It’s GAME OVER for NFL Passing Attacks..

Welcome in to another episode of Ravens Reports. It’s your guy Noah here with For the Flock. As always, bringing you guys our top five news reports and storylines coming out of our Baltimore Ravens. Today, Rashad Baitman going crazy in his workout. Z Flowers is also putting in some offseason work. This wide receiver duo is going to be absolutely dangerous. Zay Flowers also weighed in on rookie safety, the first round draft selection, and Malachi Starks. And speaking of Malachi Starks, we’re going to break down if the Baltimore Ravens have the best secondary in the National Football League and compare some other secondaries and how this could be a true nofly zone here in Baltimore. We also got Katon Mitchell putting in some work. Looks like he’s got the jetpack back on now that he’s recovered from that injury. We’re going to break all that down and more, man. So, let’s go ahead and dive into the content at number one. First of all, you know, we’re right around the corner, just a few weeks away from training camp. So football is officially back, baby. It’s July. It’s training camp season and then we have preseason games and then our first game, Sunday Night Football against the Buffalo Bills. That’s going to be absolutely electric. The the Ravens will be fired up for that one. But let’s talk about Z Flowers weighing in on Malachi Starks. Here’s what he had to say.
Yeah, Malachi like that. You going to see that chill. Wait till little bro lock in. Yeah, he like that. Once he catch that game speed in real life, he’ll be done. You feel me? He already caught up for real. My bad.
So, there’s been so much going on in the offseason with the Gier Alexander signing and, you know, getting Mike Green in the second round and the whole Justin Tucker situation. We have DeAndre Hopkins being brought in and just all kinds of stuff going on with the Ravens this year. We’ve had extensions and I feel like we’re overlooking a little bit like the first round draft pick like Malachi Starks. I feel like he’s kind of going under the radar a little bit with everything else that’s going on with the Baltimore Ravens. But Malachi Starks, the fact is the Ravens were able to get the best safety in the draft class in the first round despite, you know, picking in the back end of the first round. And Malachi Starks is a is a ball player. Not only is he super talented, but his like mental processing and his leadership is like bar none compared to when it comes to rookies. Malachi Starks is one of the most locked in. He’s got nothing but high praise from his coaching staff. Um Eric Diccasta talking about the interview and everything he had with Malachi Stark saying it was one of the best interviews he’s ever had. Plus, now we have his teammate here in Zay Flowers who is a pretty good receiver if you ask me. Talking about Malachi Starks and you pair him up with Kyle Hamilton and then the rest of the secondary and you get really really excited. Now, was the Baltimore Ravens plan originally to get Malachi Starks like in the starting role or was he going to be kind of like a sub player sub package like how they they kind of introduced Nate Wiggins last year. They didn’t just throw him out into the fire as a starter. And um they have done that with rookies in the past, but with secondary players, it feels like they like to kind of get him mixed in a little bit. Even Kyle Hamilton wasn’t like a immediate starter right off the bat, you know, despite being the 14th overall selection. But Malachi Starks is kind of being pushed into that right now because our Darius Washington went down with that injury. So, my point is is with his mental processing, his knowledge of football and his leadership, I think he’s actually going to be up for this challenge. He might have some some hiccups here and there, but I’m really excited to see his talent on display and paired up in the rest of the secondary and defense. It’s going to be really fun to watch. But at number two, speaking of Zay Flowers, you got to check this out. Out of all of the first round receivers that were taken in ZFL Flowers draft class in 2023, Z Flowers actually has the most explosive plays out of all of those receivers. And that was a really good receiver class, especially with these top three. You know, Z Flowers, Jordan Addison is a is a dog and then Jackson Smith and Jigba. Zay Flowers has the most explosive plays of over 20 plus yard receptions and I see that going up even more in 2025. Uh he was the first ever homegrown Ravens Pro Bowl wide receiver. He cracked 1,000 yards last year and um and we know we didn’t get to see him shot in the playoffs because he got, you know, injured his knee right there at the end of the season which was a really uh really unfortunate for the Ravens because he could have helped the Ravens, you know, get over that hump. That Buffalo Bills game might have been different if Z Flowers was on the field because when he’s on the field, the coverages shift and he’s a true weapon. He’s a true threat. We know Rashad Baitman stepped up big time and in the absence of Zay Flowers and was making big time plays, but Z Flowers, I could see him going over 1,200,300 yards this season. Um, he’s capable of having even more than that and being like a allpro type of receiver in my opinion. But the reality is is the Ravens have a lot of mouths to feed. They have the addition of DeAndre Hopkins. Rashad Baitman just assigned to a big deal. Uh Isaiah Likely, Mark Andrews. You got to give carries to Derrick Henry as well. So the Ravens, man, they got a lot of targets, a lot of mouths to feed, but Z Flowers is capable of being a top 10 receiver, top five receiver in the NFL, in my opinion. Speaking of Rashad Bait, man, and uh this this wide receiver duo, my guy’s been putting in some work. And you guys know if you’ve been watching the channel over the last few years, I have been a Rashad Baitman guy. Even when he was going through those injuries and um even when the fan base largely was down on him and saying that he was a bust and waste of a first round pick before the breakout with over 700 yards and nine touchdowns, making clutch play after clutch play, big third downs, big long touchdowns, getting behind the defense, showing off the 44 speed. Even before this last season, man, I was really high on Rashad Baitman. His talent is undeniable. He’s just his health has been the issue. And one of the