blake Montgomery. Somebody that has had a prolific last year coming from the USHL and then being great for London in the OHL and OHL playoffs. Just a physical beast, even if he’s not always scoring. Onto the defense though, you got the two big ones in Logan Hensler and Carter Yakamchuk. Yakamakamchuck I expect I expect to play higher in the lineup, but Hensler I might expect to see more minutes, especially in the crunch time when the going gets tough. Henser is going to be able to make up for a lot of the deficiencies in that defense core. and I think looked pretty good doing it while Yakimchuk just hits bombs with his slap shot going forward. You also got Hoy Stanley who I think could be a decent depth defenseman too in the NHL. Hasn’t put up unbelievable numbers for Cornell but always gets the job done there. So I could kind of see him rounding out into like a Chris Tan of light type of guy. You also got on the goending side Lucas Beckman who I think was a solid pick in the fourth round and of course Lee by Marilyn who will hopefully be a full-timer in the NHL this next year. great stats coming from the Liga to the AHL and finally hopefully getting his opportunity. But getting us started inside the top 20, this is where we have the Vancouver Conucks who don’t have the best pool in the world, but I think have some pretty good names to them. Brandon Coots is somebody I adored this year. Floated and hovered around my top 10 range in the draft this year, but I think he’s just going to be the perfect middle six forward for you. So much intensity, so much great anticipation off and on the puck. Jonathan Leeraki, way different player, but somebody that is going to be feasting on the power play with those goal scoring opportunities. Anthony Romani also intrigues me. Wasn’t as amazing in the OHL this last year as he was in 2024, but great in the OHL playoffs and going to the NCAA I think will be a good spot for him. And then you go on the defense with Tom Wanderer being a good puck mover. Elias Patterson being just a great shutdown D of the future. Krill Kratz who has just done solid things in the AHL the last couple of seasons. Sawyer Mo who I think also projects pretty well into a bottom pair role. And then the goalending and Alexi Medvidev, my top goalender in this last draft. He goes a little bit later at the 47th overall position, but I think he’s a great bet to make and somebody you can have a lot of patience in, but see a lot of reward in. So overall, even though I think the depth in the for group is a bit lacking, that’s really the only major weakness here. At number 19, we go on to the Winnipeg Jets. A team that slipped a little bit in terms of some diminishing returns for some of those pro top prospects, but still a pool that has a good mix of varied talent. Brand Jerger in terms of the for group, probably the top guy there. something that has done great things in the WHL. Though, I’d like to see dominate a little bit more than he probably has, but still decent offensive opportunities there. Brett Lambert, I just I mean, I don’t think Winnipeg’s ever going to give him the opportunity, but my goodness, the speed is still there. The creativity, the AHL production hasn’t been unbelievable since the first season, but I I still think projects well as a middle six piece. Kobe Barlo brings some good skill, some good goal scoring ability, a knack for the net, but it’s another one also that hasn’t been otherworldly in the OHL like we maybe predicted. Nikita Chipperov, another one that also looked pretty solid for a little bit, but this last year pretty interesting production. Wasn’t completely healthy either. Zack Naring is, I think, a pretty big success story as a third rounder by the Jets in 2023. Something that coming into his first NCAA season put up great numbers for the national champion Western Michigan team. Good part of that foundation, too. So, a lot to look forward to there. On the defense, Sasha Bumin, who at 28th overall, a lot of skill with his speed and the puck moving, just needs to realize it. Kind of an interesting similar sort of situation with Alons Frey, who is more of a pacey, more of a speed first type of defenseman, but has a good pace to him when it comes to the puck skills and getting up the ice quickly. And he’s somebody that’s kind of had also diminishing returns, but I think has just a lot more potential than he does actual production up to this point. Aliasia Salia Monson, something that I like a ton, is somebody I see the see the Jets playing eventually because of the physical attributes there, but he just moves so well and already in the AHL has gotten off to a good start. So even though a lot of these guys have kind of been disappointing in the Jets own system, still they bring potential and some of them I’m still pretty hopeful on. Moving on to 18th overall in the rankings, we go on to the LA Kings, who I think are very defense and goalending heavy. Only two forwards that I think are noteworthy inside the top eight. Christian Eper, who they drafted in the third round this last year. I think he’s just going to be a solid complimentary piece. And going to Denver will help him quite a bit. And of course, Liam Greenree, who is one of the fastest growing prospects over the past year and a half. Big physical tools. The big issue was skating, but I think he improved upon it a decent amount for Windsor this last year and 119 points in 64 games, 24 points, and 14 goals in 11 OHL games. This playoff games. This guy has so much potential to feast on defense is that I’m fascinated to see what he does. But outside of that, defense is a highlight. Henry Britz who they got in the late first round. Good physical pop to him but loves to jump in the rush. Jakob D’vorak is going to be a depth defenseman. That is his role no matter what, but brings some good physical tools. Auto Salen I like quite a bit. I don’t know how much the Kings are going to play him considering how much they love to give Cody Cece four-year contracts. And of course, Alen isn’t the biggest guy in the world, but I like the pop that he’s able to bring in his game offensively in the league of this last year. 28 points, 56 games. So hopefully he’s able to develop the well there in the AHL system. But I’ll be honest, the big reason LA is this far is the goalending, which is a brilliant top three. I’d argue maybe the best top three goalenders in a prospect pool in the NHL. We’ll get into it here in a second. You got Peter Rampen, who they got in the fifth round this year, which I just think is a fantastic pick. as an overager. Yes, he’s