Are The Detroit Pistons COOKING Something Special?!

You hear Dennis Shorers going to sign and trade for the Detroit Pistons, the Sacramento Kings. Y
then Shams comes out. It’s not a thing. He says straight up three-year deal, $45 million. Now you’re hearing again that it may be a thing. And the Pat get to decide on what they want in exchange.
Tell you what, like this never happened when Wo was in charge. Just saying.
There you go.
I I mean, you’re you’re you’re probably on the money with that one. Bring the W back. Loge would never put out a fake contract. It wasn’t happening. Just saying.
For sure.
Yeah, they’re they’re edging Pistons fans right now. We do. Um, you know, they’re just they’re just making us work for it. Um,
I had a guy who initially said like the Kings were trying to shop Monk for more at first.
Yeah.
But now it all sounds like the Pistons might not necessarily be interested in Monk.
I don’t know.
They be trying to like three-way and land Jonathan Kaminga. They’re trying a three-way. A three-way edge can get pretty nasty. Get intense.
They’re they’re trying to find somebody to work with. And there are a lot of different players that fit the amount of money. I can’t believe or I can’t remember exactly what
up to 23 million.
Yeah. Amari Sopion. It’s like a 14 to$23 million roster spot is basically what they’re looking to find from somebody else in this three-way trade.
You want to read it real quick?
Yeah. Yeah.
Pistons can take back up to 22.6 6 million in any sign and trade involving Schroeder, who will reportedly sign a three-year $45 million contract before he’s dealt to the Kings. Alternatively, Pistons can forgo taking back salary to generate a player trade exception of 14.3 million or they could take a player or multiple players worth up to 14.3. So, it’s not they take a player, it has to be that 14.3. I think Monk would be over that.
Yeah.
So, doesn’t sound like it’s going to be him. I I want it to be a stretch forward, dude.
That’s what we need.
Like Malik Monk would be cool. I would I would take Malik Monk. He’s a very good player. Him and and Caris Levert coming off the bench just isoing teams to death would be pretty cool to watch.
But
um I you a backup four would be great. You lost Fonteo. You didn’t replace that spot just yet. I think that’s what Trejan’s trying to do. I think he’s trying to get a backup for Tobias Harris to bring in a guy who’s more capable than Simon Flintio. And I don’t know who that’s going to be. I saw there was a list going out there of all the guys that fit that role or fit that
Yeah, I saw that actually. I probably should have screenshot that.
Uh let me see if I can find it. I think it’s in the group chat. Um yeah, I mean I guess I’m fine either way. The reason why the the free agency situation got a little bit frustrating for me is like I thought we were getting Malik Bunk for the jump. So I got I was like damn like Tan really took Schroeder who he got for nothing at the deadline had him contribute to a playoff run. I don’t want to say a run but your first playoff win in 20 plus years and now you’re going to he’s walking. You’re not going to be able to afford to pay him but you’re getting something in return. That’s a that’s that’s amazing. That’s like phenomenal move.
I’m back at that point though. Even if it’s not a player, it’s just the fact you’re getting something back in return. I’ll take that because I believe at the deadline the Pistons will make a move in some form or fashion.
You got Schroeder for free and now you’re getting something for him. It’s it’s absolute W. And you you look at Kyle Mets put this up on Twitter. Shout out
forwards that fit into Schroeder’s signing trade as is. Koozma, Dylan Brooks, Harrison Barnes,
Koozma, Ruy Hachimura, Patrick Williams, Kell Johnson, Jonathan Isaac, PJ Washington, Obie Topphin, Jared Vanderbilt, and Keegan Murray. Honestly, any of those guys I would be pretty happy with.
Did Koozma sign a giant deal? How would he fit?
It wasn’t that big.
Anson brought up Koozma earlier today.
Yeah. Uh, Koosma. Ah, he kind of disres I would take Ruie. I would take PJ Washington. I would obviously take Keegan Murray. I don’t know how you you
obviously we go over the We can go over the 14.6 if because Koozma’s 22.
Yeah, it’s like 14 to 23 or something like that.
Kaminga’s 22.
Yeah. Yeah. Koozma this year is 21.4.
Yeah, I believe 14 to 23 million was the roster spot that we’re looking to fill in the sign and trade. And those are forwards that fit that. And all of those forwards would be extremely good options coming off the bench.
Give you list one more time. Okay. Uh,
Koozma,
Koosma, Dylan Brooks, Harrison Barnes, Ruy Hachimura, Patrick Williams, Kell Johnson, Jonathan Isaac, PJ Washington, Obin, Jared Vanderbilt, and Keegan Murray.
I would take almost all.
I would take any of them. Absolutely any to be a backup four on this team.
Yeah.
My preferred probably in order of pref preferability, preferation, pre whatever.
Preference. Preference. Yeah, there you go. Uh, Keegan Murray would be number one. Okay. Over obi topping.
Over obi topping. I would probably put Rui Hachimura too. Can you
probably Jared Vanderbilt three and then ah PJ Washington too. I would put PJ Washington probably over Jared Vanderbilt. So my top three would probably be Keegan Murray, Ruy Hachimura, PJ Washington.
Got see a list in front of me. Visualize it.
He’s like the perfect predecessor. I mean actually Keegan would be the perfect press to to buy us
and like is can Obie Topphen consistently do what he did last year? Does he shoot what’s his three-pointers in his career?