things he talked about was that, you know, he had to dial down his training with the injuries because he loves training so much, but it actually turned out to his detriment where where he kind of overworked his body and was having some soft tissue thing, you know, had the foot and different things. But Rashad Baitman’s fully healthy and is actually ramping back up his training uh routine. And you can see this these clips here of Shawn Bayman putting in work. He looks really good. His route running is really good. He is one of the best true route runners in the NFL. And when you pair that up with like the yards after catch and the shiftiness and the speed of Z Flowers and then, you know, the contested catch ability of DeAndre Hopkins and the tight ends that we have and then the running game. Like man, you have an absolute like powerhouse offense. It’s going to be really really hard to defend. But Rashad Baitman, I’m going to go ahead and say this is the year over 1,000 yards for Rashad Baitman. Man, I’m going out and saying it, man. This is the year he cracks 1,000 yards. He wasn’t too far from it last year. And let’s also remember there was some times last season where Rashad Baitman was behind the defense or or open and the ball just didn’t come his way where he could have easily been flirting with a thousand yards last season. But I think this year is the year I think the Ravens will have two 1,00 yardd receivers similar to how the Eagles did the last few years with AJ Brown and Devonte Smith. I’m fired up for this wide receiver duo. And then don’t sleep on guys like Dvontes Walker, you know, who’s apparently taking a big step up as well. We got Tylon Wallace coming back who anytime his numbers called, he makes plays. I’m really excited about the the weaponry for Lamar and also just having some consistency with his wide receiver core. At number four, some more speed, some more juice, some more weaponry. Katon Mitchell. This guy, we saw him break out his rookie here like an absolute stick of dynamite. He would get a carry and he’d slip a tackle, even though he’s not a big guy, slip it and just bust open a 40-yard touchdown run. And um he just had this electric speed, you know, he could really bounce almost any run to the outside and still pick up yardage with his speed, but he was also like a tough runner in between the tackles and chiseling out yards and able to bust through the secondary a couple times. Really electric speed, just an absolute weapon to get the ball in his hands. I remember, you know, them trying to throw him screens, but then we know what happened, right? he had um that awful knee injury against the Jacksonville Jaguars. And with an injury like that, it takes a year and a half, two years to be fully recovered. Even though he was back last season, you know, about a year removed from the injury cuz he worked his butt off to get back. Um he still didn’t have the full speed, the full mobility that he had pre-injjury, but it’s looking like he’s, you know, 99% back. you know, this workout him of him uh plus the speed that he’s been recording on his private workouts has has been really really encouraging. And um will he push Justice Hill for some snaps and take a little bit of workload off Derrick Henry? Very possible. Maybe we’ll see some two back sets and get creative Derrick Henry and Keaton Mitchell or Justice Hill and Derrick Henry or whatever. Man, so many different options, so many different weapons for these for this Ravens offense to deploy. Now, the third year of Todd Monkin knowing his the strength of his personnel and how Lamar Jackson likes to run things. This is going to be a top three offense in the NFL. I think it’ll be the best. Um, just going out right now and saying it. But, uh, the defense also, I believe, is going to be a top five unit. If you look at the talent, man, I’m so fired up about that Jaier Alexander signing. But, um, I’m I’m really excited for this team. I I’ve said that a thousand times. But speaking of that secondary and Jaier Alexander um at number five, there’s been a lot of talks among the media and different talk shows and stuff. Do the Ravens have the best secondary in the NFL? And man, you already know. I actually didn’t plan on doing this, but I always have the Purple Shades on deck ready to go. So, yes, Baltimore Ravens do have the best secondary in the NFL, and they will have the best passing defense 2025. Not only will they have the best passing defense in 2025, but they will lead the NFL in turnovers as well. Not only will they be a no-fly zone, but they’re going to get a lot of picks, a lot of force fumbles, a lot of tip balls, and it’s going to be fun. Marlon Humphrey said it. He said, “Hey, the identity of this defense needs to be takeaways. Doesn’t matter how good you are. If you’re not taking the ball away, you’re not good enough.” So, I love that mentality. Then you got the the veteran and Jaier Alexander opposite of Marlon Humphrey. And then Nate Wiggins the first round pick. Then Malachi Starks the first round pick. And then Kyle Hamilton the first round pick who’s an allp pro. And then Rocoan Smith allp pro, first round pick. Like the Ravens are loaded, man. And I I’m excited about the pass rush to Adaf. He put on 20 pounds of muscle and is in a contract year. So he’s going to be more motivated than ever. Um Mike Green fell to the Ravens in the second round. should have been a top 15 type of pick with his pass rush prowess. Um, we have Kyle Vanoi who’s hungry for a Super Bowl, a veteran there. We also have uh some young dogs, you know, Tavius Robinson has been taking steps up. David Ojabo has got something to prove and has shown flashes at times. Now, Da Isaac has apparently looked really good. So, the Ravens pass rush room is looking really good. Then you got Nomni Madabk and Travis Jones to push the interior of that pocket. Man, this Ravens pass rush defense is going to be something deadly, something really serious. I’m I can’t wait to to see it on Sundays, man. We’re right around the corner. Like we said, we’re in July training camp season and um I love you guys. I can’t wait to watch Ravens football with you guys again. 1. Idk why but i have a really good feeling about Mike Green. I was watching some tape and he just makes plays man. I feel like hes going to be the biggest difference maker on our defense. Dont be surprised if he becomes a top 5 pass rusher in the future. Heard it here first lol