not the biggest. But look at what he’s been able to do. If you’re a good goalender, you’re a good goalender and in 40 league games as a 19-year-old and 912 save percentage, undeniable at the U20 World Juniors. Easily the best there. So to me, I think Griffin absolutely deserves his credit. Then you got Hampton Slickinsky who is also one of the best young goenders out there as a fourth round pick by the Kings in 2023. He has been unbelievably great since then in his first NCAA season getting a 922 save percentage being the starter for the national champion Western Michigan Broncos. I mean he was great as well at the U20s when he did play. So in Sinsk’s case he has all the makings of a future starter. Plus you have Carter George to fall back on too who I think also has starter potential. Not as good but he’s somebody that has had a great OHL season. Was sold at the U20s as well for team Canada. Very responsible balanced goalender here. So, in terms of the goalending, this is the highlight of the Kings pool and the big reason to get excited. Heck, I didn’t even mention Eric Portillo. So, in terms of a top four, some pretty nice assets there. Next up, I have the Buffalo Sabres in this position. And I think they’re a team that has had a lot of graduates come into the fold for them in the NHL level. So, I understand the fault in terms of the prospect pool, but there’s still some guys to get excited about here. In terms of the four group, I think that’s where the most excitement comes from. Constellius, I think, is just going to be a great third liner in the future with the responsible habits he has. just so good defensively and also offensively. Not bad either in the AHL level in his first season after his draft year. 35 points in 65 games. So looking good there. Brody Zeamer I just love as an energy bully in your bottom six. Just so much fun. So chaotic. I love this kid. Noah Olland has a ton of skill. I’m really hoping he’s able to find a way to make it work. But hey, in his first full AHL season, really great production there with 19 goals and 36 points. So I’m hopeful that that’s able to continue. Anton Wahlberg I think also kind of like a broing zemer just projects more so as a bottom six bang and crash type of guy but in terms of the physicality the speed is there the size is there and also a solid year in the AHL this season Rosine is somebody that I really want to see work I don’t know if it’s going to but you see what he’s been able to do the last couple of seasons in the AHL unbelievable production for Rochester the problem is I don’t know if he knows what he wants to be at the NHL level but the goal scoring is certainly there the production of the power play is there so an interesting base to build upon on On the defense, you got Ratty Murka as the big one who they got ninth overall. Big talent, big potential. It’s just about reigning that in and making him as interesting as he can be. But I think even now he brings a lot of good responsible defensive habits, really good skating base to build upon. Just don’t turn him into Tyler Myers 2.0, please. I’d appreciate that. Adam Clever I like quite a bit as a right another right shot big boy, but just more so as a bottom pair defenseman, but I think a pretty good one with his physical body. And then Devon Levi, I’m going to continue to count him as a goalender for now. Mostly because he played mostly in the AHL this last season besides the NHL. But man, Levi, just prove yourself at the NHL level this year. Man, I I’m waiting right now. I’m desperately waiting. On to the halfway point at number 16 with the St. Louis Blues. A team that really consistently just has a solid prospect pool filled with interesting talents. We first start out with Justin Carbono at 19th overall. If you’re talking about excitement, Carbon is going to bring you that with the dangles, with the speed up the rush, how he uses his body. It’s all just so creative. And if he’s able to put it together and get a little bit more responsible defensively, you could have something special. Of course, Jimmy Snugroot came out of the scene for St. Louis and was great for them in a scoring role, will continue to be. You got Dal Devorski also, who I think projects well as a scoring forward, maybe more so as a third line center, but we’ll have to wait and see on that. Otto Stenberg also a ton of fun. Alex Centi Casamaka I didn’t want to mention. I mentioned him before, but he’s a third rounder in 2022. Has done some really solid things coming from the LIA to the AHL this last season. So, I think could round out into a bottom pair or bottom uh six forward potentially as a centerman. On the defense, you got Adam Uric who I’m not the biggest fan of still, but I think rejects is just a safe all-around responsible D. You got Theo Linstein, who I think also is kind of on the same wave, but more as a left shot, but I think has a little bit more puck skill to him. Logan Mayu, of course, all offense, especially with his shot just recently traded in the Zack Buluke deal. Not a ton on the goending side that gets me too excited, but the forwards especially, there is a lot to like there. Now, let’s move on to the Columbus Blue Jackets. So, I think in terms of their pool, I’ve soured on a lot more compared to the last couple of seasons, but it’s still one that has a ton of individual talent. You got Kane Lindstrom leading the four group, and if he’s healthy next year, I think still can be an absolute monster. Again, win healthy is the big ask, but I I thought in his draft year, he had so much puck skill, so much goalc scoring potential. It’s just a wait and see with the back injuries he suffered. But Michigan State is a good place to go. Luca Penelli I wanted to mention here in this range. He’s somebody that is super short. I get it. But my goodness, kind of like a Gavin Brinley, who unfortunately Columbus end up training is just a dog out there wi with the pace and the and the and the speed at which he plays the game. And you see what he was able to do in the AHL playoffs. Four points in six games. Not too bad just coming into things. William Whitaw a ton of pace as well too. another smaller forward and even though he hasn’t had the greatest production these last couple of seasons I think it’s mostly just been because of deployment but he’s going to University uh Western Michigan this next year and that’s a big opportunity for him to really prove himself there on terms of the defense again you have more skill with Jackson Smith being a huge one high octane offense some lackluster decision-m kind of holds him back but