  8. These rumors are either completely made up, or leaked by the team trying to trade for him, or Byrams agent to get GMKA to sign a short bridge deal to get him to UFA.

  9. If he’s offered $7.020113m (compensation is 1st and 3rd), the Sabres match. If he’s offered north of $9.360154m (compensation is two 1sts, 2nd and 3rd), they let him go.

    I think it’s tougher for the in-between (compensation is 1st, 2nd and 3rd). A team like the Blues would have to make other moves in order to give that offer sheet, and I’m not sure how many other teams have the cap space and urgency.
