Miami Dolphins Tua Tagovailoa On The Top 100!

Happy 4th of July everybody. I assume most of you are out right now barbecuing, hanging out with family, everything, but I wanted to put this video out way earlier. Plans have changed, things have changed. You see the title. Let’s jump into it. [Music] What is up, Finn fans? Apologize for my voice. I don’t have a fever or anything. My throat hurts and my voice sounds like garbage. Um, I was initially going to do the defensive line uh pro camp training camp position battles, but then Tua was a part of the top 100. So, I’m like, well, I need to talk about that cuz that’s something interesting. And yesterday around 6:00, my area got hit with a ridiculous storm and it was only for like 45 minutes, but it it hit 80 mph winds. knocked the power out for some people. Knocked my internet out. It didn’t just come back until four o’clock today. So, I was like, “All right, well, I could do my video, but then I’m like, well, two was just named on the top 100 spot number 91. I kind of want to talk about that cuz that’s interesting.” So, what I’m going to do is Monday, I’m just going to do the whole defensive line pass rushers and defensive tackles. I’m just going to do the whole thing on Monday. Today, we are going to talk about two of being in the top 100. Also, one of you guys sent me something to my PO box, which I greatly appreciate. Again, if you want to send something to the PO box, it is linked below. It literally says PO box. Also, I have to shout out today’s sponsor and my my man, my pal. I will be hanging out with him at training camp from the 19th to the 21st. That is Clean the World. Go check him out. Been doing it for 16 years, putting these awesome kits together, giving it to people of need. You see the soap in there goes around to hotels, repurposes it, cleans it so it’s not wasteful and third world countries, natural disasters, the homeless, people that need it. Also has the wash foundation, getting people water, building wells in third world countries so they can have water, shower stations. Go check it out. Um, so yeah, Tua was in the top 100. Now, in all honesty, I did not think Tula was going to be in the top 100. Let’s listen to the video. I I have it so small in the corner. If I get copyright claimed or whatever, I’m going to be so upset because I am reacting to it and it is so tiny. But let’s see what they have to say. I swear. I swear.
Been around a lot of good quarterbacks, man. But you know his his his have to be Janu his ball just on another level.
I’ll meet y’all in the end zone then. Last year he was 36. [Applause] Last year was after the 2023 season though. So, you know, obviously he was high for a reason.
Go put some points on that board. Let’s go. two end zone [Music] only throws to his first read and if his first read’s not there he crumbles. I don’t know with my eyes I saw first read wasn’t there, second read wasn’t there and then he ended up throwing it to his third read over here. But who am I to say anything?
Touchdown. What a throw. You cannot drop the ball. It’s just right there. It’s just right there every time. You know what I mean? The the spiral, the spin on the ball, the velocity that the ball comes out with
to the end.
In overtime, the Dolphins win. That’s a lot of people don’t understand like you know, you running slant route, end cuts, digs, like you know, we make it look easy, but those are catches that you really got to focus on and key in on, you know what I mean? And really key the nose of the ball. Uh, Tu has got a knack of just getting it right there and it just fits your hands like a glove, man. Delivers. It’s Johnny Smith.
Oh, go hold on to that ball. Tug by low over the middle. Smith take it out. Tacklers touchdown. Good job, boys. Hey, if you don’t give two enough credit, you know how hard it is to throw to the bottom. They’re so small and fast. You got to be tack.
You look at it.
That was not even somebody who has ever played with Tua. Good job, bud.
Hey, if you don’t give Tua enough credit, you know how hard it is to throw to you’re so small and fast. You got to be tackling. You look at his career so far, he’s only only gotten better in many areas of his game. Winding out going.
This wasn’t the first read. This is the second.
First read three was Tyreek.
Tila Tungavoa led the NFL with a career-high completion percentage of 72.9. Fourth and goal to the end zone. Touchdown. the way that system is around him. He’s getting he’s getting his guys the ball now. So, it’s really like say hut bam balls in their hands and waddle and everybody else doing what they do.
Full acceleration touchdown. It is target practice for he’s a quick release quarterback so he has a way to get the ball of his hands fast. very and that’s the thing and that’s the thing that I talk about that you got to bring in backups that have that same ability that same processing speed that same quickness that same release because if you don’t then all of a sudden the offense takes a step back spend less average time with the ball in his hands between snap and the release of a pass driving Youngoa only averaged 4 and 1/2 yards on the ground per game, but few use their legs better to make something out of nothing. Let me go back. Let me go back because I’m hear I’m hearing a lot of different things from different people.
Jungaboa only averaged 4 and a half yards on the ground per game, but few use their legs better to make something out of nothing. My job is to have something in rhythm with the plays. Your guys’s job has been let’s extend plays when there’s nothing there.
Yeah. Well, still play within the timing, but if it’s not there,
they could not tackle Tua. Tua gets away from two defenders to keep that play alive. And nice easy throw to Tyreek Hill. How about that?
All I hear is he can’t do that. He can’t extend the play. He can’t do that. He can’t can’t can’t that he’s oneonone, man.