going in the NCAA I think that’s a perfect place for him to play Charlie Ell going to be a pretty dependable depth defenseman one day Luca Morelli a ton of fun too loves to jump into the rush loves to make Crazy things happen with the puck on a stick this last year. Exceptional production for O for Ashawa. I mean in the playoffs especially 36 points in 21 games is just absolutely ridiculous for a D just after his draft year. And the goalending side P Andreanov I mean I wouldn’t have selected him in 20th overall. I wouldn’t have done it but he’s still one of the best goalenders in this class and you see in the NHL this season a 942 savers in 37 games. It’s hard to get better production than that in your draft year and does have that. You also got Sergey Ivanov as well as another Russian goalender there. Not the biggest size in the world, but something that has been really solid there the last couple seasons in the KHL being a good starter. Nothing exceptional, but at the same time for a 21-year-old still pretty good. Next up, let’s go on to another team kind of like Columbus that has fallen quite a bit the last couple of seasons, but I still think has some really fun names to look out for on Minnesota Group. Adam Baku, they got in this last draft is small, but my goodness, this play guy plays with so much his hockey sense and and and creativity, but also hard work. I think that I think could take him quite a ways. Liam Ogrren I think is probably the best bet in terms of both potential and projectability. He’s somebody that is yet to really step into that wild team fulltime, but I think this next year he’s going to have a good shot at it. Charlie Strel, I think just projects really well as a fourthline power play type of centerman. Somebody that can get in front of the net, banging goals, and just keep the game simple with his physicality. Riley Heights, so much offense there. So much potential. Kind of rained, I felt like a little bit this last year with Prince George, but we’ll see if he can really establish himself in the NHL someday. Denil Eurovv again kind of similarly to a Charlie Stramol maybe a little bit more potential but I think really rounds out well as a middle 6C something that with good face ability good physical talents really knows how to put himself out there on the ice in terms of the defense Zoom is the big reason why Minnesota is still this high one of the best prospects in the entire league the offense the just mind-numbing creativity this guy is willing to put everything on the line to make something happen and with how much success he’s had for Denver these the last couple of seasons it’s understandable to see why Minnesota loved him so much and I think he was okay in the playoffs. Not as good as he could have been, but I think this next year a definite Calder candidate. Then you got David Urech on the defense. Another one that we’ll see kind of like a Esper Walstat as we’ll mention as the goalender here. Both of these guys I think really need to start proving themselves this next season. It’s put up a shot of time for both of them, but I think they might rise to the occasion. Let’s go into 13th overall in the National Pre, shall we? A team with so many solid prospects to choose from, and that’s how I would describe Brady Martin. I mean, he wouldn’t have been my selection at fifth overall, I’ll say that. But he’s going to be a fantastic third line center in my opinion with the energy, with the physicality in a very tight package. You got Riker Lee in the later first round of the same draft if you want some more excitement there. The speed, the creativity, it’s fantastic. Eigor Sherman I think could project well. Has done solid in the KHL this last season and in the KHL playoffs as just an 18-year-old still. Teddy Stiga, one of my goats out there in terms of the prospect landscape. This guy just goes so much speed, so much intensity with the puck on his stick. I absolutely adore him. a great solid first season for BC this last year and of course hero mode for USA at the World Juniors. You got Walking CamL as some more power play goal scoring. I still am concerned how he translates but my goodness the AHL production these past couple of seasons is hard to deny. Matthew Wood is one that I also have my problems with in terms of the pace of game especially with his skating speed but still he knows where to beat him up how to put himself in positions to score and we saw that in the last couple seasons in the NCAA. We’ll see how it translates. I’m still skeptical but I think he’ll be all right. Aiden as another NCAA score is unbelievable. Another guy that’s a little bit shorter, but this guy just plays with so into pressure so well with his physical base. He’s strong on his skates and loves to attack the nets. I I think for the pres, he fits in pretty well, too. Though is still a bit of a mystery box because of the lack of muscle at this stage. And then we go on to the only defenseman on this list in Cameron Reed. And this is what I’m saying why Nashville is so balanced. I mean, I had to leave a player like a Tanner Mullandike off the top eight. That’s how balanced this top eight is for Nashville. So many solid guys, but especially in that forward group. A lot of good names. Nobody that I think is a first liner 100%, but a lot of guys right behind that range. At number 12, this is where I have the Carolina Hurricanes. And I’m going to be honest, they have so many prospects that would be a disservice to only name eight different guys. So many players that just missed my list. But guys I want to mention Charlie Sado, Ivan Riyabkin, Philip Edgar from this last draft. Guys like Gle Trigazob, Jaden Piran is interesting. Of course, Bradley Nadau is a big one. Felix Unersorum, Nikita Artamatov is looking like a draft steel from last year. Tamir Mukanov I like quite a bit on the defense. Curvan Lieov, Dominic Badinka, Alexander Dishon is a big one for them, but I like Simon Foresark. Vladimir Gerardin had a great season. Dol Franen is looking good. And on the goending side, Samon Prolof, who we got in this last draft, one of the better goenders of the draft, too, at 41st overall. The Canes just continue to stack picks and stack value. And yes, not every single one of them are going to end up making it, but I just love the philosophy and especially from this last draft. So many picks that I like that Carolina had to be inside the top 15. Now, let’s go on to number 11 and go on to a team that’s been rising so much over the past couple of seasons in the New York Islanders. I’m so excited to see the progress