  2. Marlo already let it slip. Theyre gonna be rotating yhe DBs around in amd out of safety and nickel. Theres gonna be so much movement and confusion for opposing qbs 😂 i feel bad for qbs still on rookie contracts or just cant read a defense

  3. Bro, you've got to put some respect on Wallace's name. Wallace did damn well in that game in Buffalo for the opportunities given, which have never been that much. Yet, Lamar's longest touchdown catch isn't from Bateman, Zay, Walker, Andrew's nor Likely. It's from Wallace!!!!!!

  4. Whoa whoa ravens calm down now. I know we excited but we haven't done anything yet. Each year we get the hype we going to the super bowl and come up short. Each year we miss it by a play . Yeah we got a exciting secondary but can we stay healthy and make the plays? When playoff time come can we deliver look at the pros and cons guys. We got to beat our rivals in the north because they coming for us they know we have what they want. Raven Nation For Life

  5. But I wanna see Josh Ellen gi Lamar Jackson his MVP award. And be honest and tell the truth. He's not goingna tell the truth. That's his character. He know he didn't win no MVP that white boy. No d*** well, he didn't win no d*** m. V. P, he should be honest and give that a war to Lamar, Jackson. To be a good sport and say I don't deserve that

  6. See, cause I'm getting older now. And most people don't know what I recorded and stuff that I've done with the O j's and been on that soul train't back in 1977 I gotta show you, I gotta show you a quick clipping that anyway, man, I'm i'm out I got to. Find out what I. Where I can go check out the anybody playing in the web tonight is the queen Playing anywhere

  7. I just want them all to be healthy. I want them all to take care of themselves. Pay close attention how they move their bodies and how they come in contact with other players. When they're tackling, be careful, tackle right? Don't try to tackle so hard but enough to stop the runner and stop the passes. And protect Lamar Jackson at all time. He need an offensive line to give him time to get the ball off and not run for dear life. I was unhappy with that offensive line last year and that's the thing I'm worried about the offensive line and that d*** kicker those 2 things I'm concerned about. Take care of yourself. Why are you at practice?Don't injure yourself be mindful. You don't work all this practice just to be hurt

  8. That offense needs to be putting up some serious points this year and try to stay away from them close games because this team stack but I will say this the weakest link and his whole team is the kicker

  9. Justice hill and Keaton… justice is more physical and the pass protector, Keaton is better at getting more yards and has more juice… gon be interesting
