Brewers vs. Marlins Game Highlights (7/4/25) | MLB Highlights
Independence Day to you and yours. However, you’re celebrating Brewers coming off that series loss to the Mets. Marlins have won 14 of their last 19 games. They have won four consecutive series. It’s sandy Day today. On this Friday night, Sandy had a great month of June with the exception of that last start, still the first four starts of June. He had a 2.74 a bounces the back of the first baseman Wagman. He calls off Alcon and skirts to the bag himself. Three unassisted on the put out and a quick 123 frame for sandy Alcon quinn Priester Brewers have won each of his last six appearances. Probably his best start of the season. Last time out against Colorado Rockies. 95 pitches, seven innings, he punched out 11. Xavier Edwards hit for the cycle against the Brewers a year ago. A rocket for the right side of the infield base hit says welcome to Miami and he’s one for one tonight. And that will get Jesus sanchez to the plate, the right fielder for the Marlins 253 average seven home runs. 29 driven in for sanchez. The ground ball up the middle that’s going to sneak into right center field for a base hit Edwards around second back to back singles from the one and two spot in the line up. And Sanchez Lopez Lopez has been swinging a hot stick of late and that one, a ground ball could be two. Ortiz charging. He scoops to second for one on the first, not in time and the first run comes in Edward scores from third base. It is a 6 to 4 fielder’s choice but another RB I for the RB I machine right now. Otto Lopez, it’s one fish in the first. There’s a ground ball softly hit to second base and Ramirez is out for the second out. Lopez goes to second on. The play was not a double play ball and there’s two down with a runner in scoring position now for Kyle Stour and he got him looking sinker low inside corner strikes out stoer and it’s a nice job of limiting the damage by free. He gives up one, but that’s it. We go to the second inning one. Marlins contra gone six up and six down and 18 pitches. And he now sees the seven inning first baseman jake one Fish. Bowers is a little Tripler right side. Wagman picks it up. He will take it to the back himself and beat Bowers by a half step. Make it seven in a row for Alcon. Here comes Durbin caring an eight game hitting streak now and he lifts one to left for a base hit. He’s got a nine game hitting streak on a hop in front of ST it lands, throws it in the hold Durban at first. There goes the runner in the pitch is inside. He walked him the ball forward to Joey and the Brewers have two on with one out single by Durban and Then Joey walks right in one nothing Marlins. But now the lineup card turns over as the Brewers have their first threat of the night. Here comes Sal lined hard to center to begin the ball game and a ball by how about that was going into his motion. Durban was kind of dancing off of second base and I just stopped. He lifted his leg. You can’t do that. The easiest block call we’ll see all year. The Brewers get him to 2nd and 3rd with one out. After that mistake, the 11 sal hits it in the air. This is carrying back in the right center field. It tie the game, the center fielder Myers back on the edge of the right center field. Warning track makes the catch tagging from third is and he scores over to third Ortiz deep sacrifice and the Brewers on the board, it’s a 11 game that pays dividends for the Brewers and hurts Sandy at that point because they would have had just first and second. The go ahead run goes to third with two away here in the third inning for William Contreras line drive base hit, pulled into left center field. Contreras splits the gap. It’s rolling all the way to the fence trotting in from third Ortiz and William will jog into second base delivers a two out RB I double and the Brewers are in front 2 to 1 in the third inning and that was another smash this time. Contreras finds the gap in at a perfect sinker. Sandy fires his best pitch to end the inning but damage done against him. Two runs in for two and a half, a one on one out. It brings up Jesus sanchez. He had a base hit back in the first inning chopper out in front of the mound. Priester is on it. He lobs it to first and he sails it down the right field line. It’s backed up by teng pro to third, gets away who they’re making a mess of this. Baby. Sanchez will stop at second and the Marlins have tied the game boy, a short handed Brewers crew that won the overall team gold glove award last season. They just went back to little league with that puppy one unassisted Priester tags Ramirez that pushes sanchez to third Lopez to second with two away. It’s fly ball to center by stour is deep but playable right on the warning track for the center fielder choro and he squeezes it as stour hits a deep fly out. The Marlins get an unearned run and the Brewers have runners on 1st and 2nd with only one out six pitched to Bowers right there called strike 32 away with two on