this prospect pool has made, and it has made a lot of progress since the 2025 draft. In terms of the big guys, especially in the four group, Victor Ecklund is a huge one to add to the group at 16th overall. the intensity, the dog on the bone at work ethic, but his simplicity around the net and how good his goal scoring is. I think he’s going to be the perfect complimentary firstline wing. You also got Cal Richie. Then you got Cole Eisman as a big sniper. Danny Nelson, one of the most smart, mature players physically over these last couple years of the draft. Quinn Finley, massive score in the NCAA, is carrying that Badgers team offensively. And on the defense, Matthew Schaeer is huge. Kan Herson is going to be so interesting for them as a character and as a personality. And the goalending side, Marcus Gilop has had some great moments over the past year. You see what he’s been able to turn into already a decent amount of games in the SHL level of a 908 save percentage. And to be able to do that as a 19-year-old is extremely impressive. But just like uh some other teams, the Islanders, especially in this range, this is where we’re getting to the range where there are players that I really wanted to include that I just couldn’t. You have players like Denil Proarov who they drafted very early in this last draft. But guys like Cameron Berg, Camille Benedaric on the defense, guys like Jesse Pulkin who are super close, Isaiah George, and even on the Golding side. Demetri Gasman has been great in Russia. He doesn’t crack the top eight. So a lot of guys just outside this tier that are still pretty good prospects. But now let’s get officially started with the top 10 prospect pools in the NHL. And let’s go on to Philadelphia that had a really big rise after the 2025 draft. Of course, getting a top five talent like Porter Mone certainly does help. Solid pick at sixth overall and the power forward potential is absolutely there on top of the great stick handling. You got Jack Merte as an interesting score of the future has some grit to his game, but Shane Van Sagi I absolutely adore. First round prospect to me. You get him at 48th overall. Always some good value there. I’ve always been more of a Jet Luenko fan than most. And 13th overall, I don’t think it’s going to be an exceptional pick or anything, but I think he’ll round out into a very responsible middle six centerman with some good playmaking. Alex Bump. It was between Alex Bump and Jack Nesbbit who they drafted 12th overall in terms of one of the last four was to mention here. But I I adore Alex Bump. He is somebody that has been unbelievable for Western Michigan these these last couple of seasons. You see him 47 games or 42 games this last year. 47 points, 23 goals and didn’t look out of place either in the AHL stepping into that immediately. So I think the future is bright for him. And speaking of bright futures, Denver Barky, I mean, small forward, yes, but this guy is like Logan Stinkovven, right up that range in terms of intensity, work ethic, getting under your skin. It’s unbelievable what this guy is capable of and has been a dynamic force for London over these past couple of seasons. On the defense, Oliver Bon is the only big one to me, but of course, they got players like Carter Amo in this last draft, which I think will round up pretty decently. Guys like Spencer Gil, who I think will be okay, but Bon I think is the biggest one. And on the goending side, Yiger Sarravkin I think is the best one, especially what you see he’s been able to do in the KHL. Another one that’s pretty young at 19 years old, but at 912 save percentages last year in 37 games, already looking pretty good there, too. But on top of that, you got players like Carson Barjerson, too. And other forwards I didn’t even mention. I mean, Jack Nesbbit didn’t even make the list for me, but players like Carson Dor, I like Alex Hernier could be interesting. Devin Kaplan, I think could be possibility, a possible potential bottom six guy if he all rounds out. So, I think for the Flyers, a lot of depth, but I think the top end guys, players like Martone, Luchenko, Denver Barky, those guys I adore, too. Let’s move on to number nine and go on to the Seattle Kraken. And I have my questions about how the Kraken are shaping up in the future. Their long-term identity, but the prospect pool is still among the best out there. I mean, yes, there’s a lot of centers. I love you, Jacob Bryan, with the creativity, the playmaking, it’s all on display for everyone to see. Berkeley Cotton is also a fantastic player. So much creativity there. Same thing with Jagger Furkus. Carson Rakeoff I think could be a decent finisher but also has to bring in some different traits to his game. Round out his game a little bit more. Yanni Neman is something that has really grown over the last little bit. Big forward, something that was a second rounder in 2022, but has already burst onto the scene having a great AHL season and looked really solid for the Kraken in more of a production role for them at the end of the year. On the defense, Blake Fidler is the big one to me. Great defensive habits, big size, solid skating. Nothing that’s overly special, but he’ll get the job done. And then Ty Nelson as the overly exciting defenseman in that pool too. He is on the shorter side and I have my complaints with some of the projectability with his decision-m but still at the same time he’s a ton of fun with the puck on a stick. The passing ability is highend and we’ll see if he’s able to translate that going forward. Then you got on the goending side. Nicholas Ko is the main one. Big size too and has rounded up pretty well at the AHL level already. A 913 saber percentage in 3 games and not too bad as well. 921 saver percentage in six playoff games too. I also like Kim Serinan as well, but I just think for the Kraken, the top end guys are all very solid. We’ll see if they’re able to burst into major roles on the team, but especially down the middle. They are going to have talent no matter what. On to number eight, we go on to a team that just continues to hit home run after home run in their draft classes in the Washington Capitals. So much talent here to speak of, and let’s speak of it because that gets me pretty excited. We go on to Linda Lakovich starting out Milton Gastrine. Two fantastic value picks in the first and second rounds, respectively. Lakovic to me top 15 especially when it comes to the talent up the ice. This guy is dynamic with the puck on his stick able to deceive defenders so well and be able to just make bend really the ice