They go to Smith. He’s got it. Touchdown, Dolphins. Let’s go. Let’s go. [Applause] So, to a top 100 fall, a huge fall from 36 to 91. Um, I honestly didn’t think he would make the top 100 because of how many games he missed. Um, yeah, he he had a good uh completion percentage and stuff, but I honestly thought because he missed what, six games, seven games. He missed four being put on IR and then I think he missed two or three at the end of the year. Seven games. I don’t think I didn’t think he was going to make the top 100 because of that, but he did. And you guys got to realize something. Top 100 is voted by his peers. It’s by the players. So, they have enough respect for him that even when he doesn’t play a full season, um, what they saw him do in 2024, they still put him at 91 and still in the top 100. Again, I didn’t expect that, but this kind of just fortifies the things I’ve been talking about. And obviously, I’m going to do a expectation video for Tua in 20 for 2025. But, Tua can do these things. Tua can evade pressure. Tua can um extend plays. Tua can throw to the outside. Tua can get passes. Tua can do all the things that a lot of people say can’t, can’t, won’t, doesn’t, can’t, won’t. It’s just he has to do them consistently. And that’s where my reservation with Tua is. He’s got to stay healthy and he’s got to take his game to the next level and he’s got to do it consistently, especially when it’s crunch time, especially when it’s against teams that Okay, Tula, we need you. like we need you to do something here because obviously the offensive line has been a problem and injuries and this and that, but at the end of the day, you know, we’re playing the Ravens. He throws two interceptions. We can’t have that. Like, those are the games where Tua, we need you to lock in and not make those mistakes. The Houston Texans game throwing three interceptions. We lost by eight. Those are the games we needed him to lock in. We win that Texans game, we probably make the playoffs. So, those are the games that we needed him to lock in. Also, don’t run and hurt your hip and then you’re out for the next few games. Um, so there’s my reservation, but I will talk more about that. I’ll go more in depth with that uh when I do my expectations for 2025. But hey, Tua top 100, number 91 spot fell a lot from 36. But obviously 2023 and 2024, two different Tua, two different stats, two different plays. Um, Tua led the league in passing in 2023. obviously, like I said, was injured for 2024. So, hey, you know, a lot of players and you saw someone from the Colts, you saw a Washington commander talking about him and obviously it was a lot of Juno, a Juno, Jonnu and Terron, but you know, players recognize the things, the good things, and you know, a lot of the people who only say he can’t, can’t can’t, won’t, doesn’t obviously are wrong and they’ll never admit they’re wrong. Um, but again, to me, and I’m gonna do I think this week I’m going to do my um quarterback ranking. Uh, I think he’s above average. Now, for me, it’s elite, above average, average, below average, bad. I put him above average, just above average. But comment below. Let me know what you guys think. What’s your thoughts on Tua making the top 100 again, even after an injury year? Um, even after going eight and nine. Uh, he didn’t. Obviously the team did, but comment below. Let me know what you guys think. And I’m going to open this package. This package is from Caesar Castro from Merit Island, Florida. He hit me up. He was like, “Hey, what’s your PO box? I want to send you something.” And he did. And I I don’t know what this is. I always wait and open it on camera. I went and picked it up on Friday. It’s all taped up. Let me get my scissors. Let’s open it up. Let’s see what you sent me. You beautiful human being. Again, you guys don’t have to send me something. You could just send me a uh like a letter if you want me to answer a question or anything like that. Um but Caesar decided to gift me with some awesome things. Oh, this is awesome. Oh, these are awesome. Are these stickers? Dude, I’ve been looking. I swear I’ve been looking for stickers to put on my laptop. These are so awesome. Okay. Okay. Let me show you. First off, we got this. I’m putting it on my laptop. This is awesome. Uh magnets, too. Dude, these are amazing. More stickers. More magnets. Um Tyreek, this is cool. Do you do tattoo work? He does do tattoo work. Caesar, I’m coming down to Miami. Maybe I’ll get some work done from you. Oh, keychain. Another magnet. Some more stuff. I want to get some work done. He says, “Doug, I’m sorry. The holographic sticker is damaged. It was I was out of them and pulled it uh off my mailbox on my uh toolbox.” It’s all good, my man. Thank you for all these things. I think he’s talking about this one, but I didn’t even notice to be honest with you. Um, so I had to uh cut a magnet with it for you, dude. I love it. Enjoy the gifts. Fins up, Caesar. PS. These designs were created by me. These are awesome. These are absolutely awesome, Caesar. Like absolutely awesome. One more time. Absolutely awesome. I got to put these on my laptop. I got to find a place magnetized metal or something. Put these up. Thank you so much, bud. These are fantastic. Like I said, I’m going to be in Miami and I’ve been dying to get um tattooed. I want to get more tattoos done. So, I might hit you up. So, thank you so much for this. I was literally thinking to myself, I want to put dolphin uh dolphin stickers on my laptop. You sent them to me. Thank you so much. Again, if you would like to send me something, uh the PO box is in the description. Uh don’t feel like you need to. Um, but I will do a big old if I get a bunch, I’ll do a big old video on its own. If not, I normally do them at the end of videos, like a comment of the day type of situation. But other than that, I will see you Monday. Hope you have a fantastic Fourth of July. Hope you have a fantastic weekend. Stay safe. Enjoy the moment. Don’t be on your phone video. Just be in the moment. Enjoy the moment with your family and everything. Um, and I’ll see you Monday. We’re going to be talking Dline. Uh, and then I got some other stuff, rankings, and I’m I think I’m going to have some collabs and all that stuff. Two more weeks, start of training camp. So, like usual, stay classy.