in the top of the fourth. And it’s going to be up to caleb Durbin if the Brewers are to cash in on this rally here in the fourth Durbin flair, shallow center, tough play and it will fall. A base hit Chur trying to score. The throw goes to third. Collins is safe at third Churel able to score the run. It’s a blue bar single by Caleb Durbin and the Brewers have the lead. It’s 3 to 2 in the fourth. Caleb just keeps on delivering with runners in scoring position. Now strike one runner goes for second. They’ll throw through but not in time to get Durban and he in safely to put runners on 2nd and 3rd batter is Joey Ortiz. Now a base hit could play two ground ball off of that will get at least one more run home. Here comes the second run and the Brewers break it open in this fourth inning and the Brewers have scored three with two out in the fourth inning to take a 5 to 2 lead in Miami, two runner gets a head start. Now, a Tomahawk chopper over to first base Wagmans got it. That is just down the first base line, a fair ball and Wman takes it to the back in the inning. Connor Norby, former Baltimore Oriole pitch to Connor Norby. He drills out to right center and it is gone early pyrotechnics, Connor Norby, he’s getting right fifth homer of the year. A solo shot to right center and it’s a two run game 53 Milwaukee in the bottom of the fourth one away in the bottom of the fifth Sanchez to rip past the dive of the first baseman Bers down the right field line into the corner. It’s hit number 400. Sanchez and it may be three relay throw to third head, first dive. He is safe. It’s a one out triple in the bottom of the fifth. His 4/100 hit a triple. So sanchez 90 ft away with one out Brewers will bring that infield in now for Otto Lopez. Otto Lopez in the air last time. Yeah, baby, it is gone homer number nine and it’s a brand new game in the bottom of the fifth. And of course, it’s Auto Lopez because that’s just what he’s been doing. Sandy Al Contra’s night is over five runs, five hits, six innings a walk, four strikeouts as Anthony Bender veteran right hander takes over Durbin to third two away for William Contreras. Chopper hits softly going to be a tough play bender fields. It throws it to what a play. That’s a gold glove play by Anthony Bender if it stands and the Brewers want to take a look at it. He’s out, he’s out. Anthony Bender. Come on, come on down an amazing play by Anthony Bender. That ground ball out against Strands. A man at third hit Gibson Gibson has given up a run in each of his last two outings has to deal with the meat of the Brewers groundball back up the middle and a base hit for leadoff man is on for the second straight inning Brewers tonight. He extends his on base streak to 16 games. Middle of the order. Now Jackson Chio for two is hit by a pitch and scored a run that is a fair ball inside the bag. Jelic cutting the bags, he’s going to come around and score as Churel has an RB I double, the Brewers are in front. Jackson Chur, his first hit in Miami and 23rd double of the season. Jackson Chio comes through right here in the top of the eighth inning to put the Brewers up by one, 65 Brewers and they bring in Trevor mcgill to try and shut the door 18 out of 21 and save opportunities. Fly ball center field for one away to get a pinch hitter. It’s Liam Hicks and a line drive caught by Durbin at third left as high as he could and Durbin brought it down. What a play by Durbin right here and position perfectly lines one and Durbin gets up and takes a hit away from him for the second out here in the ninth, Trevor mcgill has had one run leads in nine save opportunities. He converted eight of them so far that one, a line drive through the right side of base hit again. All you need is a baserunner Xavier Edwards with a two out single and that brings up Jesus sanchez, that one misses outside ball four winning run on base. You got to face a pretty hot hitter right now and with runners at 1st and 2nd, 2 men gone mcgill sees Otto struck him out. This one is over fireworks in Miami for the Brewers as they take down the Marlins 6 to 5. Trevor mcgill works his way through the ninth and slams the door and the Brewers take game one of this series by a final of 6 to 5.

GO BREWERSSSS
First 1 here
Go Brewers
Things started off pretty good for the Fish but the bats went quiet midway through. Bounce back next time!
Good win Brewers π
I was at that game
My team is in the nl east but I like to see the Marlins do good
The Miami Marlins are 39-47β«οΈπ΅π’βͺοΈπ βοΈποΈπ
There's no way the Brewers can take this series. Miami is too damn hot right now.
Wasn't pretty but it's a needed win
Final batter scripted strikeout
What in the F was that strike zone. Like come on Cory Blaser. Another win for ABS
Here's what I don't get.
If you're going to have the Brewers wear some July 4th gear, why not go full uniform? Why still wear the boring away grays?
Marlins made them boys sweat.
These umpires were tweaking lol
Go beers
I think itβs time for sandy to go