to his will. It’s just a matter of the effort level in all three zones, the consistency that is an issue, but in the cap system I see them getting the most out of him. Milton Gastrine a little bit of a different player having more of a responsible guy but also has some high-end pace when it comes to the rush up the ice. He’s someone that uses his body though exceptionally. Very physical build already. I really like the projectability here. Ryan Leonard, of course, is somebody that is going to be a massive piece to the Caps puzzle very, very soon. Wasn’t unbelievable for the Caps when he stepped into the lineup this last year, but I think that was him just kind of getting adjusted to the NHL difficulty because it is quite a bit of a step. I think he’ll be just fine. And a fantastic score, fantastic energy piece for the Caps. Trick Perisac I still don’t quite get at 17th overall, but a very smart player. Positions himself well all over the ice, gets in front of the net decently. Again, I’m not sure about how much pure upside there is, but I think could be a decent piece in the bottom six. Andrew Crystal, if you’re needing some upside, there you go in the second round. Another one that I’m kind of concerned in terms of the speed of the game, how much that’ll translate to the NHL, but my goodness, 72 points in 29 games for the Chiefs this last year. I get he was with Berkeley Cotton, so those two are going to be unbelievable, but 41 points in 19 playoff games. I don’t know how you can get much better than that. Crystal was insane to watch and I’m hoping he’s able to work things out. And then you got Ilia Prous who was just like the Cavs were just dunking on everybody getting Prous at 75th overall. I didn’t really know what to make of him heading into the draft year, but he was insane this last year for Windsor in 61 games, 124 points, 25 points in 12 games. Just a completely different player in terms of the on ice impact and the Caps look to be getting another solid one. And then on the four group to end this off, Eric Mateo a pretty interesting bet. Big body, good goal scorer. Hasn’t taken over games as much as some other Caps prospects, but I think has a ton of talent to build upon. And on the defense, Cole Hudson of course leads the way. Another one that just felt like pure dunking. 43rd overall by the Caps. And even though I still don’t think Hudson is as good as his brother Lane, he’s getting pretty darn close, especially when it comes to the competitiveness. I see an even bigger edge potentially in Cole. and UC in his first NCAA season. 48 points in 39 games, 11 points in seven games in the World Juniors. I mean, Hudson is just a god on ice right now and I cannot wait to see where his career goes. Now, let’s go on to number seven and the Detroit’s Red Wings. A team that pretty constantly has a good pros pool and even though it’s not quite as good as maybe it was a year ago, that’s also again due to some graduates. It still has some great names though. Carter Bear is going to be a brilliant Red Wingman. This guy’s going to fit perfectly into that middle six. the intensity, the goal scoring, the knack for the net, and those turnovers he creates. I think he’s just gonna become a fan favorite. Michael Branig Neward, a similar position, but on the right wing, more like in Brans Nugard’s case, though, my goodness, the energy and the way he’s able to will over his opponents with his physicality. He’s just so much fun, too. I don’t know how much pure offense he has, but I think we’ll still be a solid piece. Max Plant is somebody I wanted to mention here, too. 47th overall in 2024. He is something that really surprised me with just how unbelievable he was in the NCAA. Minnesota DUP is not a high-scoring team, but in 23 games, he got 28 points. Had some stalin spots at the U20s this last year. I think he projects decently as a third line option, but we’ll see if he’s able to get there. Nate Danielson has been a really interesting curve to watch over these last couple of seasons. Didn’t have a horrible rookie season in the AHL, even if it might have been a little bit disappointing, but I still think he’s something that is great in transition with the puck on a stick. Versatile guy with his playmaking. We’ll just have to see how much that translates to the NHL. Demetri Bolchinoikov, one of the most fascinating ones and exciting ones in the in the Red Wings pool. The KHL production absolutely exploding over the past couple of seasons going from 29 points in 55 games to 54 points in 65 games. This guy just feasts in any open ice. This guy feasts, especially with the puck on his stick. It’s just so much fun to watch out there. What he’s able to create, what he’s able to do. One of the most exciting players in the KHL. Then onto the defense. If we’re talking about excitement, Axel Sandy Plea is right up there. one of the best defensive prospects in the entire NHL. So good in any position you put him in, whether it’s on the rush, in transition, in the offensive zone against the cycle. This guy is just so deadly, especially along the blue line. Is able to create so much with his offense and his decision-m and I think is going to be a beautiful Red Wing. I hope he’s in the NHL this next year, but some AHL seasoning I don’t think would do him any harm. You also got, of course, the two goalenders in Trey Augustine and Sebastian Kosa, though I also think Michael Ple is pretty good, too. So, I think they might have a stake as maybe the best three goalending tandem prospects in the NHL, but Augustine among the best. Costa has really rebounded well and is starting to do some really good things in the AHL level. At top of that, just outside the top five, let’s get into number six and the Utah Mammoth who have so much excitement with their prostic pool and are humongous in so many different ways. We go into the main one on the four group in Caleb signed at fourth overall. somebody that is going to be a brilliant playmaker down the middle. Is so creative with the puck on his stick, especially in transition. I’m still kind of concerned about the two-way game, how much pace there is with his actual speed, but I still think he fits really well into that Utah team and what they need a little bit more of in the middle six. Tigla is going to be a fan favorite. Even though he wasn’t fully healthy this last year, my goodness, the energy is just I just absolutely adore him. I I still think even though he might not be the premier talent you wanted, like a sixth overall position, he’s just going to be so much fun. So intense, so creative, and a fan favorite in so many ways. I also love Colton Mis Bodan. 