Where will this team finish in the standings barring any major injuries?

top 7 in east
40-50 wins. Health and player development will be the swing factors.
I may be more optimistic than most but this really could be a 5 seed in the East
Definitely a playoff team but it’ll probably be through the play-in
Anything less than sixth seed and I’d be disappointed
46 wins
Safe to say we back in the playoffs barring injuries. Anything can happen after that 🤞
The talent inflation in the NBA is very real. Back in 2020, I’d consider a team with two fringe all-stars(Ingram and Barnes), and 3 above-average-at position players(Quickley, Barrett, Poeltl), with a underwhelming vut not horrible bench to be solid abd poised for a top 4 seed.
The thing is, all the traits I’ve just mentioned, just avout everyone else has em too now.
7th or 8th
get rid of IQ, we need a better ball handler. i feel like after he came to Toronto and had a few great games, masai thought he could be the future of raptors and overpaid for him… RJ I can make the case for b/c he’s a Toronto man at heart
Solid starting lineup. One issue is that the starters haven’t found chemistry. IQ and Barnes haven’t worked as well as expected. I’m sure that IQ’s injuries were a major reason for that.
If they put it together they can be very formidable. Injuries will probably be the deciding factor. BI and IQ really need a healthy season with the team.
Probably the play-ins to be honest, doubt we make the playoffs but we shouldn’t finish lower than 11th because the Wizards, Hornets, Bulls and Nets are all still cooked
At the bottom
Play in loss
First 30 games are going to matter the most. That’ll determine how we approach the Trade deadline and the roster will change.
We don’t have schedule yet but I’m very bullish.
Somewhere between 7-10
5th or 6th, knowing how compromised the east is
I’m excited to see these guys play together. I’m also glad we have a decent bench.
Play in
6th.
While everyone is worried about Ingram, I’m actually more worried about the shooters. Gradey, Ja’Kobe and Shead (also Battle to an extent) have to be fully consistent in order for this team to work.
I think IQ and RJ will be fine for the starters since I think there’s more space for them now that Ingram is here.
Shooting shooting shooting. If they can at least be average, this team has a legit chance every night.
7th
5th seed
Considering the end of bench played as hard as they last year with starters down and tanking, if the starting 5 stay healthy and even improve by a little bit, we can get top 6 easily.
In this east? 6-8
Hali, Dame, and Tatum are probably out this year. The east will be weak as ever. Hopefully 5 or 6, probably 7 or 8 though
7 or 8
Probably 7? But with injuries, 11th. Same as last season.