  1. Hey Doug! Hope you and your family are well… been busy with puppy stuff but just a shout out to you my friend. Keep up the good work as always.

  2. Why does every week on your show with Td and poop head and Omar do y'all have to dog tua. And you al laugh an laugh about it. you can't even come in and enjoy the show because you're always dogIng our quarterback. If your name one thing that Herbert has done better than our quarterback.. I would like to come watch your show an stay an enjoy It.. I watch it every week but I wind up leaving cuz it always ends up making fun of tua..please pick another QB an dog him for a bit . Don't tell me every quarterback is better than him..

  3. Hey Doug. I sent something to your PO Box a couple weeks ago when you announced it. Guessing it got lost or something if you just checked it and it wasn’t there.

  4. Super bowl here we come Babyyy!! πŸ¬πŸ¬πŸ†™οΈ
    Real Life Tho!! 🏟πŸ₯πŸ––πŸΎπŸ₯‹πŸ§”πŸΎπŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«πŸ––πŸΎπŸ‘€πŸ˜±πŸ™πŸ˜πŸ˜

  5. If his peers voted him on the list how does he get bashed for this. Now moving forward he must stay on the field. No more excuses about that. But clearly the other players can see his talent and what he brings to the table

  6. The only thing we, as a fanbase, should be mad at Tua for is his inability to stay healthy. Outside of that, it's just a bunch of haters who don't know ball.

  7. Let's say the league only had 30 QB's in 2024. Average would be 15th – ish. We know there's more than 30 and even with that, Tua was ranked in the top 10 in almost every category with the 100% last ranked O-line in terms of time, in the entire NFL. He is not average or even just above average. He is close to elite and can be play elite on any given Sunday.

  8. Its important to know that its only the "fans" and media sources that bash Tua. As ive said for many years, normally i dont like ANY qb regardless of what they're with, but Tua has quickly matured despite the obstacles and become a true leader

  9. Tua is a top 100:player when he’s playing a below average team, for 8-10 games a season, when he’s not concussed…….!?!?πŸ˜ƒ

  10. i think this is the year….. your gonna see the best version of him than any other years… im putting my money dolphins will be in the superbowl

  11. If this revamped OL can give us a competent run game then I think that Tua won’t have to try to channel Larry Csonka and take on Safeties. Then he will stay on the field 🀞

  12. Dolphins don't have a Tua problem, they have a culture/toughness problem. Other quarterbacks can throw two int. in a game and still win games because of their defense, Tua doesn't have that luxury.

  13. I love that there's more content for the haters to feast on πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
And actual players saying how good Tua is.
Man, it must kill the haters to the core πŸ˜‚πŸ˜…

  14. Tua makes top 100 because the players around the ENTIRE NFL KNOW THE DOLPHINS OLINE HAD PROBLEMS AND WAS THE PROBLEM!!! THE DOLPHINS AGAINST GOOD DEFENSES THEIR OLINE COULDNT BLOCK THEM AND THE DOLPHINS WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO RUN THE FOOTBALL WHICH HELPS YOUR QB1 FROM GETTING HURT.
    FINS UP

  15. Really Doug? The 2 INTs against Baltimore.
He didn’t have his best game but he also had 2 TDs dropped, the D blew chunks and you have the nerve to talk about other people and bad narratives that they won’t let go of.