24th overall by Utah. This to me is also another perfect projectable role player in your bottom six. Another one that just brings so much speed, so much intensity, and the physicality of Bodan I think kind of gets underrated. He’s somebody that is such a good bang and crash player. Simple with the way he’s able to forche, but does it so well. Denil is my goodness, a project and a half, but he is mammoth at 6’6, 216 lbs. still super young, but the dangling ability, the the puck skills with a guy this huge is just so tantalizing. Somebody that’s done great things in the KHL level and now fully signed on. So, he will be a good project to watch. On the defense, you got Will Scan. Big, bruising, physical Dman. Nothing exceptional in the Insta Blade this year in terms of production, but that’s not necessarily his game. Demetri Simichev, another one that will wow you with the production, but coming into the NHL this next year, I think he’s going to log a lot of minutes and do a great job doing it with the speed, with the skating he has. one of the most smart defensive players we’ve seen over the past couple of seasons. I think he just projects extremely well to just log consistent minutes for Utah and eventually overtake a lot of D on that team. You also got Maverick Lamaru in a pretty similar position too. And on the going side, Michael Robble as the big one in terms of the Utah future and pretty big too. 6’7, 216 pounds. I’ve had my problems with him in the past, but a great season against the NCAA this last year getting a 924 save percentage for UMass. a really big potential here at Robble’s case and I I think likely still a starter to come. Getting us started with the top five prospecting pools in the NHL, we go on to the one that I think is the most underrated in the entire league in the Calgary Flames. They just continue to have stellar draft after stellar draft. And this last year was fantastic. Leading by example is Cole Rashi at 18th overall, who I just think has so much energy, so much skill and playmaking with the puck that I love to take the bet on him. Colon Potter, same similar position, a smaller forward, but is an absolute wizard with the puck on his stick. The puck skill is elite, the speed is elite, but the rest of the game is a bit of a question mark. We’ll just see how it goes around him. Maf Green is a one that’s really progressed well going from the USHL. Great production there to the QMJHL and great production there, too. Already onto the AHL level. Andrew Bosa. It was unfortunate how injured he was for the course of this season, but another one that has high pace, high motor, and the and the dynamic play he’s able to provide still gives me some pretty good hope. Luke Misa is one that I really want to see work out. I don’t know how predictable he is as a smaller center that is just all all energy all the time, but I think in Misa’s case, he has enough attributes for him to get get at least a shot at doing so. Jacob Betalagia is one I really adore, too. I mean, I just love the smarts and the positioning he put himself out there in the offensive zone last year for Kingston. But this season with this skating improving quite a decent bit, he was able to explode a lot. 90 points, 40 goals in 68 games. Great in the playoffs, too. I think this case, he’s such a smart offensive player. If that skating improves just a little bit on top of that, I think you’re getting a really special piece. And on the defense, Zay Pere special player, special offense. Henry Muse, really smart and collected with the puck. I think the big thing is that Calgary has so many players I didn’t mention today that I absolutely could have. I mean players like Theo Stoxilius who they just drafted, guys like Samuel Hanzik, Idar Sunniv, I really enjoy, Trevor Hoskin has been great in the NCAA. On the defense, guys, players like Hunter Bruce, players like it’s Moran, I mean there is a lot to go off of. And on the go side, Grill Zubin and Arseni Gus Serge, I love both of those players, but they’re not in the top eight of the pool. Still though, the depth is solid. The star power isn’t unbelievable, but Zane Perez, Colin Potter, Cole Resi, that’s enough to get by for a while there. I’ll just say this. If Calvary gets some luck in the lottery next year, let’s say, and they were to get a a Gavin McKenna potentially, um they might be number one after the 2026 draft, but that’s a conversation for a much different time. Moving on to number four, let’s go on to the Anaheim Ducks, who just continue to stack talent after talent in these draft classes. And even though they might go a little bit bigger, they don’t always draft just big on purpose and that’s it. They typically like to draft players that might be big, but also have some big talent behind them. I mean, Roger McQueen is a great example. Still might not have been my pick at 10th overall, but I can absolutely see why the Ducks will go after him, especially when you look at the center situation going forward. They could really use an extra piece in that middle six. And in McQueen Pops, I mean, my goodness, the deing ability, the the puck skills there are magical for a player as big as he is. Even though I still might question marks, the potential is absolutely there. Eric Nielsson I adore. If he just gets like 15 pounds bigger, gets some more muscle. I think he has so much potential as a versatile, smart, crafty setterman going to Michigan State. I have no no um no doubts really that he’ll be able to add on those pounds and get a lot faster over these next couple years. Becket set of of course as a big one, third overall by Anaheim. He’s had some massive progression over the last year, not just in terms of the height, but in terms of the actual play on the ice. this last year in 56 games, 836 points, 32 points in 18 playoff games. He has such a way with the puck. He’s an absolute wizard out there. The top end skill is going to be a ton of fun to watch. You also got Lucas Patterson who I think is in a kind of similar position and this is what I’m saying. Anaheim kind of unlike a team like Utah has still drafted a few smaller players here and there. Person is just so deceptive and especially this last year in the Alvcan, not too bad. 19 points in in 26 games and also was able to play a bunch of games in the SHL, too. So, pretty spread out there against pro competition. Austin Bernovic is one that I have my doubts upon actually being a great pro, but the potential is massive if he gets the effort level a little bit more consistent. The