Last year he went off. I think his career is 35. We were looking career he’s 35. Yeah,
which is good. Last year he was 36. The year before that he was 40 on three attempts.
Uber athletic.
Super athletic.
I think a guy like that for JB to get his hands on. Good rebounder.
JB could turn into a I don’t want to say defensive nightmare, but definitely a defensive piece.
Yeah. You know what I’m saying? We because we’ve seen JB do it this year with guys we never expect a defense out of. We saw the whole mentality of the team shift. If he gets a hold of Obie Toppin who also got a taste of an NBA Finals that’s like I’m Yeah. But I don’t again I don’t have the list in front of me today.
I look at PJ Washington as a guy that is very similar to
who post it again one more time. I apologize.
Um Kyle Mets here. I’ll just send it to you.
I appreciate you.
Um PJ Washington is a guy that I would like. It’s it’s a guy that I think would would fit the team well. I I like like you said, I like them all.
I just texted it to you. Let me send it on Twitter.
All right. Bet. Any of these guys would would fit extremely well as the backup power forward for the Pistons.
Um if Tjan Langden could do this to swing swing Dennis Schroeder, which he got for free for one of these guys at and improve your backup four spot. That would be an extremely big W
because Koozma did it with and I know Kade’s not obviously LeBron’s like athleticism but like style of play with Koozma.
Ruy too, dude. I I Yeah, but Ruie didn’t win it. Koozma did and he’s from Michigan.
Yeah, he talks a lot of about the Pistons though.
He does. But I mean
so
when you’re from here I take it a little different when you’re from here, you know.
And also he was talking about the Pistons team being ass. I’m talking about Detroit.
Ruy shot 41% on four threes last year and 42% on three and a half the year before that. Averaged 13 plus points both years.
No, Ruy’s a shooter.
Average five rebounds both years, half a block, about a steal. I would take Ruy. I think he he would be at the top of my list.
Ruy would be at the top of your list.
Yeah. Make
Jonathan Isaac would be great if he but stayed healthy.
He can’t stay healthy.
He’s made a glass. Uh Jonathan Isaac would be an all-star if he could stay healthy. Kuzz’s career shooting 33. Last year he shot 33 30 the year before.
Kuz is more of a pretty much the same thing Tobias is which is like a ball stopping forward that
Yeah.
can hit some threes but not super consistently.
Leon is a good shooter.
No, Ruy’s a very very good shooter. Again, I’m not opposed to that either. Yeah. With with LA cuz again with Lebron he was catch right.
Yeah. 36% on five attempts.
Yeah. So like if if he falls back and plays not even a Robin the the utility belt, it works out. But I’m with you. Ruby Ruby’s a better shoot.
These guys would be I would be happy with any of these guys really except for Jonathan Isaac because he’s
My computer’s frozen. Tell me what the chat’s saying.
Um everybody’s pretty much echoing sentiments.
Roy or Keegan. Uh Cardier says PJ and Keegan are the real prize wings. Um, DNC is talking about Vandy. You take Vandy, but he’s not in your top five, six or seven. It’s any of these guys. Yeah. Yeah. DNC says, “I would legit take any of them.” Um, Dante 151 with a super chat. He says, “Well, this just came up. Jonas Valenun is reportedly mulling a move to Europe and his decision could impact Nuggets, Kings, and Warriors.” Wow. Just wow. That is pretty crazy. Um,
that’s probably why this is happening.
That’s probably why this initially clear. Well, I guess if he moves though, that would still clear the I don’t know if it’s if the deal is officially done yet, though.
Yeah. The guy I talked to said they were looking to get more for Monk, not necessarily from the Pistons. I know I tweeted that out. I misread what he said. They could get more for Monk than Dennis Schroeder, which
and absolutely they could.
They could. Yeah. So, I I got
That’s why when I when people were like, “Yeah, it’s Shruder for Monk straight up.” I was like, “How would that make sense for the Kings?”
I just thought Trajan was the man at that point.
That would have been insane.
That would have been nuts. They got to do this. They got to figure this out. I’m sick of waiting. I don’t know. I didn’t know he could you could I guess July 7th when all these situations go through like the Lakers, I’m sorry, the Houston Rockets in order to acquire Kevin Durant working on the 17 NBA record 17 trade that have to evolve. That That’s insane.
Yeah.
I I I can’t I better keep up with three to four.
Seven team trade is pretty wild. That is wild. Maybe the Pistons get down on that. I don’t see how they wouldn’t. The Pistons have interest in Chris Bucher per uh Evans Cidry Cider.
Mhm.
He works for Forbes. Uh NBA contributor for Forbes. I I talked about Chris Buchet. I would not mind Chris Buché. I I don’t think that that I would I would definitely rather have anybody on the list that we just read over Chris Buché. He is a good rim protector and he can shoot from that four spot. So yeah, I I wouldn’t mind that. Wouldn’t be my first move, but if you miss out on the signing trade with with Dennis Shruder, Chris Buchche would be a fine consolation piece. It would not make me nearly as excited as any of the guys on this list.
Yeah.

Trajan Langdon and the Detroit Pistons are STILL COOKING with the Dennis Schroder trade. It was reported that the Dennis Schroder move was actually a sign and trade with the Kings but the return is still unclear. What do you want the Pistons to get for the veteran guard?