goal scoring is big. The creativity on the power play is massive. I just want to see him actually put in a lot more work on the ice. Kind of like a Trevor Connelly light type of prospect. Then going on the defense, you got Styen Sberg for some big time physicality, some big- time hits, but also really smart in the way he plays defensively. Doesn’t sacrifice too much defense for just pure physicality. He’s pretty smart in the way he puts himself out there and has some good goal scoring abilities, too. Terren Smith is somebody that I have loved for the creativity, the high octane pace. I mean, he kind of reminds me of Jackson Smith from this last draft, but with a little bit less consistency in terms of the top end offense. But I think as a 79th overall pick, he’s turned out pretty well. Almost a point per game this last year for Everett. Still a lot of room to grow though. And another defenseman that rounds it out is Tristan Leno. Another one that’s kind of more offensively offensively processed, but it’s just super smart and super quick in his decision-making. And that’s taken him quite a ways this last year in the AHL in his first full season. 52 points, 59 games. I’m not sure where he projects in that Ducks lineup, especially now that it’s trying to get bulked up a lot more with veteran D. I think in Luno’s case, there’s there’s a lot to build on still and he’s still pretty young at 21 years old. On to number three, let’s go on to the Chicago Blackhawks. And the big thing to me that is so exciting is the forwards they have coming up. So many options that fill really different roles throughout that lineup going forward. Anton Frenell, of course, the big one as the third overall pick in this last draft, I I just think with the physical conditioning he has, if that takes a step, this guy could be an absolute monster with his goal scoring, how he’s able to find space, how he’s able to get up the rush. I mean, he’s just somebody that I like quite a bit with the translatability, especially for a team like Chicago that needs some more strength like Fendel brings. Mavil, Mason West, two guys I think are pretty similar. Big size, big potential, just need to refine the details of the game, but both are excellent when it comes to the transition. Both were excellent in terms of the top and puck skills. There’s a lot to gleam with these guys if they’re able to pull it all off. You got Sasha Boy. I mean, somebody that has been a treat to watch in the NCAA this last year. Was great for North Dakota in his first season. Not unbelievable production, but North Dakota was kind of a weird team this last year. He’s going to be you in a massive deal and he’s going to be excellent there. You also got Oliver Moore who brings so much skill, so much speed with the puck, but also has some questions when it comes to the overall game. But I think in Chicago looked pretty good when he was up there with the Blackhawks. Nick Lardis, had to mention him. The goal scoring unbelievable this last year. I think Jacob Bryan helped quite a bit, but Lardis, the goal scoring, 71 goals, 65 games, 117 points. Unbelievable what he’s capable of. And on the defense, you got Arnold Levnov, who I think projects pretty well as more of a number two, number three defenseman. Samron Zel, who I’m super high on with the overall game, how smart he is in all three zones. He’s somebody I thought was excellent for the Blackhawks in the nine games he played at the end of the year. But somebody I think is more of a middle pair defenseman behind Allesnov long term. But so many guys I had mentioned, players like Roman Canerov that I I didn’t even get the time to. Players like Julia Sump, who I like from this last draft, Merrick Banaker, who I like, AJ Spellelly, Martin Mishiaak. I mean, there’s so much depth, especially on the forward side. And I didn’t even mention a player like Kevin Kinsky either or the goalending and Drew KSO or an Adam Gon. I think for Chicago, they just have so much depth, so much consistency in all three positions. And I freak for them, I mean, the future is obviously bright, but especially after this last draft, they filled some pretty necessary holes. On to the second overall position. This is where the Montreal Canadians will get their silver medal, and rightfully so. They absolutely deserve it, especially after this last draft. They might have dropped a little bit, but they continued to hit home run after home run. Even after trading both of their first round picks for Noah Dobson, they’re still in a pretty great position long term. In terms of the forward prospects, Al Alexander Zerowski is going to be an exciting one. Kind of think the Demetri Bulchikov type of prospect for Detroit. That’s what I think he’s going to be for Montreal. Something that might be a patient type of project, somebody you’re going to be having in the KHL for another three or four years. But in terms of the potential on the power play, with the speed, with the puck handling, this guy can do so much for you, especially when he’s given just that little bit of space to work with. The anticipation is good. I just want to see it be a little more consistent of a package for him. I also like Hayden Papanicus, who was a 6’5 center taken by the Haps at that 39th 69th overall position. He’s extremely raw, just like Azarovski. I think especially putting himself out there more, being even more physical, being stronger on his skates will be a big thing for him going forward. But this last year in the WHL, not the greatest production in the world, but I think there’s a reason why the Habs took the chance on him because that potential and talent does pop every now and again. Of course, you got the main big- time forward prospect in Ivon Demadov. One of the best out there, if not the best prospect in the entire NHL right now. Absolutely would be up there for me. But in Demidov’s case, we saw he was capable of less so in the playoffs. But in those couple games for Montreal in the regular season, this guy was an absolute dynamic wizard, which is what Ivon Demidov has always been. You also got Michael Hage coming up the middle with the puck skills, especially in transition. This guy can dangle you so easily and it’s super scary to watch. You got Owen Beck, who I think really projects well as a fourthline center. Oliver Kappan, who I will say is kind of always been a little bit underrated in the Habs pool, a late second rounder back in 2021, but always put up really good results wherever he’s gone. This last year almost a point per game in the SHL. And yes, he wasn’t unbelievable in terms of the production for the Habs, but I don’t know I think Kaan still has so much skill, so much base to build upon the the anticipation to play is there. Just play such a pro game and it would be a shame if he wasn’t able to find himself into the lineup someday. On the defense, David Rybacher to me is the big one. Though players like Bryce Pigford also contended for different spots, but Rybacher is I think going to be just such a competent consistent middle pair defenseman and even though he wouldn’t have been my pick of fifth overall, I think he’ll still play a pretty vital role for this Habs team. Then you have Jacob Fowler on the goending side which are one of my favorites in the entire NHL to really fill in the future of the net for the Havs and just every single position has great prospects great talent and great guys I didn’t even mention players like LJ Moody from this last draft so exciting so energetic that’s going to be a lot of fun to watch you got players like Asus Quu Philip Mashar you got players as well on top of that like Riley Kinney I like and then you got on the defense Bogdan Kanye who I think kind of goes a little bit underrated you got players on the goending side now like Yodash and Vloin and even from this last draft, Radov. So, the goalending has a lot of options going forward, even though I think Fowler will be the best one. But now we go on to the number one, the best prospect pool, at least in my opinion, after the 2025 NHL draft. And it is hard to say anybody else but the San Jose Sharks. And this is a team that I already had number one around the trade deadline, but they came in number one again. And with a pretty big reload of prospects in this year’s draft, it’s easy to see why. Michael Misa, my number one prospect in the Twin 25 draft. I think the biggest one that contends with Ivon Demidov in terms of the best prospect in the NHL right now. Matthew Schaefer of course also up there too. But I think he is the perfect fit for the Sharks and the perfect second line center behind Malin Cabbrini. You also got Cole McKenna if you need some center up the middle as well as a solid fourth line center option and a bet in the second round. Eigor Chernob of course Michael Misa’s linemate this year was Sagenov. Both of them were absolutely unbelievable together. You see what he tunes was able to do. 55 points in 23 games. Just sickening production. Quinton Musty so much fun with that bigger frame. Knows how to use it, but still a bit lanky, but I think has a lot of potential in the NHL, too. Philip Beaststead as a third line center. I think you’re just going to have that center situation. So perfect. Having Celibbrini, then Misa, then Beast, then Cole McKenna. That is just oh I I love that so much. match, but Vet with the size, with how he’s able to find and figure himself out around pressure, he’s always just been a solid projection. On the defense, Sam Dickinson, the big one there. Even though I would have been, it would have been a perfect fit if they went after a Matthew Schaefer. That would have been so good for that defense. Sam Dickinson still extremely high on and still should not have gone 11th overall. So much good size and the skating combo is there. But I think this last year he got a lot more sharp of his decision-making. The defense, I think, took a big step and that allowed his game to really flourish. I think he’s still probably a number two, probably at his best, but a really, really good one. And if the Sharks are able to find that number one potentially with like a Keen Bearhof in next year’s draft, then that would be absolutely stellar. Then you also got Luka Kagnoni on top of that. And then Yoroscarov to really complete the goalending there as one of the best starters or at least starting potential goalie prospects in the NHL today. I mean, we can go through the list of the guys I didn’t end up mentioning. Guys like Teddy Mutin from this last draft, but I like I like guys like Carson Wetch, Colin Graph. I like guys like Christian Robbins, Cameron Lund, Casper Halton, didn’t even mention him. You got on the defense, Simon Way, Simon Wong, who we didn’t mention, Leo Solen, Noelius, Matias Havalid. I mean, when it comes to the Sharks, yes, they didn’t go for the right defense that I may think they maybe would have needed a little bit more, but in their case, they still went for best players available. I didn’t even mention guys like Eric PCamp or guys they dropped in this last draft in the first round like Joshua Ravensburg, who I think will be a decent backup for Yara Silvas someday. My goodness, the potential in pretty much every single position is there. Right. D maybe the only thing that might be a little bit missing, but Misa is certainly what brings this prospect pool right to the very top again. But players like Sam Dickinson, Igor Chernob, guys now like McKenna and Scarov, they’re what you come back to for as well. The Sharks have a fantastic future already in the NHL, but outside of it, too. But those are my post 2025 NHL draft prospect pool rankings. 1. IT'S TIME FOR SOME MORE POOL RANKINGS!!! Weird to say out of content, not gonna lie. Let me know where you think YOUR favorite NHL team should rank, and which NHL teams have the BEST & WORST prospect pools right now! #GravGang

  2. It’s crazy how the Habs made the playoffs with what they have now, and still have the number 2 prospect pool in the nhl. They are gonna get better and better as the years go on

  3. Really enjoy the content keep it up man. But also has anyone ever told you how much you resemble Sam Montembeault?!? Its uncanny!

  4. if your counting Koivonen, McGoarty, & Pickerting for the Pens
When they all played extremely well in the NHL last year
Then there is no way we should be 24th tbh

  5. Buddy, I think you are great and thank you.

I have one suggestion, leave out the word adore, this is not about personal feelings or anything. It just doesn’t fit the hockey world in my opinion.

  6. I’ve been a Flyers fan for 50+ years, and I am ALWAYS optimistic! Rick Tocchet is in my top three all-time favorite Flyers…how damn good would it be to find a modern version of Tocchet on this team?

Also, true dynasties are pretty hard to come by. Canadiens four in a row in the 70s, Islanders four in a row in the early 80s, Oilers, Red Wings, Devils and Pens getting multiples spread out over a few years, but those four-in-a-row true dynasties are a thing of the past.

  7. Ill take that 10th place for Philly! Another guy who I'm looking forward to is Gebrenkin from Toronto. I like the guy as a bottom 6 idea.
